The Daily Greenfield

By Rich Kozlovich

As usual Daniel Greenfield has great insights in his commentaries, and I'm amazed at his output.  High volume with outstanding logic.  He's doing battle in a lot of trenches, and he's at the top of the journalistic world with his commentaries.  I added the cartoon, since it's in harmony with the thrust of his commentaries.....in short.....something really stinks in Washington.

Please enjoy today's offerings for January 11, and January 12.

Teachers' Union School Closures Are Creating Supermarket Food Shortages

Are you seeing empty shelves at your local supermarket? It's not just Biden, but also his political allies, like the teachers' unions, who are responsible.  Teacher's unions have greedily tried to get out of working again by forcing school districts to go back to Zoom classes. This has been disastrous for children, but it's also keeping some parents home. And that's creating added pressure on the already strained supply chain...........…9 comments

Biden Throws Another $308 Million at Talibanistan, U.N.Wants $4.4 Billion

No, we haven't withdrawn from Afghanistan. Biden retreated humiliatingly under fire while leaving Americans behind and dispatching insanely massive amounts of foreign aid to Afghanistan.  Here's another $308 million courtesy of American taxpayers. Buy yourselves some really big rockets……"Independent humanitarian organizations" means groups that the Taliban can shake down for cash while Biden maintains plausible deniability as I already reported in, 10% of Biden’s Afghanistan Aid Will Go To Taliban, and, Samantha Power and the Business of Funding Terrorism.….7 comments

American Women Quarters Bans Straight White Women

Move over, Betsy Ross, Molly Pitcher, and Clara Barton.  On the heels of the ugly Maya Angelou commemorative quarter, which not only looks nothing like her, but commemorates an anti-capitalist Castro supporter who hated this country, the American Women Quarters Program will feature "the accomplishments and contributions of trailblazing American women" which consist of astronaut Sally Ride, Wilma Mankiller, Nina Otero-Warren, and Anna May Wong.

The most obvious thing here is that this isn't a selection of trailblazing women. Aside from Sally Ride, the actual accomplishments here are disputed. And I doubt Sally Ride would have made this list if it weren't reported after her death that she was a lesbian. (It's not at all clear that Ride wanted this announced, it was publicized after her death.)……….8 comments

Youngkin Pick of Black Woman Disproves Dem "Voter Rights" Lies

Lefties are fuming over various picks by incoming Governor Youngkin and with election rules emerging as one of the big battlefields, they're angry that Kay Coles James of the Heritage Foundation was picked as Secretary of the Commonwealth. People for the American Way through its Right Wing Watch hate blog rants that James, who is African-American, opposes various Dem election rigging moves that are being carried out to "help" minority voters.

As James already noted, “the left’s real agenda isn’t about helping minority voters; it’s about helping themselves: They believe voter fraud favors their candidates, plain and simple.” The Left is reduced to accusing a black woman of racism to defend their election rigging efforts and voter fraud protection legislation……3 comments

Biden's State Dept Lobbying Congress Against Russia Sanctions

The collusion is real and it's spectacular. The Biden administration on Monday deployed top officials to Capitol Hill in a bid to lock in wavering Senate Democrats against a GOP push for sanctions on a Russian gas pipeline. Democrats are poised later this week to reject Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-Texas) sanctions bill that would cripple the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which is in the final stages of approval and will send cheap natural gas from Russia to Germany. Cruz's plan, Democrats argue, would undercut President Joe Biden's ability to use the pipeline as leverage over Moscow as it threatens to invade Ukraine again.

That last one is hilarious since the Biden administration made it clear that it's not going to stop Nord Stream 2. Imposing sanctions would actually provide more leverage since the Biden administration would be able to offer to lift them…...2 comments

Biden's Critical Race Theory Education Secretary Solicited Accusations That Anti-Critical Race Theory Parents Were Terrorists

Not exactly a surprise, but the evidence is adding up. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona asked the National School Boards Association to draft a controversial letter that referred to the parents of schoolchildren as potential domestic terrorists, emails show. According to emails obtained by the group Parents Defending Education, association official Kristi Swett wrote to a colleague that the group's executive director Chip Slaven said "he was writing a letter to provide information to the White House, from a request by Secretary Cordona [sic]."

Slaven and National School Boards Association president Viola Garcia called on President Joe Biden in the Sept. 29 letter to deploy the FBI and use the Patriot Act to investigate threats made against school board members as acts of "domestic terrorism." Attorney General Merrick Garland formed a federal task force to investigate threats against school boards on Oct. 4. Again, I don't imagine that this surprises anyone, but it shows how this developed. There are similar elements here to the Steele dossier in which the accusation comes seemingly from a reliable outside source, but is actually being put forward at the behest of the government……1 comment

Fascism is Descending on Florida, Yet Lands Only in New York

Every few years the propaganda outlets of the Left shake up their language, bring out new dictionaries, and rebrand their messaging, adopting new buzzwords that mean the same things. "Authoritarianism", the hot new lefty buzzwords, running second to "misinformation" is typically meaningless. It can be used to refer to any political opponent who gets things done. Take this absurd headline from the Gainesville Sun... "Under Gov. Ron DeSantis, Florida is drifting toward authoritarianism".  How does a state with free elections drift toward "authoritarianism" as if it were a piece of flotsam in the gulf?

To paraphrase Tom Wolfe, the dark night of fascism is always descending on Florida and yet lands only in New York where four-year-olds and their babysitters have to show their papers………4 comments

The Media is Trying to Save Biden From Himself

No one likes a backseat driver, but in times of great political stress when the media's candidate appears to have lost the plot, it begins to step in. And that's a double warning.

1. The media has lost faith in the administration and is trying to save the cause from the politicians it backed.

2. It's also a warning that the media will only carry so much water. It won't stop its overall water carriage business, but on some issues it will break with the Biden administration, as it would occasionally break with the Obama administration.

First, the Washington Post tried to dissuade the Biden administration from trying to gaslight the public by convincing them that inflation was a corporate conspiracy, and instead urged blaming the public for spending too much money. Though considering spiraling food prices, that argument is ultimately just as stupid and doomed………1 comment
