PETER TSADILAS IS A GREEK ήρωας (hero)
It’s easy to take a position on controversial issues when you won’t suffer any financial consequences. It is much harder when it hurts your small business. That is why we should give a big round of applause to Peter Tsadilas, the owner of the Golden Globe Diner on Main Street in Huntington, Long Island. Almost as soon as the murderous Hamas committed its atrocities on Israeli civilians, killing 1,400+ innocent civilians, injuring thousands more and kidnapping 200+, Tsadilas posted photos of the kidnapped Israelis along with the Israeli flag on his diner storefront. The Greek Tsadilas did this because he knows Israel is fighting evil.
Some pro-terrorist regular customers boycotted the dinner, three staff members quit and according to Tsadilas, DoorDash employees refused to deliver his food orders. (DoorDash said they investigated and disputed Tsadilas’ claim.)
The result of his supporting Israel? Tsadilas says the first week he lost 40 percent of his business. If that had continued, the diner would have closed, and pro-terrorists would have been thrilled.
But then word got around about what happened at the Golden Globe Diner and suddenly business was booming with people of all faiths coming to eat. Some were local and others drove long distances to show their appreciation and personally thank Tsadilas for showing that he supports Israel.
Speaking to the New York Post, Tsadilas said:
“I’m not Jewish, but my father-in-law is Jewish. My partner is Jewish. My best friend is Jewish. You know, it’s the humane thing to do. And, we want to find these people and bring them back. It’s not my family, but if it were, I would want people to speak up about it. … We’re all people. I don’t want Palestinians to die. I don’t want anyone to die. But what happened to Israel was an attack,” he said. “These are people’s kids, and fathers and mothers. It’s disgusting. Wars should be left to countries and armies, not innocent people.”

LAWRENCE FRANKLIN: An Unsung American Hero, by Al Bienenfeld
Ultimately, they failed to imprison Colonel Lawrence Franklin for any lengthy stay but forced a plea deal on him to protect his family from persecution. This patriotic American was stripped of his well-earned pensions and has lived in poverty for almost twenty years.
Colonel Franklin could have avoided his mental, physical, and financial pain and suffering by assisting the Bush administration in framing a Jewish activist. The U.S. government’s goal was to “hang” one Jew to keep the others in line. This is what was done in Nazi death camps. My friend refused.
How many of us would have had the courage to do the same?
The Jewish community learned what was happening and stepped up to his aid, saving Colonel Franklin’s home and vehicle. Still, his life has been difficult. He has struggled to provide and care for an ailing wife who seemed to spend more time in the hospital than at home.
Below is a quote from his eulogy to his “Woman of Valor.” Take a few minutes to read the full quote to appreciate what a wonderful woman Patricia was.
When I first met Patricia Franklin (formerly Taggart) as a patient at Walter Reed Army Hospital, I was enthralled by the beauty, innocence, and goodness her eyes projected from her inner being.
For the next fifty years, her unselfish, often sacrificial love for others transformed me from a streetwise combatant raised in a housing project to a warrior with compassion for the burdened but no tolerance for hatred energized by age-old poisons of prejudice.
My lover Pat was our children’s woman of valor as well, raising and homeschooling them much of the time. Pat watered their intellect and fed their souls, so much so that today they are each other’s best friends.
Who among us can ever forget when we first saw that special someone, the feeling of nervous excitement? Too often in today’s world we discount the role of motherhood in our society. It is incredibly important and certainly not an easy job.
My friend Colonel Franklin has the soul of a warrior and poet. A modern-day Cyrano. [The legendary poet and master swordsman made famous in an Edmond Rostand play.]
We should all aspire to meet Colonel Franklin’s integrity and his devotion to caring for our loved ones.
UPDATE: Colonel Franklin is planning to go to Israel and serve in training outlying small towns in self-defense. He is 77 years young!

SPAIN TODAY: A growing Muslim population To date, we have highlighted Great Britain, France, and Germany. This week, we look at Spain. The Muslim population in Spain has increased 10 times in the last 30 years. Official records say it is currently 2.5 million. Mohamed Ajana, the Secretary of the Islamic Commission of Spain, told Anadolu that it is closer to 3 million. According to the Secretary:- More than one million Muslims in the country are Spanish citizens, some of them are immigrants and others are of Spanish origin.
- Muslims from Morocco, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Senegal, and Algeria are in the majority.
- The majority of the Muslim population in Spain lives in industrialized regions such as Catalonia, Valencia, Andalusia, and Madrid.
- There are currently 53 Islamic federations serving the Muslim community in Spain, and that there are about 2,000 mosques.
There were multiple incidents at synagogues following the brutal Hamas October 7 attack on Israel. Several leftist Spanish leaders made the usual pro-terrorist comments. However, Spain’s official position:
“In any case, the position of the Government of Spain as a whole with respect to the terrorist attacks perpetrated by Hamas is clear: categorical condemnation, demand for the immediate and unconditional release of hostages and recognition of Israel’s right to defend itself within the limits set by International Law and International Humanitarian Law.”

"They will keep them until a few days before the convention and then he would announce he's not running, release his delegates, and there would be a floor fight for the nomination. But at least there wouldn't be a long primary battle."

On the INDEPENDENT side, the New York Times/Siena College poll shows that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has a lot of support in the key battleground states among Americans under 45 years of age. Per the poll, 34 percent of registered voters between 18 and 29 support RFK, Jr. for president. While Kennedy has a few positions that align with Conservatives and Republicans, the vast majority are to the LEFT of Joe Biden. Jill Stein, who ran in 2016, announced she is a presidential candidate on the Green Party ticket. It is believed that independent candidates like Stein and Cornell West will take votes from Democrats, no matter who their nominee is, because of their extreme positions. Ditto for RFK, Jr.
ARE WE NOW A COMMUNIST NATION?
Some recent events that make us wonder if the republic can be saved.
- As noted above, on November 3, the House voted to sanction Hamas terrorists and their supporters. A startling 45 Democrats voted NO on that resolution. This is irrefutable proof that there is a Hamas Wing in the Democrat party!
- The Biden administration’s two-tier Department of Justice continues to go after Americans who did not commit any act of violence but were near the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Not in the Capitol, but near it. We are waiting for arrests from Rep. Tlaib’s October insurrection at the U.S. Capitol or the violent November protest near the White House where statues and buildings were damaged. We have a long wait ….
- Multi-millionaire George Norcross, a top Democrat supporter, was REMOVED from his suite at the November 5 Eagles-Cowboys game at Lincoln Financial Field because he draped an American-Israeli flag over the ledge. Stadium officials informed the long-time suite holder that they won’t allow:
“Signs, banners or similar items that are obscene or indecent, not event-related, potentially offensive to other patrons, capable of blocking the views of other fans or otherwise deemed dangerous or inappropriate by the Eagles are prohibited.”

OR IS THE TIDE TURNING TO FREEDOM?
With our prayers and involvement, we must have hope of saving our republic. Let’s look at some recent wins that show the tide might be turning in the direction of Conservative Judeo-Christian values. However, we need Republican LEADERSHIP, which seems to be in short supply:
- The Sheraton Mesa Hotel in Mesa, Arizona was planning to host the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) Arizona annual fundraising banquet on November 18, 2023. Rabid anti-Semite and Hamas loving US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib was to be CAIR’s special guest speaker. Phone calls, emails and letters DO work! The Sheraton Mesa canceled the event!
- We are pleased that 22 Democrats voted with Republicans on November 7 to censure pro-terrorist Representative Rashida Tlaib. Yet, that still leaves a lot of Democrats (and five Republicans) who don’t appear to have an issue with Tlaib’s comments about the destruction of Israel and Jews. The vote was 234-188, making Tlaib the 26th representative in the history of the House to be censured.
Spineless Republican Rep. Dave Joyce of Ohio voted present. The four cowardly Republicans who against the censure:
Ken Buck—Colorado, Thomas Massie—Kentucky, John Duarte—California, Tom McClintock—California.

TARGET: Targeting “flat-out lies”
Target CEO Brian Cornell has given interviews insisting the giant national chain never marketed transgender bathing suits to CHILDREN! Consumers' Research executive director Will Hild didn’t hide his disdain for Cornell’s “flat-out lies.” Speaking on Fox News Digital: "He just flat out lies about what Target did. He says that they didn't target children with transgender ideology products, and he says that they didn't work with the devil worshiper. Both of those things are verifiable facts. They've been reported by a number of different publications, and there's just no question that this was done. He's flat out lying to his customers."

California MassResistance parents recently forced online public charter school to remove all LGBT propaganda books. School officials strongly resisted, but finally agreed to the parents’ demands. - For more than 50 years, the daycare center in the German village of Tangerhutte (eastern part of the country) has been named after Anne Frank. Now officials want to change the school’s name to be more inclusive. The Jewish Anne Frank was 15 years old when she died in 1945 in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Guess it’s time for Germany to forget its Nazi past.
- Five Nordic governments (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden) announced in a recent press conference that they have come together to step up their cooperation to return immigrants without legal residence in the region to their countries of origin. The ministers from the five countries shared that most of the immigrants are not integrating into their new country and there are many issues related to crime and violence.
MOMENT IN HISTORY: Could this happen today? Thanks to crushing government bureaucracy where infinite local, state, and federal regulations can stifle the marketplace it can take months or years for a new or existing building permit to be approved and the structure built or upgraded.
