To Thwart Trump, Democrats Want to Make America Expensive Again

What if the price of stuff comes down? Don’t worry, Democrats probably have a plan for that.

Donald Trump may not have prevailed in the Papal primaries – had he won, orange smoke would have been seen above the Sistine Chapel – but to be fair, he has been rather busy doing presidential stuff. That includes bludgeoning other countries with tariffs to get them to accept a more level trade playing field. That the tariffs haven’t rocketed the prices of everything to economy-crushing highs appears to have left Trump’s critics with a problem. Worse still, it might be that the president has ended decades of American pain at the pharmacy counter, signing an executive order that restructures drug pricing so that people in this country will no longer pay an arm and a leg for the same medications available so much cheaper everywhere else.

All this means that those on the left have no choice but to adopt a new economic model based on the principle that paying less is never a good thing.

Just recently, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) appeared on CNN with a message of doom and gloom. The “dumbest trade war in the history of this country,” she asserted, would cost millions of Americans their jobs, their retirement savings (how adorable that she thinks Americans have retirement savings), and “taking on even higher costs for everything they buy.” The senator may have been on a spirit quest for the last four years and not noticed that inflation climbed to well over 9% at one point.

The April inflation figures have, at least for now, wrecked Democratic predictions that Trump’s tariffs would send the cost of everything through the roof. Year-to-date inflation stands at 2.3%, compared to the lowest annual rate of 2.9% for the four years Joe Biden occupied the White House.

The Catastrophe of Lower Prices Under Trump

And yet, it’s hard for Trump’s obsessed detractors to find anything they can point to – at least for the time being – that’s more expensive now than it was at the end of last year. Unless one lives in a blue state, where gas prices will be rising, not because of the price of gas but because those states will be piling on the taxes. That process is already beginning, and some are predicting that gas prices in California could reach $8 a gallon or more within a matter of months. Residents of many southeastern states are currently paying less than $2.70 for a gallon of gas – and under $2.50 a gallon in some places.

If Warren’s predictions of catastrophe turn out to be wrong, what is plan B for the Democrats? Obviously, they need a way to convince people that lower prices will be the ruin of us all. CNN is already laying the groundwork for that one. “Despite tariffs, car prices aren’t shooting up. That’s not necessarily a good thing,” warned a headline on the network’s website. Essentially, the thrust of the article is that the US auto industry will collapse unless Americans pay a lot more for cars.

Many Democrats’ favored TV news network is also practically salivating at the prospect of the Trump executive order on drug prices being challenged in the courts. One can probably anticipate a barrage of media reports and op-eds in the coming days, explaining why cheaper medications for Americans are a terrible idea – for a variety of fantastical reasons. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who has for a long time fought to bring down drug prices, is suddenly not so keen on the idea. In a recent TV interview, he, too, expressed confidence that the president’s executive order aimed at reducing those prices would be stopped by the courts.

Your News – How You Like It!

It is as sad as it is true that the last thing Democrats want is for things to cost less. It is not a matter of them being mean – though plenty of folks on the right might beg to differ – but rather a question of political reality. Democrats obviously want to win back the White House in 2028; what they don’t want is Trump being remembered as a good or successful president, even if they do. If Americans see their cost of living reduced – or perhaps if not reduced, then at least not going up – then Democrats lose on both counts: They will find it hard to take back the White House, and, maybe even worse, Trump will bow out with a portfolio of success. Maybe even greatness.

Meanwhile, his political opponents will still be stuck with the legacy of Joe Biden: a befuddled and sometimes irrationally angry pensioner who could never resist making everything about himself and the strange and mythical tales of things he never did.

So, the narrative is already preordained: If prices go up, that’s bad for the economy. If they go down, that’s bad too. Sure, Americans might have a little extra money, but Trump is killing American industry. Yes, that’s got a nice ring to it. Go with that.

The Threat to Democracy Narrative Unravels

Examining the challenges of rhetoric over substance.

Certain elected Democrats across the US – and particularly in Washington, DC – are fond of speaking about various things and people being a threat to democracy. As the 2024 general election looms on the horizon, however, it is worth examining whether these fearmongers are themselves posing just such a threat as they strive to deny American voters their right to choose who will reside in the White House come January 2025.

It is difficult to know for sure whether Democrat power brokers are earnestly thinking about replacing Joe Biden as their 2024 nominee. In the left-wing media there seems to be a growing sentiment that the party should find a way to put up someone else to face the likely Republican candidate, former President Donald Trump. Especially in social media, theories are swirling that Mr. Biden will be pushed aside at the party’s national convention in August – after he has officially secured the requisite number of delegates.

It is unlikely that Biden’s party will snub him in favor of, say, California Gov. Gavin Newsom or former First Lady Michelle Obama. That type of move would signal a massive humiliation of the current president, essentially admitting that either Biden’s cognitive decline renders him incapable of serving a second term or that his first term has been an utter failure. Party apparatchiks must also be cognizant of the down-ballot races and be prepared to do anything and everything in their power to avoid a wipeout. But the greater issue is this: If Biden were replaced by someone who didn’t even officially run for president, the narrative around threats to democracy would collapse.

Unless someone else wins enough delegates in the primaries to have earned the right to claim the nomination, Joseph R. Biden, Jr. is the party’s only option. Replacing him, in defiance of the will of the voters, would represent a clear threat to democracy. If the majority of Democrats wanted someone else, they could make it known themselves by not voting at all in the primaries, writing in another name, or voting for one of the other declared candidates.

Effectively, the party would be saying to its own voters: We cannot trust the choice you made in the primaries. Thus, we are putting up someone else for whom not even one of you voted – or was even given the chance to vote. We are telling you, Democrat voters, that it is we – and not you – who choose the nominee. The primaries, from now on, are merely for show.

Of course, if this theoretical move came to pass, Mr. Biden’s replacement would still have to face the voters in the general election, his party’s voters would find themselves having to support someone they did not select to run for the White House.

No Clearer Threat to Democracy

One could argue that the Democratic Party has the right to handle its own primary process however it sees fit, but there is yet another factor worthy of note. The Atlantic, on February 23, put forward a hypothetical scenario that could plunge the nation into a constitutional crisis – and perhaps worse.

Should the eventual Republican nominee – most likely Trump at this point – win enough Electoral College votes (270) to claim the Oval Office, and should the Democrats gain a majority in the House of Representatives, the unthinkable is being given some thought. While it appears to be a long-shot prospect, Trump’s political opponents across the aisle are at least chewing over the idea of refusing to certify the Electoral College vote tally on January 6, 2025.

The Atlantic notes: “In interviews, senior House Democrats would not commit to certifying a Trump win, saying they would do so only if the Supreme Court affirms his eligibility.” They are waiting for the Court to issue an opinion on Colorado’s decision to remove Trump’s name from the primary ballot. If the country’s nine top justices do not, prior to January 6, 2025, definitively address the issue of the 14th Amendment and Trump’s eligibility, it does become much more likely that Democrats will do the very thing they accused Trump and his supporters of attempting in 2021.

A Horrifying Irony

Addressing this hypothetical, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said, “That would be a colossal disaster. We already had one horrendous January 6. We don’t need another.” Rep. Jamie Raskin had similar concerns. He told Russell Berman, the author of the Atlantic article, “There was blood all over the Capitol in the hypothetical you posit.” Chillingly, Raskin added, “We might just decide that’s something we need to prepare for” because he wasn’t ruling out the idea of rejecting the Electoral College vote count. At least one other Democrat, Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California, told Berman she “might be” one of those who try to disqualify Trump, should he win the election.

That any politicians are even contemplating such a move demolishes the much-touted narrative of stoically defending America against every threat to democracy. It also brings into question their claims that the events of January 6, 2021, also represented a threat to democracy. Quite literally, if this Atlantic scenario is to be believed – certain lawmakers are thinking about doing exactly what they accused Trump and the January 6 protesters of trying to do – nullifying an election result and preventing a transfer of power. The irony is jaw-dropping, and the potential consequences nothing short of horrifying.

Trump's First Order of Business? Deep State Corruption!

If Trump is elected he will have his hands full, although I don't think it will be as difficult as before. The last time he had to rely on faux "allies".   Actually, traitorous "allies".  This time, he knows who are the false conservatives, the RINO's, and the corrupt Deep State supporters.  There won't be so many bad appointments as there was before.  

I've said in the past in many ways Trump reminds me of me, without a sense of humor.  This time he'll be hiring and appointing people who are going to be mad dogs in a meat market with goal of crushing the Deep State.   After all, that's what I would do!  

No mercy, no compromise, no lack of focus or drive, sending as many of them to prison as possible, including Hillary, Obama, and the rest of that corrupt cabal.  And this won't be this corrupt lawfare scam being used by the Democrats.  They ..... broke..... laws...... A lot of them!

On February 18, 2024 Eric Utter published a very short, but really excellent summary of just how vile the Democrats and all the other leftist misfits in America really are with this article, Biden administration to put up 'roadblocks' in case of Trump win?, saying:

A new Associated Press report claims that the Biden administration, urged on by a group of leftist “experts” and “legal advisers,” is preparing for the possible return of Donald Trump to the White House … by installing “roadblocks" to inhibit Trump's ability to fire government workers and otherwise make changes he may deem necessary to make the country great again.

While the media thinks this is a good thing, another reason the this is an outright effort at tyranny and treason.  He goes on to say:

Negating citizens’ votes and denying the will of the people is as undemocratic as it gets -- not to mention disgusting, criminal, unconstitutional, and treasonous. Siccing federal intelligence agencies on Trump, covering up his political opponents “shenanigans” and crimes, lying under oath, arbitrarily changing states’ voting laws, ushering in massive mail-in voting, somehow receiving and/or counting hundreds of thousands of votes for Biden in the middle of the night with almost none for Trump, launching endless spurious lawsuits against Trump with the intention of preventing him from campaigning and putting him in prison, and threatening to pack the court and end the filibuster are just some of the things Democrats, Deep Staters, and assorted other never-Trumpers have done, almost all with the stated intention of “preserving our democracy.”...........

Joseph Stalin, Chairman Mao, and Pol Pot weren’t much more opposed to democracy … but were far less hypocritical. And yet Democrats, Deep Staters, and assorted other never-Trumpers always seem to get away with it. Always. 

I think this short piece so clearly summarizes the Democrat's total abandonment of the rule of law, and the very concept of the God given rights the founding fathers articulated in the Constitution, and shows they've absolutely embraced treason.  I also think this is such an important piece it needs as broad a distribution as possible.

Weaponizing impeachment is just one of many precedents that Leftists now would not wish to have applied to themselves

An impeachment inquiry looms and the shrieks of outrage are beginning.  The Left is now suddenly voicing warnings that those who recently undermined the system could be targeted by their own legacies.  So, for example, now we read why impeachment is suddenly a dangerous gambit.

True, the Founders did not envision impeaching a first-term president the moment he lost his House majority. Nor did they imagine impeaching a president twice. And they certainly did not anticipate trying an ex-president in the Senate as a private citizen.

In modern times, the nation has not rushed to impeach a president without a special counsel investigation to determine whether the chief executive was guilty of “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

But thanks to the Democrats, recent impeachments now have destroyed all those guardrails. After all, Trump was impeached the first time on the fumes of an exhaustive but fruitless 22-month, $40 million special counsel investigation—one designed to find him guilty of Russian “collusion” and thus to be removed from office but found no actionable offenses at all.

Instead, dejected Democrats moved immediately for a second try. In September 2019 a few weeks after Trump had announced his 2020 reelection bid, the Democratic House began to impeach the president on the new grounds that he had talked to the President Zelensky of Ukraine and said he might delay offensive arms shipments—unless the Ukrainians could demonstrate that they had ended corruption and, in particular, were no longer influenced by the Biden family quid pro quo shakedowns.

Trump was proven right: the Biden family is not just corrupt, but, in particular, Joe Biden as head of the family and Vice President had intervened in the internal politics of an aid recipient, by threatening not to delay but rather to cancel outright all U.S. aid to Ukraine—unless it fired Viktor Shokin, a Ukrainian prosecutor.

Shokin was then looking into the misadventures of Biden’s son Hunter, and why the Vice President’s imbecilic son was receiving lucrative compensation on the boards of a Ukrainian energy company Burisma, yet without any demonstrable expertise or education in matters of energy policy.

Since Trump was impeached, we now know that Joe Biden did lie that he had no connection with or even knowledge of his son’s business. And we know that the fired prosecutor believed the Bidens were recipients of bribes. We know that contrary to Biden’s assertions, he was not following State Department policy.

In contrast, the U.S. had, in fact, lauded Shokin’s efforts to repress corruption. In sum, Biden was undermining the stated policy of the U.S. government to protect his son’s—and his own—efforts to leverage money from Kyiv by monetizing the influence of his own Vice Presidency. In some sense, Biden was guilty of the very “treason” charge—altering U.S. foreign policy for personal benefit—by which Rep. Adam Schiff had earlier falsely accused Trump.

Given that reality, it is easy to argue that the House impeached Donald Trump in 2019 for crimes that he did not commit, but which the current president Joe Biden most certainly had during his Vice Presidency.

But weaponizing impeachment is just one baleful legacy of the Left. There are plenty more of their own precedents that Leftists now would not wish to have applied to themselves:

• Will the next president have the FBI pay social media censors to suppress the dissemination of any news it feels is unhelpful to the reelection of a Republican president?
• Is it OK now for the next Vice President to invite his son onto Air Force Two to cement multimillion dollars deals that benefit both, with Chinese, Russian, and Ukrainian oligarchs who enjoy government ties?
• Should a conservative billionaire stealthily insert $419 million late in the 2024 campaign to absorb the work of registrars in key voting precincts?
• If a Democratic president wins the 2024 election should conservative groups riot at the Capitol on Inauguration Day? Should a conservative celebrity yell out to the assembled crowd of protestors that she dreams of blowing up the White House? And if a Republican wins, should he prosecute any Democratic rioters who once again swarm Washington on Inauguration Day and charge them with “insurrection,” meting out long prisons sentences to the convicted?
• Is Joe Biden now vulnerable to being impeached for systematic family corruption, or using the Department of Justice to obstruct the prosecution of his son in his last days in office, and then being tried in the Senate as a private citizen?
• If the Republicans gain the Senate, will they move to end the filibuster in agreement with Democratic assertions that it is “racist” and a “Jim Crow relic”?
• If the midwestern Electoral College “Blue Wall” seems to reappear, or if Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada recreate new blue walls, will there be a conservative effort to end the constitutionally mandated Electoral College?
• If in 2024 there is a narrow Democratic win in the Electoral College, should conservative celebrities conspire to run ads urging the electors to reject their constitutional duties and not vote in accordance with their state’s popular vote that went Democratic? Should a Republican third-party candidate sue to stop a state’s selection of its electors on grounds the voting machines were rigged?
• If Supreme Court decisions begin to appear to favor the left, will Republicans talk of packing the court, or have the DOJ turn a blind eye when mobs began to swarm the homes of liberal justices? Should the conservative media go after liberal judges with serial accusations of corruption? Should the Republican Senate leader assemble a mob of pro-life protestors at the doors of the court and call out Justices Sotomayor or Jackson by name, with threats that they will soon reap the whirlwind they have sowed, given they have no idea of what is about to “hit” them? Should conservative legal scholars urge the country to ignore Supreme Court decisions deemed liberal?
• Will local prosecutors in red jurisdictions begin filing criminal charges against leading Democratic candidates on various charges, among them accusations of old inflated real estate assessments, campaign finance laws, questioning ballot results, or taking classified documents home? If Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton were to run in 2024, will their past illicit behavior gain the attention of a city or state attorney in Utah, West Virginia, or Wyoming?
• If Joe Biden continues to decline at his present rate, will Republicans demand he be given the Montreal Cognitive Assessment? Will they subpoena Ivy League psychiatrists to testify that an intervention is needed to remove him from office? And will an FBI director and a deputy Attorney General plan to wear wires, and record Biden in his private moments of senility, as a way of convincing the cabinet or Congress that he is demonstrably mentally unfit for office?
• In the 2024 election, should the Republican nominee hire a foreign ex-spy to compile falsehoods about the Democratic opponent and then seed them among the media, and Department of Justice? Should the FBI hire such a Republican contractor and likewise use him to gather dirt on the Democratic nominee?
• If there appears incriminating evidence concerning a Republican nominee, should the FBI retrieve such evidence, keep it under wraps, lie about its veracity, and instead go along with media and ex-intelligence officers assertions that it is a fraudulent production of Russian intelligence?
• Will conservative CIA and FBI directors, and the Director of National Intelligence be given exemptions from prosecutions for systematically lying while under oath in Congress or to federal investigators?
• Will conservative celebrities ritually on social media, without fear of censorship, brag about ways of decapitating, shooting, stabbing, burning, or blowing up the Democratic nominee?
• Since in many states the statues of limitations have not yet expired for arson, murder, assault, looting, and attacks on 1,500 police officers during the summer 2020 riots, will state prosecutors now begin identifying those 14,000 once arrested and mostly released, and begin refiling charges of conspiracy, racketeering—and “insurrection”?
• Will they also file insurrection charges against those who torched a federal courthouse, a police precinct, and a historic Washington DC church, or conspired to riot and swarm the White House grounds in an effort to attack the President of the United States?
• Will they file charges against Vice President Kamala Harris for “inciting” ongoing violent demonstrations with monotonous, emphatic, and repetitive threats in the weeks before her nomination? Contrary to liberal “fact checkers” at time of nationwide violence, Harris certainly did not distinguish violent from non-violent protests, but in fact implied that they were intimately tied to the upcoming election and beyond. So given the hundreds of police officers injured, the hundreds of millions in property damage, and the dozens killed, what exactly did Harris mean by tying that ongoing summer of often violent protests to Election Day?:

“But they’re not gonna stop. They’re not gonna stop, and this is a movement, I’m telling you. They’re not gonna stop, and everyone beware, because they’re not gonna stop. They’re not gonna stop before Election Day in November, and they’re not gonna stop after Election Day. Everyone should take note of that, on both levels, that they’re not going to let up — and they should not. And we should not.”

Was the above more or less inflammatory than Trump’s January 6 remarks for which in part he is under indictment: “We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore…I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”?

In sum, the Democratic leadership along with the media long ago deemed that Donald Trump posed such an existential threat to democracy that they were entitled to destroy democratic norms to destroy him.

Their actions were predicated on three assumptions: 

• one, they had that right because they were more sophisticated, morally superior, and smarter than the rest of America and thus deserved the exemption to blow up customs and norms to achieve the “correct” ends; 
• two, whatever damage they did to long-standing protocols of equal justice under the law paled in comparison to the damage that Trump supposedly would or did do; and 
• three, their conservative opposition either lacked the wherewithal, the brains, or the audacity to emulate such behavior and thus there was no worry anyone would dare do to them what they did to others.

And now? For the first time, given recent polls, the Left is scared that a Republican House and perhaps soon a Republican Senate and White House might follow its own precedents, and use new leftwing guidelines to enact conservative agendas.

 

Illegal Aliens as Police Officers? Blue State Dems Says Yes

The irony of giving law enforcement credentials to people who already broke the rules.

Trailblazing for progressives, Illinois House and Senate legislators have passed House Bill 3751 and sent it to Gov. JB Pritzker’s sturdy desk for final signature. The bill will allow Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals — DACA — “to apply for positions as police officers, deputy sheriffs, or special policeman.” But the governor seems paralyzed to make it official: It’s been in limbo since mid-June.

Supporters of DACA individuals see this as a way to engage immigrants in the process of American law, but opponents don’t want undocumented people running about with firearms and policing citizens.

Gun Grabbers Giving Aliens Guns?

“I just want a small door (open) for a certain group of people to be able to carry a gun. I’m not saying all undocumented people. I’m just saying if you apply and you are accepted, let’s give you a chance to own, to carry or possess a gun,” the measure’s Democratic sponsor Rep. Barbara Hernandez said. “And maybe what the federal government can say is once you retire, or once you’re out of the job for whatever reason, you don’t have that ability anymore.”

Of course, no one can agree on who should be able to carry a firearm in the United States. On the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) site is a plain-as-day warning: “The Gun Control Act (GCA), codified at 18 U.S.C. § 922(g), makes it unlawful for certain categories of persons to ship, transport, receive, or possess firearms or ammunition, to include any person: who is an illegal alien.”

“Unfortunately, it’s strictly symbolic,” state Rep. John Cabello, a Republican and detective with the Rockford Police Department, said of the bill. “It doesn’t do anything until the feds do something about the federal law.”

And there is the rub: What’s the point? Viewed from a different angle, why do so many progressive Democrats want to implement gun control restrictions on Americans while trying to arm undocumented people? Seems counterproductive at best.

In this weird start to the 2024 election showdown, is Illinois simply trolling for progressives’ votes and following lockstep with a West Coast sanctuary state and East Coast municipality: California and the District of Columbia?

They Did It for DACA

Hernandez admits she got the idea from California, one of several states that have passed similar legislation. Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a law that requires aliens and DACA folks to have only a work permit in the United States to join the force. The revised law reads as such:

“The bill would remove the provision that requires peace officers to either be a citizen of the United States or be a permanent resident who is eligible for and has applied for citizenship and would instead  require peace officers be legally authorized to work in the United States and make conforming changes.”

The District of Columbia also implemented similar changes to its Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Amendment Act of 2022. It needs police and hopes that DACA folks will want to swell the ranks, which could fast-track citizenship.

“As an agency, we truly believe that a workforce representing our community brings various ideas, experiences, and perspectives. Together, this blend drives innovation and growth,” said interim Chief of Police Ashan Benedict.

The city is down to only 3,400 metro police. The goal is 4,200 in 10 years: A nice carrot of $25,000 is offered as a signing bonus to get there.

Undoubtedly, all Democratic calls to de-fund the police have taken a toll. Now it’s time to fund DACA recipients to choose a career in law enforcement. And Illinois seems to be okay with this new program.  Blue Island Police Chief  spoke at the General Assembly in Springfield, revealing he had one DACA recruit and was hoping for more. “It, at times, is difficult to provide the services to the community without being able to communicate with them,” Farr said. “It’s important that the Police Department reflects the makeup of the community, and what better means do we have than to recruit Hispanic officers.”

The pleas from law enforcement had both sides of the political divide agreeing to push the legislation forward and encourage Pritzker to sign it into law.

What you may not know about the Illinois State Assembly is that even if Pritzker washes his hands and vetoes the bill, Democrats in both chambers can override the governor with supermajority power. And that will give 30,000 DACA recipients in Illinois a big checkmark in the American Dream column.

If You Work for the FBI, Quit Your Job

We’ve moved way past the “few bad apples,” excuse. The FBI is a tool of leftist power.

For those working for the FBI, particularly in the Hoover building or the Washington Field Office, allow me to offer a little career advice: Quit. 

Anyone who cares about law enforcement, the rule of law, and the Constitution, should not associate with the criminal gang that the bureau is quickly becoming. If you want to terrify innocent Americans, scoff at Congress, and lie to courts, then the FBI is the right place for you. Those who care about their reputations for integrity should flee the FBI as quickly as possible.

Legitimacy in a republic originates with the consent of the governed. A president wields legitimate constitutional authority because he stands for an election. The FBI has no independent authority under the Constitution. Yet instead of deferring to its constitutional masters, the FBI now brazenly interferes in these elections.

My Take - The Plan!  Forced transition to "alternative energy".  An absolute loser, and easily proven to be such yet they continue to force it down everyone's throat.   Fuel prices doubling, and soon some, like diesel fuel and heating fuel, will be restricted and possibly not available.  Pushing electric vehicles, that can't be charged easily, and in California can't be charged at all at times, don't travel far and batteries that cost $20,000 to replace.  They're destroying energy production knowing full well no advanced country can survive without ample, easily accessible and inexpensive energy.  And it's deliberate.

Biden has put absolute socialists in charge of his Council of Economic Advisers.  Leftists who have worked their entire lives to destroy America's economic structure.  Biden even nominated Saule Omarova, a Russian trained communist, as the Comptroller of the Currency, who wanted to have total control of the nation's currency by ending private bank accounts with all deposits go to the federal government, in something she called, FedAccounts, in order to "democratize finance".  She also wanted to bankrupt oil companies in the name of climate change.   That was stopped by the Senate.

We learned a couple of things this past week. We learned that General Mark Milley committed treason against the United States by telling his Chinese counterparts that he, and not the President, was in command of the United States Armed Forces. We learned that should there be any danger to China from our armed forces, he would warn them ahead of time.

In fairness to the General, I have some sympathy for his speaking with Chinese military leaders to reassure them, after the election, that we would have a peaceful transition of power. The whole purpose of the transitionary period between a President being elected and taking office is to ensure a smooth and peaceful transition, so I give Mark Milley some latitude there just as I gave Trump latitude when he contacted foreign officials before being sworn in, back in 2016 (CNN gave him no such latitude).

I do not give Mark Milley any latitude for his phone call on October 30, 2019 – before the election even took place. At that time, he was not a part of an outgoing President’s administration, and had no responsibility to help ensure a peaceful transition of power. He was, instead, claiming to have taken over as Commander in Chief himself, in a flagrant violation of his duties, of the Constitution, and his Chain of Command. I have learned through the years that Democrats announce their intentions by what they accuse the opposition of doing. Biden’s Benghazi

More American soldiers died in one week of Biden’s retreat than in the last two years of war.

9 American soldiers had died in combat in Afghanistan from August 2019 until now when over a dozen of our men were murdered in one single day during Biden’s shameful retreat.

Like so many of the American soldiers who were killed by the Taliban and their Al Qaeda allies during the Obama-Biden administration, and like the Americans murdered in Benghazi by Jihadists allied with Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood, they did not have to die.

American soldiers died because they were prevented from defending themselves.

Abandoning thousands of Americans behind enemy lines, the Biden administration turned the Kabul airport into Fort Apache surrounded by the Taliban, Al Qaeda, and other Jihadis.

Taliban Jihadists controlled checkpoints, checked papers, beat Americans, and entered the airport to “coordinate” security with American forces. Thousands of American citizens and soldiers were cut off from each other, able to meet only with the approval of the Taliban.

“We use the Taliban as a tool to protect us as much as possible," Marine Corps Gen. Frank McKenzie had bragged. McKenzie had repeatedly described the Taliban as "partners".

As warnings of an imminent ISIS-K attack grew, the Biden administration continued to rely on the Taliban to keep their fellow terrorists in check. This was the same treasonous mistake that led to the murder of Americans in Benghazi at the hands of an Islamic militia that was being paid to protect them from other Jihadis. It was also how the British lost thousands of soldiers during the disastrous retreat from Kabul in 1842. But Biden, Austin, and Milley remained blind to both recent and classical history about the perils of trusting the lives of your men to the enemy.

Even now with so many American soldiers dead, the Biden administration and its generals can only think of closer “security cooperation” with the Taliban showing that they learned nothing.

The Taliban and ISIS-K are feuding because ISIS-K consists of former members of the Taliban and the Haqqani Network. But that hasn’t stopped ISIS-K and the Taliban from cooperating by freeing each other's members from prison during previous attacks.

When Biden abandoned Bagram Air Base, he not only threw away the best and most secure means for evacuating Americans, he also handed over thousands of terrorists imprisoned at Pul-e-Charkhi who included Al Qaeda and ISIS-K terrorists. It would not be surprising if the perpetrators or organizers of the Kabul airport attack turned out to have been imprisoned there.

The Biden administration and its cronies keep promising that the Taliban will fight ISIS-K.

Taliban units have gone back and forth from ISIS-K in much the way that our “good” Jihadis in Syria went back and forth between the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda, and ISIS.

When the Biden administration coordinates with the Taliban, there’s no way to know if it’s coordinating with the factions of the Taliban potentially sympathetic to ISIS-K.

But there’s no question that it’s coordinating with Al Qaeda.

The Taliban put Khalil Haqqani in charge of security in Kabul. The Haqqani network has been closely allied with Al Qaeda. The Wall Street Journal noted that, "prominent Taliban units with ties to the Haqqani network now operate within feet of U.S. troops securing the area. "

Shahab al-Muhajir, ISIS-K’s new leader, was a former Haqqani network commander.

Afghan officials from the former government have claimed that ISIS-K is just another mask being worn by the Haqqani network.

"Shahab Almahajir, the newly appointed leader of the Islamic State of Khorasan Province-ISKP is a Haqqani member. Haqqani and the Taliban carry out their terrorism on a daily basis across Afghanistan and when their terrorist activities do not suit them politically they rebrand it under ISKP," former Afghan interior minister Masoud Andrabi had tweeted.

Just like in Libya and Syria, sorting through the complex web of alliances and enmities between Jihadist groups, is a long and difficult process with no ultimate truth at the end, only more lies.

The only sane thing to do is to trust none of them.

Turning over security around the airport to a group with ties to Al Qaeda was treason.

Biden entrusted the lives of American citizens and soldiers to a Jihadist organization, the Haqqani network, which was allied with Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.

Even now the Haqqani network is holding Mark Frerichs, a Navy vet, hostage.

The Biden administration not only failed to free Frerichs, but coordinated on security with his captors in the hope that they would protect American soldiers and civilians.

They even turned over lists of American citizens and Afghan allies to the Taliban to help them with their "security" arrangements in what has been described as a "kill list".

An official defended the move by arguing that "they had to do that because of the security situation the White House created by allowing the Taliban to control everything outside the airport."

That did not have to happen.

Biden made the decision to evacuate the military before the civilians. Then he rushed the military back, but refused to allow our soldiers to actually create a secure evacuation pathway.

The Taliban were put in charge of security to and around the airport. And even when the Taliban handed over security to a group allied with Al Qaeda and even possibly ISIS-K, the Biden administration and its incompetent appeasers in uniforms and suits went on trusting the Taliban.

The Biden administration was repeatedly warned that ISIS-K was planning an attack. Just as the Obama-Biden administration was warned that the Benghazi consulate was threatened.

Both in Benghazi and Kabul, the response was to lean harder on the goodwill of the Jihadis.

And in Kabul and Benghazi, Americans died because a treasonous administration put its trust in terrorists instead of letting American military personnel protect the lives of Americans.

Americans did not have to die at the hands of Islamic terrorists in Kabul.

Americans trying to reach the airport did not have to be beaten in the street by Taliban thugs.

The United States did not have to leave Afghanistan in an airport encircled by the enemy, while rushing to meet the Taliban’s August 31 deadline even if Americans had to be left behind.

These were decisions that Biden, his cabinet members, advisers and generals made.

They should be held accountable for them.

The failure to hold Obama accountable for Benghazi led directly to the tragedy in Kabul.

Appeasing Jihadists has become the cornerstone of the Obama-Biden foreign policy. Over a thousand American military personnel died during the Obama-Biden surge in Afghanistan because they were not allowed to defend themselves so as not to offend Muslims.

Why did Biden accede to the Taliban demand that we leave Afghanistan by August 31?

The same reason he turned over security around the Kabul airport to the Taliban.

So as not to offend the Taliban.

American soldiers didn’t die because they had to. They died because they weren’t allowed to protect themselves and their fellow Americans.

They died because Biden put the Taliban’s feelings ahead of the lives of American soldiers.

Since 2007, when Biden ran for president on a platform of surging soldiers and nation-building in Afghanistan to win the hearts and minds of the locals, he was selling out our soldiers.

This is his most shameful betrayal.

Democrat-Media Complex Highly Embarrassed by Anti-Socialist Uprising

“The liberal's arm cannot strike with consistent firmness against communism -- because the liberal dimly feels that in doing so he would be somehow wounding himself," said James Burnham in his classic "Suicide of the West" in 1964.

“We can get bogged down discussing all the changes by the Kennedy administration that doomed the Bay of Pigs freedom-fight, which was planned under the Eisenhower administration with President Nixon as its main booster. But the bottom line is that underlying all those changes was the American liberal’s guilt-complex.. In brief, Kennedy and his people didn’t have their hearts in a mission to forcibly overthrow the communist Castro regime," yours truly said during a Q&A session with the House Committee on Foreign Relations, Capitol Hill, Aug.1, 2007.

And nobody ever accused the Castro regime of being unperceptive about who their friends are To wit: 

"We'd better hope Kennedy wins this election," Fidel Castro confided to a subaltern in 1960. "If Nixon wins our revolution won't last." The Bay of Pigs boondoggle, where a Democratic president denied vital support to Cuban Freedom-fighters trying to topple Castro found Fidel nodding smugly. A year later the Missile Crisis “resolution” where JFK pledged the U.S. to protect Cuban Communism, had Castro slapping his knee and high-fiving his Soviet patrons in vindication and glee.

In 2011 former Democratic president Jimmy Carter visited Cuba. “We greeted each other as old friends,” gushed Carter regarding his meeting with Fidel Castro.

“In 2002, we received him warmly,” reciprocated Castro. “Now, I reiterated to him our respect and esteem."

“Jimmy Carter was the best of all U.S. presidents,” gushed Raul Castro while seeing his American guest off personally and jovially.

In fact for many prominent Democrats Castro’s Cuba resembles the very Land of Oz, with Cubans laughing the days away—“ha-ha-ha! ho-ho-ho! and a couple of tra-la-las!” If this sounds hyperbolic here’s Conscience of the Democratic Party George McGovern after a visit to Cuba in 1975: “Everywhere we were surrounded by laughing children who obviously loved Fidel.”

Here’s the late Frank Mankiewics, a lifelong Democratic factotum who served as campaign chairman for pxresidential candidate George McGovern, press secretary for Senator Robert Kennedy and as head of NPR from 1977-1983. Mankiewics was greatly impressed by “the enthusiasm and unity of the Cuban people...they are proud of their accomplishments and sing songs about themselves and their country that reflect this self-pride.”

Fidel ringingly endorsed Obama the first time around, while greatly fearing for the Democratic candidate’s life. "A profound racism exists in the U.S.," Fidel revealed in an essay dated October 2008. "It's a miracle that the Democratic candidate (Obama) has not suffered the fate of other Americans who dreamed of equality and justice like Malcolm X and Martin Luther King."

“If I were a U.S. citizen I'd vote for Obama for president," gushed Raul Castro’s daughter during an Obama administration-sanctioned visit to San Francisco in may 2012. "I think he is sincere, I think he speaks from the heart." To cheers and applause from the San Franciscan crowd, Raul Castro’s daughter also proclaimed, “what we want is the power of emancipation through socialism."

Fast forward to those fateful 2016 elections: “It’s Hillary’s hour!...The only hope of defeating Donald Trump is Hillary Clinton…the difference between the two candidates is vast. Barack Obama did not exaggerate when he claimed that she was better prepared to be a U.S. President than even he was—or was her husband Bill Clinton," wrote Stalinist Cuba’s KGB-founded and mentored media organ Cubadebate, Oct. 15, 2016.

Now, regarding recent coverage of the Cuba uprising by the Democrats' press auxiliary (the Mainstream Media), Townhall reported just last week that: “The Castro-regime accredited U.S. 'news' agencies (i.e. Mainstream Media) graciously bestowed Havana bureaus aren’t exactly 'reporting' everything that’s been going on in Cuba this week. In fact, this very 'accreditation' (thorough vetting by KGB-mentored specialists, and thinly-veiled threats regarding any 'reporting' from Cuba that contradicts the KGB-founded regime’s propaganda goals) is a guarantee that they can’t."

And wouldn’t you know it? Kalev Leetaru over at Real Clear Politics just published an invaluable study showing that, though CNN and MSNBC (both bestowed Havana bureaus by the Stalinist regime) mentioned Cuba the most in their coverage over the past decade—that coverage suddenly dried up during the past two weeks! Duh?

In fact, Fox News (without a Havana bureau) reported over three times as much on Cuba during the past 10 days as did the media with actual “intrepid reporters” and entire press bureaus “embedded” in Cuba. 

Fascinating, no? But why should any of us be surprised? After all...

“The Toast of Manhattan!” crowed Time magazine in January of 1996. “The Hottest Ticket in Manhattan!” also read a Newsweek story that week. Both articles referred to the social swirl and acclaim that engulfed Fidel Castro upon his visit to New York by the very Manhattan media and business luminaries who barely escaped incineration at his hand. The occasion was the UN’s 50th anniversary celebration, but the Castromania almost recaptured the hysteria for Simon and Garfunkel’s 1981 reunion in Central Park. 

First on the Stalinist dictator’s itinerary was a luncheon at the Council on Foreign Relations. After holding court there for a rapt David Rockefeller, along with Robert McNamara, Dwayne Andreas, and Random House’s Harold Evans, Castro flashed over to Mort Zuckerman’s Fifth Avenue pad, where a throng of Beltway glitterati, including Mike Wallace, Peter Jennings, Tina Brown, Bernard Shaw, and Barbara Walters, who all jostled for photo-ops and stood in line for the warmongering mass-murderer's autograph. 

Diane Sawyer was so overcome in the mass-murderer’s presence that she rushed up, broke into a toothy smile, wrapped her arms around Fidel Castro, and smooched him warmly on the cheek. 

"You people are the cream of the crop!" beamed the mass-murderer to the rapt and smiling throng he’d coming within a hair of incinerating and now surrounded him. 

"Hear, hear!" chirped the delighted guests while tinkling their wine glasses in appreciation and glee. But many more were left panting, because according to the U.S.-Cuba Trade and Economic Council, Fidel Castro had gotten over 250 dinner invitations from Manhattan celebrities and power-brokers. 

The jailer and torturer of the longest suffering black political prisoners in modern history was bear-hugged by Charles Rangel. The jailer and torturer of the most female political prisoners in the modern history of the western hemisphere was hugged and smooched by feminist Diane Sawyer. The jailer and torturer of the most journalists in the modern history of the Western hemisphere found everyone from Dan Rather to Mike Wallace to Tina Brown lining up for his autograph. The jailer and torturer who abolished private property within his Stalinist fiefdom found David Rockefeller and Mort Zuckerman crowding around him for a handshake. The Communist dictator who abolished capitalism under penalty of firing squad and torture chamber was honored in the board room of the Wall Street Journal with a VIP luncheon.
