Despite almost universal agreement that it is a disaster (and
thousands of well-intentioned people trying to fix things), our K-12
education system seems immune to meaningful reform. Why is that?
The likely answer is that almost everyone is overwhelmed by the quantity
of K-12 issues, so their good efforts there are severely diluted. The
businesslike solution is to identify the most important fundamental
problems and then apply critical thinking to come up with solutions.
Here is my perspective…
The Main K-12 Problems:
1 - There is no national agreement on what the main objectives of the US K-12 program are. Instead, we have 50(!) different sets of objectives. That is an absurd situation and a recipe for failure — which is exactly what we have!
2 - We
continue a 100+ year old tradition of focusing on teaching children
WHAT to think. In other words, the K-12 education emphasis is almost
exclusively on Content, not Skills.
3 - The
Left has taken full advantage of this focus, and (over the last 20+
years) has almost entirely taken over the Content. The results are that
the Science curriculum is anti-science, the History curriculum is
anti-American, the 3Rs are pedantic mush, etc.
4 - We
continue a 100+ year old tradition of pedagogy, i.e., methodology for
teaching (teachers lecturing to a relatively large class on various
subject areas, with periodic tests, over a 6± hours day).
5 - There is zero national leadership
on the multiple other K-12 issues (e.g., student/teacher safety, AI,
parental involvement, age-appropriate books in libraries, etc.). To
date, the Department of Education has failed to provide such leadership.
The closest national leadership we have is the teachers' union — which
is focused on its own power, not student success.
The K-12 Solutions:
1 - We simply MUST come to a national
agreement on what the main objectives of the US K-12 program are.
Although every State should then adopt those goals, it will be left up
to each State as to how it meets them.
2 - We MUST change from teaching children WHAT to think, to teaching them HOW to think. That is an essential Skill that our K-12 education system should prioritize. Regretfully, the evidence (e.g., here) indicates that so far we are doing the exact opposite!
3 - We MUST get rid of the politicalization that we have allowed to infect essentially all of the K-12 subject areas. Yesterday.
4 - We MUST thoroughly and objectively assess the value of different pedagogies — e.g., what is being successfully done in Alpha schools and at Thales Academy schools.
5 - We MUST radically reform the DOEd so that it properly provides the leadership desperately needed by all fifty States, regarding all K-12 issues.
Takeaway —
Hopefully,
when written in this straightforward fashion, it will become clear that
meaningful fixes to our K-12 education system are absolutely doable,
and in a relatively short time. So what are we waiting for?

The vast majority of parents of US K-12 age kids do not have a real choice as to how to educate their children. They do not have the money for a private school, and/or they do not have the time to homeschool, and/or they do not have the competence to homeschool, etc.
Many
people are of the mistaken idea that most of the K-12 education issues
are the fault of the Department of Education (DOEd). That is a MAJOR
misunderstanding, as at least 95% of the issues are due to States or local school boards. Case in point, here are a few very recent school board developments at Fairfax County, Virginia, in chronological order:
That
said, arguing against gender indoctrination is only the tip of the
iceberg — i.e., it is literally only about 1% of the current K-12
curriculum problems.
Where are the parents who are publicly objecting to the fact that our children are being taught that there is no God (atheism)?
Where
are the parents who are strenuously objecting that our children are
being taught to reject Judeo-Christian moral standards (relativism)?
Where are the parents who are aware of and resist that our children are being taught to be entitled (in multiple ways, like grade-inflation)?
Where are the parents who are aggressively opposing the fact that our children are being taught to be anti-American (e.g., in history)?
[As fate would have it, this good article
just appeared today. This is a tiny part of the misinformation that
appears in State-approved textbooks, across the country. Carefully
reading through your kids' textbooks is a good way to get an idea of
what misinformation they are being taught.]
And arguably most importantly, where are the parents who are intensely objecting to the reality that our children are specifically being taught not to be Critical Thinkers (especially in science)?
The Bottom Line -
All these — and more — are empirical evidence of: 1) how poorly States are doing in operating our K-12 education system, and2) why keeping and reforming the DOEd is in our best interest. For fifteen (15) reasons, see here.
Scrubbing
DOEd and giving more K-12 education money and power to States like
Virginia and school boards like Fairfax County’s is beyond absurd.

How dare public school
teachers introduce hard, indisputable facts, and ask students to draw
their own conclusions? Don’t they know that public schools are
institutions meant to be used for the proliferation of progressivism?
The teachers’ unions and leftist activists have worked so hard to
eliminate silly and outdated things like arithmetic, civics, and
rhetoric, replacing them with curricula like critical race theory,
gender studies, and socialism—and now, Oklahoma is undoing the entire
structure they’ve spent decades assembling.
Under state superintendent Ryan Walters, Oklahoma is set to implement
curricula that will encourage critical thinking. Not only is that a
problem in and of itself for leftist ideologues, but it’s what he and the other administrators are using to do so: the “discrepancies” of the 2020 election. Translation: the school systems will be pumping out thinkers, which
means they’ll be pumping out conservative voters. (I remain convinced
that you can’t be a thinker and believe in leftism; you can be
intelligent, or smart and be a leftist, but you cannot actually be
critically analyzing reality.) Here’s the story, from a new article at The Hill:..............More
In
2024, Aleysha Ortiz graduated with honors from Hartford Public High
School in Connecticut and was accepted into UConn as a freshman. She
grew up as a first-generation English speaker after immigrating as a
child with her parents from Puerto Rico – a shining example of the
American Dream. But there is a major problem: Aleysha is illiterate. Her
college life is on hold, and she is suing the Hartford Board of
Education, the City of Hartford, and her special education case manager,
Tilda Santiago, for negligence.
Aleysha Ortiz’s attorney, Anthony Spinella, told the CTMirror: “We’re
not suing for any services. We’re not suing for their inability to
teach her basic skills. We’re suing for the emotional damage that was
caused when [Ortiz] went through the processes of trying to get [the
district] to help her and how she was treated by some of the
administrators and the teachers.”
The school system
responded to queries by releasing a statement to CNN: “While Hartford
Public Schools cannot comment on pending litigation, we remain deeply
committed to meeting the full range of needs our students bring with
them when they enter our schools – and helping them reach their full
potential.”
Kicking the Kid Down the Lane
Of course, state legislators saw an opening to join the national
debate on education. State Senate Minority Leader Stephen Harding and
Sen. Eric Berthel, a ranking member on the Legislature’s Education
Committee, wrote a letter to Education Commissioner Charlene
Russell-Tucker seeking answers on this particular case of education
neglect: “The student was allegedly denied services — over 12 years —
due to lack of funding and roadblocks to learning at many levels,” the
letter read.
The Republican senators politely asked for “a summary of state education funding for Hartford for the past 12 years.”
To describe what occurred concisely over 12 years of education in
Hartford, one must go back to the 5-year-old child who immigrated in
2011 to Connecticut. Ortiz’s mother brough the district a document from
the Puerto Rico Department of Education outlining the need for
occupational therapy before Aleysha’s enrollment. “The first day of
school, I was holding my mom’s hand and didn’t want to let go,” Aleysha
said in the testimony. “I finally did, and I believe it was the biggest
mistake of my life. From the first day, I struggled so much.”
Aleysha recalls being labeled as the “problem child” because she
couldn’t participate in reading aloud. She stopped interacting and
withdrew, could barely read one-syllable words, and yet no one tested
her for dyslexia. “Instead of teaching me, they would tell me, ‘Here,
you go play games over there.’ And I’d see the other kids and would get
angry,” Ortiz told the CTMirror.

By the time high school rolled around, Ortiz says she was too
stubborn to quit and mulishly refused to flunk out. So, she invented her
own way of coping with her special needs – talk-to-text apps came in
handy. But what kind of life did she have? She explains: “Basically [in
high school], I would go to class. I would record and try to memorize
everything the teacher said and what I wanted to write. Then, when I
went home, I would stay and hear the recordings. I basically went to
school two times in one day,” Ortiz said. There was no time for building
up the extracurricular activities, which is a large part of the middle
and high school experience.
Tilda Santiago was assigned as Ortiz’s case worker. Santiago is also
being sued for her alleged harassment, stalking, bullying, name-calling,
and public ridicule – most egregious actions no caseworker should
exhibit.
Lo and behold, at the 11th hour, the school decided to test the child
as the Puerto Rico Dept of Ed had requested. But it’s too little too
late for this girl.
Higher Education Near Impossible
How did this illiterate – albeit hard-working – child get accepted into college? UConn was possible because it has a holistic application
process. These days in higher education, no one cares about SAT scores.
According to the UConn admissions department at the University, they
care more about GPA and extracurricular activities.
Your News – How You Like It!
Again, the question must be asked: How did she get in? CNN queried
Ortiz on the matter and told them she used voice-activated applications.
The young lady is in counseling, and as the lawsuit claims, she will
“likely incur additional expenses for such treatment/counseling in the
future, has been prevented from and deprived of the opportunity to fully
enjoy her childhood … and will continue to suffer in the future.”
Ortiz is seeking $3 million in damages – or $250,000 per year
enrolled in the school. “One of the reasons I didn’t drop out was from
anger – and knowing that I might not be the only one, but you don’t hear
it around,” Ortiz confided to the CT Mirror, “With me, people knew about it and didn’t want to do their job, and knowing this – it must be happening in other places.”

Going After "Unwoke Parents"
They do not have to threaten all of us with physical and verbal violence. They do not have to take all of us to court. All tyrannical governments must make an example of one person so that others will be afraid to fight for what is right. That is what California Governor Gavin “Hair Gel” Newson and his minions are trying to do to Chino Valley Unified School District Board Member Sonja Shaw:
Elite media voices would have us believe that transgender
individuals are beleaguered and oppressed. But it often seems that
anybody who takes issue with radical transgender orthodoxy ends up getting bludgeoned and smeared by powerful people and institutions. The latest example is Big Tech targeting Sonja Shaw, Chino Valley School District Board president.
Shaw is fighting a pitched legal battle with California Attorney Rob
Bonta over the District’s policy that parents be notified if their kids
at school start transitioning to a different gender. .............
Last Monday March 18 Shaw discovered that when her name is
put into search engines for the Meta-owned Facebook and Instagram a
warning message linking her to child sex abuse popped up. The message
said, “We think that your search might be associated with child sexual
abuse” and said searching for such material could lead to imprisonment
and other punishments........She is weighing her options and preparing for another fight.”I don’t want it to end here. Someone should be held responsible.”......He is also interested in suing Meta for libel. The Meta press office did not respond to an emailed inquiry......

Is the Tide Turning to Freedom?
With our prayers and involvement, we must have hope of saving our republic. Let’s look at some recent wins that show the tide might be turning in the direction of Conservative Judeo-Christian values. However, we need Republican LEADERSHIP, which seems to be in short supply.
MIT UNIVERSITY—The Massachusetts Institute of Technology will no longer use diversity statements for hiring. MIT is the first “elite” university to make this announcement. What makes this important is that MIT is the first university to make the change. In states like Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and Utah, the change was mandated by the state government or a government agency.
GREAT BRITAIN—British darts champion Deta Hedman forfeited her May 4 championship match in Denmark since she refused to play against a MAN in the WOMAN’S division. “I’m not playing against a man in a women’s event,” Hedman said. So now in our upside world, the WOMEN’S dart championship match was won by Noa-Lynn van Leuven—a MAN!
J-6ers: Families suffer financial hardship
In many instances, the Deep State’s lawfare isn’t so much to find someone guilty of a crime, but to bankrupt the J-6er and their family while frightening others against peacefully using their Constitutionally protected right to free speech.
Did you know that J-6ers (like all prisoners) must use their own money to pay for prison phone calls and email costs?
They must pay to buy commissary food, clothing, and hygiene products. Bet you thought the Bureau of Prisons provides these items. Nope! Freebies are just for ILLEGAL ALIEN INVADERS, not J-6ers—many of whom are veterans!

Ah, the well-orchestrated ditch days by students in the US public
school system were often legendary. Tales to not tell your children but
recall the glory days with pals at the reunion. Contrary to a high
school student’s deep-felt belief, parents always knew. But now moms and
dads are complicit in allowing children to stay home on a whim, and
absenteeism has become a post-pandemic epidemic.
Between the 2018-19 and 2021-22 school years, there was an alarming
91% spike in skipping school, and an estimated 6.5 million students are
chronically absent compared to before the pandemic. Yes, this
generation is becoming an unwelcome statistic.
Nat Malkus, senior fellow and deputy director of AEI’s Education
Policy Studies, created a “tracker” and is one of the many public school
researchers beginning to panic. Chronic absenteeism, which refers to
the number of students who missed at least 10% of a school year, has
grown considerably – (15%) from 2018 to 28% in 2022 – according to the
American Enterprise Institute (AEI).
Most experts are pointing to COVID as the culprit, but other factors also play into the continual failure of the education system.
Um, the Pandemic Is Over
Forensic psychiatrist Carole Lieberman explained to Fox News Digital the ripple effect of absenteeism:
“The economic impact of school absenteeism is tremendous —
both in terms of the ultimate earning power of the absentee students
and on the overall economy. Absenteeism leads to kids not doing well in
school, which discourages them and causes many to drop out before being
graduated from high school. Most of these end up in dead-end, low-income
jobs.”
Well, that does not bode well for future solid American
citizens. So, one must ask, why now? There are no mandatory closures.
Today’s public schools are mostly woke, hand out hugs and participation
trophies, and coddle their charges. But instead of heading to school to
be glorified during education, students are allowed to stay home for
mental health days, and no one blinks an eye.
Is basement dwelling a goal?
“We simply cannot accept chronic absenteeism as the new normal,”
White House Domestic Policy Council Director Neera Tande said at a
recent event. “Students have to be present if they are to learn.”
Absenteeism Is a Layered Problem
This new rise in skipping school doesn’t have just one cause, though. That’s what another detailed study from the Times Union
came up with as well after a deep dive into 17 school districts in the
Empire State. After interviewing school administrators and teachers, the
publication relayed the following:
“The confluence of being allowed in the past to attend
classes from home, the ability to play online games together from
separate homes, and the addictive nature of social media and its impact
on student sleep appear to be playing a role in the increase, according
to various school officials. Parental struggles with getting middle and
high schoolers to attend can bleed into the rest of the household,
causing younger siblings to also remain home.”
Unfortunately, bad habits allowed during the pandemic – staying home
and not being accountable – have become the norm. The study also showed
that a small percentage of children don’t show up at all: A growing
group of (303 students) out of the 17 districts missed 100 days or more
in one school year.
Antonette Bowman, a former teacher who writes the “Raising Americans”
Substack, believes that fear is also a driving factor for parents who
keep kids at home:
“While students skipping school is nothing new, COVID-19
and problems arising from pandemic learning, cultural polarization, and
school shootings have likely exacerbated the truancy crisis. Those
dynamics have stoked fears and distrust, weakening the cornerstone ties
between homes and schools, and undermining the willingness of students
to attend school and the motivation of parents to send them there.”
Another factor, albeit a small one, is teacher absenteeism.
Interruption in daily classroom learning not only sets students back but
also has another domino effect as well: Other instructors in the same
school are calling off. Maybe teachers embracing ditch day has to do
with their mental health days after trying to instruct through COVID.
Or they see the once-invisible writing on the wall. School districts
nationwide are running out of those federal COVID handouts. That coupled
with ridiculously high inflationary costs, and perhaps more than a few
poor spending decisions, have administrators laying off teachers. And
some parents reveled in homeschooling and praising the fortunes of COVID
in allowing them to get far away from the crazy PTA and school board
meetings and being labeled a domestic terrorist by Joe Biden’s FBI.
All of these factors have affected the decline in student attendance
in school. Now it’s time to do the heavy lifting and get America’s kids
back on track.
I’m tempted to say the third group is the worst. And Gov. Roy Cooper
of North Carolina and Gov. Andy Beshear of Kentucky deserve to be on the
list because of what they recently wrote.
Here are some excerpts from their column in USA Today.
We’re proud public school graduates… That’s why we’re so
alarmed that legislators want to loot our public schools to fund their
private school voucher scheme. …In North Carolina, the Republican
legislature passed a voucher program with no income limit, no
accountability and no requirement that children can’t already go to a
private school. This
radical plan will cost the state $4 billion over the next 10 years,
money that could be going to fully fund our public schools. In Kentucky,
legislators are trying to amend our constitution to enshrine their
efforts to take taxpayer money from public schools and use it for
private schools. …The future of our nation goes to class in public
schools, and all Americans must be on guard for lobbyists and extremist
politicians bringing similar plans to their states. …We are going to
keep standing up for our public school students to ensure that they have
the funding they need, and that teachers are paid like the
professionals they are. It’s what’s best for our children, our economy
and our future.
There are many things to criticize about their editorial, such as the fact that they are kowtowing to teacher unions. Or the fact that they ignore all the evidence about school choice producing better results for students. They even imply that school choice is part of a segregationist agenda even though minority students would be the biggest beneficiaries. So there are lots of reasons to condemn the editorial.
But the best critique is from Phil Kerpen. Here’s his response on Twitter (now X). Brief, but to the point.
It’s worse than disgusting.
P.S. In my list of hypocrites above, I should have included
politicians in other countries who praise government-run healthcare but
then run to the United States for their own treatment. And also bureaucrats at places like the IMF and OECD who get tax-free salaries yet promote higher taxes for everyone else.
A Seattle, Washington, high school teacher who
calls himself a communist is accused of telling his students that
identifying as a “straight” person is offensive. The news came after a parent filed a complaint with
Chief Sealth High School, but Seattle Public Schools (SPS) reportedly
stood by the teacher, KTTH’s Jason Rantz reported Wednesday. The news came after a parent filed a complaint with
Chief Sealth High School, but Seattle Public Schools (SPS) reportedly
stood by the teacher, KTTH’s Jason Rantz reported Wednesday........A 15-year-old student reportedly wrote down that he was “straight,” and Golash apparently did not like it.......................To Read More....
My Take- So, here's who this "teacher" is:
He's a confessed communist.
Promotes privileged oppression ideas to his students.
He is openly antisemitic.
He failed a student for stating men cannot get pregnant, a biological fact.
He's been "arrested several times in Portland, Oregon, for assault, violating parole, and criminal harassment".
He faces a "charge for trespassing and harassment in Washington State".
He supports abolish the police efforts.
He endorses Antifa.
So, why hasn't this nutroll been fired? I would think given his history someone would be concerned about the safety of children under his control? But that someone isn't the Seattle school board. They're standing behind him. Clearly Seattle has a lot bigger problems with their public schools than this one "teacher".
Diversity,
Equity and Inclusion (DEI) — it’s the mantra repeated endlessly by
virtually every significant institution in our country except, very
recently, for the governments of a few red states. But with that sole
exception, every institution you can think of, from universities, to
major corporations, law firms, art museums, symphony orchestras,
Hollywood, charitable NGOs, etc., etc., not to mention the federal
government and all of the blue state governments — all of them are on
fully on board. While the DEI concept might have a few nuances here and
there, stripped to its basics it means one simple thing: we commit to
having 13% or more of our high status positions (high paying jobs,
executives, board of directors) be African Americans.
Let’s put aside for the moment whether such a commitment can be accomplished consistent with the law prohibiting discrimination in employment, and consider an even more basic question: Is it even physically possible for every significant institution in the country to accomplish this result at the same time? Where are the people going to come from to fill all the positions?
The problem is that there is a fundamental disconnect between two main planks in the progressive platform for our utopian future. In that platform, DEI is plank A. But plank B is that the black children must be forced to attend failing Democrat-run unionized public schools in big cities.
This disconnect sprang onto the front pages in the past few days when something called Project Baltimore analyzed some data from the Maryland Department of Education, and reported that there were 23 schools in the Baltimore City district where not a single student tested at the “proficient” level on the state math exam. From the Daily Caller, February 10:
In 23 Baltimore City Schools, zero students tested proficient in math in 2022, according to a report by Project Baltimore. Through an analysis of 150 Baltimore City Schools, 23 of them, including 10 high schools, eight elementary schools, three high schools and two middle schools, no students met math grade-level expectations, according to a report by Project Baltimore.
And it wasn’t just that 23 schools had not a single student testing proficient in math. More generally, only about 7% of the students from all of the schools met state math proficiency standards:
Approximately 7% of third through eighth graders at Baltimore City School met grade level expectations in Math in 2022, according to the Maryland State Department of Education.
And the results in reading were not much better. In many articles that I have found discussing this subject, absolutely nobody dares mention the race of the students. But here is a racial breakdown on the Baltimore City public schools from U.S. News: 75.7% black, 14.2% Hispanic, 7.5% white, and a tiny smattering of others. It’s completely obvious from the data that the Baltimore City schools are completely failing to get the black kids to learn basic reading and arithmetic.
Is it just Baltimore? Absolutely not. Throughout the country, the African American kids are heavily concentrated in Democrat-run cities with unionized public schools, and in every single case the schools are failing to teach the kids. Consider just a few examples:
Detroit. From Public School Review, September 15, 2022: “Detroit Schools: District Is Failing Its Students According To Test Scores. Dismal test scores have been released for Detroit public schools. The numbers show that not only are few Detroit students considered proficient in math and reading, but the improvement has also been nearly non-existent over the past decade in the city. . . . CNS News reports that according to the U.S. Department of Education, only seven percent of the eighth-graders in Detroit are considered proficient in reading. This figure comes from recent scores on the National Assessment of Educational Progress test from 2011. To make matters worse, math scores for Detroit were even lower, with just four percent of Detroit eighth-graders scoring proficient on the national math examinations.”Detroit public school enrolment is 82% black, 13.6% Hispanic, and 2.4% white, with a handful of others.
Chicago. From the Daily Caller, February 14, 2023: “In 55 Chicago Public Schools, not one student met grade level expectations in either math or reading during the 2021-2022 school year, according to a Wirepoints report. Out of 649 Chicago Public Schools, 22 schools have zero students who met grade level expectations for reading while no students were proficient in math in 33 schools during the 2021-2022 school year, according to a Wirepoints report.”Chicago schools are 35.8% black, 46.5% Hispanic, and 11% white.
You can check out the data for essentially any big city school system, and the results will be the same.
In its article on Chicago, the Daily Caller found a comment from American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten. She came up with the preposterous explanation of “Covid”:
“The bottom line is everyone suffered in the pandemic.. because of the pandemic,” Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, said in October. “The disruption was everywhere, and it was bad regardless of whether schools were remote or in person. We are focused now on the urgent need to help kids recover and thrive.”
As long as these schools are the only option for most black kids, the odds that thousands of institutions professing their deep commitments to DEI can all meet their goals at the same time are about zero.
Whoever swerves from the path of reality is irrevocably lost in the emptiness of illusions.– Zoltan Kodaly
By Rich Kozlovich
In 2013 it was reported that about80 percent of NYC high school grands can't read well enough for community college,
to the point they had to take remedial reading, writing, and math.
That's after 12 years of being in the grip of
teacher's unions in public education, which in 2013 cost $20,331 per student per year. It now
costs $38,000 per student per year. In ten years that cost almost
doubled.
In that year, out of all of NYC graduates, eleven thousand students applied for community college, and had to take the remedial
courses, and "we assume" they can now read, write, and do basic math. But what about those who didn't apply? They still can't read,
write, or do basic arithmetic. And how many was that?
Try
and find out the number of students who graduate from NYC high
schools. I can't, no matter how I worded the question. I got a lot of
percentages, but no total number of graduates. I did find one site
that claims in all of the state of New York there were 175,866 graduates
in 2021, which seems small, so whether that's accurate or not I can't say, but we can use that number as a basis for calculation and draw some valid conclusions, since we at least have the percentages.
I did a little back door analysis. The State of New York has 19,184,000 residents and NYC
has 8,468,000. That's about 44% of the state of New York's population. So I
calculated 175,866 times 44% and got 77,381. That was for 2021, and
since so many have fled NYC that number may be smaller than in 2013, but
either way, I think we can use that as a basis for my speculatory analysis.
That means 80% of those 77,381 graduates, there were 61,905 kids who
graduated who couldn't read, write, or do basic math. If 11,000 applied for
community college, and took the remedial courses, that means over 66,000 students graduated devoid of
the basic skills necessary to succeed in life, and most likely never acquired those skills.
Currently it costs "New York's average private school tuition is $19,543 per year
(2022). The average tuition cost for a private elementary school is
$19,728 per year, while the average tuition cost for a private high
school is $25,153 per year."
So, students
managed to graduate high
school without mastering basic skills? Really? How did they "manage"
to graduate without those skills? Oh.....wait..... I know, I know.
They graded themselves. Right? Isn't that the way it must have been?
After all, no competent teacher would give a passing grade to a
student that didn't earn it, would they? Public education is a
disgrace, teachers over all are a disgrace, teacher's unions are a
corrupt disgrace, government bureaucrats overseeing all of this are a
disgrace, and quite frankly, criminal in their willingness to tolerate this.
There is one consoling note though. The unions have practically
bankrupted the school systems, they've protected lazy, incompetent, and
intellectually inferior teachers to the point it's obvious to the most
casual observer, and as a result the time for retribution is nigh!
Let's try to get this right. If these people were turning out nuts
and bolts instead of students, manufacturers would reject them at the
loading dock.
The parents of Maryland's Montgomery County Public Schools, filed a law suit demanding to be allowed to decide if their children would have to....have to.....be exposed to books promoting
"LGBTQ+ ideas and behavior to children in Kindergarten through 5th grade." The court ruled against them. After 150 years of insidious corruption the left's ultimate goal of being the absolute moral arbiter for America's children is now here.
We've completely lost our minds, and it isn't just in America. The mental instability of leftist thinking has infected all of western civilization. Here's some of what I've been reading over the weekend, and I think this compilation will confirm a diagnosis of terminal institutional insanity of western civilization.
Transgenderism
On Sunday Eric Utter published this piece, Dare to acknowledge reality at your own risk, where a coach had the audacity to claim men who claim they're women will "typically outperform women in sports." Well, that's a Duh statement of biological fact! Right? Not if those in power are insane leftists as those at the Woodstock Union High School. It turns out they claim it's a violation of their "harassment and bullying policy—for
referencing a student “in a manner that questioned the legitimacy and
appropriateness of [a] student competing on the girls’ team.” Yes,
because that student is a boy. "
Imagine that, claiming a boy really is a boy. Shocking! Eric went on to say:
People
in power are now routinely punishing those who are not for stating
obvious truths. There is no clearer indication of institutional
corruption than that. And there is no clearer sign of impending societal
collapse.
Reject modernity, embrace tradition. For all of human history,
if a family man who faced a crisis of identity were to indulge himself
and desert his wife and children to live out a fantasy, he would be
branded a disgrace … and rightfully so. Selfishness is not, and has
never been, a virtue — until today’s contemporary leftists came along!............The
interview laid bare the story often swept under the rug by “trans”
advocates, with Tracy exposing the reality of what it’s like to be a
wife left picking up the pieces after a husband and father comes out as
“transgender.” America First Report compiled a list of the interview’s “lowlights” some of which are below:
What
we see here is a total embrace by professionals and officials of a
fantasy, and one that has long term negative consequences which will be devastating to society, and to so many of these individuals.
Pandemic
As I said, this 1984 insanity isn't just an American mental disorder. In Germany a judge ruled against the German government’s mask mandates, saying:
Judge Dettmar
is now set to lose his legal career and pension, along with being handed
a two-year suspended prison sentence for allegedly “perverting the
law.”.........police raid on his home and his office, conducted only weeks after
his ruling was overturned, seized his electronic devices, including his
mobile phone, which contained private correspondence that allegedly
revealed his bias against lockdown measures.
It turns out he had the audacity to seek out the advice of scientists and experts on the subject. How outrageous is that? And it gets worse. Prosecutors aren't satisfied. They want stronger penalties. Sieg Heil! Obedience to the state is the overriding theme of leftism, irrespective of facts, reality, or morality, and I do wish more people saw one of the finest movies ever produced, Judgment at Nuremberg.
Judge Dan Haywood:
Janning, to be sure, is a tragic figure. We believe he loathed the
evil he did. But compassion for the present torture of his soul must not
beget forgetfulness of the torture and death of millions by the
government of which he was a part..... But this trial has shown that under the stress of
a national crisis, men - even able and extraordinary men - can delude
themselves into the commission of crimes and atrocities so vast and
heinous as to stagger the imagination.......
Ernst Janning:
Judge Haywood... the reason I asked you to come: Those people, those
millions of people... I never knew it would come to that. You must believe it, You must believe it!
Judge Dan Haywood: Herr Janning, it "came to that" the first time you sentenced a man to death you knew to be innocent.
The left is now and has always been evil. That's history and that history is incontestable.
Illegal Immigration
If there ever was an issue that highlights the flawed foundational values of the Biden administration, leftists and the Democrat party, this certainly ranks high up on that list. While sending billions to Ukraine, spending untold amounts of money on illegal aliens, providing for all their needs; housing, food, medical care, even efforts to fund higher education benefits for them, we find the disability claims of 32,000 veterans have been delayed claiming it's all a processing problem. Some have died waiting for them to fix this "processing" problem. Well, maybe the nation's heroes should be put on the same list as illegal aliens. Maybe that would speed up that process.
I keep thinking at some point America will reach the The Inevitability Factor: When Reality Reaches It's Apex. Then I find a poll claims 42% of Americans think Joe Biden is doing just fine. Is it a corruption of the polls, or is it possible 42% of the nation can be that stupid? Answer? Both!
In New York they're finding all this "virtue signaling feel good sanctuary" stuff for illegal aliens has consequences, and guess what? They're in a crisis. Imagine that! Of course when all the illegal aliens were in border states that was just fine and dandy, and anyone who spoke up was a xenophobic racist. But now they're being shipped to New York daily. Now reality is reaching it's apex, and what are they claiming? This situation is unsustainable! Imagine that! Schadenfreude!
Unsustainable, and yet their illegal alien population is a fraction of that in Southern states. Reality really bites doesn't it? So, one has to wonder when they're going to have to state publicly, and loudly, the real problem is Joe Biden, his incompetent, corrupt, and treasonous administration, and Democrat leadership in total, and their policies?
Now the Congress is refusing to bail New York out of the mess their
Democrat leaders have created. In short, they voted for this mess, they
created this mess, let them live with this and fix this mess with their money. Then again, they could start demanding Biden enforce America's immigration laws. Or will that still be racist and xenophobic? Never gonna happen. These "leaders" would happily sacrifice America to stay in power.
Then again, maybe these leaders won't have a choice. Watch: New Yorkers Protesting Migrant Camps Chant ‘Pasty White Liberals’ at Open Borders Activist. It turns out they've come to the conclusion all this is "unfair"! Remarkable! And, "their tax dollars" shouldn't be supporting all this. Amazing! Well, no one wrote the Book of Fair, and it's been my observation what's fair all depends on whose ox is being gored.
Ever since rogue George Soros-backed Manhattan district
attorney Alvin Bragg set his sights on Donald J. Trump, Democrats have
been wagging their tongues like a blind dog’s tail in a meat
market… It didn’t happen under Alvin Bragg........But this past Thursday, Democrats at long
last grabbed their brass ring: President Trump.......was subjected to a mugshot by a Lilliputian sheriff
called Patrick.......“We treat everybody equally.” Of course that must mean Fani Willis must also be charged since she pushed election fraud theories herself in the past. SO WILL SHE INDICT
HERSELF, and will this puppet sheriff mug her?
Give it to John Kennedy. He's outraged at this lawfare insanity intended to destroy innocent people in order to fix the outcome of the 2024 election, all the while massive crimes, including treason, can be laid in the feet of Joe Biden and his crime family, and not only isn't Joe Biden being charged, or investigated, the very serious crimes committed by Hunter are not only being ignored, the DOJ is working to cover them up, and again, forty-two percent of respondents view Biden favorably. While the media was ecstatic over Trump being "mugged", that mug shot has been a real shot in the arm for Trump, as most Americans see this for what it is, political banana republic persecution, and donations to his campaign are skyrocketing.
Crime is King
America's major cities are done. Crime is out of control, and the insane things Democrats are saying is frightening. As an example, that dimwit nitwit L.A. Mayor Bass, claims, failing to punish criminals isn't the cause behind all the retail theft destroying L.A. Of course her pro-crime policies have nothing to do with this massive upsurge. No, it's because these companies are making money, hense, that forces thugs to rob them. So, what's the solution? Don't sell $10,000 purses and that won't force thugs to rob you. Simple, or simpleton?
Then we have Gavin Newsom who claims guns are the number one killer of children, which is simply false, and of course the solution is pass more strict gun laws this will end! But reality is always the sticking factor with the left. As it turns out 7 were injured during a shooting in heavily gun controlled Massachusetts. They have red flag laws, bans on high capacity magazines, universal background
checks, gun owner licensing, and gun storage laws, and yet what do we find is the foundational problem? Culture! This took place during the Boston Caribbean Carnival, and shock of shocks, “there is a history of violent incidents that have taken place around Caribbean festivals in Boston and Cambridge.”
John Hinderaker asks, Is Crime Unacceptable? And the answer must be...well...yes it is, that is if we ask:
..........what are these retailers doing to
defend themselves? Are they standing up for law enforcement? Are they
supporting politicians who defend law enforcement? Are they lobbying for
stiffer criminal penalties for organized shoplifting rings? Are they
doing anything to defend and uphold a culture that disapproves of theft?
Or are they going along with trendy liberal dogmas that undermine the
rule of law?
It's clear to the most causal observer who is responsible and what the source of the problem is, but American industry has been contaminated with leftist thinking and insanity regarding all this diversity, equity and inclusion, and they've abandoned those foundational principles that keep a society stable.
Among the innumerable follies occasioned by such a conception of
racial identity, he suggests, was the housing bubble and market collapse
of 2008. The debacle began, Mr. Sowell reminds us, with the widespread
belief on the part of regulators that banks were discriminating against
black mortgage applicants. It was true that black applicants were turned
down more often than white applicants for the same loans, but it was
also true that white applicants were turned down more often than
Asian-Americans. So were banks discriminating against white applicants?
No, the difference had to do with the average credit ratings of whites,
blacks and Asians.
The left destroys all the foundational values that make for a stable society, and it starts with the most important part of that foundation. Family! Public education as we know it started in America in the late 19th century, and it was done by socialists, with the goal of making sure "the apple fell as far away from the tree" as possible, making sure it wasn't the parents or the churches that would be the moral arbiter for America children, but the state. That effort to destroy the family has been a continues effort, and is now reached it's apex.
The left is and always has been insidious and mendacious. D. Parker posted this article, How do we resist the corrupted and crooked fascist far left?on August 27, noting the left is incompetent, it lies, corrupt to the core, projects what they're doing on to others, and spew out logical fallacies. Without those tools they have nothing, that means standing firm and exposing them for who and what they are, "collectivists with horrible ideas who have
elevated the sordid skill of lying to an art form".
Every thing the left embraces, and everything the left forces on humanity, has long term destructive consequences to society. Whether it's public and higher education, or it involves forced vaccinations with chemical compounds that are in reality not true vaccines but gene altering chemical compounds, this transsexual revolution, the acceptance of criminal behavior as a new normal, or abandonment of the nation's sovereignty and control of our borders, the long term negative consequences will destroy America.'
Florida has been falsely accused of “book bans” for pulling graphic pornography and racism from schools. A Florida school district was sued for
keeping, “All Boys Aren’t Blue”, which features lines such as “he
reached his hand down and pulled out my d____”, away from kids.
The Biden administration claimed that it was “incomprehensible”
that the DeSantis administration had rejected a black history AP course
featuring the works of Amiri Baraka whose poems included lines such as
“we are all beautiful (except white people, they are full of, and made
of s__t)” and “Rape the white girls. Rape / their fathers. Cut the
mothers’ throats.”
But now the Left has discovered educational materials in Florida schools that it wants to ban.
Outrage,
condemnations, petitions and threats greeted the revelation that
Florida had allowed schools to use PragerU materials if they wanted to.
After months of accusing Florida of banning books, the media and leftist
activists mounted a crusade to ban PragerU from schools.
NPR,
which had attacked Florida for keeping graphic pornography and racism
away from kids, breathlessly condemned the state’s educational system
for potentially allowing videos which correctly state that “slavery was
part of life all over the world” and that “the planet has been warming
and cooling since prehistoric times”.
The show quoted a PTA
president blustering, “I do not want my kids exposed to this –
absolutely not.” while its reporter worried that “no Florida school
district has yet announced plans to use PragerU Kids videos, but they
can’t stop teachers from showing them, either.”
The leftists were for book bans before they were against them, and now are for them again.
After
insisting that teachers should not be prevented from discussing their
sex lives with kids or secretly transitioning them to the opposite sex,
NPR is worried that there’s nothing to stop Florida educators from
showing a video about American history.
Among those condemning
the PragerU curriculum was the vice president of the Florida Freedom to
Read project which had attacked schools for jettisoning ‘Lawn Boy’ which
included lines such as, “I was ten years old, but it’s true. I put Doug
Goble’s d___ in my mouth.”
Freedom to read means teaching kids
about 10-year-old boys performing sex acts, but not that slavery was
commonplace in the 19th century or that the climate has always been
changing.
“Of all the PragerU propaganda you’ve seen, this might
be the worst. Frederick Douglass takes a dig at BLM while praising the
founding fathers as abolitionists and calling the Constitution a
‘glorious liberty document,”’ David Heath, a white former CNN reporter,
agonized. “Florida is letting schools play this stuff.”
Florida
is letting schools teach that the constitution is a “glorious liberty
document”, but not provide 10-year-olds with sex manuals. What’s
happening to our educational system?
In Tallahassee, black church
leaders who, despite their alleged religiosity, are fine with pushing
LGBTQ sex on kids, protested outside the state’s Department of
Education.
The pastors accused Gov. DeSantis of “wickedness” and
“dark work”, and complained that PragerU videos (correctly) “depicts the
Founding Fathers as abolitionists” and “states white people led the
effort to abolish slavery.”
The Rev. Dr. Joe Parramore (He/Him), who runs a “safe, LGBT welcoming and affirming ministry”, suggested that
PragerU videos could lead to a cutoff in federal funding. “We cannot
stand idly by and continue to allow the atrocities of a dictatorial
leadership of a scared white nationalist DeSantis to inflict harm on the
citizens and students of our state,” he ranted.
CAIR joined the
attack by accusing PragerU of “Islamophobic tropes” over an old video of
ex-Muslim activist Ayann Hirsi Ali who had been forced to flee Muslim
death threats and the factual statement that “there is no moderate
Islam.” That quote actually came from Turkey’s Islamist dictator who
had argued, “Islam cannot be either ‘moderate’ or ‘not moderate. ‘ Islam
can only be one thing.” And CAIR has certainly spent its existence
proving that.
The final member of Florida’s anti-PragerU
coalition was an unindicted co-conspirator in funding Hamas. As the
Department of Justice noted, “the evidence at trial linked CAIR leaders
to Hamas, a specially designated terrorist organization, and CAIR was
named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the case.” CAIR offers a guide
for educators and no one objects to that because leftist educators
prefer Hamas to PragerU.
While Florida has shown no signs of
retreating from allowing teachers to use the PragerU curriculum (as they
do supplemental materials from many other organizations), the New
Hampshire Board of Ed postponed a vote on allowing a financial literacy
course by PragerU on such controversial topics as how to read pay stubs
and how compound interest works.
Radicals from Occupy New
Hampshire Seacoast to the local AFT-NH teachers’ union rallied to oppose
what even opponents admitted was “a non- or less-controversial course
on financial literacy”. The Boston Globe weighed in without offering a
specific criticism of the course materials.
The two Democrats running for governor, Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig and Executive Councilwoman Cinde Warmington, warred with each other to warn about the threat of PragerU.
Craig
claimed that “PragerU does not reflect New Hampshire values” without
clarifying how the educational group’s materials failed to align with
the state’s motto of “live free or die”. The controversial mayor’s
administration had previously approved COVID relief money to be spent on a high school drag show. That does reflect Craig’s version of New Hampshire values.
Warmington
wildly warned that PragerU teaching students how to calculate their
taxes would “undermine the bedrock of our democracy”. Democracy can’t
survive if kids learn to add. That may explain why leftist public school
systems have destroyed math education.
The attacks on PragerU
are short on substance and heavy on alarmism. One podcast denounces it
as “far-right” and a “right-wing propaganda machine” guilty of a
“reactionary political agenda” and “a regressive vision of society”. All
of this is a repetitive leftist way of saying that it’s conservative.
None of the critiques of PragerU get any less hypocritical.
Leftists
who are obsessed with indoctrinating students accuse PragerU of
indoctrination. The same activists who claim to be fighting against book
bans also want to ban PragerU.
According to teachers’ unions,
the media and radical activists, racism, porn and terrorism belong in
schools, but financial literacy and the constitution don’t.

Now he’s running for a second term on a platform of freedom.
“Freedom
– personal freedom – is fundamental to who we are as Americans,” Biden,
who had fought to force millions of people to wear masks, recited in a
campaign video.
The last time he was this eloquent, Washington
D.C. was all but under martial law and he rode to the inauguration of
his stolen election past rows of National Guardsmen in a locked down
city.
The Biden video then went on to warn that, “the question we
are facing is whether in the years ahead we have more freedom or less
freedom, more rights or fewer.”
And if you doubt that, Biden’s
infrastructure bill included a pilot program to remotely track drivers.
His newly revitalized IRS is cracking down on moms who sell used clothes
on eBay and his administration created a disinformation office to track
political dissent on the internet.
Endorsing Biden’s exciting new freedom agenda was a politician antonymous with freedom.
“Our
democracy is under attack. Our freedom is being stripped away,” Gov.
Gavin Newsom of California, whose one-party party rule has banned singing in churches and synagogues, disposable utensils, fur coats, purchasing puppies, flavored tobacco, gas furnaces, salmon fishing, shark fins, rat poison, Indian mascots, leaf blowers and travel to half of America.
“It’s
time to step up—and there’s no one better to lead that fight than
President Biden,” Newsom urged in his campaign tweet. “Looking forward
to another 4 years of his leadership.”
If there’s anyone who
knows about stripping away freedom, it’s Gov. Newsom whose system
forcibly shut down churches and synagogues, and banned protests on government property.
“Every
generation has a moment,” Biden, who was born during WWII, claimed, “To
stand up for their fundamental freedoms. I believe this is ours. That’s
why I’m running for reelection.”
After dodging the draft in Vietnam, Biden’s reporting for duty at the age of 80 to fight for freedom.
On a word association test, Americans listed “dementia”
and “old” as being among the words that they associated with Biden.
“Freedom” did not make the list. That was back in 2020, but it’s hard to
believe that in the years of misery since, “freedom” has beaten out
“dementia” in either the minds of the voters or in the mind of the man
who has to remember how to walk down stairs.
But since Biden
can’t run on a platform of promising to take his medication long enough
to steal the rest of the money out of your wallet, he’s running on the
same platform as Patrick Henry.
Sort of.
“Around the
country, MAGA extremists are lining up to take those bedrock freedoms
away,” Biden claimed, in front of pictures of Donald Trump and Ron
DeSantis.
What sort of “bedrock freedoms” is he running to protect?
According
to Biden, he’s going to fight for our freedoms against Republicans
“dictating what health care decisions women can make”, a euphemism for
killing babies in the womb, and “banning books”, a euphemism for keeping
graphic pornographic books out of schools.
When the Framers met
in Independence Hall in Philadelphia, they neglected to add killing
babies and grooming kids to the Constitution as our bedrock freedoms.
They did however bar the government from suppressing political speech
and the right to bear arms. Those are actual bedrock freedoms that Biden
has repeatedly violated and intends to go on violating.
While
his supporters went on an arson spree attacking pro-life centers around
the country for the crime of encouraging women to keep their babies, the
Biden DOJ and FBI spent all of its time raiding pro-life activists who were engaged in non-violent civil disobedience.
Unlike arson and killing babies, the right to protest actually is one of our “bedrock freedoms”.
“Let’s
stand with teachers and parents against politicians try to score
political points by banning books,” Biden had previously pleaded at a
White House event. When actual parents had protested these ‘books’,
including those featuring graphic sex with children, by speaking out at school board meetings, the Biden administration tried to investigate them as terrorists.
The right to assembly isn’t one of our bedrock freedoms, but pushing sex on 8-year-olds is.
The
Biden campaign ad includes a pile of supposedly banned books. Buried
under Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man and To Kill a Mockingbird is Lawn
Boy by Jonathan Evison. Lawn Boy features 8 and 10-year-olds performing sex acts. “I
was ten years old, but it’s true. I put Doug Goble’s d___ in my mouth,”
runs one line. This is what Biden wants to force into every school.
Last
year, the Biden administration sent in the feds to go after a school
district in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for daring to remove books from
its school library that included ‘This Book Is Gay’, which teaches
students to use ‘sex apps’ to hook up and then “meet the trick in a
public place”.
Biden’s idea of freedom is using the power of the
state to crush local parents for refusing to let their kids be groomed
to secretly prostitute themselves through their smartphones.
The
freedom to suppress parents who want to protect their kids is
“fundamental to who we are as Americans”. Almost as much as banning
light bulbs, cars and women winning at sports.
Running for a second term on a platform of killing and sexually abusing children is unique.
But
it’s also a cunning strategy. As long as voters are debating the merits
of Biden’s proposal to kill and sexually abuse children, they’re being
distracted from their economic misery. All the talk of whether parents
should face domestic terrorism investigations for opposing books that
promote graphic sex to 8-year-olds may make them forget that they can’t
afford to buy food.
“I pledge to make sure your kids can be
safely raped or murdered,” may not be the best campaign slogan, but it
is memorable. Especially if you wrap up Justice Department
investigations of concerned parents and peaceful protesters in a drag
act of freedom.
Freedom means different things to different
people. To the Founding Fathers it meant that Americans would be left
alone by the government. To Biden and his party, it means that the
people should never be left alone by the government for one solitary
single second.
That generic totalitarianism has been infused with a perverse ideological insanity.
The
price of a government that never leaves you alone is economically
enormous. Biden has proposed a $6.8 trillion federal budget and his
corrupt inflationary spending is destroying the finances of the nation
and the future of generations. But it’s also catastrophic morally. An
intrusive state always needs crises to serve as a pretext for its
crackdowns. And the warped morals of totalitarians tend to revolve
around cruelty and debauchery. Especially to children.
Freedom to
totalitarians looks like the right to kill and rape children. And the
authority to force parents and all decent people to keep quiet while
they do it.
