This Falls Under, "It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time", Category

By Rich Kozlovich

On July 4, 2025 Antifa attacked Prairieland Detention Center in Texas.  Antifa has been declared a terrorist organization, and with the information about these arrest has been made public, it's clear that's exactly what they are, terrorists. This wasn't a protest, it was a riot, with a police officer being shot it the neck.  This was intended to be violent terrorist attack through use of firearms and explosives.  A number of them were identified and arrested with their leader sentenced to 100 years, and the others between 30 and 70 years.

As U.S. District Judge Reed O'Connor, "one of two judges overseeing the proceedings, said what happened last July wasn't a protest but "an assault on democracy." "The need to deter this type of conduct is high," and their sentences reflected that reality.

These foolish people have ruined their lives. Why would these young people act in such a manner? The answer is clear to the most casual observer.  The leftist fever swamps warped their thinking. They lived in a leftist preconceptional philosophical bubble where they reached conclusions without concern for truth, facts or justice.  Since they refused to hear or read anything that disputed or refuted their preconceived notions, their views must be right.

Here's how one of the defense lawyers defined what they did:

"a bunch of kids and young adults who really have a really big heart and really wanted their voice to be heard."

I guess they thought they couldn't be properly heard without guns and explosives?  Did I get that right?

Did they really think they could get away with this?  Actually, given the corruption of the Biden DOJ and the federal judiciary they most likely did think that. But that's over, at least for the time being. Interestingly two of these misfits are transgender "women". Their time in prison is going to be interesting,

  • Update, 10:42 AM.  If you have any doubt this is an organized effort, internationally,  take a look at my 2025 article, The Trojan Horses and who's funding every left wing movement there is.  The green movement is merely part and parcel of this organized well funded destructive international effort.

Mamdani Wants to Free Half of Criminals

There are too many criminals in prison and Mamdani wants to let half of them out.

By Daniel Greenfield @ Sultan Knish Blog

There are too many criminals in prison and Mamdani wants to let half of them out.

Mamdani complained that the Adams administration had increased the number of criminals in Rikers Island by a thousand and claimed that “we can reduce that jail population to less than four thousand”. The infamous New York City prison has around 7,000 criminals on average and Mamdani cited a pro-crime proposal to reduce the number in there to only 3,700 criminals.

That would mean freeing some 3,300 or 47%, nearly half, of the criminals there.

Pro-crime policies such as eliminating bail already put most criminals back on the street almost as soon as they’re arrested. The limited number of criminals still being remanded are the worst of the worst. After years of being fed sob stories about shoplifters going to Rikers, Mamdani and the pro-crime activists trying to free half the criminals from Rikers aren’t even pretending.

Mamdani cited an article by an activist from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, once a fine institution that produced capable people, but that has become an academic hub for pro-crime activism.

Its proposals for cutting the Rikers population in half include no bail for first arrests “even in serious violent felony cases”, freeing three-quarters of criminals “facing violent felony charges”, exempting from prison those charged with a list of sentences that covers sexual misconduct, forcible touching, as well as sexual abuse in the second and third degrees, mandatory pre-trial release of criminals after a certain period, more early release for a variety of offenders including those who have committed assault and sexual abuse, and releasing criminals “who really do pose a flight risk” but offering them “employment assistance” to keep them from running away.

What is abundantly clear is that there is no way to significantly reduce the violent criminal population at Rikers without freeing violent criminals including some of the worst ones.

46% of the criminals at Rikers Island were charged with a violent felony.

After a decade of pro-crime policies and the mass jailbreaks of the COVID and BLM era, the only ones still in Rikers are the truly dangerous. The prison is full of repeat offenders, criminals who have committed horrifying acts against the public and the violently disturbed madmen.

And those are the ones whom Mamdani is proposing to set loose.

Past pro-crime proposals pretended that the only ones who would be released would be the misleadingly named “non-violent offenders” (in reality, the so-called non-violent offenders are often violent criminals who are being ‘charged down’ and have had violent crimes defined down to manufacture the illusion that crime is lower than it really is), but that’s no longer on the table.

Mamdani’s cited proposal has two separate sections that explicitly mention freeing violent criminals and several others that implicitly require mass releases of dangerous criminals.

The proposal endorsed by Mamdani as a strategy for clearing out the prisons complains that judges released only a quarter of criminals facing violent felony charges (murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault) while keeping around half in custody. It sneers at the “people’s perceived (and often misperceived) risk to public safety” when it comes to letting violent criminals loose.

What’s the actual risk?

Over the last 28 day period in New York City, murder is up 19%, rape is up 38.9%, the number of shooting victims is up 36%.

Crime, despite all the political pro-crime narratives, is getting worse. And people know it.

A majority of New Yorkers say that crime has gotten worse since 2020 and BLM riots. 70% want more police officers and most want an end to revolving door arrests and to see bail come back because “too many people are being arrested and immediately released into the streets where they commit violent crimes”. 61% oppose the general plan to close Rikers Island that was championed in the report cited by Mamdani and by the pro-crime lobby in general.

No polling has been done on the specifics of freeing half the criminals in Rikers, including many violent felons, but the public is unlikely to be in favor of such a mass jailbreak.

Even though a majority fear being the victim of a crime, Mamdani laughs at the idea of restoring public safety and bringing back a functional criminal justice system to New York City. “What purpose” does prison serve, Mamdani asked in one conversation, suggesting that people defend what the pro-crime lobby calls ‘the carceral state’ or the prison system “because of the way it makes them feel.”

The purpose served by the prison system is keeping criminals off the street. Earlier this year, a monster with 70 prior arrests, including smashing a 2-year-old girl in the face with a suitcase, smashed a woman’s head against a pole in the subway. The NYPD commissioner revealed that the crime wave was driven by repeat offenders arrested three or more times for the same crime.

What will those numbers look like if Mamdani frees a prison half full of violent criminals?

Murders and rapes are already up over the summer. Some lower category offenses appear to be down, but that’s only because they’re no longer being reported or charged. But the real crime wave is still coming. Every previous mass release of criminals has made New York City more dangerous and less safe. But the release of the worst of the worst may soon be coming.

And the price will be paid by children playing in parks, by tourists stopping to see the sights, by random people crossing the streets and by the most vulnerable, women, children and the elderly, being terrorized by the worst monsters who used to be kept locked away in prison.

Closing Rikers Island and freeing violent criminals will make New York City into Rikers as the city becomes one big prison in which the criminals are free and everyone else is locked up.

The Pravda Press "Fact Checks" President Trump On D.C. Crime Statistics

Our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., has a violent crime problem that is, objectively, very serious. Indeed, considering that Washington is the capital of the wealthiest and most important country in the world, its level of violent crime is quite shocking.

And thus a few days ago (August 11), the President decided to address the problem by federalizing law enforcement in the District of Columbia, at least for some period of time. Trump accompanied his action with a press conference and a series of news releases: “Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Declares a Crime Emergency to Restore Safety in the District of Columbia”; “Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Restores Law and Order in the District of Columbia”; and “RESTORING LAW AND ORDER IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.”

Both orally at the press conference, and in the written news releases, Trump cited various crime statistics from the District to illustrate the seriousness of the problem. Among Trump’s oral statements was this one, quoted in the New York Times on August 11:

“Our capital city has been overtaken by violent gangs and bloodthirsty criminals, roving mobs of wild youth, drugged-out maniacs and homeless people,” Mr. Trump said. “And we’re not going to let it happen anymore.”

Here are some examples from the first of the three news releases linked above:

  • The surge in violent crime in our Nation’s capital is a national disgrace that threatens public safety and Federal operations, to the detriment of all Americans.
  • Washington, D.C. has one of the highest robbery and murder rates among large U.S. cities nationwide, with a homicide rate exceeding 27 per 100,000 residents in 2024.
  • Vehicle theft in the District is over three times the national average, at 842.4 thefts per 100,000 residents, ranking it among the most dangerous cities globally.

Now, our Pravda press is not about to allow President Trump to get away with a take down of the most dominantly Democratic city in the country without a strong response. So, call in the fact checkers!

The problem here is that D.C.’s violent crime problem truly is horrific. There is no way really to defend the D.C. local government’s record for law enforcement. And thus we have some of the most humorous examples of the “fact checking” art that I have seen recently — nit-picking the usual Trump exaggerations as a way of diverting attention from the truly bad crime situation in Washington.

It seems that the urge to push back against this Trump initiative was almost irresistible for the Democratic press, such that I find articles taking on Trump’s assertions literally everywhere, from the New York Times to PolitiFact, to PBS, to NBC, to CNN, to Axios, to HuffPost, to the Washington Post, and on and on. But they all seem to take their talking points from this New York Times piece from August 12, so I will use that one as the source of quotes. The headline is “Trump Misstates Washington Crime Data to Justify Takeover.” The sub-headline is “The president cited a number of false and misleading claims about homicides and youth crime in the nation’s capital.”

So OK New York Times, what are the statements that you claim are “false and misleading”? Here’s the first one that sets the tone for the article:

WHAT WAS SAID

“Murders in 2023 reached the highest rate probably ever. They say 25 years, but they don’t know what that means because it just goes back 25 years.”— Mr. Trump in the news conference on Monday

False. There were 274 homicides in Washington in 2023 among a population of about 679,000 people, a rate of about 40.4 per 100,000 people. That was the highest rate in over 20 years, but not “ever.” Moreover, the homicide rate has since declined. The number of homicides declined by about a third in 2024 to 187 while the population grew to over 702,000 people, for a rate of 26.6 per 100,000.

So the “falsity” is that there were still higher rates of murders in D.C. more than 25 years ago, and that the rate has declined from 40.4 per 100,000 in 2023 to only 26.6 in 2024. Neither of those goes to the heart of the assertion, which is that the rate — whether 40.4 or 26.6 — is unacceptably high. Shouldn’t there be some recognition that 40.4, and even 26.6, are quite extraordinarily high murder rates for a major capital city? For comparison, in New York City, there were 377 murders in 2024 in a population of 8.4 million, for a rate of 4.5 per 100,000, less than one-sixth the rate in Washington. In places like London, Paris and Berlin, the murder rates are more like 1 to 1.5 per 100,000.

And then we get to the humorous part. Apparently Trump put up a chart of various third-world capital cities, showing murder rates well below that of Washington: for example, Lima 7/100K; Havana 4/100K: Nairobi 5/100K; Brasilia 13/100K; Mexico City 8/100K. He then said that Washington’s rate was “No.1 that we can find anywhere in the world.” The Times has really got him on that one:

[Washington’s murder] rate is nowhere near the highest “anywhere in the world.” In 2023, according to data compiled by the Igarapé Institute, a Brazilian think tank, capitals with higher homicide rates included Port-au-Prince, Haiti, with a rate of 67.2 per 100,000 people; Cape Town, South Africa, with 66.8; Kingston, Jamaica, with 64.2; Caracas, Venezuela, with 47.9; and Guatemala City at 47.8.

Did you have any idea that Washington’s murder rate was that close to the rates of true hell-holes like Port-au-Prince and Caracas?

And how about in the United States?

Overall, the think tank reported, 47 cities with more than 250,000 people had higher homicide rates than 40.4 . . . including six in the United States: Memphis, New Orleans, St. Louis, Baltimore, Cleveland and Detroit.

Surprise — it’s a list of six of the worst-governed cities in the United States, all of them having had uninterrupted rule by Democrats for decades.

I can’t help thinking that Trump intentionally threw in some exaggerations in order to bait the entire liberal press corps into defending the indefensible of Washington’s violent crime situation.

Why Do People Vote For People Who Hate Them?

By Rich Kozlovich

Editor's Note: I ran this in 2023, and given what's going on in the New York City Mayor's race, and the latest outrage coupled with Mamdani's anti-police rhetoric, which may very well end Mamdani's campaign, it seems appropriate to run it again.  RK

America is descending into a cesspool of degraded values in order to attain diversity, equity and inclusion, and it must be noted none of that has a thing to do with merit or accomplishment.  I've stated this in the past and I stand by it completely, diversity without accomplishment is incompetence without consequence.

Well, I stand by that with a caveat.  There actually are consequences to this insanity, negative consequences. But the consequences are not paid for by those promoting it or those benefiting from it.  They're paid for by society.

On May 17, 2023 Vince Coyner posted this great article, For Decades, Democrats Have Been Ignoring Evidence And Facts, starting with this observation:

About 20 years ago, I read a piece about the North Miami police department eliminating the swimming requirement for the police............North Miami has hundreds of miles of canals, lakes, and beaches. Predictably, the reason the requirement was being dropped was that “blacks are less likely than whites to know how to swim because of economic disparities between the groups…” In other words, the change was because not enough blacks were qualified to become police.....“If our goal is to have a more diverse workforce…” (a questionable assertion in the first place) “and not enough otherwise qualified black candidates can pass the swim test, maybe we should simply take those candidates who meet the other requirements and teach them how to swim.” But that’s not what they did.

Then there's this gun issue, as the author states:

It’s estimated that more than 80% of gun crimes are committed by people who came into possession of their weapons illegally, which means that, conservatively, legal gun owners perpetrated only 20% of gun crimes. There are almost 100,000 shootings in the United States annually (not counting suicides). If we assume that 20% of those shootings were by legal gun owners, that would be 20,000 shootings. To put that in perspective, that would mean that .0002% of legal gun owners commit crimes with their weapons, or conversely, 99.9998% of legal gun owners never use their guns in crimes….

So what's the Democrat solution?

Democrats work continuously to take guns away from all of those apparently “violence eschewing” citizens while at the same time seeking to free actual violent criminals from jail or prison or not send them there in the first place—even as those they free are the ones who actually commit most of the crimes and the worst crimes, and it’s not even close.

One has to ask if Democrats actually care about the average American?  I think the answer is clear.  Apparently not!  So why would average American vote for them?  They're not, that's why voter fraud has become rampant and ubiquitous.

How Gov. Gavin Newsom Killed 30 People

By Daniel Greenfield @ Sultan Knish Blog

On a warm spring night in ‘21, Tonya Molina was found strangled to death in a motel room. Molina, a 43-year-old mother, had been on vacation. She met Santiago Contreras, a transgender criminal who had been serving time for stalking and assault, before being released by Gov. Gavin Newsom with nothing but an ankle monitor. Contreras, a man who had told prison officials that he was struggling as a transgender woman, cut off the monitor and killed Tonya.

Tonya Molina was one of 30 people killed by Gov. Gavin Newsom’s ‘early releases’ of criminals.

Even as Gov. Newsom engaged in an unprecedented lockdown of the state, as local officials chased surfers off beaches, filled skate parks with sand, roped off benches and cut power to small businesses, he also began releasing criminals to terrorize the state.

“It’s always been top of mind, it’s always been a point of concern,” Gov. Newsom said of reported COVID cases at San Quentin prison, promising to expedite the release of what he claimed were “low-risk” criminals. Contreras would have been considered “low risk”.

Those releases ultimately amounted to 14,800 criminals freed and many more that were not even held because Newsom also suspended the intake of new criminals into prisons.

1 in 4 of Newsom’s criminals were back behind bars in less than three years. 1 in 3 are back in prison in total. And these numbers continue to grow. 4,600 of the released criminals have been put back behind bars on charges ranging from murder to rape to assault and robbery.

Some preyed on children.

The “low risk” criminals released by Newsom included a man who had “unlawful sex with a victim under 16″, another man who had “sold drugs to more than 100 minors” and was then sent back to prison for “rape with force / violence / fear of a minor 14 years of age or older”.

While the full number of victims on Newsom’s crime wave is unknown, we do know that there were 30 murders committed by the men freed by the governor in response to pandemic fears.

The so-called “COVID-outbreak” in San Quentin that led to nationwide media coverage, condemnations and calls for action resulted in 26 deaths in a prison population of over 3,000..

More people were killed by COVID prison releases than by the San Quentin “outbreak”.

An ‘outbreak’ at Folsom State Prison, made famous by Johnny Cash, had only 2 deaths out of over 3,000. Nevertheless it was targeted for early release because of the “large populations of high-risk patients.” Other outbreaks proved equally underwhelming.

There were nearly 10,000 COVID deaths in California nursing homes and only 265 deaths in California prisons. The vast majority of inmates who died of COVID were older. There were only 34 COVID deaths among criminals under 55, 80 deaths among the 55-64 population, 83 deaths among those 65-74 and 43 deaths among criminals over 75.

Had Gov. Newsom limited early releases to criminals over 55, he would have dealt with the age range at risk for 86% of COVID prison deaths.

Newsom and California Democrats chose not to do that because the purpose was not to save criminals from COVID, but to use COVID as an excuse to free as many criminals as possible.

The full total of Gov. Newsom’s victims is unknown, but in addition to the 30 murders, there were fatal drunk driving incidents and some 460 assaults with an unknown total number of victims, but we should assume that in addition to the murders there were at least 460 assault victims.

Newsom’s criminals also carried out at least 400 burglaries with a similarly unknown number of victims that begins at 400. There were at least 180 or so second degree robberies, car thefts and domestic abuse cases each from Newsom’s total. Combined together that sets a toll of at least 1,430 crime victims. And those are only the 1,430 crimes for which we have any kind of statistical information among the 4,600 repeat offenders.

Since other crimes, especially sexual assault and child abuse, are not listed and criminals typically commit more than one crime before being arrested, the actual numbers of Newsom’s victims would be much higher than this partial list of crimes.

However even these 1,430 crime victims represent over 800 violent assaults on Californians.

Gov. Gavin Newsom said of freeing criminals that “we still have a lot more work to do in that space and we recognize our responsibility to do so.” The over 800 victims of Newsom’s violent crime spree are a tragic testament to his hard work in freeing criminals across California.

During COVID, Gov. Newsom locked down ordinary citizens and unlocked prison doors to set loose murders, rapists, robbers and the worst monsters to prey on a helpless citizenry which had been discouraged from leaving their houses or making contact with their fellow human beings. Isolated and afraid they fell victim to thousands of criminals who did not care about wearing masks, practicing social distancing or any of the other regulations imposed by Newsom.

While children were prevented from going to school and small businesses were forced to shut their doors, parks were gated off and people were warned against strolling through the beach, California’s criminals, set loose by Gov. Newsom, enjoyed an unprecedented crime spree.

In one year, murders shot up from 1,679 to 2,202, car thefts from 140,372 to 168,046, and arsons from 8,266 to 11,759. Californians learned to live in terror of disease, of each other and of crime.

There are at least 30 deaths on Gov. Gavin Newsom’s hands, and unknown numbers of sexual assaults, including against children as young as 14 years old who had their lives destroyed.

Now Gov. Newsom claims that crime in California is down. What he forgets to mention is that it’s only going down because the criminals he released are slowly being sent back to prison.

Karma for Comey: Is the FBI Investigating Its Former Director?

A whistleblower claim that the Bureau spied on Trump’s 2016 campaign spurs new probe.

By Feb 26, 2025 @ Liberty Nation News, Tags Articles, Opinion, Politics

Karma for Comey: Is the FBI Investigating Its Former Director?;

In June 2015, Donald Trump famously descended that golden escalator in New York City’s Trump Tower and announced he was running for president. Sometime later in that same year, according to an FBI whistleblower, then-director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation James Comey set in motion an “off-the-books” operation to infiltrate the future president’s campaign. That whistleblower’s “protected disclosure” to the House Judiciary Committee in 2024 became an exclusive for The Washington Times. The paper is now reporting that the FBI, under new leadership, has opened an investigation into Comey’s secret scheme to spy on Trump’s campaign.

According to the whistleblower’s disclosure, reviewed by the Times, Comey assigned two female FBI agents to infiltrate the Trump campaign in a “honeypot” operation – a storied piece of spy craft that involves agents, usually female, using romance or sometimes just sex to gather intelligence.

No criminal activity was suspected, and no case file was created. This was, essentially, a fishing expedition to see what, if anything, could be used against then-candidate Trump. According to the paper, this whistleblower is, or was, an FBI agent who “personally knew” Comey initiated the operation and directed it personally.

FBI on Jim Comey’s Tail?

The FBI is now working to identify one of the two undercover agents who was apparently later promoted to a senior position and is currently with a “major” FBI field office. The other agent transferred to the CIA, allegedly so that she could be shielded from being called as a witness, should the matter come under investigation.

The whistleblower further revealed that Michael Horowitz, the Justice Department’s inspector general, was never informed of Comey’s scheme. The operation was shut down after a prominent newspaper obtained a photograph of one of the undercover agents. The FBI managed to stop the paper from publishing the picture by claiming she was an informant whose safety might be compromised. Everyone involved was sworn to secrecy.

In 2016, on Comey’s watch, the FBI launched Crossfire Hurricane, the now-discredited counterintelligence operation that sought to uncover collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government to influence the presidential election. That effort proved fruitless, and a subsequent special counsel probe found no evidence of such a conspiracy.

LN News: Now on Roku and Fire

Comey, who was eventually fired by then-President Trump, has been a vocal critic of the 45th and now 47th commander-in-chief. More recently, he has been encouraging federal employees to resist the current administration’s efforts to downsize the government workforce. In particular, the former FBI director is not happy that Trump has ordered the firing of Justice Department prosecutors and FBI agents involved in going after Jan. 6 protesters.

“Fight for the rule of law — to protect your country and to keep your jobs,” Comey wrote in a Feb. 2 social media post directed at DOJ and FBI personnel. “Don’t let the darkness of bad people steal the joy of public service.” In a clear reference to the Trump administration, he added, “Know that these people, some evil, most just followers too weak to stand up, will fade, but the need for your work will remain.”

Kash Patel, who was recently sworn in as the ninth director of the FBI, has vowed to get the Bureau back on mission. Patel has long been a critic of the apparent political weaponization of America’s premier law enforcement agency. If The Washington Times report is accurate and James Comey is the target of an investigation, most of the president’s supporters will probably view it as a richly deserved dose of karma.

Don’t Take the Train

By @ Sultan Knish Blog

During winters, I would take the F train to school and over summer I would ride it to Coney Island until I could tell which subway station I was approaching by the color of the wall tiles. I would take a breath as the subway train left the dark tunnels, rails sparking and the lights occasionally flickering out, to ascend to the ‘high line’ overlooking McDonald Avenue.

Coney Island-Stillwell Av was the last stop if it was summer or I was playing hooky on a winter beach day. It was also the last stop for Debrina Kawam, a homeless woman, who was sleeping on the train when she was set on fire by a Guatemalan migrant on her last Sunday morning.

Kawam had likely been avoiding the homeless shelters after they were overrun with violent migrants, but it did her no good. The last we saw of her, she was standing and burning, while people walked by or filmed with their phones at the last stop in view of the cold seaside air.

The murder on the F train took place weeks after Daniel Penny, a Marine Corps veteran, had been ‘let off’ after heroically intervening to stop a career maniac, who previously assaulted a number of elderly women with no consequences, restraining him on a Brooklyn bound F train.

The F train is no worse than any other subway line, traveling from Jamaica, Queens to Coney Island, letting you go from JFK Airport right to the beach (or the other way around) but it is the second longest subway route after the A train made famous by Duke Ellington. The F train did not exist yet and in any case ducks out via Roosevelt Island to Queens long before it reaches Harlem or Ellington’s home in Washington Heights which was then reachable by the A train.

The 27 mile length of the route makes the F train a magnet for homeless, scam artists, subway performers and assorted crazies who know that they can enjoy a ride of over an hour and a half (on a good day) with scenic views, three boroughs and a selection of comfortable seats, if you like orange and yellow buckets, with room to stretch out your feet from a window seat.

There was a time when subway personnel walked through the cars, warning anyone putting their feet up, but these days they have far bigger problems, not just old-fashioned pickpockets and muggers, but random stabbings, serial sexual predators who go in and out of the system, and crazies who push waiting riders onto the tracks when they get too close to the yellow line.

On New Year’s Eve, a man was pushed in front of a subway train. He somehow survived the experience with a broken skull. Subway stabbings have become so routine that there were two on New Year’s Day within 20 minutes. The next day an MTA employee was stabbed in the armpit. The only thing still distinguishing today’s subways from the worst days of the seventies and eighties is the lack of car-to-car graffiti that had become typical in that area.

The subway was always a metaphor for New York City. Its trains rushing between the depths of tunnels and the heights overlooking busy streets linked a bewildering city into one whole. Over a hundred years ago, Joyce Kilmer sketched the subway as a collection of “tired clerks, pale girls, street cleaners, business men, boys, priests and harlots, drunkards, students, thieves” thundering “through the dark”, but the balance of power has shifted away from the clerks, girls, boys and business men, over to the drunkards, thieves, along with the killers and the monsters.

The trouble with the subway, as with the city, is that some take it to go somewhere else, while others use it to take advantage of others. Overrun by criminals, homeless and migrants, the subway is no longer a transportation system, but a colony with a permanent population who form a gauntlet that the rest of us have to run in order to get to anywhere else in the city.

Measures like congestion pricing squeeze more people into a violent and dangerous system, but what makes it violent and dangerous is that it all too well reflects a fallen city. The fundamental difference between the city and all other forms of living is density. In towns and villages, the proportion of private space to public space is weighted toward the individual, but cities are all collective public spaces with a few small stacked private spaces in which we live.

Cities are built by utopians but populated by dystopias. The difference lies in the society. Unlike less dense communities, cities offer little refuge or escape from public spaces into private ones. New York City’s apartments are small even at their most expansive price points and the amount of single family housing continues to drop even assuming that anyone could afford a home.

A social breakdown in a city is felt immediately. When I returned during the pandemic, I could feel the changes in the tension in the air that told me nowhere in the city was safe anymore.

The subway, at its best a means of connecting the city’s varied neighborhoods that is unrivaled in the country and perhaps the world (although Londoners and Parisians may disagree) is wonderful for rapidly navigating the city’s cultural circulatory system, but when a society is poisoned, that same system just as rapidly spreads the poison everywhere that it can reach.

The New York City subway is why Los Angeles and other cities long resisted rapid public transportation, not just because of the cost, but to keep the bad elements from spreading. While other cities can gate off the worst of the problem, retreat to the suburbs and hope that tolls and the cost of car ownership can keep roaming maniacs at bay, there is no such defense here.

Like a heroin shot to the veins, whatever is in the city hits its subways first. Drugs, violence, terror, pain and fear travel along the lines. They roam the byzantine interiors of stations left over from the convoluted merging of the city’s different systems, they live in them and kill in them. The subway is a metaphor for the city. And the city is very, very sick.

If you doubt that, take the A train or the F train. Just listen, look and watch your back.

The Reality of Islam, Part VI

By Rich Kozlovich, Tags: Christian Persecution, Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV, Part V, , Persecution of Christians Is Now Pandemic, My Gazette: Christian Heresy, and

As the years go by it boggles my mind at these nitwit leftists and their media catspaws screaming about Islamophobia.  Let's try and get this once and for all.  There's no such thing as Islamophobia, nor is it possible to be Islamophobic.  Why? Because a phobia is a mental disorder and an unnatural fear, and we have almost 1500 years of vile Islamic practices to justify being afraid.  Real fear, legitimate fear, historically foundational fear, and that's not imaginary, nor is it a mental disorder, because their vile actions are going on right before our eyes now.  How much violence must we behold before we grasp just  how dangerous Muslims are?

Islam isn't a religion.  It's a criminal political movement masquerading as a religion.  History and current events demonstrates the truth of that.  Crime, murder, rape, kidnapping, corruption of the rule of law, and violence is rampant throughout the world where Muslims migrate, and most of Europe's leaders are covering it up, and worse yet, they're persecuting and prosecuting those who stand up to all this.  Islamized Netherlands: Pegida Leader Edwin Wagensveld Sentenced for Comparing Muslims to Nazis, and this is going on right now in America, and the Democrats are supporting it. What's worse is American churches are suicidally abandoning their Christian faith and heretically supporting this, with the support of a totally corrupt media.  Which makes one wonder if they were believers in the first place, and the same is true in Europe, Major Scandal Rocks the Italian Catholic Church: Bishops Accused of Funding Illegal Immigration.

The Islamization of Europe isn't a conspiracy theory, it's factual, it's history, that history is incontestable, and it's insane.

Islam has no concept of world peace until the world is converted to to Islam, preferably with the sword.  As a result, Islam has been at war with the rest of the world in varying degrees for almost 1500 years.   Any harmony that exists between Islam and any other nation or group in the world, is never anything except temporary, and it only exists to allow Islam to reorganize and attack once again.

Nor is there any harmony within Islam.

The foundational values of Islam are hate, greed, envy, lust, and violence.  And the only ones they hate more than kafir (non believers) are Muslims of different sects, as each sect considers the other sects heretics, and the Koran demands the death of heretics.

This is what Islam brings:

  1. Absolute authoritarianism without accountability.
  2. Zero tolerance for criticism or questions.
  3. Unreasonable fears about the outside world that often involve evil conspiracies and persecutions.
  4. A belief that former followers are always wrong for leaving and there is never a legitimate reason for anyone else to leave (apostasy is punishable by death).
  5. Followers feeling they are never able to be “good enough” (Muhammed is considered the “perfect man” and is to be emulated).
  6. A belief that the leader is right at all times (Muhammed is considered inerrant).
  7. A belief that the leader is the exclusive means of knowing “truth” or giving validation.

If someone tells you they hate you and wants kill you, and do it in the name of their religion, then you should believe them and must accept they really are barbarian savages.

"The barbarism of murdering women and children, taking them as hostages, and posting photos of their dead bodies to social media, is not a byproduct of Islamic warfare, it’s the whole point.

They're a medieval tribal culture with modern communications, transportation, and weapons, all of which means they must be contained and isolated, because they cannot, and will not, be assimilated.

Attorney General Kamala Harris Presided Over 64% Rise in Rapes

“Why is Kamala Harris working to provide early release for rapists?"   There is a story

By

There is a story that Kamala Harris likes to tell about why she became a prosecutor. Her friend was molested by her father and the young Kamala vowed to protect other women and girls. The pledge did not survive her relationship with Mayor Willie Brown, who was accused of covering up sexual harassment, her favorable plea deal for Mayor Bob ‘Filthy’ Filner who was accused by over 30 women of everything from groping them to putting them in headlocks, and alleged sexual harassment by a close associate in her office during her time as attorney general.

Harris would not be the first politician who did not practice what she preached. And there are politicians whose personal hypocrisies did not detract from their good management skills.

But what was life actually like for women and girls under Attorney General Kamala Harris?

In July 2016, a month after California’s rigged primary made Kamala a shoo-in for the Senate, the attorney general released a report warning of a 10% increase in violent crime.

Had the report come out earlier, it might have made California voters reconsider her qualifications for higher office. Donors might have been more reluctant to pile almost $10 million into her campaign war chest, more than 3 times that of her Latino Democrat rival and nearly 20 times that of the nearest Republicans who were entirely shut out of the one-party Senate election, had they known how badly crime was rising under her. But by then it was too late.

The report, which might have ended the career of another attorney general in a state with competitive elections, revealed that murders were up nearly 10%, hate crimes were up 10%, assaults on police officers were up 10%, and rapes were up 10%.

In California, presiding over a crime wave however qualified Kamala Harris for higher office.

If Kamala had truly become a prosecutor to protect women and girls, she was doing a poor job of it. A 10% increase in rapes was bad enough, but the numbers were even worse in context.

In 2010, when Kamala first ran for attorney general, there had been 8,325 rapes in the state. By 2016, when Kamala was fighting to take Sen. Barbara Boxer’s seat, there were 13,695 rapes.

This was not a 10% increase, but a shocking 64% increase.

> Kamala, who claimed to be crusading for women, had presided over the single largest increase in sexual assaults on women in the state in a generation. The 34.87 per 100,000 statewide rape statistic people put Kamala’s California well above the national average of 29.6.

Why was California so bad for women under Attorney General Kamala Harris?

Kamala Harris did not become a prosecutor to protect women, but to protect criminals. The 64% increase in rapes on her watch was a symptom of that larger problem. Alongside notorious Soros DAs like George Gascon, she led a rebrand of soft on crime policies as ‘smart on crime’. This would also become the title of her book arguing for keeping many criminals out of prison.

Among other things, ‘Smart on Crime’ meant cutting quick and easy plea deals while working as the DA in San Francisco to maintain the appearance of the high conviction rates that she would cite when running for attorney general. The plea deals that her office later cut statewide, including for her political ally Mayor Bob ‘Filthy’ Filner, cooked statistics by raising conviction rates and lowering prison populations to create the illusion that pro-crime policies worked.

By the time Attorney General Kamala Harris was ready to move on from the Senate, arrest rates had fallen to their lowest point since 1969 while violent crime soared. Even as violent crime rates increased, arrests continue to fall with catastrophic results for public safety in the state.

Did Kamala actually have any special feeling for women who had been sexually assaulted?

Proposition 57, one of the pro-crime propositions that ended public safety in the state backed by key donors who would prove crucial to her political career, offered a painfully stark choice.

The pro-crime proposition granted early release for criminals convicted of a crime not officially listed as a “violent felony.” That included not only many violent criminals, but also some rapists who committed different kinds of sexual assaults including ‘rape with a foreign object’.

Attorney General Harris had become notorious for abusing her position to write heavily distorted summaries for pro-crime propositions. And Proposition 57 was no different. The debate over Prop 57 provided Kamala the opportunity to stand with her pro-crime backers or with women.

And Kamala chose the pro-crime movement over abused women and girls.

“Is rape a violent crime? AG Kamala Harris offers two definitions,” a Sacramento Bee column noted.

“Why is Kamala Harris working to provide early release for rapists as more women have been raped in the past year?” Rep. Loretta Sanchez, her Democrat opponent in the Senate race, demanded. “It is outrageous that someone convicted of raping an unconscious woman would be considered non-violent and considered for early release. As a former sexual assault prosecutor she should know that rape is rape, there is not other way to describe it.”

The abuse of women and girls unleashed by Kamala’s pro-crime policies continue to haunt Californians today. Rapes continue to climb to new highs that were not seen even in the worst days of the seventies and eighties.

Attorney General Xavier Becerra, Kamala’s successor, was rewarded with the position of Health and Human Services Secretary in the Biden-Harris administration. His successor, Attorney General Rob Bonta, is expected to have a cabinet position in a Kamala administration. The current number of sexual assaults is nearly double what it was when Kamala first took office.

And Kamala’s revolving door for rapists has stayed open for even the worst monsters.

Earlier this year, Proposition 57 was set to free the murderer and rapist of an 8-year-old girl.

Madyson Middleton had been lured into AJ Gonzalez’s apartment with a promise of ice cream. Gonzalez duct taped her mouth shut, raped the child and then strangled her to death before tying her up in a garbage bag. She was still moving, so he then stabbed her to death.

Since Gonzalez was 15 years old at the time, he was sentenced to juvenile prison where he had a romantic relationship with a woman on the outside and served only 3 years in prison.

This was what had become of Kamala’s promise to protect women and girls.

“I prosecuted sex predators. Trump is one,” Kamala recently claimed. The truth was she didn’t prosecute sex predators, she enabled them.

Kamala claimed that she ran for office to protect women and girls. Instead she betrayed them.

FBI Fixed Massively Underreported Crime Stats – And Told Nobody

It seems Donald Trump was right all along about violent crime in America. By | Oct 18, 2024 @ Liberty Nation News, Tags: Articles, Opinion, Politics

FBI Fixed Massively Underreported Crime Stats – And Told Nobody

The FBI recently updated its 2022 violent crime stats, addressing what turned out to be a massive underreporting problem. Prior to this, former President Donald Trump had been fact-checked live during his debate against Vice President Kamala Harris for saying that violent crime was on the rise. He was ridiculed afterward and accused of either getting his information mixed up or flat-out lying. But now it seems Trump was right all along, so the progressive media must be falling all over itself to correct the record in the name of journalistic integrity and accurate reporting – or, at the very least, to wipe the egg off the industry’s face – right?

Not quite.

The FBI Was Silent – And So Was the Anti-Trump Media

First and foremost, credit must be given where it’s due. John R. Lott Jr., of RealClearInvestigations, was the first to discover and break the news. As he explained, the FBI originally released its “final” crime data for 2022 in September of 2023. At the time, it was reported that the overall violent crime rate had fallen by 2.1%. The Bureau dropped numbers in an October 16, 2023, press release, extolling a 6.1% drop in murders and a 5.4% drop in rapes compared to the previous year – remember this announcement, as it will become relevant soon enough. The Democratic Party and the left-wing media quickly seized it as a talking point. And why shouldn’t they? If true, it certainly makes it seem like the Biden-Harris administration had been cleaning up the streets, so to speak.

Cue the government revisions. As economic guru Andrew Moran has frequently reported for Liberty Nation News, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has been reporting impressive jobs numbers month over month, making the Biden administration look far more effective than the previous one – only to then quietly revise those numbers downward shortly after, revealing that, in fact, we are not enjoying a miraculous economic recovery after all. So perhaps it should come as no surprise to see the FBI significantly adjust its violent crime report upward.

The update shows that there were actually 80,029 more violent crimes reported to the FBI in 2022 than in 2021. This includes an increase of 1,699 murders, 7,780 rapes, 33,459 robberies, and 37,091 aggravated assaults. So, rather than decreasing by 2.1% in 2022, violent crime increased by 4.5% – a total discrepancy of 6.6%! Now, remember that detailed announcement in 2023? Here’s how the Bureau let everyone know that it had fixed an error in the most recent press release: “The 2022 violent crime rate has been updated for inclusion in CIUS, 2023.” After numbers like that … nothing?

Indeed, even the media continued the lie. As Lott explained in his report, a USA Today headline – published after the update – read: “Violent crime dropped for third straight year in 2023, including murder and rape.” CNN also ran a deceptive story that completely ignored this change. “New FBI statistics show continued drop in US crime in first six months of 2024,” read the September 30 headline. “Crime in the United States dropped throughout the first six months of 2024, according to preliminary figures released Monday by the FBI, continuing a trend in falling crime rates the bureau recently noted for 2023,” the introductory line reads. The self-declared “most trusted name in news” then went on to detail the drop in 2023 numbers over the previous year, but didn’t once mention 2022 directly or the amended stats at all. As Lott put it at the time his article was published, “It’s been over three weeks since the FBI released the revised data. The Bureau’s lack of acknowledgement or explanation about the significant change concerns researchers.”

How Did It Happen?

There are a number of factors that might explain why the FBI’s crime stats were so wrong to begin with. First, there has been a drop in policing nationwide. With fewer cops responding to calls, law enforcement has less crime to address and less to report to the FBI. As well, some crimes are chronically underreported. Rape and other forms of sexual assault, for example, often aren’t reported because the victim – for one reason or another – doesn’t want the exposure. To a lesser degree, robberies can face the same problem.

That doesn’t explain, however, how almost 1,700 extra murders were missed. Generally speaking, homicides tend to leave bodies lying around as evidence they occurred. Even if no suspect is ever arrested, if a body is found and murder is determined to be the cause of death, then law enforcement knows a crime has taken place.

Another potential answer to the “how!?” question is that the system simply fell apart. The FBI reportedly changed the way it tracks violent crime in 2021. That led to the FBI never receiving data from many law enforcement agencies. The FBI is suspected to be missing data from about a fifth of local agencies. Also contributing to the underreporting issue is the fact the Bureau doesn’t count 911 calls – so without these local departments reporting, the federal numbers were bound to be incorrect, and the Bureau knew it.

It calls into question the validity of the 2023 numbers as well. Can that decrease in violent crime be trusted, or will it turn out just as bad? Perhaps the bigger question is, can the FBI be trusted in general? The Bureau was outed for lying about the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. Christopher Wray admitted that they messed up the Trump-Russia probe. Then, going further back, there were the two anti-Trump agents that drew the Bureau into controversy, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.

Is the Deep State still out to get Trump? To answer yes or no to that question would be pure speculation. However, it is telling that these executive agencies keep getting the data wrong in a way that makes President Biden look good, only to fix those errors later but not tell anyone. Note that no announcement came from the FBI, no media corrections followed, and none of the so-called fact-checkers amended their reports or apologized to the former president. What we do know, however, is that Trump was right all along: Violence has increased under the Biden-Harris administration.

The Issue is the Revolution

By @ Sultan Knish Blog

“There is only one solution, intifada revolution,” mobs of college students chant at terror rallies.

What is there to ‘revolt’ against in New York City, Los Angeles or Chicago? The Hamas rallies like the BLM, environmentalist and other radical rallies take place in cities run by mayors and city councils who support their efforts and sometimes even show up to their events.

Even before New York City and other municipalities paid out millions in voluntary settlements to the BLM rioters who had assaulted police officers, the dirty secret of the radical mobs was that the authorities were on their side. And will continue to be on their side no matter what they do.

The revolution is also the thing that it’s revolting against.

Democrats secured control of the country’s major cities only to be faced with the timeless leftist challenge of making the intensification of their rule look like revolution rather than totalitarianism. The USSR and Cuba directed the ‘revolution’ outward by invading, conquering and intervening in other countries. Democrat cities nationalized their politics, building entire campaigns around Trump, abortion and (to their eventual regret) declaring themselves to be sanctuary cities.

As long as Republicans existed anywhere, urban Democrats could not sleep soundly at night.

Democrat control of cities and states didn’t end bipartisan politics, just turned it into a somewhat real and somewhat fake grudge match between the party’s really crazy and less crazy wings. Craziness was a variable like ‘X’ that was defined not by the common sense brakes of intellectual diversity, but by how far the really crazy wing could push the less crazy wing.

In 2010, open borders, freeing all the criminals, men pretending to be women and support for Hamas were fringe positions of the really crazy wing. By 2024, they’re Democrat positions.

The difference between the really crazy wing and the merely crazy wing is not that they have fundamentally different beliefs, but different tactics and comfort zones. It didn’t take long for the next generation to come home for winter breaks and win over the Democrat moms and dads to police defunding, drag queen story hour and the mass murder of Jews. But first the cultural establishment had to make these horrifying things seem respectable and normal.

Had to fit banning cars and Hamas on a lawn sign right under “in this house, love is love”.

What will the really crazy wing of the party normalize next? Check the academic calendar for the next year, social media for the year after and then the protest calendar for the next five years.

The ‘revolution’ is just about the radicals running the streets getting the feckless ex-liberals running the actual show to adopt some horrendous policy derived from the ravings of a 19th century philosopher and then given a glow up by activist academics and public intellectuals.

Classic town hall politics, limited constitutional government, and checks and balances in a bipartisan system would have prevented American cities from turning into the Paris Commune, but urban politics had made a rapid transition from Tammany Hall political machines to corporate consultants to Marxist struggle sessions with little democracy to be found in any of it.

Cities aren’t run by voters but by ‘stakeholders’. Lifelong community activists and their community groups, municipal unions and their members, and a few political clubs harvest ballots, turn out votes and then end up running cities. That 1% actually runs our lives.

A new generation of young radical activists with dot com money backing and social media savvy like AOC found it easy enough to harness the power of hipster grad students living in $3K a month walkups to disrupt the system and carve out their own extremist slice of the pie.

The new red guard, like the old, however had to find something to do besides stealing money.

The lofty promises of universal health care require more money than is available even if the wings of the old crazy party and the new really crazy party stopped stealing all the money. Defunding the police by moving money from law enforcement to their leftist activist social allies is easier. And a good pogrom against Jewish stores and synagogues is a great distraction.

The revolution isn’t about killing Jews (or not just about killing Jews) but wiping out entire classes of people, reactionaries, shopkeepers and whoever else ended up in the killing fields of Siberia, Guangxi and Choeung Ek for the power and profit of a rising new political elite.

The less crazy party thinks it will never have to come to that, but as with its views on men showering with girls or exposing schoolchildren to violent pornography, this is subject to change.

Life as an urban/suburban bourgeoise with regular stops at Starbucks, Crate and Barrel, and Whole Foods before charging the Tesla in the driveway is pretty comfortable, but being a pol commissar with a dacha in the Outer Banks and the power to gulag your enemies might just be better. All of that will require not just one revolution but a cycle of intermittent revolutions.

The causes matter less than the trajectory. One day it’s the police, the next day it’s car owners and then it’s the Jews. (Say what you will, but the Jews are always a popular one.) The issue, as a certain Marxist once said, is never the issue, the issue is always the revolution.

Causes provide narratives. Berkeley professors and Wall Street personal assistants who have no idea where the river or the sea may be are chanting for the destruction of Israel because it’s a nice change of pace. Like all of us, leftists like to feel that they’re growing as people by embracing new murderous causes. Freeing all the criminals didn’t work so well, but freeing all the terrorists to kill Jewish people thousands of miles away feels both heroic and safe.

But the exoticism of chanting for an “intifada” boils down to a call for revolution here and now.

Students for Justice in Palestine tweeted that the ultimate purpose of the anti-Israel BDS movement is “eradicate America as we know it.” Eradicating America as we know it might seem a bit off-putting to the suburban soy dads and wine moms who make up the middle class base of the party, but they’ll come around just like they did on turning Tim into Tammy and Tammy into Tim. What else are they going to do anyway: become Republicans and have people sneer at them in Whole Foods and risk their kids refusing to come home for the holidays?

The revolution is about eradicating America as we know it. A lot of it’s gone already, but there’s still plenty of work of destruction to be done until we’re all on the right side of history. Or dead.

Revolution is all about being on the right side of history. And the revolution consists of old liberals who are terrified of being on the wrong side of it, stammering their way through pronouns and handling popular critical race theory texts like they were the sacred scriptures of a religion they don’t believe in, and young radicals certain that they are on the right side of it.

But ‘revolution’ is also just dictatorship misspelled. As George Orwell wrote in 1984, “One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship.” The dictatorship in urban and sub Democrat areas is already here.

The stream of monthly revolutions make the deepening totalitarianism, the higher confiscatory taxes, the daily government scrutiny of everything from trash content to social media posts (in cities where violent muggings earn thugs no more than a free therapy session) and the ideology tests for employment, seem like liberation. But that’s what the Russians called it too.

Each revolution makes us more enslaved and less free. We are not free to walk the streets, not free to think for ourselves and not free to even work for a living. We are however free to protest.

But only as long as it’s for the revolution of the political machine taking away all our freedoms.

The issue isn’t drug dealers shot while assaulting police officers. It’s not Israel. It’s not oil or illegals. Those are just the levers which make the dictatorships running our lives more extreme. They are also how those dictatorships pretend that there’s a vibrant system of political dissent.

The issue is not the issue. The issue is that the fake revolutions are a tyranny. The issue is that we have become the slaves of a system that keeps promising to liberate us from our freedoms.

The issue is that we cannot go on living this way.
