The UK, The 2024 Election, and The Collapse.

When the last election ended in the EU on June 30, 2024 I made a lot of observations, and predictions, (make sure to follow that link as there's much more there) which included my thoughts on the EU, France, Germany, the Nordic nations, and the UK, where-in I stated the Tories were going to be wiped out, and they were, and for all the right reasons,which I listed in that article.

So, why did the Brits vote in Labour instead of the Reform Party?   

Data Shows Farage’s Reform Supporters Are Actually The Only Ones NOT ‘Protest Voting.’ Polling data on the July general election in Britain reveals that most voters who voted for the Labour Party did so to get the Conservatives out of power, while those who voted for Nigel Farage's Reform Party did so because they actually believed in the party's positions.

I said with the Labour party taking over, believing their own press that they had a mandate, they would push all the far left agendas regarding energy, globalism, global warming, green agenda, immigration, their insane fight against Islamophobia, while Muslims are raping, robbing, and murdering innocent Brits, in total disregard for the rights of the Brits.  They're promoting antisemitism, transgenderism, anti capitalist economics, and it wouldn't be long before this far left government would destroy the UK economically, which was predicted, socially, culturally, and philosophically, and all of this would soon outrage the Brits.  And it's happening.

And of course as with all leftists, nothing is ever their fault, as Starmer Blames Brexit for Turning Britain Into ‘Open Borders Experiment’.

This far left insanity isn't sitting well with a lot of Brits, and the contamination fills the entire structure of British governance.  There Will Not Always Be an England:

For many people, the nation-state is no longer the primary identity, but international relations are still based on Westphalian norm of theoretically sovereign states. And yet, today’s political orthodoxy requires that Western states be for everyone.....who control it force you to live under their tribal preferences even in “your own country.”

Working-class whites recently rioted in Britain after a Rwandan murdered three white girls. The Labour government and allied journalists seemed far less angry about the murders than about the riots......the government has arrested more than a thousand people, charged hundreds, and already sentenced some.  Prime Minister Keir Starmer harshly denounced the rioters and showed no sympathy for their concerns...[the] government..... pledged to empty prisons. However, after the riots, the government has captured, tried, and convicted its enemies with remarkable speed. Many did not even riot.

Judge Francis Rafferty said that even those who just watched a riot will be refused bail..... The same judge sent a man to prison for eight weeks for posting messages with images of Asians men, along with the message, “coming to a town near you.” The same judge spared a man who downloaded “indecent child images” because he supposedly showed “remorse.

On December 7th, 2024, Eric Utter published this piece on American Thinker, The ‘Second Battle Of Britain', saying:

Britain is slipping away. The progenitor of the free world, the United States included, is barely recognizable these days. Lack of reverence for life and an equally troubling tolerance for extreme antisemitism have combined with an almost total intolerance for those who oppose these evils to cast a malevolent pall over the U.K. 

It is not only life and Judaism that are threatened. Christianity is increasingly under assault, as well. The English Football Association (EFA) recently issued a ‘warning’ to one of its players for having the temerity to write “I Love Jesus” over his league-mandated rainbow flag armband. Meanwhile, another league player, who is a practicing Muslim, flatly refused to wear the rainbow armband altogether…with nary a complaint from the same association.

 In related news, a Catholic woman from Northern Ireland was recently convicted of praying in a ‘buffer zone’ outside an abortion mill. Convicted of praying. (She’s probably lucky she didn’t get life in prison, as she also held up a pro-life sign.)

He ends his commentary with these words:

 If it does not, somewhere, Churchill may be heard to utter, “Never in the field of human conflict have so many so cravenly surrendered to so few.”

If Winston Churchill was alive today, and saying the things he said then, he'd be in jail.   But Starmer thinks the UK should have a strong relationship with Communist China, and no one wants to put him in jail.  If he was alive and said this absolutely accurate description of what Islam brings to the world, all of the UK would have broken out in massive waves of violence:

“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die. But the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytising faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science - the science against which it had vainly struggled - the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.”

I also stated that Farage's Reform Party would be come ascendant.  Well, that's happening also.

One more thing. Now that North Africa is facing a massive six year drought, and the many years of mismanagement, corruption, and a general round of incompetence of their governments, these nations are in trouble dealing with their food needs, all of which has been exacerbated by the Russo/Ukraine War as Ukraine was a major supplier of grain to Europe , Africa, and the Middle East.  Immigration issues are going to become even more pronounced. 

Let's add Ireland to this mix since the Irish are committing genocide against themselves. and it's difficult to understand Ireland's antisemitic foolishness, and they're not alone among European nations, and take notice no matter what western nation these Muslims invade violence and rape follows like night follows day.

Culture is King! Even When the Culture is Insane!

For days I've read unending diatribes as to why Kamala lost the election, with a lot of excuses, and a lot of finger pointing.  I was Biden's fault because he didn't drop out soon enough, or even chose to run in the first place. It was George Clooney's  fault because....well.... I'm not quite sure why he was blamed, but the excuses, accusations, and finger pointing didn't end there. 

On Monday J.B. Shurk published this article, No Wake for the Woke saying:

Democrats will learn nothing from their electoral drubbing.  If they were capable of self-reflection and intellectual growth, they would not need “safe spaces” or social media platforms dedicated to mass censorship.  When you are so afraid of dissent that you feel psychologically compelled to label all contrary opinions as “hate speech,” you are not a fully functioning adult willing to process new information and adapt accordingly.... Democrat operatives tell their dwindling viewing audience that they lost the election because of “disinformation,” racism, and misogyny.  Americans are just too “stupid” and “deplorable” to be trusted with the vote.  The country is a MAGA junkyard filled with “garbage” human beings.  

And they think that was the perfect campaign?   The author goes on to say:

If anyone is to blame for her loss, the formaldehyde femmes explain, it is the news media.  “Journalists” should have used all their airtime reminding Americans that President Trump is “literally Hitler.”  You see, America, Democrats didn’t lose because they’re stark raving mad!  They lost because of bad “messaging”! 

Actually, the unending vilification of Trump was pretty much what the media did, .  But they just don't get it, and as strange as it seems, they seem to actually believe all the clabber they spew out.  Not only that, they're going to double down with what they believe is their '“winning” policy agenda!"

More illegal immigration, less crime control, more expensive energy, less drilling for oil, more spending and borrowing, more inflation, more DEI, more gender bending, a further diminished and capable military, more violations of constitutional rights by the DOJ, FBI, less secure retirement funding, and always remembering, .....censorship is free speech.  

So now what are we seeing from these people?

• The U.S. State Department decided to fund “therapy and listening sessions” for heartbroken employees (so much for the notion that our spies and diplomats are made of sterner stuff).  
• Stephen Colbert and other overpaid late-night “comedians” have turned their shows into group counseling services for damaged Democrats unable to accept Kamala Harris’s loss.  
• Meathead Rob Reiner, who confidently predicted Kamala’s victory on Election Day, is so distraught that he has checked himself into a mental health facility.  
• News organizations are so distressed over their loss of influence that overrated “journalists” take turns screaming at the public for having rejected their pro-Harris talking points.  
• Joy Reid and other mentally unstable hosts on MSNBC are warning Democrats to cut off communications with their Trump-supporting relatives.   
• Democrat teachers owing list of post-election incidents that includes terrorizing students
•  Democrat doctors threatening patients, 
• Democrat psychiatrists conspiring to harm Trump voters, Democrats working to bankrupt Trump-supporting businesses, 
• Democrats divorcing their Trump-voting spouses, 
• Democrats threatening or committing acts of violence against MAGA Americans.
  

He concludes his article by saying:

This much is certain: people this psychologically unstable are not survivors.  They cannot endure conflict.  Hell, they can’t even endure intellectual debate.  They need censorship and “safe spaces” to avoid melting into an emotional puddle.  Democrats will not control the future because they can barely control themselves. 

Hollywood is filled with people living in a hermetically sealed bug house.

DeNiro and other once-favored celebs are in serious need of psychological counseling, only the counselors are probably as troubled as they.  Dick Van Dyke would rather die than suffer another four years with Trump as President.  In years gone by he acknowledged he had, and possibly still has, a serious drinking problem.  It appears it's true, overindulgence in alcohol destroys brain cells. 

There are two characters I really want to highlight, I should say two nitwits, the Meathead, and Ellen DeGeneres.   Eric Utter posted this article, Meathead Wrestles With TDS quoting the self important Reiner:

“I have big decisions to make. For the good of myself, my family, and my country.”......“Ellen DeGeneres whom I have known a long time and is a beautiful and caring woman had the right idea. She obviously does not want to be a part of a place that is filled with hate, evil and fascism. Much respect to her for standing up to madness.”.....I have made the decision to take the next few days to check into a facility for peace and relaxation. No phones, social media, no trolls, just calmness to heal my pain.”

He's checking himself into a facility?  Sounds more like a mental institution filled with psychologically challenged people (Reiner's normal environment) surrounded by people in white coats administering emotion calming drugs.  To me this sounds more like all those around him did an intervention letting him know he sounds like he's losing his mind, as little as there may be there. 

Then there's Ellen DeGeneres who says she can't stand living in such a hateful fascist America under Trump any longer.  So, now they're living in England, a nation that will tax that 400 million she's worth massively.  Which is a good thing since a record number of millionaires are all set to flee Britain over looming labour tax raids.  And if she's under the impression she can shoot off her mouth there as she does here, then she's in for a visit from Britain's Thought Police.  Then of course there's this very real potential:

".....become victims of England’s burgeoning Muslim male extremist population which is sexually assaulting and stabbing women at an unprecedented rate. But doing so without hate, and in a non-evil and entirely antifascist way!"

Ya just gotta see the humor in that, but having said all that, I think Ellen should be congratulated and encouraged and get all of her celebrity friends to follow her.  And to really show us how seriously they all take this, they should all give up their American citizenship.

That'll fix us. 

Oh, I just had a thought.  Where will Ellen go next since Britain is getting ready to dump the recently.... very recently....... elected labour party, which stands for everything Ellen loves, when they elect a Trump of their own?

 

Democrats lost by overly orchestrating anti-Trump efforts

Nancy Pelosi got blamed for top-down “orchestration,” but the Cabal was broader than that

The primary reasons voters elected Donald Trump over Kamala Harris and chose a Republican Congress were Joe Biden and the Democrats’ miserable handling of the economy, immigration and foreign policy – and their embrace of far-left “woke” polices, like sex-change operations for prisoners and other “transgender rights.”

However, the Democrat “strategy” of hitting Trump with multiple indictments, tagging him and his supporters as “existential threats to democracy,” and scaring women over abortion rights after the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision may also have backfired, because these efforts were really designed to deflect attention from the harmful impacts of Biden’s bad policies and actions.

Topping it off, when he was pushed off the ticket for Vice President Kamala Harris in July, many voters may have smelled a rat. In essence, all of this was masterminded by a few political chieftains, notably former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), House Whip James Clyburn (D-SC), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and probably the Obamas, Clintons and their “strategists.”

Indeed, on MSNBC November 9, former Harris spokesperson and one-time Bernie Sanders operative Symone Sanders-Townsend (no relation to the senator), mouthed off against Pelosi, saying she    “orchestrated the very public demise of the president. And thank God for Joe Biden, that he came out and, yes, endorsed his VP. Pelosi is known for being “calculated,” she went on to say, but “where is her calculator now?”

The key words here are “orchestration” and “calculating.” One could say “None dare call it conspiracy,” or resurrect then-First Lady Hillary Clinton’s 1998 phrase “vast right-wing conspiracy” that “has been conspiring against my husband since the day he announced for president.” 

Ms. Clinton was denounced for calling it a “conspiracy.” In reality, a group of conservative activists and publications did continue an “opposition research” campaign against President Bill Clinton from the day he was elected in 1992, to persuade Congress and courts to investigate him, impeach him and undermine his presidency.

It didn’t really work. Like Donald Trump, Bill Clinton was impeached, but he resurrected himself, while Hillary went on to become a US Senator from New York and Secretary of State – and came close to defeating Trump for president in 2016.

The vast-left wing orchestration against Trump, however, was much more intricate, extensive and orchestrated than what conservatives used to tarnish Clinton. For example:

• Advancing the phony “Russiagate” scandal, at the highest levels of government
• Supporting and glorifying the “mostly peaceful” “Resistance” against the Trump presidency
• Instigating the 2019 House impeachment
• Demanding school and business lockdowns during the Covid pandemic, to hurt the economy and President Trump
• Supporting and capitalizing on the George Floyd riots
• Perpetuating “January 6” investigations, hearings, indictments and media coverage
• Promoting fear and hysteria following the Dobbs decision and various state limitations on abortion
• Pushing challengers out of the 2020 primaries to anoint Joe Biden (South Carolina Congressman James Clyburn’s “masterstroke”)
• Preventing a competitive 2024 primary against Biden
• Holding a Biden-Trump debate after primaries had ended, to see how President Biden would perform – and then forcing him off the ticket because he bombed
• Coronating Kamala Harris after Biden was ousted

Many are convinced that all these schemes were orchestrated by the Cabal of Pelosi, Schumer, the Obamas, the Clintons, and their strategists. Perhaps they wanted Biden to be the 2020 nominee, instead of independent-minded people like Senators Amy Klobuchar or Elizabeth Warren, or outsiders like Pete Buttigieg or Michael Bloomberg, because they knew they could manipulate Biden more easily.

However, Joe Biden was never a leader in the US Senate; he was a follower. He does little thinking for himself, but makes decisions based on the advice of bureaucrats, political aides and special interests. He largely approved all the big-spending legislation and regulatory initiatives the Democrats and his Obama-holdover aides wanted when they regained control of Congress after 2020. And he opened the nation’s borders to salve the bleeding hearts of his policy wonks.

“Joe Biden is nothing more than a Trojan horse for the radical socialists,” former Vice President Mike Pence warned in 2020. In the end, that radicalism doomed the Democrats in 2024.

In anointing Biden “The Nominee” during the 2020 primaries, octogenarians Clyburn and Pelosi looked over Biden’s eroding cognitive abilities. When he inevitably became a liability to the Democratic cause, they orchestrated his departure from the ticket for the younger Harris. They also engaged in incessant “lawfare,” Trump indictments and January-6 investigations.

Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich suggested the Democrats should have focused “on one or two” charges against Trump, not four, and the indictments “will backfire on the Left.”  But The Cabal apparently wanted to extend the Trump-tarnishing so that there would be no trial before the GOP nominating process, thereby giving Republicans little opportunity to nominate someone else.

Prolonging the 1/6 congressional investigation into the 2022 elections was an effort to tarnish not just Trump, but his supporters. Biden’s unforgivable September 2022 speech in Philadelphia, when he attacked “MAGA Republicans” for being disloyal to America, was part and parcel of this effort

The media covered up the Cabal’s intrigues. Anyone who watches CNN or MSNBC has seen how Adam Schiff, Jamie Raskin, Pelosi, Clyburn and other leading Democrats are treated with kid gloves. The media hated Trump for calling them “fake news” and colluded with the Democrats nearly every step of the way.

It’s unlikely that Symone Sanders-Townsend will come clean on all of this, though our nation would benefit greatly from the disinfecting sunshine she could provide. Regardless, it seems highly unlikely that the Democrats can change their stripes, because their base and big donors have gone Loony-Left.

The Cabal probably thought throwing all those indictments and civil penalties at Trump would make him crack and cop a plea with the prosecutors. But Trump had the money and backbone to slug it out. He also had excellent lawyers, who mucked up the lawfare wheels. Essentially, he ran the clock out on the Democrats.

There’s a lesson here about being “overzealous” in politics. Jerome Lawrence coauthored the 1955 play (and 1960 film) “Inherit the Wind,” which examined extremism in “the Scopes monkey trial,” as a metaphor for the McCarthy investigations. Lawrence wrote: “Is it possible to be overzealous, to destroy that which you hope to save – so that nothing is left but emptiness?”

With Trump wining a near landslide despite the criminal cases – and taking the Congress – it seems all the Democrat orchestrations left them nothing but emptiness.

Donald Trump’s victory on November 5th has inspired hope in many, and self-absorbed meltdowns in others. As to meltdowns, I’m more interested in reactions OTHER than the obviously rehearsed histrionic performances that have been all over social media. Somehow, the prospect of “I think I’m going to have a breakdown, but first let me log into TikTok, so I can record it for posterity,” doesn’t exactly ring sincere.

Consider Allan Lichtman. Lichtman’s "13 Keys to the White House" was originally developed in 1981, and is claimed to have predicted nine of the last eleven presidential elections. Lichtman missed in 2000 and famously in 2024. People—including Cenk Uygur—heavily criticized Lichtman for his Harris prediction, and Lichtman went nuts on live TV, accusing Uygur of “blasphemy,” and noting that he didn’t need Uygur to call him “stupid.” Evidently not, since many others had already done just that.

In the matter of the 2000 election, Lichtman waffled by saying that he DID predict the popular vote—as if that matters. In short, he is not a gracious loser.

The 13 keys model utilizes the following precepts:

1. Party mandate: After the midterm elections, the incumbent party holds more seats in the US House of Representatives than after the previous midterm elections.  Advantage: Republicans

2. Contest: There is no serious contest for the incumbent party nomination.  Argumentative. Biden won the primaries, but to no avail.

3. Incumbency: The incumbent party candidate is the sitting president.  Neither

4. Third party: There is no significant third party or independent campaign. Not a factor

5. Short term economy: The economy is not in recession during the election campaign. Controversial, but advantage to the Dems

6. Long term economy: Real per capita economic growth during the term equals or exceeds mean growth during the previous two terms.  Advantage: Republicans

7. Policy change: The incumbent administration effects major changes in national policy.  Given Ukraine and Afghan wars, Advantage: Republicans

8. Social unrest: There is no sustained social unrest during the term.  Advantage: Dems

9. Scandal: The incumbent administration is untainted by major scandal.  Given that Biden was effectively kicked out, Advantage: Republicans

12. Incumbent charisma: The incumbent party candidate is charismatic or a national hero.  Advantage: Republicans

13. Challenger charisma: The challenging party candidate is not charismatic or a national hero. Advantage: Republicans 

If eight or more of the 13 keys are true for the incumbent party, its candidate will win the election—but if fewer than eight are true, the challenger will win.  Any way you slice it, the willfully blind Lichtman violated his own guidelines, and amazingly blamed his failure on an explosion of “disinformation”—in effect blaming the voters. Uygur, to his credit, criticized Lichtman for this condescending point of view.

But then, this idea of blaming the consumer for the failure of a product is not exactly new. In the wake of its many recent Star Wars and Marvel box office disasters, this has been the go-to strategy for Disney. One wonders just how big a bomb the live action remake of Snow White will be. Will anyone at the House of Mouse admit to being the brains behind hiring the insufferable Rachel Zegler?

As far as I can tell, blaming the consumer dates back to the failure of Sony’s Betamax video cassette format, versus VHS. At the time, purists rightly noted that Betamax had better quality, but did not reckon with the longer available recording time offered by VHS. In the early days, recording time was a factor, since the media were expensive. However, that all changed, but not before Beta disappeared due to lack of sales.

At any rate, Beta versus VHS had nowhere near the arrogant “blame the idiot consumer” vibe. It would take 30 or more years for such self-aggrandizement to develop among the elite.

That’s why the most important aspect of Trump’s victory could be the permanent deflation of the elite and the “expert” class. God knows, they’ve caused enough destruction to last several generations. From Robert McNamara’s idiotic fallacy, to Tony Fauci’s mendacious “Give us two weeks to flatten the curve,” these geniuses have had their mettle tested, and have come up snake eyes.

Voters Just Didn't Understand! Really?

In the days following Donald Trump’s historic landslide win of both the electoral and popular votes, recapturing the Senate and keeping the House, it was fun listening to Democrat pundits dissect why their party lost. Many have no clue. For instance, when a Democrat in good standing says/writes that the party moved too far to the radical woke left, that person is attacked. A key reason Americans tossed out the jackass “Demonrat” party is because since January 20, 2021:

• Overall costs have risen 19.9%
• Overall food and gas risen 22.3%
• Overall shelter has risen 23%
• Overall energy has risen 29.4%
• Between 10 and 20 MILLION illegal alien invaders entered the USA 
  
• Plus, the year-over-year increases in fentanyl/other drug deaths due to the open southern border. hearing

The Harris campaign spent $1.2 BILLION, and still ended in debt!

The Harris/Walz campaign had $1.2 BILLION to spend on their campaign and they reportedly ended up $20 MILLION in debt. The $1.2 BILLION was raised in less than four months, giving the vice president of word salads twice as much money as the Trump campaign.

When it came to staff salaries, the Harris campaign outspent Trump’s campaign six-to-one.

Americans now have a good idea as how some of the $1.2 BILLION was spent. Let’s start with celebrity endorsements. Harris had to PAY big bucks for many leftist celebrities to interview her or appear at her rally. (Donald Trump didn’t need celebrities at his rallies. If any came, they received ZILCH.) As to Kamala Harris:

Oprah Winfrey, worth $3 BILLION, had her Harpo Productions charge the Harris campaign $1 MILLION for her to interview Ms. Word Salad.

Cardi B was paid $2.5 MILLION.

• Beyonce (who did NOT sing even one song) was reportedly paid much more. < $100,000 was spent to recreate the “Call Her Daddy” podcast set in a Los Angeles hotel room since Harris didn’t want to fly to New York where the show is filmed.
• Al Sharpton’s National Action Network received two donations totaling $500,000 prior to Harris’s October 20 MSNBC interview with him.
• According to The New York Times, six figures were spent flying banners over four NFL October games. 
• According to The Guardian, ads were displayed on the Las Vegas Sphere for several days at $450,000 per day. 
• Harris/Walz held a seven swing-state $20 MILLION concert on election eve (November 4). The event featured performances by Jon Bon Jovi in Detroit, Christina Aguilera in Las Vegas, Katy Perry in Pittsburgh and Lady Gaga in Philadelphia. Two days before (November 2), 2 Chainz joined Harris for a concert in Atlanta. The New York Post reports that Obama campaign staffers Stephanie Cutter and David Plouffe believed the money spent on these concerts would encourage lower-propensity voters to show up at the polls. Hmmm, how about lowering the costs of food, clothing and shelter?

Patriot Neighbors would have reached out for comment, but we assumed many celebrities were at the airport leaving the United States.

And Kamala Harris wanted to be the chief executive in charge of our nation’s finances. Gulp!

Bob Casey and PA Democrats Flout the Law to Reverse Election Loss

Surrogates for the ousted incumbent want illegal ballots included in the Senate race recount.

He refused to accept the outcome of an election and decided that he was not prepared to hand over his office to the man who beat him at the ballot box. And so, he and his associates decided that, by whatever means possible, they would find enough votes to reverse the result of that election. Is this about Donald Trump in November of 2020? No, this is about Democrat Bob Casey in 2024.

Casey, who was running for his fourth term as Pennsylvania senator, was defeated by his Republican challenger, David McCormick. When the Associated Press called the race for McCormick on Nov. 7, the margin of votes separating the two candidates was slim. The Republican was leading Bob Casey by about 26,000 votes. The call in favor of McCormick was made on the determination that, of the votes still to be counted, not enough of them were from precincts favoring the incumbent, and there was little to no chance that Casey would overcome the deficit. As AP put it, there “were not enough in areas supporting Casey for him to make up the difference.”

Nevertheless, the senator refused to concede. The result, as it stood, was within a one-half of one percentage point difference, and, in accordance with state law, that triggered a recount.

Nothing much to see here so far, right? A very close race goes to a recount. This was certainly not a first. The problem – and it could turn into a legal one for Democrats – is which ballots are being included in the recount. Prior to the Nov. 5 election, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that incorrectly dated or undated ballots could not be counted. However, Bucks County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia has announced that the ballots ruled ineligible by the Supreme Court will now be counted.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has a Democrat majority.

Bob Casey Has Friends in All the Right Places

Ellis-Marseglia was endorsed by Bob Casey when she ran for the office of commissioner. She reportedly donated to Casey’s re-election campaign. Her justification for disregarding a state Supreme Court ruling? “[B]ecause I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country and people violate laws anytime they want. So for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention to it.”

What the commissioner meant by that is open to interpretation. And certainly, she is not speaking for all Democrats. Ellis-Marseglia has come under fire by members of her own party in the Keystone State. Nevertheless, the commissioner is openly admitting that she is willing to disregard state law – and clearly, in this case, she is doing so because she believes or suspects that enough ineligible ballots can be counted to overturn the election result in favor of Bob Casey.

Give Cable TV the Boot – Check This Out!

When Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer invited freshman senators to Washington, DC, for orientation, he did not initially extend an invite to McCormick.

Pennsylvania Republican Party Chair Lawrence Tabas declared, “What’s taking place in these counties is absolute lawlessness.” Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley took to X, stating, “Let’s be clear about what’s happening here: Democrats in Pennsylvania are brazenly trying to break the law by attempting to count illegal ballots. They are doing this because they want to steal a senate seat.” And it seems Republicans are not the only ones who think so.

As Fox News reported Monday, November 18:

“The state Supreme Court reaffirmed its prior decision in a 4–3 ruling Monday that counties cannot count incorrectly dated or undated ballots. The decision singled out the Boards of Elections in Bucks County, Montgomery County, and Philadelphia County, whom they said ‘SHALL COMPLY with the prior rulings of this Court in which we have clarified’ for mail-in and absentee ballots in their Nov. 1 ruling.”

This ruling prompted Pennsylvania’s Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro to finally weigh in on the matter. He said “Any insinuation that our laws can be ignored or do not matter is irresponsible and does damage to faith in our electoral process… The rule of law matters in Pennsylvania. … It is critical for counties in both parties to respect it with both their rhetoric and their actions.”

Lost Causes and Election Deniers

The recount will run through Nov. 26, with the result expected to be announced the following day. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reporting on the contested race, observed, “Recounts that have changed the result of a statewide election are exceptionally rare. Of the 6,929 statewide election recounts across the country between 2000 and 2023, only three resulted in the trailing candidate coming out ahead, according to an analysis by the election-focused nonprofit FairVote.”

The paper added, “The four automatic recounts that have taken place in Pennsylvania during that time have all confirmed the leading candidates’ victories.” By most accounts, Bob Casey has nothing more than the slimmest chance of prevailing in the recount.

Casey could have conceded. He could have waived the recount that, by various estimates, will cost the taxpayers of Pennsylvania between one and two million dollars. Instead, the senator and those who are backing him in his likely hopeless fight to keep his seat have decided to commit what so many elected Democrats at the federal level have declared a cardinal sin. Then again, this is by no means the first example of certain high-profile Democrats taking the position that election results cannot be disputed – unless they lose.

Snatching Defeat Out of the Jaws of Victory

 No one does it better than the Republicans

This was a cartoon that appeared this week, and it really says it all, but I'm going to do a bit of history and analysis anyway, since we now know McConnell won via John Thune. 

There was a lot of CO2 wasted this week over who the GOP leaders in the Senate would be in the next Congressional term.  The House chose to keep Johnson as Speaker, and Thune as the Majority Leader in the Senate.  

It took only two secret votes in for the GOP to pick Thune, who beat out Cornyn with a vote of 29 votes to 24, and Scott who scored third in the first round of voting, and was out of the running.

Think about this, and I'm going to make an assumption here, if Cornyn got 24 votes in the second round of voting, it seems to me that means Scott had to have had 11 or less votes in the first round.  Out of 53 Republican Senators 11 or less voted for the one who had a history of  being on Trump's side. 

That left the two big McConnell RINO's, which I think is telling, and McConnell's number two man, John Thune won, who for years supported everything Ole Mitch wanted to do, or not do as the case may have been, and while he didn't vote to impeach Trump, there's a huge negative history between he and Trump.   Are we to believe he's going to be all warm and fuzzy now with his claim of being anxious to implement Trump's agenda?  You would think that would be most telling for the GOP, but apparently not.  I'll tell you what, we'll come back to that.  

Let's start with John Cornyn, who came in second with the Senate GOP:

RINO Senator John Cornyn, who’s been deeply involved in a left-wing “disinformation” group that uses the old Russia, Russia, Russia nonsense to run a so-called foreign disinformation department. Elon Musk suspects it’s actually a front to control social media behind the scenes, and he’s probably right......[he wasn't] just a gun-grabbing liberal in Republican clothes..........he’s so much more than that. Not only does he feverishly push the left’s agenda, but he’s also working behind the scenes to help run left-wing “disinformation” groups.............

And he was in Mitch's leadership group, are we to believe Mitch didn't know any of that?

Senator Rick Scott was absolutely one of the biggest Trump supporters in the Senate, and in 2022 offered this 11-Point Plan to drain the swamp and fulfill the MAGA agenda.  The GOP didn't take the Senate in 2022, but the plan showed clear intent to support a Trump agenda, which neither Thune or Cornyn have ever shown such intent.  They're part of the "establishment Democrats and Republicans and their corporate media mouthpieces view the American taxpayer as an ATM to fund their priorities."

The so-called infrastructure bill that 19 miserable, loathsome Republican senators just helped to pass shows the utter worthlessness of a corporatist Republican Party out of touch with its constituents. Most of these senators are from red states, and many of them are people Trump bailed out in 2016 and 2020 (including McTurtle) and helped to get reelected. They just gave their voters, and the American people, the middle finger. One can’t help but think they’re either incredibly stupid or incredibly corrupt; probably both if we’re being honest......

 

While both Thune and Cornyn voted nay on that bill, Mitch McConnell voted for it, and they're his acolytes, which tells of a certain mind set.  Just because they got something right once doesn't give them a pass on all the damage they've done.  Who wants to own a watch that doesn't work just because it right twice a day?

Thune elected majority leader, RINOs emboldened? John Thune.... is a McConnell acolyte, and a bend-over-backwards to compromise with Democrats Trump-disdaining RINO. This is a bad sign. Spineless establishment Republicans can always snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Even a rout. Trump is transforming the party, and they feel threatened like the Deep Staters do..................The Democrats will do everything they can to destroy Trump and all of his cabinet picks, indeed everyone in his administration, because Trump is trying to Make America Great Again...........

 

Eric went on to say, "Republicans—all of them—need to stand up to Democrats, not aid and abet them in their quest to return to power.........".   And is that going to happen?  Here's my analysis of how Senate power will play out.  

 

There are 53 Republicans and 47 Democrat/Independent Senators, with Arizona being challenged for voter fraud, and Pennsylvania attempting to perform a massive level of voter fraud.  So, what does that mean in the real world? It means the Republicans will officially be in charge of legislation and it also means the Democrat/Independent cabal will still be in control.  

 

Why?   

 

Because the Democrat/Independent contingent will vote in lock step, and there are so many RINO's who will typically vote with the Democrats, the Democrats will still control the Senate.  The realistic numbers?   Anywhere up to 19 RINO's will give the Democrats exactly what they want, and that's the history of Mitch McConnell, and his two acolytes, Thune and Cornyn. 

After all that should we rationally believe Thune when he says he's "extremely honored” to be leading the “Republican team [that] is united behind President Trump’s agenda”? 

Snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory is legendary for the Republicans because they're not who they claim to be, conservatives, they're like John Kasich, who suffers from a serious case of weird compounded by a massive infection of hubris claiming he has the right to define conservatism as he sees fit.   Which is on the left side of a one way street, and he's not alone.

What to Expect From the Trump National Security Team

Gloom-and-doom defense officials chatter about thwarting Trump’s non-traditional choices.

When former President Donald Trump won an impressive re-election, national security wonks went wild with speculation on how Trump 47 would treat the Pentagon. The liberals portrayed the worst possible national security future, casting Trump as a tyrant who would use the active-duty military to impose his will on US citizens. Most of the gloom-and-doomers are “never-Trumpers” and have views of little relevance.

Trump Rapidly Forms National Security Staff

As the Trump Defense Department transition team starts to form its slate of Pentagon and other national security staff, what amounts to a fifth column is forming inside the five-sided building. Media reports show that Trump did not calculate how divisive what he called “the enemy within” really was. There seems to be a cadre of unnamed defense officials holding clandestine gatherings to devise ways to thwart their commander-in-chief. These people need to remember that 75 million voters repudiated their flawed point of view.

News of this despicable behavior was made public in a CNN report:

“Pentagon officials are holding informal discussions about how the Department of Defense would respond if Donald Trump issues orders to deploy active-duty troops domestically and fire large swaths of apolitical staffers, defense officials told CNN … Trump’s election has also raised questions inside the Pentagon about what would happen if the president issued an unlawful order, particularly if his political appointees inside the department don’t push back.”

These reports could be chalked up to chatter among those in the suggestion-making class, always a noisy minority in any administration. These comments are troubling because these voices gain prominence through the mindless echo chamber of the conventional media. To set the record straight about what presidents can do and have done, take the phrase “how the Department of Defense would respond if Donald Trump issues orders to deploy active-duty troops domestically.” This notion is a forecast for the darkest and most malevolent intentions, unprecedented in American history.

However, putting that phrase in historical context, Military.com explained past commanders-in-chief have used soldiers domestically six times. Which leads one to ask those worried about President Trump: 

 

“Do you mean like President Abraham Lincoln using federal troops to quell the New York City draft riots? Perhaps you are talking about President Herbert Hoover when he used the US Army, led by Gen. Douglas MacArthur, to remove veterans who set up an encampment on Capitol Hill, or in 1967 when President Lyndon Johnson called in the 82nd and 101st Airborne units to put down ‘Detroit’s 12th Street Riot,’ or maybe you mean the use of 13,600 armed soldiers that restored order when riots erupted nationwide following the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968. Maybe you are referring to the Los Angeles riots when several hundred Marines restored order in 1992.” 

 

Should anyone forget, President Dwight Eisenhower deployed active-duty soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division in 1957 to escort nine black students to a newly integrated Central High School in Little Rock, AR.

In each of these instances, federal military forces were used domestically because it was necessary to preserve the lives and property of US citizens. That reasoning was precisely how President-elect Trump phrased his intentions about when federal troops would be needed. However, on a more practical level, Trump administration appointees will be swimming upstream, particularly in the Pentagon, to achieve the Trump agenda. For Secretary of State, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) steps up to take the position. Current Rep. Michael Waltz (R-FL) will be Trump’s National Security Advisor. Fox News personality and veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars Pete Hegseth will be Secretary of Defense.

A Non-traditional Choice

Hegseth, Rubio, and Waltz will constitute the principal national security team; the most non-traditional choice is Hegseth to lead the Pentagon. However, he will have a mandate to turn the Defense Department from a den of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) activists into a fighting force capable of again deterring aggressors and, if deterrence fails, to defeat any adversary soundly. Many recent assessments of the US Armed Forces have questioned whether that is possible now.

Trump sees Hegseth as a no-nonsense, thoughtful leader who will bring back structure, order, and discipline to the Pentagon. Quoting Trump, The New York Times wrote, “Pete is tough, smart, and a true believer in America First. With Pete at the helm, America’s enemies are on notice — our military will be great again, and America will never back down.”

As the new administration nominees are announced, each has been selected to achieve the Trump agenda. Turning the massive ship of state from the path 60% of voters said is going in the wrong direction will be an immense undertaking and may be painful. However, America will be better for the effort.

Trump Won Jewish Neighborhoods Across America

Trump won the largest Jewish county in the country, the only entirely Jewish town and village, and some of the densest, fastest growing and most Jewish neighborhoods in America. 

Borough Park, Brooklyn is the densest Jewish neighborhood in the country. Its two square miles contain nearly 100,000 Jewish people in 23,000 households. 83% are married and only 2% are divorced. 96% are members of synagogues. This was where large crowds protested pandemic lockdowns, tearing down playground fences and burning masks.

Trump won over 90% of the vote in most Borough Park districts. On 14th Avenue and Rabbi Weissmandl Way, Trump won 96% of the vote in one very Jewish district. In Chicago’s West Rogers Park, a Muslim terrorist shot a Jewish man who was walking to the synagogue on the Sabbath, and then did battle with police while shouting, “Allahu Akbar”.

Trump won the more Orthodox areas of West Rogers Park, which Chicago Magazine described as, “a world of synagogues, kosher bakeries, and Hebrew bookstores” by over 70%.

A pro-terrorist mob descended on the Pico-Robertson community in Los Angeles, and assaulted Jewish community members outside the Adas Torah synagogue while the police did nothing.

Trump won the Pico Robertson community. He also won the adjoining communities of Beverly Hills and the Orthodox Jewish community in the Fairfax area near the Holocaust museum, and which had suffered a BLM pogrom that vandalized synagogues and businesses in 2020. Down in the valley, he also won Valley Village as well as some Jewish areas in Encino and Tarzana.

In Surfside, the most ‘Jewish community’ of the Miami area, where Jews make up a third of the population, Trump won 61% of the vote. In Aventura, Miami, a melting pot of Jews from Latin America, the former USSR and the Middle East, where the majority of the population is Jewish, Trump won 59% of the vote.

These snapshots of some of the densest Jewish communities in the country, in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Florida, show how Jews actually voted on Election Day.  Despite the push polls from liberal Jewish organizations and dubious exit polls, actual precinct data from the largest Jewish neighborhoods in the country shows Jews voted for Trump.  Precinct data, unlike polls, don’t represent some statistical cross-section of the population and can’t be biased, they show how actual Jewish communities voted in a truly objective way.

Closer breakdowns in New York and New Jersey show in depth the impact of the Trump vote in the most Jewish neighborhoods and areas in cities and states.

In Brooklyn, in Crown Heights, the home of the Lubavitch chassidic movement which Trump visited before the election, the area shines bright red amid a seat of blue from the surrounding hipster and black communities. Trump won 74% of the vote in Crown Heights South.

A red beach on the map of Brooklyn represents the chassidic communities of South Williamsburg where Trump won an average of 90% of the vote. Midwood, home to tens of thousands of more Orthodox (but not Chassidic) Jews is another bright stretch of red with Trump winning 90% or more of the votes in many precincts.  In the Syrian Jewish enclaves of Gravesend, Trump won between 85% to 91% of the vote.

But it’s not just religious Jews.

Trump won over 70% of the vote in the Brighton Beach enclave founded by Russian Jews. Queens, home to a large population of older working class Jewish retirees and Russian immigrants (along with working class Irish and Italians of another era) is almost all red.

Trump won some Kew Garden Hills, Queens precincts by over 80%. The New York Times wrote that Kew Garden Hills “supports one of the biggest Orthodox Jewish communities in New York City.”

Moving outside the city and further upstate, in the chassidic town of Palm Tree, NY, Trump won 98% of the vote, by 7489-122 and in the village of New Square, which is also all chassidic, Trump won 3,456 votes to 12 votes for Kamala.

In the larger Rockland County, NY, which has the largest Jewish population of any county in the country at 31%, Trump won a majority of the vote.

While Bruce Springsteen came out of Monmouth County, NJ and campaigned for Kamala, the area is home to the third largest concentration of Jews in the state, it’s also one of the most populated and fastest growing Jewish communities, and Trump won it.

Monmouth County includes the Syrian Jewish area of Deal where Trump held a fundraiser.

Trump won Ocean County and Passaic County, NJ even more decisively 67% to 31%. In Ocean County’s Lakewood township, where Jews make up 2 out of 3 residents, Trump won 99% of the vote. In Bergen County’s somewhat more liberal Teaneck Modern Orthodox Jewish precincts, Trump won 71% of the vote.

While Democrats and the media will go on peddling their own push poll and surveys which will claim that the vast majority of Jews are Democrats (and some will go on believing them), the hard data from election precincts shows very clearly how Jewish neighborhoods voted.

Trump won Jewish neighborhoods across America. These communities are diverse, representing Middle Eastern, Latin American, Russian and Orthodox Jews. Many of these communities do not show up in polls and surveys which capture only a very conventional liberal demographic of third generation Eastern European and German descended Reform Jews.

Democrats, liberal Jewish groups and the media ignore some of the largest and fastest growing Jewish communities in America because they don’t fit the liberal suburban ‘Temple’ template.

The Trump campaign did not make that same mistake and won them.

Pro-Trump Jewish communities can be ignored in polls and surveys, but they can’t be ignored on Election Day. And the most Jewish neighborhoods in America voted for Trump.

Since Donald Trump’s lopsided victory in the 2024 presidential election, there has been much talk – happily on the right, hauntingly on the left – of whether we have just witnessed a seismic event that rarely occurs in politics: a genuine and durable realignment of the electorate. While that term is based on art as much as science, just the fact that such a discussion is taking place among politicians and pundits suggests that this was arguably the most significant election in our lifetime – not just because the two candidates presented such opposite worldviews, but due to Trump’s sweep of all seven swing states that were up for grabs. The past and future president has almost single handedly forged a breathtaking reversal of party identities. Republicans, once viewed as the pro-war party of wealthy elitists, are now the anti-war party of the working class. Democrats, meanwhile, have become the pro-war party of the wealthy and heavily educated.

As stunning as this reversal has been, the first thing to understand about political realignments over the course of history is that they are not considered as such until more than one election demonstrates that a critical mass of one or more demographic groups has shifted their support from one party to the other. While Trump enjoyed overwhelming support from everyday Americans who once favored Democrats, on top of a significant increase in backing from black voters on November 5, the group that has triggered the discussion about realignment is Hispanic voters.

Starting with 2016, Hispanics have increased their support for Republicans, or more specifically Donald Trump, by about 60% – from 28% in 2016 to 45% in 2024. Other than a small group of native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders and baby boomers, the largest generation in American history now in the class of voters over 65 years old, Hispanics are the fastest-growing segment of the country’s electorate. And that trend seems likely to continue since their birth rates are more than 20% higher than whites and blacks. Unless the trend changes, Hispanics will become a majority of the US population before the turn of the 22nd century.

Complicating the matter of realignment is that Hispanics of varied nationalities hardly vote in lockstep. They come in all shapes and sizes. Cubans, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, and natives of multiple countries in Central and South America have distinct cultures. Cubans infuriated by the tyranny of Fidel Castro have traditionally been strong supporters of the GOP. Other groups of Latinos have, until this election, favored Democrats. The question is whether their support for Trump will prove to be durable, or if this year was a one-off in response to inflation and the porous border, both of which are unlikely to dominate the conversation in 2028.

But one thing is clear. The Democrats’ identitarian appeal to Hispanics on the issue of immigration and their ill-conceived pandering exemplified by “Latinx,” a term has been widely rejected by those to whom it was designed to appeal, has blown up in their faces. A critical mass of immigrants who respect the law and waited years to become legal have expressed fury over the millions of illegals who charged the border and cut in line. Unless the left stops pandering and realizes that Hispanics vote on the same “kitchen-table” issues as whites and blacks – the economy, safety, and security – they are likely to continue their downward spiral with this crucial voting bloc.

Realignment May Have Started Eight Years Ago

Another harbinger of political realignment is when the rising party flips states thought to be safely in the grasp of the other. Trump appears to have bulldozed the “blue wall” – Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin – that was safely in the Democrats’ column for almost three decades. That wall has turned red in two of the last three presidential elections. These states have voted in lockstep since before the dawn of the 21st century. Whether Trump’s victories in 2016 and 2024 – and close calls in 2020 – represent a sea change in this northern tier of battlegrounds is still unclear, but it will no longer be debatable if the GOP captures this trio of states in 2028.

 

At the same time, Florida and Ohio, long considered swing states, have turned bright red. Trump won Florida by a whopping 13% this year, a huge margin compared to his victories by less than 2% in 2016 and 3% in 2020. And the 45th/47th president won Ohio by 12% this year after winning there by 8% in each of the last two elections. On the flip side, Colorado, long considered a battleground, has turned heavily blue, with Harris winning there in 2024 by 11 points. But in the exchange, Republicans have added 47 safe electoral votes while Democrats have added just 10. Democrats no longer have the huge built-in advantage they enjoyed for decades due to the combined 101 electoral votes in deep blue California, New York, and Illinois.

The most unmistakable sign of realignment is when one or more safely blue or red states turn heavily one way or another. But no safe states for either candidate were flipped this year, meaning the conversation about whether we are in the midst of a realignment will continue for at least another four years.

A Brief History of Political Realignment

In the years leading up to the 20th century, Republicans had built a durable urban coalition that led to the presidencies of William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Warren Harding, Calvin Coolidge, and Herbert Hoover – interrupted only by eight years of Democrat Woodrow Wilson. But in 1932, at the height of the Great Depression, Democratic President Franklin D. Roosevelt won the first of his four straight overwhelming victories, dominating the big cities and producing the so-called New Deal coalition, a multi-racial bloc which dominated American politics for more than four decades. By the time Richard Nixon was elected president in 1968, it had all changed with the passage of civil rights legislation that transformed the South, previously the dominion of Democratic segregationists, into a Republican stronghold.

It appeared that after winning two landslides in the 1980s on the strength of his appeal to conservative “blue dog” Democrats, Ronald Reagan had built a lasting center-right coalition, but with patrician George H.W. Bush following Reagan with his appeal to become a “kinder, gentler” nation, the coalition evaporated with his resounding defeat for re-election at the hands of Bill Clinton, who won back many of the voters who had supported Reagan and served in the White House for eight years. The subsequent two-term presidency of George W. Bush was followed by the polar opposite, eight years of Barack Obama, and then the voters pulled another 180 with the shock election of Donald Trump in 2016.

It has been 50 years since the last genuine realignment of the American electorate. And though some informed observers through the years of the 21st century contemporaneously predicted emerging majorities for both parties at various junctures, the discussion of whether we are now in the midst of another sea change has serious people on both sides of the aisle admitting that it is certainly possible, and we may just be one election away from receiving the answer.
