Gov. Newsom’s $750M Gift to Hollywood Donors

Ben Affleck recently complained that California “came to take this industry for granted a little bit.”
By that the movie star meant that the state wasn't funding it enough, but that's not for lack of California officials trying.
California has a $68 billion deficit, and Gov. Newsom is proposing $375 million in budget cuts for the California State University system, $68 million in cuts for wildfire prevention (even as LA is recovering from the worst fires in history) and doubling Hollywood’s tax credits to $750 million
Hollywood, which already benefits from $350 million in breaks, will get $750 million in tax credits even as money is being cut from education, public safety and even wildfire prevention.
The entertainment industry would be able to recoup up to 35% of their spending, up from the current 20%, and the subsidies would cover everything from sitcoms to reality shows.
The California Production Coalition, whose members include the umbrella trade group for Disney, Amazon, Netflix, Sony, Universal and WBs, has a list of demands that include lifting the $100 million cap on expenses, and, even more controversially, “above the line” costs of salaries for movie stars, directors and other talent which can run into the tens of millions of dollars.
Should California taxpayers really be covering Tom Cruise’s salary? Hollywood thinks so. And the powerful Hollywood donors to California Democrats means that they usually get their way.
When Gov. Gavin Newsom faced a recall after a corrupt pandemic lockdown system that kept churches and small businesses closed, but allowed movie and TV productions to do whatever they wanted, Hollywood donors showed up to throw millions at Newsom. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings kicked in $3 million, Universal, Paramount and top celebrities also stepped up.
A ‘virtual’ event chaired by Dreamworks co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg, raised over $1 million to keep Newsom in office. FOX, Sony and other executives wrote checks for thousands of dollars.
Now Gov. Newsom is paying up.
Last year, Disney’s ‘Paradise 2’, a series about political corruption, fittingly received over $12 million, ‘Untitled WB Film’ got $20 million, ‘Untitled Disney+ Project’ picked up $14 million, ‘Suits LA’ got $12 million to shoot in LA, ‘LA Nights’ got $19 million to also shoot in LA, Apple’s ‘Bad Monkey 2’ got $20 million and ‘Untitled Drag Queen Movie’ got $1.6 million.
Gov. Newsom and California Democrats claim that these massive giveaways to huge studios are vitally necessary to keep the film industry in Los Angeles or it’ll move on to Georgia. That must be why Newsom also exempted Hollywood from pandemic restrictions. But it doesn’t explain why he shut down virtually everything except those same Hollywood productions.
California Democrats have gone after virtually every major industry in the state, starving agriculture industries of water through environmental restrictions, dismantling trucking with a ban on freelance workers, taxing and banning oil and gas, and shoving out defense industries, all the while raising business taxes through the roof and sending companies fleeing to Texas.
Yet when it comes to Hollywood, Gov. Newsom and his legislative supermajority claim that keeping this particular industry in California is so vital that no amount of subsidies is too great. State Democrats are willing to slash education spending just to keep movies in California.
And yet Hollywood’s actual impact on California is limited.
Despite false industry claims, Hollywood tax credits are a consistent net loss for the states that offer them. States don’t offer tax credits because they have any meaningful impact, but because the film industry is glamorous, its lobbyists keep calling and celebrities keep writing checks.
Even the vastly inflated Hollywood estimates of jobs created and money spent is in the thousands (unless you also count their absurd numbers of ‘background performers’ or extras) compared to 130,000 truck drivers, whom California Democrats have been chasing out of the state, and over 4 million small businesses of which a third were shuttered by pandemic restrictions.
Gov. Newsom and California Democrats didn’t even blink at killing 7,500 small businesses during the pandemic, which employed far more people than the Hollywood productions do. If they really cared about jobs, they’d be providing massive tax breaks for some of those small businesses instead of writing $20 million checks to Disney and Netflix to “create jobs”.
Perversely, Hollywood lobbies keep demanding more subsidies because of the supposed impact that the pandemic had on their productions that they still haven’t “recovered” from even five years later. But of all the businesses in the state, Hollywood studios had the fewest restrictions on their behavior. That’s why small cafes had to close and watch while Hollywood crews set up craft services in their parking lots.
Hollywood had so much influence that when LA slapped a lockdown on everyone, and asked productions to avoid stirring up bad feelings by restricting filming to the same hours as other businesses, industry anger forced cringing officials to withdraw their request and only asked them “to voluntarily limit and/or avoid activities likely to invite a negative community response”.
Small businesses in LA did not get requests to “voluntarily” do anything. They had their power and other utilities cut off if they did not comply. The general public was not issued voluntary requests to wear masks or stay out of parks. Instead, California Democrat officials chained off entire areas, blocked park benches and set out to criminalize any lockdown dissent.
Except for Hollywood.
Gov. Newsom and California officials declared that “workers supporting the film, television and commercial production industry” were “essential for the state’s critical infrastructure.” It did not clarify which part of California’s “critical infrastructure” the movies and bad sitcoms made up.
The double standard was obscenely corrupt then and it’s corrupt now.
5 years after receiving unprecedented exemptions, Gov. Newsom and California Democrats are providing unprecedented subsidies to Hollywood because of their supposed pandemic suffering.
“Hollywood workers have endured a difficult last few years, starting with the pandemic,” the LA Times claimed in defending Newsom’s $750 million in subsidies.
What about the rest of the state’s workers and the millions of jobs that were lost there? And many of those, unlike “background performers”, were actual good lifelong jobs.
Hollywood productions don’t even create stable jobs because of their erratic nature. They’re even less stable (and often more abusive) than the Uber and Lyft.jobs that California Democrats had declared war on and have tried to regulate out of existence. But they are heavily unionized.
And the top players are major funders of Gov. Gavin Newsom and the Democrat majority.
Gov. Newsom is not proposing to double tax credits for Hollywood because of the economic benefits to the state, but the economic benefits to his future presidential campaign. Democratic presidential campaigns live and die by the money they gain from three industries: Hollywood, Wall Street and Silicon Valley. That was why Biden and Kamala had so many Hollywood fundraisers. Now Gov. Newsom is bribing Hollywood with $750 million in taxpayer money in the hopes that they’ll pay at least 10% of that forward to his 2028 presidential campaign.

Hollywood Hates Jews
“I’ve had someone say to me, ‘Let’s not forget what Hollywood is made up of. Be careful,’”

Guy Pearce told a Jewish writer at Vanity Fair in response to a question about his attacks on Israel.
In an industry where talent has been cancelled for the most minor perceived offenses against political correctness, Pearce’s remarks went unnoticed and he was rewarded with an Oscar nomination for playing an antisemite on screen in The Brutalist and in real life.
Contrast that with the backlash against ‘Karla Sofia’ Gascon, starring in Emilia Perez, the Oscar frontrunner, over old Spanish-language tweets speaking out against Black Lives Matter and Islam, which he has already apologized for several times.
Pearce’s friend was wrong. He had nothing to worry about from Hollywood. Jews however have plenty to worry about from Hollywood as the Oscar nominations once again show.
The Brutalist, a fictional exploitation of an equally fictional Holocaust survivor oppressed by American capitalism and racism, has received ten nominations. Brady Corbet, who wrote, directed and produced the movie, is non-Jewish and has promoted an anti-Israel documentary.
Like last year’s nominee, Zone of Interest, the movie exploits the Holocaust to score points against America. Most current Holocaust movies see Jews as vehicles for contemporary agitprop by non-Jewish liberals like Corbet or Jews like Zone’s director Jonathan Glazer or A Royal Pain’s star Jesse Eisenberg who symbolically shed their Jewishness as part of their promotional campaigns.
“We stand here as men who refute their Jewishness,” Glazer had declared at the Oscars last year. Jesse Eisenberg, whose movie’s depiction of the Polish role in the killing of Jews borders on Holocaust denial, told Bill Maher that he had obtained dual citizenship in Poland.
“A lot of American Jews of Polish descent, you know, have this kind of like negative attitude towards Poland that Oh, it’s anti-Semitic,” Eisenberg complained.
The symbolic shedding of Jewishness, the criticism of Jews and the embrace of antisemites has become an almost mandatory ritual in an industry formerly created by Jews, but where it is trendy to despise Jews and career suicide to stand up for them.
“From ‘A Real Pain’ to ‘The Brutalist’ and beyond, Jewish movies were everywhere in 2024. What does it mean?” the JTA asked. What it means is that these movies aren’t Jewish. They are the work of people who hate Jews and Jews who hate themselves.
Two years after life fundamentally changed for Israeli and American Jews, the industry continues to roll out highly fictionalized prestige Holocaust movies and neurotic shlock about Jewish hipster losers.
Only one movie, September 5, the story of the media coverage of the Munich massacre of Israeli Olympic athletes, dealt with anything remotely relevant to Jews after Oct 7.
And it was limited to one Oscar nomination.
The Academy Awards did not choose to recognize any of the documentaries about Oct 7, but did nominate, No Other Land, an anti-Israel agitprop doc also promoted by Brutalist’s Corbet.
It would be tempting to pretend that this is a recent problem, but it’s an old Hollywood tale.
The Pawnbroker, a 1964 Oscar nominated movie about a Holocaust survivor, featured a grotesque stereotype played by Rod Steiger whose experiences in the Holocaust have made him selfish and miserable, exploiting minorities for money, until he is finally redeemed by unselfishly coming to care for them.
Call it a liberal Christmas Carol parable for Holocaust survivors who needed to get over it. The New York Times compared the movie’s Jewish Holocaust survivor protagonist, to “the somber shadow of the legendary, ageless Wandering Jew… who taunted Jesus on the way to Calvary and was condemned to roam the world a lonely outcast until Jesus should come again.”
The Pawnbroker and Nazi propaganda shared the conviction that Jews were horrible people, where they differed was the idea that liberalism could redeem the Jews from damnation.
Understand that and you also understand Glazer, Eisenberg, Hollywood and the pathologies of Jewish liberalism which came to welcome any taunt and act of contempt from the Left.
Jews created Hollywood and were disproportionately responsible for its golden age. They could bring legends to life, invent gangsters, swoosh heroes across the screen, and even make iconic Christmas movies, but the one thing they could not do was talk about themselves.
After the Holocaust, two movies about antisemitism fought it out at the 20th Academy Awards.
Gentleman’s Agreement made by Darryl Zanuck, who was not Jewish, after being barred from joining the Los Angeles Country Club because members assumed he was Jewish. Gregory Peck serves as Zanuck’s much more handsome stand-in as a non-Jewish man whose life falls apart when people start believing that he is Jewish. The movie was sympathetically directed by Elia Kazan, another non-Jewish Hollywood figure who was also often mistaken for Jewish.
Jewish studio heads, including Sam Goldwyn, had pleaded with Zanuck not to make the movie to avoid causing problems for Jews. Instead it won a bunch of awards and everyone agreed that now that it was done with, Hollywood never needed to talk about Jews or antisemitism again.
Up against it was Crossfire, a much more baffling movie about an antisemitic murder, whose plot only makes sense if you understand that it was originally about gay men in the closet.
You can see why the saving grace of Hollywood was that it didn’t make movies about Jews.
Holocaust movies safely boxed off the Jews as hollow figures, convenient victims on stage to provide commentary about some larger social or political issue, a handful of Zionist movies that quickly came and went in the sixties, and then a parade of neurotic postmodern creeps.
Hollywood’s Jews don’t like being Jewish. And so they don’t like Jews very much. Their idea of a Jewish character is a neurotic, because they’re neurotic, and grotesque because they see Jews as grotesque. The handful of Jewish talent who defy the Hollywood establishment and stand up for Jewish issues, Ben Hecht during the Holocaust, and Debra Messing, Julianna Margulies and Selma Blair after Oct 7, damage their careers while the ‘Guy Pearces’ flourish.
Jews showing up in Hollywood movies is rarely something to celebrate. And the Oscars will invariably dole out some awards to The Brutalist or A Royal Pain whose awardees will use their moment in the spotlight to denounce the Jewish State. The Hollywood Jews who couldn’t bother to be heard after Oct 7, or to even stand up for the handful of their colleagues, Jewish (and non-Jewish like Patricia Heaton), will applaud and help fund the next horrible ‘Jewish’ movie.
Hollywood would rather that Jews not exist. Jews should return the favor.

The Entertainment Industry in 2024: Not a Good Showing
Layoffs and closures, news and entertainment suffering from changes.

The year 2024 will be known for many things: two assassination attempts on Donald Trump, a president basically forced out of office and a vice president becoming the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate without voter approval, and a 40-year-high inflation, to name a few. Virtually every aspect of American life has changed, and not just politically. The entertainment sector suffered greatly as well, and things don’t look to improve in the coming years.
Nearly 15,000 jobs were lost during 2024 across television, broadcast, film, streaming, and news. In 2023, 21,417 jobs were cut according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc., an agency that tracks the employment market. Although, as of December, there were 14,909 jobs lost in 2024, a bit lower than the previous year, that doesn’t mean the industry is rebounding. In fact, with factors such as artificial intelligence and streaming, experts warn the entertainment business will likely face even more struggles.
Why Is the Entertainment Industry Struggling?
The business used to be booming. “From 2010 to 2017, the media industry lost 7,305 jobs per year on average, according to Challenger’s data,” The Wrap reported. “Since 2018, the average number of annual job cuts has jumped to 14,298.”
Brian Frons, the former head of ABC Daytime and a current professor at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business, told The Wrap
that Hollywood is going through growing pains while the industry shifts
to focusing on streaming. “These sorts of cycles of consolidation,
combination and drive to profitability happen time and again,” he said.
“What’s going to happen, as has happened in the past, is the businesses
that were the breadwinners will continue to be consolidated and shrunk,
and the businesses that are growing will increase headcount.”
Leaving California
The Golden State hasn’t just been losing residents looking for “redder” pastures. Hollywood is also losing production to other states and the UK, where there are better tax breaks. In the third quarter, production dropped 5% in California, with reality TV production losing a massive 56%, The Wrap explained.
Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Tony Vinciquerra told The Hollywood Reporter: “There’s a very significant difference in California, which has been the hardest hit [and] just hasn’t responded to what’s going on in the world of incentives. The cost of doing business in California is so high that it’s very difficult to price out a film.”
Artificial Intelligence
The SAG-AFTRA strike in 2023 brought to attention the concerns about using AI in the film industry. Actors and writers protested the use and walked off their jobs for 118 days. Studios may have thought to save money by scanning actors and then using their images – over and over – while the actor only received a one-day payment, but the strike put an end to that and provided other protections.
Filmmaker and AI regulation activist Justine Bateman spoke at The Wrap’s “The Grill” conference in October and said artificial intelligence threatens to “burn down” the entertainment business. “If you start taking out chunks of duties, maybe the whole marketing department, maybe a camera, maybe all the actors or half the actors, or the crew doesn’t qualify for insurance because you’re only using them for three weeks instead of 12. Whatever it is, the structure will collapse.”
Here’s a brief look at some of the Entertainment jobs lost in 2024:
- In January, Amazon studios cut hundreds of jobs.
- In February, Paramount Global laid off about 800 staffers.
- Netflix laid off around 12 people in April.
- Fox Entertainment let go of 30 staffers in July.
- Warner Bros. Discovery laid off nearly 1,000 employees in July.
- Paramount Global started a plan to reduce around 2,000 employees in August, and Paramount Television Studios closed, which impacted between 20-30 jobs.
Disney had several rounds of job cuts as well, including:
- 175 (14% of the division) Pixar Animation staff
- Around 300 corporate staffers in September
- About 75 staffers across ABC News and owned stations in October.
- 140 staffers at Disney Entertainment Television
- 15 staffers across Marvel Entertainment and Marvel Studios
News and Media
Advertising has had a major impact on the media industry. Traditional print or digital mediums have mostly been abandoned for digital companies such as Facebook and Google. A study from Reuters Institute showed that only 15% of Americans pay to read the news from a local outlet while less than one-in-four pay for a digital news subscription, The Wrap reported. When it comes to streaming services, though, 85% of Americans pay for at least one service, a report from Deloitte pointed out. In other words, people don’t want to pay for their news.
Artificial intelligence has its hand in the news as well. In 2024, it was integrated into the newsroom when OpenAI struck a number of licensing partnerships, including with such giants as New York Post, Vox, and Time Magazine. The contracts allow the AI company to use content from these outlets in answers from its chatbot.
Ditch the Diatribe – Try This!
“Currently, AI aids news workers rather than replaces them, but there are no guarantees this will remain the case,” according to a report from Columbia University’s journalism school. “AI is sufficiently mature to enable the replacement of at least some journalism jobs, either directly or because fewer workers are needed.”
And need we mention the lack of trust people have in the mainstream media? A recent Gallup poll discovered that only 31% of respondents said they had a “great deal” or “fair amount” of confidence that media will report the news “fully, accurately and fairly.”
The Trump Factor
“Ironically, the best thing for major outlets could be Trump’s return to the White House,” The Wrap noted, citing The New York Times as an example. “[T]he ‘paper of records’ stock price increased from $12.75 to $49.07 between the time he entered and left the Oval Office.”
However, the outlet warned this next four years could be trickier for media when it comes to the incoming president who has made it a mission to go after those who report “fake news.” An L.A. Times editor told The Wrap that Trump’s return and aggressive measures against the media will be good for some and bad for others:
“Because only a handful really cover Trump aggressively, and it’s going to be very difficult for them, because this is going to be an administration that is the most hostile ever to the press. Out of that, the ones that are courageous and can do a good job are going to do well – but there’s not many that can do that.”
With that, we’ll leave you with a brief rundown of jobs cut in the media in 2024:
Vice Media announced in February it would lay off several hundred people and close its website. In July, CNN laid off 100 employees. Scripps, in September, removed 200 jobs and announced it would start “winding down” its national news operation. ABC News, owned by Disney, laid off 75 people in October. Hearst, which owns publications such as Esquire and Cosmopolitan, laid off almost 200 people in November.

Hollywood is Just a Big Masquerade

The Democrats are now in disarray over their lost election, pointing fingers at each other, and I'm really getting a kick out of George Clooney. He's being blamed for the Democrats forcing Biden out of the race, but now we find he's all upset at his big buddy, Barack Obama, who apparently was behind his oped pushing Biden out, and now he's been left high and dry by Obama to take the heat over that all by himself. Well, the arrogant snot deserves it, after all, it's the scorpion and the fox story.
A scorpion is walking along the riverbank and asks a fox to carry him across.The fox refuses, saying that the scorpion will sting him and they will both drown.The scorpion promises not to sting the fox if the fox helps him.The fox agrees, and the scorpion climbs onto the fox's back.Halfway across the river, the scorpion stings the fox. The fox asks why, and the scorpion replies, "I couldn't help it, it's in my nature".
So, now poor Georgie is fuming at his big buddy Barack. Why? Didn't he notice for all of these years that's who Obama is, and always has been? Obama is a liar, and a user, why would he expect anything different? But Clooney never noticed. Schadenfreude!

description perfectly for he is a very good actor......

Glib aloofness looks a lot like stupidity when ignorant celebrities can’t hide behind their pop-culture mystiques and glamour shots......they are no more than an odd collection of doomsayers, snake oil salesmen, carnival barkers, streetwalkers, has-beens, pseudo-intellectuals, hormone-raging adolescents, and empty suits.......Hollyweirdos, fake scientists, lip-syncing twerkers, aging rock stars, and teenaged “influencers”
Americans have definitely seen through the celebrity class’s layers of plastic surgery and recognized Hollywood for what it is: a feeding ground for lost and damaged souls. Voters have rejected the political pablum of Rob Reiner, Rosie O’Donnell, Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Mark Ruffalo, and other Tinseltown snobs because their opinions hold no weight. Americans can think for themselves. The good people of “flyover country” have nothing to learn from the vain pontifications of coastal “elites.”
Well, here's the reality all these naive, ignorant, arrogant, uneducated Americans see and don't like, and the left refuses to accept.
Leftism is a death of a thousand cuts. They're focused on murdering the innocent unborn, obsessed with chemically and physically castrating children without parental consent, the unrelenting pressure to promote gay marriage has led to men competing in women's sports, allowing unrestricted immigration, defunding the police causing rampant lawlessness in inner cities, hate whitey critical race theory, DEI giving unqualified personnel jobs based on race, gender, or any new crybaby identity whine that comes down the road, over those who are qualified, embracing the economic and social disaster of the New Green Deal, high inflation,
incompetence in international conflicts, demanding obedience to pandemic mandates, turning control of private property over to the government via regulations the Congress never saw, and never passed, censorship, voter fraud, spending and borrowing the nation into bankruptcy, and these Hollyweird nitwits think those who voted for Trump are naive, ignorant, arrogant and uneducated. Maybe, but they're not stupid, Hollywood almost has the monopoly on stupid.
Shurk goes on to say:
Democrats are not the party of “live and let live.” They are not the
party of individualism, intellectual open-mindedness, or rebellion
against the status quo. They are not the party of free speech or
free expression. They are the party of rules, regulations, and
intrusive laws. They are the party of mandates, de-banking, social “cancellation,” and dogmatic beliefs. They are the thought police............. The Democrat party has become nothing but a religious cult
intent on punishing Americans for their heretical transgressions.
So, since all that is history, and that history is incontestable, who really are the misfits, nitwits, and halfwits? Let's face it, yesterday they were parking cars, pumping gas, and waiting tables, but now they're being paid obscene amounts of money to portray people who never existed, memorize words others have written, say them and move at the direction of someone else making them look smart and capable. That doesn't mean they are smart, or capable, it's just a big masquerade.

DEI is philosophy without form, acceptance without accomplishment, and incompetence without consequence!

Rajan Laad posted this article, DEI's Clouded Lens, saying:
The Camerimage festival this year was marred due to 'sexist' opinions of the festival's director Marek Żydowicz in an op-ed for Cinematography World about female directors and cinematographers. Żydowicz received intense backlash from many in the film industry and tried to extinguish the fire with not just one but two apologies but the outraged mob thought his sexism was too severe for forgiveness. The British Society of Cinematographers replied to Żydowicz that they were "disheartened and angered by your profoundly misogynistic comments and aggressive tone, which we view as symptomatic of a deep-rooted prejudice.".........The festival jury didn't withdraw but "committed to being part of any gender representation debate."
He goes on to list the prominent filmmakers who pulled out in outrage. Okay, so, what was said by festival's director Marek Żydowicz that was so outrageous so many pulled out?
One of the most significant changes is the growing recognition of female cinematographers and directors. This evolution is crucial as it rectifies the obvious injustice present in societal development. However, it also raises a question: Can the pursuit of change exclude what is good? Can we sacrifice works and artists with outstanding artistic achievements solely to make room for mediocre film production?”
That's it? That's all it took to set them off? Maybe instead of apologizing he should have offered them ice cream, cookies, and a safe room to cry out their little eyes.
If the best filmmakers are all men, then they'll demand at least, the very least, one woman must be on that list. But when you give in to insanity it never ends. How about this. There must be one black, or one homosexual woman, or one homosexual man, or one Asian, or one, Hispanic, or one atheist, or one communist, or...well... you get the idea. This kind of insanity is a metastasizing cancer infecting all the cells in the body until the body dies. And DEI is killing every institution it infects.
So, what does this mean in reality? It means someone who excelled must be sacrificed to accommodate these leftist fanatics, but it won't be the most prominent or most successful filmmakers, because that may impact future employment. So they have to choose struggling up and coming filmmakers in order to accommodate a less qualified woman. What if that up and coming filmmaker was the very best of them all? Well, too bad, he'll be sacrificed anyway.

Who Lost the 2024 Election? Celebrities

The media spent months pre-hyping Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris. In its aftermath, stories claimed that the lip-synching sensation’s Instagram post drove half a million fans to not only buy overpriced merchandise, but to register to vote in the 2024 election.
The Kamala campaign embraced ‘Brat’ branding based on an album from a British half-Muslim pop star few Americans ever heard of. It brought out Beyonce to campaign (crucially not to sing) for Kamala who had tried to model her fanbase, the KHive, on Beyonce’s rabid Beyhive fans.
Kamala brought Oprah and Lady Gaga to Philly and Katy Perry to Pittsburgh. Julia Roberts cut an ad telling women to hide their votes from their husbands. In Michigan, white wife-killing enthusiast rapper Eminem headlined a Kamala rally while Obama rapped the opening of his ‘Lose Yourself’ (unintentionally revealing that he’s just as authentically black as Eminem.)
Bruce Springsteen shuffled out to perform at an Obama event for Kamala in Philly. The Kamala campaign brought Megan Thee Stallion to rap in Atlanta, dragged out what was left of the (Dixie) Chicks to the DNC and Lizzo to Detroit. Even the most faded has-beens like Lance Bass of NSYNC and Jennifer Aniston of Friends were tagged to shill for Kamala. Any celeb with even the slightest name recognition, past, present or future, was tasked with getting out the vote.
And the American people responded with a massive landslide which won not only the election, but the popular vote, for the man that all the celebrities had warned them not to vote for.
“This was really an historic, flawlessly run campaign,” Joy Reid raved on MSNBC. “Queen Latifah never endorses anyone. She had every prominent celebrity voice, she had Taylor Swift, the Swifties, she had Beyonce, the Beyhive, you could not have run a better campaign.”
Reid’s answer was that America was racist. But maybe Americans just hate celebrities?
If celebrity endorsements drove elections, America would have been run by Democrats since the Kennedy administration except for a two term Romney presidency. Apart from some immature teenagers and mentally ill people who not only pay $500 a pop to listen to a pop star lip sync music written by AI but actually build their identities around being their fans, most people view celebrities as entertainers not as moral authorities or thought leaders.
Americans don’t vote the way celebrities tell them to, but they just might vote against them.
Celebrity endorsements for insurance, mobile phone plans or candidates drive attention to the product, rather than unqualified enthusiasm for it. Advertisers understand this, the Kamala campaign didn’t. The attempt to build an armor of celebrities around Kamala was an insecure attempt to replicate Obama’s cult following without having any of the charisma. Obama cultivated celebrities because he successfully convinced 2008 voters that he was one.
Kamala could never convince anyone that she was a celebrity. Her charisma level would about suffice for a publicist or a receptionist, and yet she very badly wanted to be the biggest star. Gathering celebrities around her didn’t make her seem bigger, the way it did Obama, instead it made her appear smaller. It drove attention to the product. And the product was not competitive.
‘Brat’ and ‘Joy’ didn’t become Kamala’s ‘Hope and Change’. Building a wall of celebrities only briefly made her candidacy appear like a movement before everyone got a look inside. The interviews shattered the idea that Kamala was anything special. Whatever intangible quality makes ordinary people into stars wasn’t there. All that was there was a great emptiness.
Surrounded by celebrities, Kamala just looked like the dictator of a former Soviet republic who could pay $10 million to get Beyonce to perform at her birthday party. A country suffering from economic insecurity watched the spectacle of a billion dollar campaign throwing money around (while constantly texting supporters to demand another $5 (with monthly auto-renew)) to throw a party for the lamest little rich girl on earth while they were having trouble buying gas and bread.
The public likes celebrities to be entertaining. Trump bringing out Hulk Hogan was entertaining. Kamala summoning Beyonce, Springsteen or Lizzo to lecture on abortion, sexism, democracy and racism was about as much fun as falling asleep to NPR. The Kamala campaign had tried the ‘joy’ brand, but its celebrity entourage was a joyless assemblage of flickering star wattage.
Celebrities can’t make a bad product good, but they can make everyone hate it. And by the time they were done, most of the country had decided that they were not voting for Kamala.
Smart agents make sure that their clients don’t endorse bad products unless their careers are already on the way down. And smarter agents and celebrities kept their distance from the Kamala trainwreck. Even Taylor Swift kept it predictably coy, avoiding actual Kamala rallies, and delivering just the minimum amount of woke to keep her rabid fan base from canceling her.
Celebrities devalued Kamala and she devalued them. When all was said and done, intangible clout and hundreds of millions of dollars had been spent to launch the equivalent of New Coke. As Kamala sets out on her march to obscurity, the celebrities who celebrated her have also lost some of their wattage. The idea of the celebrity political endorsement is as dead as her career.
And deservedly so.
The Dixie Chicks complained during the Iraq War that people just wanted them to “shut up and sing”. But most people rightfully want entertainers to entertain them. Celebrities want to believe that they’re more important than they actually are. They’re not. Famous is not important. The ability to command attention is not the same thing as having your views taken seriously.
Making the jump from celebrity to leader, as Reagan did, requires thinking seriously about ideas and engaging with how people actually think and live. It also means leaving behind a wider audience that wants to hear you sing for a narrower one that wants to hear what you think.
At a Kamala rally in Atlanta, Megan Thee Stallion yelled out, “I know my ladies in the crowd love their body. And if you want to keep loving your body, you know who to vote for.”
Democrats have long rallied on these kinds of mindless celebrity shout-outs, but they do nothing except convince the public that both the candidate and the celebrity are hopelessly out of touch.
In a miserable economy, no one was turning to millionaires and billionaires for voting guidance. When times are hard, all the public wants of celebrities is to shut up and sing. And they couldn’t even do that.

2024 Election: The Insanity Is Unending

I bought breakfast for a friend and myself this week. I had a three egg mushroom omelet with three slices of tomato, my friend had an order of toast, and we both had coffee, I paid 13 dollars and a five dollar tip. Almost double of what it was four years ago. But

And Biden's staff says the media isn't being fair to poor ole Joe. They're "aggressively pushed back against the videos, calling them disrespectful and “cheap fakes.” “They are done in bad faith,” “false” and “purposely being altered". Like this one maybe.
Now that's creepy, and not one human being on the planet can show how that was "purposely altered", a "cheap fake", "false, "done in bad faith", or "disrespectful". They just filmed what happened. That's not disrespect, that's reporting the news on a man who sits behind the most powerful desk in the world and insists he's mentally sharp, insightful, decisive, and qualified for another four year term, and the Hollywood nitwits apparently agree having raised 30 million dollars for Ole Joe. Now just because Obama had to lead him off that stage isn't important. Because you see while it looks as if he froze, that not what really happened.

According to the media. He was merely taking in the applause. Of that's really true, that can leave us with only one conclusion. Obama was jealous of all that applause Joe Biden was getting and basking in all that glory, so he forced him off stage. Does that sound like a rational explanation? Do I understand that correctly? Nah, that's just more media corruption and propaganda.
"The truth hurts,.....When is confronted with that cold, hard reality, they offer ridiculous claims that anyone who clearly sees Biden acting like a brain-dead dope is part of some media-wide conspiracy,”......“That’s what happens when you have junior staffers and interns running Biden’s campaign strategy for a candidate who can barely walk and talk at the same time...."
Obama is the ultimate hypocrite. He's trying to claim Biden has it all together, and yet in the past Obama reportedly told Biden to quit the race back in January because it was clear he was unfit. And we're to believe almost six months later he all better now?
Then we have a host of egocentric nitwits like Chrissy Teigen who is in fear that if Trump is elected he's going to come after her. Really? She's that dangerous and that important? Where do these dimwits get the idea they're so important they're on Trump's radar? Who cares what they think, what they say, and for the most part what they do, which is generally has the intellectual depth of a puddle of cat urine on a sidewalk, and substantially low on the totem pole for class.
Well, here's what I'm really upset about. All these nitwit celebrities who absolutely swore they were going to leave the country if Trump was elected in 2016 and yet failed to keep their promise. Which was another demonstration of egos out of control and compounded with non existent intelligence. They apparently believed such a threat would get people to vote against Trump. Imagine that!
Well, I hope they start all that again, because that's an excellent reason to vote for Trump, only this time offer them a massive monetary reward for leaving. Provided they move to one of the following nations. Iran, Mexico, Haiti, Venezuela, China, N. Korea, Nigeria, South Africa, Pakistan, Afghanistan, or Russia. Then let's watch them protest against the leaders there. And even better yet, we'll liquidate all their assets and wire transfer all their wealth to the national bank of the nation of their choice. That should make them feel happy, safe, and comfortable. Don't you think?
Nah, there's a reason why so many celebrities are wanting to leave the leftist paradise called California. California is the Democrat's huckleberry, and yet it turns out that mess with all the chaos, homelessness, filth in the streets, closed businesses, rampant drug use, crime, violence, illegal immigrant invasion, illegal executive orders, economic incompetence, judicial corruption, and disgust at Newsome's failed administration, corruption and the collapse of all of America's major cities that are being destroyed by Democrats has taken it's toll on them, and they're leaving. Yet all that is exactly what these nitwit celebrities are promoting for the rest of the nation, claiming that “democracy and our children’s future” are at risk if former President Donald Trump re-takes the White House in November."

The View from Mount Olympus

The view from Mount Olympus is said to be spectacular, but few have ever seen it. Head up past the former homes of long dead movie stars and you can look down from the Hollywood Hills on WeHo’s gay nightlife and Russian restaurants, along with much of the rest of L.A.
With names like Hercules Dr, Zeus Dr, Apollo Dr, Jupiter Dr, and, of course, Mt. Olympus Dr, it’s truly a hangout for any gods with twenty million to spare. Reported celebrity residents and owners of the gated community with 24/7 security include Leonardo DiCaprio, Katy Perry, and Harrison Ford, but even more importantly here is the Ross House, a 13,000 square foot modernist monster, where Hollywood studios hold intimate receptions, screenings and award parties for the small club of those who are famous or can help make them even more famous.
The Ross House of Mt. Olympus is usually a brief entry in industry publications, but it embodies the vast gulf between how people down in L.A. live and how those who decide their fates do.
While Los Angeles has become a crime-ridden hellhole, Mt. Olympus, like many well-off neighborhoods in the area, enjoys private security patrols so that someone is always watching. The celebrities who come and go from private parties at exclusive locations like the Ross House have their own security and studios provide security for their events. In Greek myth, Mt. Olympus may have been difficult for mortals to reach, but the Los Angeles development has a regular commuter class of illegal alien maids, cleaners and gardeners, as well as security.
“The wealthy elite of Mount Olympus are some of the wealthiest and most influential people in all of Los Angeles,” one real estate agent gushes and that may be overstating it, but the 400 or so homes and the 800 or so residents of this Hollywood Hills enclave do live apart from the rest.
As do many of the immortals of the Hollywood Hills where crime is rare and junkies don’t sleep on the streets. And when crime does happen, even the most pro-crime prosecutors are much more responsive to the needs of those on high than to the troubles of those down below.
Every city has its class divides, but the heights of Mt. Olympus and its neighbors in the ‘Hills’ are a divide not only in geographic distance, but topological territory. To pause for a moment at a reception for an Oscar winner at Ross House and cast a brief gaze down below to where street level retail is vanishing and angry hobos roam the streets stabbing people is to be above it all.
Socialism is not an ideology of street-level social reformers, but of aspiring gods who look down and imagine moving people around like so many toys until everything fits perfectly. To be down on the street is to know that there is no perfection and that nothing will ever fit. And that all we have are the imperfect solutions of common sense and whatever character we can wrest from the chaos and technological tricks we can use to stay one step ahead of the entropy horizon.
Hollywood, the people who pretend to tell our stories, play with toys in an industry of them. There are the white roofs of the studios, the large prop rental facilities and a backlot of fake streets on which fake lives will be portrayed and fake lives depicted. And then after playtime is over, the men and women will drive up the narrow winding canyon roads along streets named for old legends, past the Greystone Mansion, where an oil tycoon’s murder-suicide inspired the movie ‘There Will Be Blood’, and where everything from Batman to Star Trek was filmed, to their estates up in the sky. Is it any wonder that they’re socialists? How could they be anything else.
The view from Mt. Olympus is not nearly as glorious as the Alps or the Rockies if what you value in life is natural beauty, but if what you love is power, then the twinkling fairylights of the Los Angeles landscape, the long roads and the endless springtime are ideological ambrosia.
Leftist politics are one part perpetual outrage, two parts magical thinking and four parts pagan godhood. The old days when powerful men could pretend to be gods were dashed by religion and then democracy. Until socialism, wealth bought you only so many privileges. Now it buys you the privilege of looking down and toying with the less well off in the name of social justice.
It doesn’t take much to toy with the really poor, but the genius of leftist politics is that the wildly rich can use it to grind down poorer rivals and aspiring members of the middle class. California’s upward mobility was turned upside down when success was more than just buying a mansion in one of the nicer parts of town, but moving uphill to rain misery on everyone down below.
California’s social justice class is even more effete than in most other places. Gov. Gavin Newsom carries vineyard country wherever he goes. The DSA socialists drive six figure cars when they go to protest for the homeless or Hamas. And their parents benevolently gaze down at them from Mt. Olympus: proud of how much Oliver and Sophia care about the ‘big’ issues.
Radicals are not made out of the molten metal of oppression but poured out of the golden crucible of prosperity. It isn’t the mobs rising up from the streets, but descending down from pricey prep schools like Harvard Westlake where the children of celebrities and their financial planners with few real skills go on to study gender theory at UCLA or USC in between shopping trips to hip boutiques on Rodeo Drive and protests around Grand Park.
The mediocre elites of Mt. Olympus have their McMansion versailles not despite their socialism, but because of it. Stockbrokers call for the redistribution of wealth, doctors demand that medicine be socialized, and celebrities champion the rise of the working man. Up in the sky, idealism seems more real than common sense and reality is for the lesser folks below.
The immortals may have to descend from Mt. Olympus to shop at Trader Joe’s (if they choose not to Instacart their order) where there are bums in the alley and tent encampments under the underpass, but a return to the heights also restores a sense of the rightness of things. In Manhattan, a liberal who had been mugged might become a conservative, but in the nicer parts of Los Angeles County, the liberal drives past the chaos, and escapes that sense of vulnerability by retreating to gated communities and estates policed by heavily armed private security.
It’s vulnerability that makes conservatives out of liberal immortals. Not just a mugging, but mortality in whatever form it comes whether it’s financial reverses, government abuses or just the passage of time. Leftist politics, like casinos and crypto, only work in a cloud of unreality. When reality touches our souls, then the impossible makes way for the realities of life.
What happens to a liberal who never gets mugged? He becomes an idiot immortal, living outside reality, convinced that everyone else could live that way too if only they voted like him.
Southern California is uniquely insulated from those realities. This is where the seasons do not change and time does not pass. Even as the cities decay and the suburbs empty out to Florida and Nevada, the immortals look down from the heights and believe that nothing has changed. Until one day they look down to find that there is nothing left to see underneath the mountain.

May 31 - Isn't it interesting that Hollywood, historians, the press and academicians forget the left's blacklist of actors?
The first use of the word "Blacklist"- in 1945! ............ The first use of the word "Blacklist"- in 1945. “Stars
Face Blacklist” screams the headline. Most people who’ve heard of the
blacklist will immediately think of Joe McCarthy in 1954, of witch hunts
and ruthless right wing inquisitors. But look again: the headline is
from 1945, the earliest known use of the term in Hollywood. It’s the
Hollywood Left threatening to boycott non-striking actors—in other
words, it’s the opposite of what you’d think. A lot of what people know
about that period just isn’t so. Communist writer Lillian Hellman later
called it “Scoundrel Time”. But a far better writer, Mary McCarthy,
famously said of Hellman, “Every word she ever wrote is a lie, including
“and” and “the””.
So far we have learned how
Party-backed union leadership tried to push out workers from other
unions, and how those bloody labor wars turned most of Hollywood against
them. It was a genuine case of revolt, led by the actors, and it caused
a generation of liberals to break with the Reds who presented
themselves as friends and allies before and during the war. By 1947 the
mutual process of kicking out the infidels was in full swing on both
sides of the Red line. Mere lily-livered socialists not up to backing
tough new Party policies were expelled. On the anti-Communist side,
union members who’d proven themselves faithless to IATSE had some
explaining to do. It was not always a gentle process but it was overdue. ..................
This series on Hollywood corruption is really timely. As you read this you will notice the same patterns used by the communists in the forties is identical to what we're seeing playing out by their philosophical progeny right now on the campuses of America's universities, and in cities like Seattle, Portland, etc.
They brought in thugs to reinforce their strikers, they destroyed buildings, and the media embraced them. I would like to point out it wasn't just the Hollywood unions that were thoroughly infested with communists agents, so too were the newspapers around the nation including, and especially, the New York Times.
We now know that's absolutely true from the VENONA intercepts. Stalinist agents infested all the institutions of America; academia, all the labor unions, the news industry, entertainment, and government, including all the agencies created by FDR, which FDR had to know about, including the OSS, which became the CIA, and those agents moved right over into the CIA, and yes, the Rosenbergs really were guilty.
The
information in Michael's series this isn't anything new, at least for those who
read history books. Unfortunately, America has abandoned reading,
especially history books, as a result real history is lost in the melee to historical clabber
such as is presented by Nikole Hannah-Jones and Howard Zinn.
Let's get one thing clear, the patterns of leftist behavior is the same forever, and everywhere. All these radical groups who are rioting and protesting such as BLM, Antifa, Occupy Was Street, along with those various leftist movers and shakers hidden in the background financing all this vile behavior are all "communists", irrespective of what they're calling themselves. If it quacks like a duck, and it walks like a duck, it's a duck. As this Canada Free Press author stated:
The left has become a collection of liars, and the lies can no longer be countenanced.
As for these protestors, including the paid protestors, are pretty much ignorant and stupid. They scream "river to the Sea, Palestine must be free". Ask them what river? What sea? Mostly, they don't have a clue.

Harold Witkov gave a apt description of these nitwits comparing these protestors to the 17-year cicadas saying:
- They both spend the majority of life underground
- They both make a lot of noise
- They both are preoccupied with sex
- They both are totally predictable
- They both are considered nuisance pests (though some college varieties can be dangerous)
- They both have more than their share of empty shell
One street interviewer shifted the text to "mountain to the sea", and asked a sign carrying protestor, "what mountain"? Of course, she had no idea, and she had no idea she'd just been hoodwinked. How ignorant and stupid can people be to be protesting for things they know nothing about? Answer? There's no limit to their stupidity, or their ignorance. Both of which are coupled with arrogance.
Of course that doesn't apply to communist and/or tyrannically led nations. They shoot you for that kind of heresy.
The messages show that the US and other nations were targeted in major espionage campaigns by the Soviet Union as early as 1942. Among those identified are Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, Alger Hiss, Harry Dexter White (the second-highest official in the Treasury Department), Lauchlin Currie[31] (a personal aide to Franklin Roosevelt), and Maurice Halperin[32] (a section head in the Office of Strategic Services).

There Are Vaccines, and There Are Not Vaccines
Celebrities can't tell the difference, and someone needs to be held accountable

Okay, let's deal with some foundational truths, and one of them is celebrities are idiots.
We've seen these celebrities hysterical and ignorant demands that everyone get these shots for covid, followed by a lot of virulent name calling and demands those who refuse to get these shots be punished and/or imprisoned. Because of that insanity people who refused to get these shots, and had serious medical issues, were refused treatment, and they died.
Who pays for those lives?
All this for a virus that has a 99.7% recovery rate. As it turned out these shots that are not vaccines. These shots don't immunize nor do they prevent transmission, which before this political inspired pandemic was what legally defined what constituted a vaccine. Now there's evidence these shots make people more susceptible to covid. These are gene manipulating chemical compounds that have turned out the be deadly, and the negative health impact will be decades in the making.
Back in the late 50's there was a drug called Thalidomide causing deformities in babies. Testing showed it was an amazingly safe drug, with multiple applications, except in turned out it wasn't safe for pregnant women. This triggered a worldwide outrage. How many children were effected? Under 15,000 worldwide. This is our Thalidomide era, only the deaths and negative health consequences from these covid shots are going to be in the millions. Where's the worldwide outrage? Who answers for those lives?
But here's the real kicker.
Does anyone besides me think it's amazing these are the same idiots who just a few years ago were demanding we stop vaccinating children with legitimate vaccines because they idiotically claimed these Mumps, Measles, and Rubella (MMR) vaccines caused autism. I almost hate to post comments about this because I feel like a broken record saying the same things over and over again.
Real vaccines don’t cause autism. Real vaccines saved millions of lives. At the end of WWII the world's population was around two billion people. There's approximately eight billion now, and make no mistake about it, vaccination played a huge role in saving million of lives, right along with pesticides allowing humanity go produce massive amounts of food. Both of which these nitwits oppose.
There was absolutely no science to support this autism nonsense. Every study that has come out has absolutely demonstrated this was a lie. A lie perpetrated by a corrupt doctor and stupid Hollywood celebrities.
Failure to vaccinate in a society causes disease, heartbreak and unnecessary deaths! In 2019 the worst measles outbreak in decades swept New York as cases surge in Oregon and Washington, which can only be prevented by vaccination.
These irrational activists keep making idiotic claims with a stunning lack of consistency. They've convinced caring parents that they are protecting their precious children when in reality they are removing important shields for good health and life. And then turned around and insisted their children, who rarely contract covid, get these potentially deadly shots.
These people have no credibility and clearly no intelligence. They're actors! While they can really fake it to make it appear they actually know what they are talking about, what they're usually doing is merely promoting the leftist meme of the moment. And society listens to them!
Yesterday they were waiters, waitresses, or parking cars and pumping gas, but now because they sing, act, or dance better than everyday people their opinions on life are sought out. Remarkable. Are we to assume that the only way the actual experts are going to be listened to is it they become famous dancers, singers or actors?
How did we get so brain dead?
Patrice Lewis of Rural Revolution recommended my blog saying: "One thing about this guy - he doesn't hold back!" One of her readers posted this comment. "He doesn't hold back! Well that's putting it nicely…….. I definitely won't be visiting that blog again. He's just about as abrasive as a sandblaster."
It fascinates me that some are so worried about the sensitivities of those selling death to children. I absolutely wonder at people’s priorities....and their sanity. I commenting back, “As for being abrasive; how can someone be gentle with those who are promoting death?"- Who will answer for the poor children who become afflicted with measles?
- Who will answer for the the side effects of that disease?
- Who will answer for those children who die as a result of the decision by their parents thinking they were protecting their children's health and life?
What kind of agony must these parents go through?
What we have here is suicide by success. We have gone so long without serious public health disasters that we have come to believe as a culture that it is our right not to have public health disasters. Well, that isn't the way it works. We created this society by, among other things, vaccinating, applying pesticides, and putting chlorine in our water to save lives and that is exactly what has happened.
It is interesting that those life saving tools are the ones most likely to be attacked by these irrational people. There has got to be some way to stop them. Where are the ambulance chasing attorneys when you need them? It is my belief that if a few of these people were sued by parents whose children died as a result of not getting vaccinated, then things would change.
As for this fake pandemic, and these covid shots, there's a lot of people who need to go to prison for what's been done, and Fauci is at the top of the list.

Will Celebrity Endorsements Impact the 2024 Election?
Hollywood elites might not be the kingmakers they think they are.

Stephen Colbert, host of The Late Show, has decided to take it on the road for the first time – and the media is all abuzz. The big deal isn’t that the comedian will be leaving the comforts of his studio; it’s that he’ll be performing live in Chicago during the Democratic National Convention this August. He won’t be doing the same for the Republican National Convention, of course. Celebrity endorsements are nothing new, and since Hollywood traditionally leans to the left, it’s not surprising Colbert and others are stepping up to promote President Joe Biden. But will it make a difference come November?
The Power of Celebrity Endorsements
CBS announced that Colbert will broadcast his show from the Auditorium Theatre from August 19 to 22, and some conservative media outlets are crying foul. But will he – or any other celebrity, for that matter – sway the election with his endorsement? When Taylor Swift performed at the Super Bowl, there was a lot of talk about how she would influence the election, especially if she endorsed Biden. Monmouth University released a survey in February that found that 18% of Americans “think that a covert government effort for Taylor Swift to help Joe Biden win the presidential election actually exists.” Former President Donald Trump even got into the discussion, urging the celebrity not to endorse the incumbent, saying, “Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will.”
But just how much sway do celebrity endorsements have? Some experts
suggest Hollywood has very little influence and that voters will make
up their own minds without heeding the advice of the stars. Daron Shaw, a
professor in the Department of Government at the University of Texas,
conducted research on the topic. “These endorsements haven’t made a ton
of difference, certainly not in partisan contests between Republicans
and Democrats,” he observed. Shaw suggested that being supported by
certain entertainment figures could even be a detriment. “There is a
little bit of tango between controversial figures and the campaign,
which is not just the vote that you’re interested in when it comes to a
presidential campaign. You’re interested in driving media, in driving
volunteers, and you’re interested in driving contributions.”
Still, political figures court support from celebrities, and not just because they have deep pockets. Swift, for example, endorsed Biden for 2020, which, according to Vote.org, brought in more than 35,000 voter registrations. Biden likely hopes to benefit from her popularity and influence again as the 2024 election approaches.
How have celebrity endorsements helped in presidential elections in the past? In 2008, there was “The Oprah Factor,” which some claim was a deciding element in electing former President Barack Obama. Oprah Winfrey had a lot of fans and received nearly ten million viewers a day for her talk show, not to mention subscribers to her magazine, O. A September 2008 Pew survey found that 60% of respondents believed Oprah’s endorsement would help Obama’s campaign.
Throughout history, celebrity endorsements have seemed to have an impact on presidential elections. In 1920, singer Al Jolson threw his support behind Republican candidate Warren G. Harding with a song titled “Hardy, You’re the Man for Us.” Some of the lyrics included, “It’s Harding, lead the GOP, Harding, onto victory.” Since Calvin Coolidge was Harding’s running mate, the song also included him with lyrics such as, “We know we’ll always find you with Coolidge right behind you, and Coolidge never fails, you must agree.” Harding won the presidency with almost 75% of the Electoral College and nearly 65% of the popular vote.
So which Hollywood elites are supporting Biden and Trump? Here’s a brief breakdown:
Celebrity Supporters Abound
Batting for the incumbent president is Jeffrey Katzenberg, former chairman of Walt Disney Studios from 1984 to 1994. He is also the national co-chair for Biden’s 2024 campaign. There’s also Lady Gaga, who endorsed Biden in 2020 and even performed at his inauguration. She hasn’t confirmed who she’ll vote for this election, but in April 2023, she was appointed co-chair of the President’s Committee on the Arts, effectively making her an adviser to the president. Other notables include Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane, Tom Hanks, Eva Longoria, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bruce Springsteen, Beyoncé, Ellen DeGeneres, LeBron James, and Meryl Streep.
Giving their support to the former president are singer Kid Rock, Frasier star Kelsey Grammer, actors Jon Voight, Roseanne Barr, Dennis Quaid, James Wood, Kevin Sorbo, and football star Brett Favre.
The Cost of Doing Business
As each side continues to rack up celebrity endorsements, the stars also have to take into consideration their personal capital. During the contentious election of 2016, a swath of Hollywood elites announced that if Trump won, they would be hightailing it from the USA and seeking to make their lives in more progressive climes. The La La Land exodus failed to materialize, and life continued much as before – albeit with somewhat more online TDS on display.
Celebrities hitching their wagons to politicians can come with great cost to credibility, and after the last few years of political vitriol, one wonders just how much of their hard-earned reputations these stars are willing to either commit or squander.

Are we approaching the day when people will understand there can be no apologizing for telling the truth? You can never apologize enough to satisfy them. Well, how's this?
