Early this morning I posted my commentary on the Texas gerrymandering issue, and made it clear the outrage and hypocrisy by Democrats was the least of their worries.  Little did I know how prescient that was. 

 President Trump has now ordered a new census, and has made it clear only America citizens will be counted, ending a significant number of House of Representative seats for the Democrats. 

Can the President legally do such a thing? Yes, he can!  As the Heritage Foundation has reported:

In a shocking report that has not received the attention it deserves, the U.S. Census Bureau recently admitted that its 2020 Census count of the American population was incorrect in at least 14 states.

 And those mistakes were costly to certain states in terms of congressional representation, number of electors, and money those states are likely to receive from the federal government during the next decade. To put the scope of these mistakes into perspective, contrast the errors in the Census Bureau’s latest recount (the 2020 Post-Enumeration Survey, or PES) with the recount from a decade ago (the 2010 Post-Enumeration Survey)—in which there was a net overcount of a mere 0.01 percent (36,000 people), a statistically insignificant error.

As explained below, as a result of these errors, Florida did not receive two additional congressional seats and Texas did not receive one more congressional seat. Meanwhile, two other states, Minnesota and Rhode Island, each retained a congressional seat that they should have lost, and Colorado gained a new seat to which it was rightfully not entitled.

Trump tried to end counting illegal aliens in the past and faced court challenges over that.  If that happens again, and I have no doubt it will, and the courts find against him, he just may embrace the Jacksonian solution.  Ignore them.  

Update: While a mid-decade census is legal it is "intended, among other things, to be used to re-allocate spending in government programs, not to reapportion Congress. So, contrary to some speculation, nothing the administration does now can impact the 2026 election."  As for not counting illegal aliens that's also problematic.  Follow the link to see the reason why. 

California Protects Illegal Who Bought Girl for Beer

Things are not happy in Monterey County. The California county, which Kamala won by 63%, is considered a ‘sanctuary’ for illegal aliens by the Department of Homeland Security.

But that sanctuary status was recently violated and local officials are outraged. So is the Solidarity Network: a pro-illegal alien group that ‘monitors’ immigration enforcement arrests.

Monterey County Board of Supervisors Chair Chris Lopez responded by announcing that a maternal health walk was cancelled. “Monterey County deeply values the contributions of our immigrant workers and families that strengthen our local communities and economy,” Monterey County Supervisor Luis Alejo posted. The Monterey Solidarity Network promised to fight.

“A family man was taken from the street as he was taking his son to school,” the pro-illegal organization that had vowed to fight against President Trump’s immigration enforcement fumed. “How is ripping a man from his family, outside of his home, terrorizing his children, considered ‘compassionate’?”

Considering the arrested man’s past relationship with a child: it might be very compassionate.

Back in the first year of the Obama administration, Monterey County was being enriched with exciting customs and two Mexican immigrants in the local city of Greenfield decided to transact a beautiful custom when the father of a 14-year-old girl traded her for 160 cases of beer, 100 cases of soda, 50 cases of Gatorade and assorted other foods along with $16,000.

Sadly the happy prospective nuptials between man and child were not to last because Marcelino de Jesus Martinez, the girl’s father, didn’t get his soda and beer, and called the cops on Maragrito de Jesus Galindo, his prospective son-in-law and failed provider of drinks.

Martinez had traded his daughter for beverages that he didn’t receive, and now he wanted a refund and perhaps his daughter back to trade for something better, maybe sandwiches or a lifetime of meals at Red Lobster.

The police arrived and arrested everyone involved on the grounds that Monterey County is pretty open-minded, but it wasn’t quite that open-minded. At least back then.

Greenfield Police Chief Joe Grebmeier said that selling girls as young as 12 has “become a local problem.”

“When I’m in Mexico, I have to respect Mexican laws. When you’re in the United States, you have to respect United States laws. That’s the bottom line,” he told CNN.

Three years later Grebmeier was ousted and the exact borders of Mexico and California have become debatable. The majority of the Greenfield City Council is Mexican and a good deal of local officials are as likely to follow Mexican laws as American ones.

While the media forgets, ICE has a long memory. They came, they saw and they arrested Maragrito de Jesus Galindo to the outraged protests of the pro-illegal alien activists at Solidarity Now who told reporters that they’re trying to find the soda groom a lawyer.

Even though he might well prefer a 14-year-old to a lawyer.

“Historically, immigrants have been scapegoated for many societal ills, and the current administration is trying that same old tactic. We urge the community to remember that immigrants have built this country, and that they are the backbone of the local agricultural and hospitality industries,” Monterey’s Solidarity Network complained.

And apparently the local beverage child trafficking industry.

ICE wasn’t scapegoating immigrants for societal ills since trading children for beer is not an American custom, as the media spent the worst part of a month in 2009 explaining to us.

This particular “societal ill” is not American and is being shielded by California officials.

ICE decided that the local family man might be better off in his home country where, as the media claimed at the time, selling children for beer is a “normal and honorable” custom.

Meanwhile California could do without its custom of sanctuary areas and pro-illegal activists.

Monterey’s Solidarity Network urges anyone to report ICE raids. This could be characterized as interference with federal law enforcement. And while some pro-illegal groups operate outside the law, the local Solidarity Network raises money through the Watsonville Law Center: a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit. That’s something that the IRS could put a stop to any time.

For now, ICE must chase men who practice their “traditional custom” of buying underage girls in exchange for beverages despite the interference of sanctuary counties and a sanctuary state.

From Gov. Gavin Newsom on down, the state’s rulers turn away from witnessing child abuse and instead use every possible leverage to prevent immigration authorities from doing their job.

“A family man was taken from the street,” the Solidarity Network mourned. But perhaps the citizens of Greenfield, Monterey County and California are better off for it.

The larger question is whether the custom of selling girls as young as 12 years old in Monterey County, which its old police chief described as a “local problem” has gone away or is being covered up. And unless federal law enforcement looks into it, we may never really know.

Sanctuary cities don’t just shield illegal aliens, they shield some of the worst crimes imaginable.

There should be no sanctuary and no safe spaces for men who trade girls for beer.

Once upon a time we understood that. Perhaps one day, Americans will be unable to believe that a political party and a state government did everything possible to protect such men.

The Governor of Massachusetts is a Hoot!

“ICE agents stormed the islands of Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard and arrested 40 illegal immigrants — but Massachusetts' Democratic Governor Maura Healey demanded 'answers' and 'clarification' from ICE about the covert operation.” (DailyMail)

You’d think the irate Healey lived there, but you’d be wrong. She lives in Arlington, MA, with her partner Joanna Lydgate.

Healey may come to regret a comment she made: “It's one thing to go after and target those who have committed crimes, who are here unlawfully.”

So what’s the difference between those who are there illegally and those who are just there unlawfully? Healey didn’t define that for anyone.

“It's concerning when we see people, moms and dads, being ripped away from families,” Healey said. “Neighbors, coworkers taken away, literally it looks like, on the way to job sites in Nantucket and on the Vineyard.”

She must be worried about who is going to cut the grass, even though the apprehended included an MS-13 member and a child sex offender. But, damn, someone has to manicure the lawns and wash those pots and pans.

Healey must have forgotten that she was the MA Attorney General when forty-nine illegals were dropped off on Martha’s Vineyard in September 2022 and given the bum’s rush forty-seven hours later. She was silent on that matter.

But masked residents jumped right in 2022 and fed the illegals, gave some cots to sleep on, and waved goodbye to them within two days.

"Everything from beds to food to clothing to toothbrushes, toothpaste, blankets, sheets — I mean, we had some of it ... but we did not have the numbers that we needed," said Lisa Belcastro. She runs the island's homeless shelter in one of the wealthiest areas of the country.

Local high school students served as translators for the Spanish-speaking group, mostly from Venezuela, who arrived with the help of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Despite their false claims, residents wanted them out as fast as possible in 2022.

DeSantis, said during a speech in Iowa in 2023: “We even were able to deliver 50 illegal aliens to beautiful Martha’s Vineyard. They said they were a sanctuary area. They had signs saying nobody is illegal. They said all the refugees and the illegals are welcome and then they deported them the next day. Are you kidding me?”

His speech was met with cheers and applause. Everyone in the country knew by then the hypocrisy of the residents called “Bay Staters” or “Massholes,” if you want to be crude.

Tourist season is upon Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, extra hands are needed, and Healey claims she wasn’t notified about the raid.

According to the DailyMail: “Healey's comments sparked immediate and furious backlash from Trump administration DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

“She told Fox News that local authorities were notified about the operation.

“Before the Governor criticizes our brave law enforcement, she should get her facts straight—apparently, she is the one with ‘zero information,’ McLaughlin said.

“What we find ‘disturbing’ and ‘concerning’ is politicians like Massachusetts Gov. Healey fighting to protect criminal illegal aliens.

“Our ICE officers will continue putting their lives and safety on the line to arrest murderers, kidnappers, and pedophiles that were let into our country by the Biden administration's open border policies.”

Vermont Tutors Illegal Aliens on How to Slip the Grip of ICE

Progressives use government task force to protect illegals and expose citizens to risks.

President Donald Trump has not announced any plans to deport foreigners who are legally in the US. Rather, he’s focusing federal resources solely on protecting Americans from violent offenders. Still, progressive ideologues across the nation have rallied to “protect” people illegally in the country from enforcement of longstanding immigration laws. Vermont, an outspoken bastion of sanctuary protections, has created a “Task Force on the Federal Transition Panel,” Stacked completely with pro-immigrant partisans, to prioritize the “safety” of people illegally in the state (including violent gang members) above the health and safety of taxpaying citizens.

Sanctuary State of Mind

The shamelessly anti-Trump panel is charged with “reviewing key steps workplaces can take to be prepared for a visit from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel.” This is consistent with Vermont’s oxymoronic “Fair and Impartial Policing” policy created as part of a 2017 law that prohibits local and state police from assisting federal authorities in immigration-related civil actions such as traffic stops.

The new Task Force was created by Vermont Treasurer Mike Pieciak, a Democrat who has his eyes set on running for governor of the Green Mountain State. In announcing his patently partisan plan, Pieciak invoked the fears of people illegally in the state while ignoring the concerns of endangered native Vermonters:

“The Trump Administration’s attacks on immigrants have stoked fear, confusion, and distrust throughout Vermont’s communities.

“These measures could have a profound impact on our economy, particularly our agricultural sector and housing development, both of which rely heavily on immigrant labor to support their workforce. I’m honored to partner with local and national experts to help ensure Vermont employers and their workers know what to do should ICE come knocking.”

Criminal Welcome Mat

It is unclear how much of the state’s housing shortage is due to illegal migrants who settle under Vermont’s “Welcome illegals!” sanctuary banner. Many Vermonters believe progressives abuse taxpayers by imposing a dangerous political ideology of lawlessness and open borders. The task force does not appear interested in hearing from police officers or citizens on the front lines of the state’s growing crime wave.

The recent murder of Vermont Border Patrol Agent David “Chris” Maland, apparently by members of an extremist transgender cult, has sparked a backlash against lax immigration law enforcement. Pieciak’s crocodile tears for illegal farm and housing laborers have invited gang trafficking of drugs and sex workers into what historically has been the safest state in the nation.

Vermonters are dying from fentanyl overdoses. Murders committed by out-of-state gang members have become familiar headlines. Progressives have wrongfully attacked Vermont’s police officers as racist for arresting “people of color” at higher rates than its domestic demographics – ignoring the high proportion of violators who are not Vermont residents.

Venezuelan Felons in the Green Mountains

On Jan. 27, Venezuelan Jorge Humberto Moreno Martinez was apprehended following a reckless car chase. Court records reflect that Martinez was previously deported after serving three-and-a-half years for a New York felony burglary conviction. He re-entered the US illegally, resulting in his recent re-arrest:

“Court records also state that when agents from the Department of Homeland Security attempted to arrest Moreno at a parking lot in Williston, on January 27, Moreno fled in a vehicle, hitting three law enforcement vehicles before travelling at more than 100 miles per hour on a busy street before he was apprehended. As he drove, items were discarded from Moreno’s vehicle. Law enforcement recovered some of those items, which tested presumptively positive for cocaine base and cocaine.”

Vermont’s sanctuary policies – allied with such “reforms” as defunding the police, decriminalization, cashless bail, and lax probation standards – have seeded a crime spree that puts innocent citizens at risk. The alleged “sufferings” of illegals and the faux argument that Vermont must defy federal laws to “help the farmers” (another exploitation) is growing tiresome for voters.

Vermont Farmers Exploited by Progressives

The farmers exploited by Pieciak are mostly cow-milkers, of which there are now fewer than 600 in the state. These farms indeed depend on immigrant farm labor for arduous agriculture work, but that doesn’t mean all farm laborers are here illegally or that dairy farmers support protecting violent criminals.

One Vermont dairyman who operates a 1,500-cow farm in Irasburg –near to where Maland was slain — agreed to talk with Liberty Nation News. Like most Vermont dairies, his farm maintains all required legal paperwork for its immigrant workers. But this dairyman very much disagrees with Pieciak’s alarmist representations:

“Arresting dangerous felons is just returning to the way it was before the Biden administration. Over the decades, we’ve had people picked up by immigration, but usually, they are allowed to come back to work if they are not charged with violent or illegal activity. I only remember one person ever being kept in custody because he had a charge of some sort. But if one of them is guilty of dealing drugs or committing violent crimes, I want them to be arrested to keep our communities safe, same as any American citizen. Sure, I’m a dairy farmer, but I’m also a father and grandfather who wants my family safe.”

Violent Gangs Victimize Vermonters

Vermonters recognize what government progressives like Pieciak appear to find cognitively dissonant: not all “undocumented entrants” are victims. As Rep. Tom McLintock (R-CA) recently attested:

“[W]orst of all, among these illegal migrants have come the most violent, dangerous, and malevolent criminals and criminal gangs in the world, while sanctuary laws in democratic jurisdictions protect them as they prey on innocent Americans.”

Venezuelan felon Martinez does not appear to have been serving Vermonters by laboring on a dairy farm. Pieciak shamelessly invokes farmers as justification to resist ICE. As more Vermonters die from fentanyl traceable to organized gangs and open borders, the sober reality of the real victims becomes more evident. Pieciak will have to answer to the family and community of any Vermonter murdered or raped by an “unauthorized entrant” protected by government actors using taxpayer dollars. After all, he helped to create a sanctuary for violent criminals.

California, Oregon Helping Illegal Immigrants Buy Homes

Editor's Note:  If there ever was evidence that the insane leftist Cloward-Piven strategy was in play here, with the goal of destroying the United States and overturning the Constitution, this is it.  California's broke, and has a massive deficit, and unlike the federal government, they can't print money, and the biggest tax producers are moving out of the state.  Where do they think that money is going to come from?  They think if they can hold onto power at the federal level they'll steal money from the other states via federal grants and other schemes.   RK

Federal and state governments spend hundreds of billions per year on illegal immigrants. The funding is not so much about keeping border crossers out of the country but dedicating taxpayer resources to cover the cost of their health care, education, and welfare benefits. What is the latest scheme from a couple of state legislatures? Help undocumented immigrants purchase a residential property at a time when home prices are at record highs.

California’s Illegal Immigrants Buying Homes

California lawmakers aim to be the nation’s first state to extend illegal immigrants up to $150,000 in government-supported home loans. The program is called the “California Dream for All,” a taxpayer-funded initiative that provides 20% in down payment assistance. Eligibility is quite simple: applicants must be first-time homebuyers, at least one must be a first-generation homebuyer, and income levels must be below certain levels.

Democratic Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula, who authored AB 1840, told Politico that the Golden State wants to be inclusive even if it insults citizens desperate to achieve the American Dream of homeownership. “We simply wanted to be as inclusive as possible within our policies so that all who are paying taxes here in our state were able to qualify,” Arambula said in an interview with the news publication. “Without the intentional law that we are introducing, we felt that there were complexities and questions that many in the immigrant community would have.”

The legislation passed by 12 votes (23 to 11) on Aug. 27, thanks to a Democratic supermajority. Six Democrats abstained from voting. It is unclear if Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) will sign the legislation, with a spokesperson telling the press that he does not comment on pending legislation without evaluating the public policy on its merits. Meanwhile, funding was not allocated to the program because of the sizable budget deficit for the fiscal year. The shortfall is projected to reach as high as $70 billion in the coming years while the state grapples with a $1.6 trillion debt.

The legislative pursuit captured the attention of billionaire Elon Musk, who also referenced the free medical care the state is offering illegals. “Seems like half of Earth should move to California, given all the incentives to do so,” he said on the social media platform X.

State Republicans have questioned the need for the latest housing campaign, alluding to California’s tens of billions of dollars of red ink, which is already forcing officials to consider budget cuts. Perhaps lawmakers are betting that illegal immigrants will not utilize the program, considering that the median home price is at an all-time high of $900,000, according to the California Association of Realtors.

California will not be the only state to embrace such a public housing policy.

Oregon Does California

Records given to the Daily Caller suggest that Oregon is handing out tens of thousands of dollars to illegal immigrants and non-US citizens to buy homes. The program, managed by the Hacienda Community Development Corp. through its Camino a Casa initiative, involves providing $30,000 for down payment assistance. It reportedly excludes American citizens from eligibility.

 

Hacienda CDC is funded partially by the Economic Equity Investment Program (EEIP), a project created by the state legislature in 2022 through the Economic Equity Investment Act. Over the last two years, the legislation has distributed approximately $20 million to fund organizations such as Hacienda CDC that offer “culturally responsive services to support economic stability, self-sufficiency, wealth building, and economic equity among disadvantaged individuals, families, businesses, and communities.”

Like California, the Oregon real estate market faces a housing affordability crisis. Median home prices are above $500,000 amid a housing shortage. The Oregon Office of Economic Analysis data highlights that just 19% of people living in the Portland metro area can afford a home with a 5% down payment.

Welfare Wall

While former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris – yes, you read that right! – support (or claim to support) constructing a wall on the US-Mexico border, the plethora of welfare programs dedicated to illegal immigrants will continue to appeal to people across Latin America.

As Liberty Nation News has reported over the years, states and cities nationwide are subsidizing illegal immigration through their costly expenditures, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Earlier this year, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) proposed fast-tracking migrants for government jobs, essentially inventing new state positions. This is in addition to state-funded Medicaid coverage and pre-paid debit cards. Denver has given migrants “housing assistance options.” Illegal immigrants can access free health care coverage in the nation’s capital. Virginia recently expanded state-funded health insurance to illegal immigrant minors. Chicago is paying for illegal immigrants’ legal costs.

The down payment assistance efforts in California and Oregon might be unrealistic, but they are another example of how lawmakers are subsidizing illegal immigration. Why would someone bother coming to the US through the proper channels when they will be rewarded for jumping ahead of the line and breaking the law? Additionally, these endeavors are comparable to the economic concept of the Cobra Effect, an unintended consequence of a public policy attempting to solve a problem but instead worsening the matter altogether. Would a welfare wall be more effective than a physical barrier?

Definition Lead to Clarity, and Both Are Sorely Lacking!

One of my 200 rules is:  Definition leads to clarity.  Clarity leads to understanding.  Understanding leads to wisdom.  Wisdom leads to good decision making.  And now you know why there are so many stupid decisions being made, a failure to define things properly.

Let's start with the idea "character counts"!  Recently Paul Ryan just had to tell the world he wasn't voting for Donald Trump because "character" matters.  Okay, so, since he doesn't like Trump's character, the implication he does like Biden's character, the corrupt head of a crime family.

It's really interesting since that's exactly what Cindy McCain said, "character counts", so she's supporting Joe Biden! Imagine that. The implication is that Biden, and the McCain's, were exemplars of good character, while Trump is the prime example of bad character, thus disqualifying him for the Presidency. 

Okay, he's certainly had his character issues, no one can dispute that, but Cindy McCain calling anyone's character into issue is really rich.  Her husband had a lifetime of character issues that were questionable, and using the world questionable is being kind.  It was her husband who was caught in the Keating Five scandal, one of the biggest financial scandals in the country, and the New Phoenix Times reported at the time - McCain was the "guiltiest, most culpable, most reprehensible of the Keating Five", and nothing changed throughout his life, including being real buddies with Joe Biden, the head of the Biden Crime Family.   An empty Senate seat would have done a much better job at representing the people of Arizona, and the nation, than John McCain.  An empty seat can't vote! 

Remember it was Paul Ryan who said Ketanji Brown Jackson was a wonderful pick for the Supreme Court. Well, I followed that story from front to back, and that story was an ugly confirmation of the quality of her intelligence, her understanding of law, and her character.  

And Ryan is a judge of what constitutes character? Remarkable!

Since these people really have a unique perspective on what constitutes "character", perhaps it tells a lot more about their character than those they condemn.  Here's the reality.  These nitwits don't come out and say “I’m in it for me; get used to it, peasant”, and they don't have to.  Their actions show it. 

There's just no end to the lunacy of the left.  We have these misfit students out protesting instead of gong to class, studying, and preparing to productively taking their place in the world, so now they're demanding they get a free pass on their finals, and I approve.  Why?   It was Napoleon who said never interfere with an enemy when he's making a mistake, so, I encourage these "students" to continue down this path.  Guess what?  Their legal careers are already down the toilet.  Now they can become what they're best qualified for.  Career protestors.  Schadenfreude!

I also applaud the academics who encourage and enable them because their mistakes are compounding, and hopefully the end result will be a total destruction of America's academic culture as it's currently configured, full of anti America DEI dimwits and plagiarists who've turned academia into an abscessed canker sore on America's butt.

The end result?  There's going to be a demand to end their funding, absolutely the end of this idiot student loan forgiveness nonsense, and in the long run I hope to see a lot fewer universities in existence, and each and every one of them made into for profit institutions with no government funding of any kind, and the end of the Department of Education. After all, isn't 45 years of failure enough already?

It turns out illegal aliens think they have rights, ergo, they have demands.  "Demands" mind you, and they've given the City of Denver  a list of 13 'demands' for services .  Services for criminals, imagine that.  Remember, they're here illegally, ergo, they're criminals, they're not citizens of the United States and they have no rights.

 

And do you doubt this has been orchestrated by leftist lunatic lawyers, just like the Columbia Law School protestors?  Well, as P.T. Barnum said: "Never give a sucker an even break", and they know they're dealing with suckers. So.... I don't blame them, I blame these suckers falling for all this leftist claptrap. The people of Denver wanted to be a sanctuary city, so they chose this, and they deserve this! Schadenfreude!

However, I hope they keep it up demanding more, and more, and more because it won't be long before the rest of the nation says.....ENOUGH! And kicks the whole bunch out and forces them over the border into Mexico with the help of the American military declaring this is an invasion of the United States with Mexico being collaborators to the invasion.

When the klaxon sounds on an military instillation that means battle stations, and there's no excuse for not hearing it, or responding to it.   Yet, one of the things that's amazed me for years is how Jews, the smartest people in the world, can be so stupid, especially American Jews.  

Antisemitism is part of the philosophical core of leftism, and has been since the French Revolution. And that's been obvious to the most casual observer, and yet America's Jews refuse to see that and have been part of the backbone of the Democrat party.

Well, stupid has it's consequences, and we're seeing those consequences playing out on America's university campuses, and in the Biden administration.  They're so blatantly antisemitic every Jew in the world should be afraid!  Because if there is no America, there will be no one who will defend Jews or Israel.

Illinois Gov. Pritzker Signs Law Allowing Illegal Aliens to Police Americans…

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) has signed into law a plan that allows foreign nationals with work permits, some of whom are illegal aliens, to become police officers in the sanctuary state.Democrat legislators, with a supermajority in the Illinois House and Senate, passed legislation in June that opens law enforcement jobs to thousands of illegal aliens enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program as well as thousands of other foreign nationals with work permits from the federal government.

Illegal Aliens as Police Officers? Blue State Dems Says Yes

Trailblazing for progressives, Illinois House and Senate legislators have passed House Bill 3751 and sent it to Gov. JB Pritzker’s sturdy desk for final signature. The bill will allow Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals — DACA — “to apply for positions as police officers, deputy sheriffs, or special policeman.” But the governor seems paralyzed to make it official: It’s been in limbo since mid-June.

Supporters of DACA individuals see this as a way to engage immigrants in the process of American law, but opponents don’t want undocumented people running about with firearms and policing citizens.

Gun Grabbers Giving Aliens Guns?

“I just want a small door (open) for a certain group of people to be able to carry a gun. I’m not saying all undocumented people. I’m just saying if you apply and you are accepted, let’s give you a chance to own, to carry or possess a gun,” the measure’s Democratic sponsor Rep. Barbara Hernandez said. “And maybe what the federal government can say is once you retire, or once you’re out of the job for whatever reason, you don’t have that ability anymore.”

Of course, no one can agree on who should be able to carry a firearm in the United States. On the Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) site is a plain-as-day warning: “The Gun Control Act (GCA), codified at 18 U.S.C. § 922(g), makes it unlawful for certain categories of persons to ship, transport, receive, or possess firearms or ammunition, to include any person: who is an illegal alien.”

“Unfortunately, it’s strictly symbolic,” state Rep. John Cabello, a Republican and detective with the Rockford Police Department, said of the bill. “It doesn’t do anything until the feds do something about the federal law.”

And there is the rub: What’s the point? Viewed from a different angle, why do so many progressive Democrats want to implement gun control restrictions on Americans while trying to arm undocumented people? Seems counterproductive at best.

In this weird start to the 2024 election showdown, is Illinois simply trolling for progressives’ votes and following lockstep with a West Coast sanctuary state and East Coast municipality: California and the District of Columbia?

They Did It for DACA

Hernandez admits she got the idea from California, one of several states that have passed similar legislation. Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a law that requires aliens and DACA folks to have only a work permit in the United States to join the force. The revised law reads as such:

“The bill would remove the provision that requires peace officers to either be a citizen of the United States or be a permanent resident who is eligible for and has applied for citizenship and would instead  require peace officers be legally authorized to work in the United States and make conforming changes.”

The District of Columbia also implemented similar changes to its Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Amendment Act of 2022. It needs police and hopes that DACA folks will want to swell the ranks, which could fast-track citizenship.

“As an agency, we truly believe that a workforce representing our community brings various ideas, experiences, and perspectives. Together, this blend drives innovation and growth,” said interim Chief of Police Ashan Benedict.

The city is down to only 3,400 metro police. The goal is 4,200 in 10 years: A nice carrot of $25,000 is offered as a signing bonus to get there.

Undoubtedly, all Democratic calls to de-fund the police have taken a toll. Now it’s time to fund DACA recipients to choose a career in law enforcement. And Illinois seems to be okay with this new program.  Blue Island Police Chief  spoke at the General Assembly in Springfield, revealing he had one DACA recruit and was hoping for more. “It, at times, is difficult to provide the services to the community without being able to communicate with them,” Farr said. “It’s important that the Police Department reflects the makeup of the community, and what better means do we have than to recruit Hispanic officers.”

The pleas from law enforcement had both sides of the political divide agreeing to push the legislation forward and encourage Pritzker to sign it into law.

What you may not know about the Illinois State Assembly is that even if Pritzker washes his hands and vetoes the bill, Democrats in both chambers can override the governor with supermajority power. And that will give 30,000 DACA recipients in Illinois a big checkmark in the American Dream column.

With the ongoing invasion over the last two years by millions of foreigners at our southern border, America has a much bigger election integrity problem than before Joe Biden became president. So, just how did California, Arizona, New Mexico and other states with large enclaves of illegal aliens ensure that the recent invaders (as well as the millions of previous invaders from decades past) didn’t vote in the November 8 federal elections?..............

Clause 1, Section 4, of Article I of the Constitution gives the authority to enact laws that govern electing members of Congress (i.e. the federal legislature) to the legislatures of the States. This provision was trampled on in the 2020 election, when the courts in Pennsylvania saw fit to rewrite election law. (That the judges are still at large is disappointing.) But there’s more, so here’s Clause 1 in its entirety (italics added):

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing [i.e. choosing] Senators.

It would seem, then, that Congress has the power to impose upon the several States its own laws concerning elections of members of Congress. Not only that, but Section 5 of Article I stipulates that (italics added): “Each House [of Congress] shall be the Judge of the Elections… of its own Members.”  So, Congress can reject States’ elections of federal officials, and refuse to seat their electees.............

Here’s a very simple requirement of the States that would make it possible to get much closer to the truth about who are the victors in our federal elections. NY Supreme Court strikes down Non-Citizen Voting Law

Last year, the New York City Council passed legislation that allows non-citizens who have lived in the city for at least 30 days and are legal permanent residents in the U.S. to vote in city elections for mayor, public advocate, the borough president, and city council. The law also applies to green card holders, individuals with workers' permits, and DACA recipients. The law was set to go into effect on January 2023.  Fortunately, a group affiliated with the Republican National Committee filed a lawsuit challenging the legislation.

More than 800,000 non-citizens would have become eligible for voting rights if this new law had taken effect. The lawsuit also stated that "by dramatically increasing the pool of eligible voters, the Non-Citizen Voting Law will dilute the votes of United States citizens, including the plaintiffs in this action.”  New York’s State Supreme Court Justice Ralph Porzio, based in Staten Island,  struck down the legislation in a ruling calling it illegal and stating that it violates the state constitution, which only provides for citizens to vote.........the City of New York cannot "obviate" the restrictions imposed by the constitution."...........To Read More....

 

Biden wants taxpayers to pay for lawyers for illegal aliens

Report: ICE Agents Told Not to Arrest, Deport Illegal Alien Sex Offenders

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have reportedly been ordered not to arrest and deport certain illegal alien sex offenders.

During a Senate hearing with DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Missouri GOP Sen. Josh Hawley detailed two cases where ICE agents said they were told by top Department of Homeland Security officials not to arrest and deport convicted illegal alien sex offenders.

Scottsdale residents furious as Biden admin converts hotel into ICE detention center under cover of darkness

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich and Scottsdale, Arizona residents are furious over the Biden administration converting a local hotel into an ICE detention center that will house hundreds of illegal immigrants.

Brnovich castigated federal government leaders over the move that positions the facility near schools and a senior living facility. Two hundred angry residents protested Saturday against the development and no public input was requested. The Scottsdale Police Department didn’t even get a say in the matter and were only notified of the decision the day before migrants were transferred.

But in Waukegan, Illinois, they’re having a difficult time finding a suitable alternative.  Two committees comprised of students, staff, and those in the community were tasked with renaming the Thomas Jefferson Middle School and the Daniel Webster Middle School, the first because he was a slave owner and the latter because he supported slavery.   During a school board meeting on Tuesday to discuss some of the finalists for the Thomas Jefferson Middle School, immigration activists expressed their disapproval over one of the finalists: former President Barack Obama.

Nothing Says 'Happy New Year' Quite Like Giving Taxpayer-Funded Health Care to Illegal Aliens

Now that it is officially 2020, illegal alien adults in California are now eligible for Medi-Cal, the state's health care system for low-income families. Starting January 1 – today – Medi-Cal is now extended to illegal aliens ages 19 to 26. Before today those under the age of 19 were able to receive Medi-Cal benefits, the Modesto Bee reported.


Before the new legislation took effect, quite a few illegal aliens were receiving limited Medi-Cal benefits (basically emergency services). Now they are able to receive full-scope Medi-Cal benefits, which include preventative and primary care on top of emergency services.

Those who were in the system  receiving limited scope benefits received letters saying that, at the start of the new year, they would have full access to Medi-Cal benefits. Democrats rip off taxpayers through voter fraud and health care for illegals.

Fresh off his visit to constituents in El Salvador last month, California Gov. Gavin Newsom wants to spend $98 million on health care for illegal immigrants ages 19-26 through the state’s Medi-Cal program. Assembly Democrats want to spend $3.4 billion to cover all illegals over the age of 19, and Senate Democrats want to cover illegals 19-26, plus those beyond the age of 65. Costs are not a factor, Democrats say, because the state has a projected surplus of more than $21 billion.

Los Angeles Democrat Maria Elena Durazo, who supports the senate bill, told reporters the illegals she wants taxpayers to support “work in our hotels, they work picking the fruit and vegetables, they work as landscapers, they work in hospitals. Trump Ends Obama's Taxpayer-Funded Mortgages for Illegal aliens

When Barack Obama implemented his unilateral amnesty for illegal aliens who claimed to have entered this country before the age of sixteen, the illegally amnestied illegals qualified for many benefits.

One of these were FHA loans.

FHA loans are government-backed mortgages meant for poorer Americans unable to qualify for normal mortgages. Democrat abuse of the FHA helped lead to the Great Recession and in the years afterward, FHA insured loans hit losses of $70 billion. By 2012, the FHA was $16 billion in the hole and had to be bailed out. The delinquency rate for FHA loans is still more than three times higher than normal loans, and depending on the period, have hovered between 8% and 14%. Time to bring in the illegal aliens.

When Obama illegally implemented DACA, a program exempting certain illegal aliens from government action, they were also allowed to apply for FHA loans. How many illegal aliens obtained FHA loans?

In December, a letter from three Senate Democrats claimed that HUD barred “approximately 800,000 individuals approved for DACA from FHA-insured mortgage loans”. This refers to the total number of DACA illegal aliens and it’s unknown how many of them have obtained FHA loans in past years.

Ellie Mae’s millennial tracker estimated that the average size of an FHA loan to millennials is $186,454. Potential exposure to illegal alien mortgages could then climb as improbably high as $150 billion.

It’s unknown how many illegal aliens have taken out FHA loans, but some media stories have cited loan officers for whom illegal alien FHA loans represent a significant percentage of their business.

The Trump administration has applied the brakes to this avalanche of taxpayer-insured mortgages to illegal aliens. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) had begun notifying lenders that the FHA was no longer in the illegal alien mortgage business. The reasons were common sense. DACA illegal aliens, or in media spin, DREAMERs, were not legal residents and weren’t being legalized.

Under Obama, FHA rules had been bent so far backward that people who were not only non-citizens, not only non-permanent residents, but weren’t even legally here, were having taxpayers guarantee their mortgages. Not only hadn’t the Democrats learned anything from the Great Recession, they were determined to make the irresponsible behavior of the FHA a decade ago seem sober and sensible.

And they aren’t giving up.

The December letter by Senator Menendez, who had recently been on trial for corruption charges, Senator Booker, on whose watch the $100 million poured into Newark public schools dissipated, and Senator Cortez-Mastro, who had been accused of taking dirty money, claimed to be, “appalled that the Trump Administration would exploit a federal government program to deny Dreamers an opportunity of owning their own home.” But it was the Democrats who had exploited a federal government program meant for poor Americans to benefit not only foreigners, but illegal aliens with no right to be here.

The letter by the three Senator Democrats falsely claimed that President Trump was targeting a “portion of the American public”, when in fact illegal aliens are not part of the American public. They demanded, “sound and unambiguous legal reasoning” for the move. The sound and unambiguous reasoning would be that illegal aliens are not legally resident in the United States and therefore do not qualify for loans.

The illegal alien mortgage business, built on the backs of American taxpayers, is obviously profitable. But it’s also a silent nuclear weapon threatening mass destruction of the economy in case of deportations.

The more illegal aliens end up with FHA loans, and as those FHA loans are turned into Ginnie Mae Mortgage Backed Securities, deporting DACA illegal aliens would risk mass defaults on FHA loans which are backed by American taxpayers. Quite a few Ginnie Mae bonds are being held by Japan and China.

That’s why HUD’s move of stopping the flow of FHA loans to illegal aliens is so vital and important.

Not only do FHA loans endanger our economic security, they also endanger our national security. Their very existence serves as political leverage to prevent the government from enforcing the law. Every illegal alien mortgage not only robs American taxpayers, but puts them at risk of even worse losses.

And considering the role of mortgage backed securities in the Great Recession, the threat is real.

However, HUD has carefully avoided taking a clear position to prevent the inevitable lawsuits and overrides by Obama and Clinton judges embedded in the federal judiciary. Instead HUD officials have successfully warned off many lenders by creating ambiguity about the status of DACA FHA loans.

The riskier illegal alien FHA loans appear, the more irresponsible taking them on will seem. And lenders will be aware of the shadow of the “False Claims Act” hanging overhead if they bite on illegal loans.

This is far from an ideal solution. But it’s an understandable response by a crippled executive branch that has had its legal powers stripped from it by Democrat activists operating under the guise of judges.

But taxpayer-backed mortgages for illegal aliens are only the tip of the tottering FHA iceberg that President Trump needs to begin shutting down to avoid another recession caused by bad loans.

FHA loans to non-citizens are also extended to non-permanent residents and even to “refugees”. The Office of Refugee Resettlement had even been promoting Freddie Mac’s Islamic Sharia-compliant mortgages for Muslim “refugees”. Foreigners here under Temporary Protected Status, a category that the Trump administration has begun winding down, are also potentially eligible for FHA loans.

The FHA is deeply dangerous and troubled. It is in desperate need of reform.

American taxpayers have long been exploited by the FHA as a piggy bank to pay off Democrat voters. But DACA FHA loans have taken this a step further by taking the economy hostage for illegal aliens.

The FHA loan was created to serve Americans. If it is to continue to exist, it should only serve Americans.

There has never been any reason given why the United States government should be extending its credit on behalf of foreigners, whether they are residents, temporary workers or, let alone, illegal aliens.

The risk of such loans has been rolled into the overall risk for Americans. And the buck was passed.

The artificial stimulation of the housing market isn’t reason enough for the government to be putting the economy at risk and taxpayers on the hook for the illegal aliens whom Democrats hope to turn into voters. DACA was an illegal policy. FHA loans for DACA recipients piles illegality on illegality.

American taxpayers should be let off the hook for illegal alien mortgages before the cost grows too high.
