It's Labor Day and it rained here yesterday and will continue raining all day today. No cook outs here in North Eastern Ohio. The kids are back in School, the summer is waning, and I've been laying brick, and most of my projects will be finished, so next year I hope all I'll have to do is cut grass and pick tomatoes and fruit. I'm also glad I will have had these two days of rain to recover. Getting old really is the pits, try to avoid it.
I wasted much of yesterday and I'm going to waste as much time today as I can. Instead of reading one of the many unread books I ordered, yesterday I watched television most of the day. Nor did I work on one of the many articles I've saved in my draft file, and I'm going to waste as much of today as I can watching television, and napping. I'm finding I've become really expert at napping.
I watched Midway 2019 yesterday and started watching Lord of the Rings last night and I intend to do nothing that even gives the impression of any kind of productive endeavor whatsoever today, and I'm going to he happy about it. Even a newsie like me can stand only so much, and the cartoon above kind of reflects my attitude these days, which amounts to: You just can't fix stupid, you can't defund stupid, you never know when mass stupidly will happen and you can't plan for it.
However, I did write one piece, and posted four other commentaries for P&D Today, all of which demonstrates just how much stupidity is going on. They also demonstrate this stupidity is part of The Plan.
