Brushing off Supreme Court rulings, Calif. county fines church as commercial enterprise

The state of California and multiple counties continue to settle with churches after imposing unconstitutional restrictions against them, one county is expanding its efforts to pursue damages against a church, claiming their worship services are a public nuisance.  In its latest request, filed Aug. 31, Calvary Chapel has asked the court to dismiss the public nuisance claim along with the $2.8 million in fines levied against it, arguing the county has not provided any evidence to support the accusation that the church has caused any harm to the public.

The battle between the county and the church began in late spring 2020 after the state and county encouraged residents to protest the death of George Floyd without numerical limitations or public health restrictions, even as the same authorities imposed severe constraints on houses of worship..........

The ruling on Dec. 8, 2020, came after the U.S. Supreme Court's Thanksgiving Eve ruling in a New York-based religious liberty case stating that state and local governments could not impose restrictions on houses of worship that were not being imposed on secular entities........California state and county governments and the Ninth Circuit continued to ignore the Supreme Court's ruling............"That means that after five reprimands from the U.S. Supreme Court, [California] Gov. [Gavin] Newsom decided to make the percentage-capacity restrictions on houses of worship in all Tiers voluntary,"..................  My Take - There are a number of things we can glean from all this.  

1. Leftists could care less what the Constitution says unless they can warp it to fit their agenda.  
2. They're atheists, either out right or at the very least functionally.  
3. They hate Judaic/Christian organizations, and will twist circumstances to destroy them as they've done falsely claiming this church is a business and it's spreading this virus.   
4. It really is true, David Horowitz is right that within every "progressive, leftist, Democrat or socialists", however they choose to define themselves, is a tyrant screaming to get out.   
5. The nation's continued existence is called into question as long as these misfits continue in power.
