There's a Disturbance in the Force! Oh My!

On January 8, 2023 Steven Hayward posted this piece, House GOP Causing Panic on the Left, noting  how the media and the Democrats really enjoyed themselves watching the Republicans battle over the Speaker of the House nomination.  

 

Smirking joyfully and even breaking out the popcorn to watch "The Speaker Show".  But now.....it turns out there's a disturbance in the force.....Imagine that! Now those who can only be quantified as "factose intolerant" are getting a wake up call from the arrogance and self-righteous echo chamber head nodding they've so unendingly lavished in.....and they're really getting ....wellll....scared, imagine that, because it appears they're going to have real investigations:

With the rules agreement we negotiated, we will have a powerful Church-style committee to go after the weaponization of the federal government – the FBI, DOJ, DHS, and all the rest. This is a victory for the Constitutional rights of all Americans.

Imagine that, they're actually going after the left's henchmen in the federal bureaucracy!  Who knows who's door this will lead to, including elected members of Congress!  And they're scared.  Life is good!

It turns out McCarthy wanted to be Speaker of the House so badly he was willing to suffer unending humiliation and fully capitulated to the most conservative members of the House, and that's going to change things, for the better for America, but not for these leftist misfits, and now they're becoming aware of that, and they're ......shocked.  Maybe all this wasn't so funny after all?

As I keep seeing what's developing, I'm liking this deal more and more, after all, if something panics these leftist nitwits, how bad can it be for the nation? 

In the meanwhile, maybe we need to thank McCarthy, because I don't think the conservative caucus could have gotten anywhere near as good a deal if McCarthy had held on to his dignity, walked away, and told everyone to shove where the sun doesn't shine.   

But....as the reporter in Charlie Wilson's War said:  We'll see, until then: Thanks Kevin, you may become a great American yet!
