|The United States of America has become a misnomer. Our nation is anything but united. In fact, I cannot recall a time in American history when we have been more divided than now. Perhaps the Civil War of 1861-1865 comes closest, but the gravity of our current civil divide dwarfs the former in comparison. We live in a crucial time of decision whereby good and evil are in mortal conflict, and it feels like evil is winning big time.
What was once considered sacred on American soil, the belief that a holy and righteous God set forth a standard for us to live by in the words of the Bible, is now subject to mockery and ridicule at every turn in the street. We have become a people with no standard. That which was noble and honorable is called evil, and evil is now highly esteemed by those who could more easily quote from the Manifesto of the Communist Party than recite any of the Ten Commandments. We have strayed far from the beliefs of this nation’s founding fathers; we have failed to heed their warnings. And we are now paying the price.
Who recalls that America’s first higher education institutions, such as Harvard, Yale, and Princeton had as their primary academic resource the Holy Bible? Was this for lack of insight? Or could it have been by design? The wisest man ever created by God, King Solomon, declared, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge” (Proverbs 1:7), and “The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10). The teachings of the Bible are prerequisites to wisdom and understanding.
We have long forgotten that the Bible was the primary source of inspiration for those who penned the greatest manmade documents of all time: the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights...............To Read More....
