The corruption in Congress is astounding. Pelosi arrogantly said they could impeach Trump for anything they wanted to, and that's true, but it was also understood for all the history of America that wasn't a toy to play with, it was serious and the charges must be real. In Biden's case, their are provable charges of "high crimes". During the Obama years there were "high crimes" committed, and they were provable! And what the Democrats are doing now is what they did during the Obama years. Nothing, because the Democrats are now so far to the left they're nothing short of treason.
On August 5, 2021 Allahpundit posted this piece, Biden: Even if the Court eventually rules against our eviction moratorium, we can keep it in place for months by appealing, saying:
This is the aspect of his moratorium chicanery that I find most breathtaking, the frank admission that he’s trying to exploit the legal process to extend a dubious executive order. Most everyone else has focused on the substance of what the White House did, replacing a certainly illegal moratorium order with a new one which they have every reason to know is almost certainly illegal.
And that’s appalling. But the problem could be solved if the courts reacted quickly by scheduling an expedited hearing on the numerous challenges to the new order. When the president is as candid as Biden is here in admitting that he’s gaming the judicial system to keep an illegal measure in place for as long as he can, they have a duty to stop him by putting all other business on hold to consider the merits of that measure. If they don’t, they’re letting him get away with it.
Talk about being disgustingly brazen, or just dementia stupid, e.g. openly admitting the truth when he should be keeping his mouth shut if he's going to try pulling something like this off, or some combination thereof. I'm horrified that we have someone this dumb, this arrogant, and this low as President of the United States.
This is beyond insane. Talk about a president blatantly thumbing his nose at the law, the Constitution, not to mention his oath of office, which is what makes this a "high crime".
In days gone by if a President pulled this both Republicans and Democrats in the house and Senate would band together and put forward bills of impeachment....and it would have been done ASAP. It won't go anywhere now since the Democrats control Congress, but if they really believed in their oath of office, they would do it anyhow to get it on the record in order to keep this latest Biden travesty in the news longer.
But
they don't and they won't! Entirely too many of those in Congress, on
both sides of the aisle, suffer from what one writer called, "Sphincters
going flaccid", at the very thought of bucking the power structure they figuratively mess their pants.
They fear the attacks from the left, from their own leadership and the
media.
But the far left isn't afraid to demand an impeachment of a President who wasn't President any longer, claiming ....actually screaming......that Trump was supposedly the tyrannical authoritarian fascist. When in fact, he reduced regulations and government control - in the economy boomed as a result, especially for minorities and poor and lower-income people. Democrat leaders & activists no longer care about such facts, only about slinging demeaning labels and names especially when they are 180 degrees off reality.
In the past Democrat voters didn't hold them to task at all, they just keep voting these same types are right into office, so they are at fault also. But with Biden and his far left misfits in office who've turned the concept that "America is a nation of laws, not a nation of men", into a sick joke, that's changing. If Ohio is any indicator, more and more Democrats are upset at the Democrat party, and leaving.
Actually, they're not leaving the Democrat party, the Democrat party has left them.
