Democrats in Disarray After Representative’s Impeachment Backfire

Didn’t think this one through, as they say.

When Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-MI) posted a video on the social media platform X to announce his seven articles of impeachment for President Trump, he did so almost comically. It makes one wonder just what House Democrats were thinking. Thanedar was not exactly the best choice for what should be a grave and most serious course of action. But that question has now been answered. House Democratic leadership had not approved the congressman’s move, and the entire affair turned out to be an ill-timed miscalculation.

Additionally, it has exposed Thanedar as something of a grifter – if emerging reports about the immigrant pharma exec-turned-politician are accurate.

The impeachment adventure unraveled quickly. Top Democrats distanced themselves, with House Democratic Caucus Chairman Pete Aguilar (D-CA) telling reporters, “[T]his is not an exercise that we’re willing to undertake.”

“We’re going to win elections,” Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) bluntly remarked to the Washington Examiner. “We’re not playing those stupid politics.”

A Rogue Impeachment

The day after Thanedar posted his video, three of the four Democrats who initially co-sponsored his resolution – Reps. Kweisi Mfume (MD), Jerry Nadler (NY), and Robin Kelly (IL) – requested that their names be withdrawn. Aides to Kelly and Mfume stated that both had abandoned the effort after learning it was unsanctioned. Rep. Kelly “was under the impression that the resolution was drafted and reviewed by both the House Judiciary Committee and Leadership when she originally signed on during a vote series on the floor,” said her office.

For Discerning News Hounds

Donavan McKinney, who plans to primary Thanedar, served up perhaps the most pragmatic response to the impeachment push. “We’ve done this. We’ve been through this circus already. How many times has Trump been impeached? He got reelected. He’s not going anywhere. We need to figure out another strategy to fight back.”

Beyond the lack of appetite among House Democrats to talk about impeachment – at least for the time being – Thanedar’s effort has backfired on him personally. Old media reports of his pharmaceutical company’s bankruptcy resurfaced. Insolvency wasn’t the big story, though. After a bank took ownership of the company, AniClin Preclinical Services, Thanedar shuttered his lab and, apparently, just walked away, leaving more than 170 research animals, mostly dogs and monkeys, inside without food and water. The animals were later rescued.

More bad news may be about to engulf the man who took it upon himself to launch an impeachment. Right-wing activist Laura Loomer claims Federal Election Commission records show that Shri for Congress, Thanedar’s re-election campaign, is currently $730,313.81 in debt. Loomer posted details on X:

“This financial hole stems from a staggering -$1,208,286.58 payment recorded on February 28, 2025. According to the FEC filing, the reason for this negative payment is ‘INVESTMENT INCOME LOSS’. Curiously, Shri Thanedar himself is listed as the recipient of this negative payment. Is ‘Getting Trump’ a game reserved for those who grift the hardest?”

Some possible motives have emerged for Thanedar’s unapproved decision to target the president with articles of impeachment. Having apparently used campaign funds to pay off a personal debt, the congressman perhaps hoped to use his impeachment efforts to raise some or all of the money needed to get his campaign back in the black. Or maybe this was about elevating himself above his primary contenders in the eyes of voters.

It turns out – or, at least, it now appears – that Rep. Thanedar was not all that serious about impeachment. Perhaps that explains why his big reveal on X just didn’t come across as genuine. Whatever the case, it is another victory for the president – albeit one of little consequence – and another wound for congressional Democrats to lick as they continue to search for ways to stop the Trump train.

Democrat Rolls Out Trump Impeachment – And It Did Not Go Well

The wrong person at the wrong time, and party leaders are cringing.

From the moment the 2024 presidential election was called for Donald Trump, it was only a matter of time, once he took office, until Democrats again started talking about impeachment. On April 28, Rep. Shri Thanedar (D-MI) revealed he had filed no less than seven articles of impeachment against the president. The roll-out did not go well, and, indeed, another impeachment seems like pure desperation for a flailing, directionless, and effectively leaderless party.

To be clear, this writer does not think it is tasteful to ridicule others for their appearance or accent. Nevertheless, it is hard to fathom why House Democrats allowed Thanedar to move ahead with this course of action and especially to post a video to X announcing his articles of impeachment.

According to his congressional web pages, Thanedar was born into poverty in southern India. He gained undergraduate and master’s degrees in chemistry, later emigrating to the United States, where he completed his PhD. He ran successful pharmaceutical businesses before getting into politics. Today, Thanedar represents Michigan’s 13th Congressional District.

A rags-to-riches story, then. An American dream narrative. One cannot help but admire the congressman for that.

Impeachment or Improv?

But optics are everything in politics – perhaps now more than ever in today’s bitterly partisan America. Thanedar has an almost unfeasibly thick mop of hair and an accent so thick that, if one only heard his voice without knowing his ethnicity, one could be forgiven for thinking he was parodying the denizens of his homeland. Surely even the most hardcore progressives who would love to see Trump impeached yet again would have been biting their tongues.

Thanedar’s video had some X users wondering if this was a Saturday Night Live skit. This may seem inappropriate to some, perhaps, but the honorable gentleman from Michigan was just not the one to make this grave announcement.

By vowing to impeach Trump even before he took office in 2017 and then staging two theatrical efforts during Trump’s first term, House Democrats had already rendered impeachment hollow and gratuitous. Thanedar did not add any much-needed gravitas with his delivery, which reminded one of a Daily Show comedian.

It did not help matters that the congressman did nothing but reel off just about every anti-Trump soundbite used repeatedly by many Democrats and others on the left for the past eight years.

The seven articles of impeachment – that are going nowhere unless and until Democrats take control of the House of Representatives in 2027 – are as follows:

1. Obstruction of Justice and Abuse of Executive Power
2. Usurpation of Appropriations Power
3. Abuse of Trade Powers and International Aggression
4. Violation of First Amendment Rights
5. Creation of an Unlawful Office
6. Bribery and Corruption
7. Tyrannical Overreach

Democrats Ponder the Pitfalls

Rep. Peter Aguilar (D-CA), who chairs the House Democratic Caucus, brushed aside the idea. After observing that impeachment “is, at times, a tool that can be used,” Aguilar, not in so many words, acknowledged the futility of using it unless Democrats could be sure of a conviction in the Senate. He told reporters on Capitol Hill, “[W]e don’t have any confidence that House and Senate Republicans would do their jobs. And so this is not an exercise that we’re willing to undertake.”

Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) was less obtuse. “We’re going to win elections,” he told the Washington Examiner. “We’re not playing those stupid politics. Next question.”

DC’s most well-known left-leaning paper reports that top Democrats inside the Beltway are unwilling to discuss impeachment. That may be because they realize that even if they win the House in next year’s midterms, they are unlikely to win the Senate – much less have the votes they would need to remove President Trump.

Give Cable TV the Boot – Check This Out!

There could be another reason. Democrats are already feeling the weight of historically low approval ratings. That may well be tied to the fact that, since January, they have made it abundantly clear to the American people that the party is focused entirely on stopping the Trump agenda – the very thing he was elected to pursue – and not at all on doing anything constructive for American citizens.

For Democratic lawmakers, there is also the danger that if they push articles of impeachment now, they will be signaling to voters that impeachment proceedings are a certainty – should they win a House majority in 2026. Despite a recent slew of polls that, at first glance, suggest America has abandoned Trump, his policies, notwithstanding the jitters over tariffs, are still popular. In that light, how many voters are going to pull the lever for Democrats? Perhaps only those who have less interest in progress than in seeing the president punished for doing the things he was elected to do.

Trump Impeachment Syndrome

Let's talk about Rep. Shri Thanedar, another Democrat who seemingly has gone over the sanity cliff suffering from the Trump Impeachment Syndrome, and mental condition predicated on Trump Derangement Syndrome.  Or does he have other motives behind his actions? 

Andrea Widburg, one of my favorite writers, published this article yesterday, The man behind the newest Articles of Impeachment against Trump, saying, "he’s a colorful character, and I don’t mean that in a good way."

Rep. Shri Thanedar is not alone in this mental disorder.  Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff told a town hall crowd that Trump “has already exceeded any prior standard for impeachment” because of his meme coin contest, and Little Chuckie Schumer, who apparently thinks he's still the majority leader in the Senate is on board.  

 

Andrea goes on to list Thanedar's claims that justify impeaching Trump, and they're all nonsense, just as all the other impeachment scams the Democrats promoted.  

 

But the hits just keep right on coming.  

 

It appears he has some serious financial issues, potentially involving fraud.   Wow! A corrupt Democrat politician trying to hide his corruption by trying to destroy someone else. Imagine that. I keep seeing this pattern and wonder if it ever occurred to them if they’d just keep their mouths shut no one would have noticed? This failed pattern of thinking is ubiquitous among all on the left. All now thinkers.  All failures at long range thinking.  All embracing the con. 

• The New Dem Hero: Rep. Shri Thanedar Accused Animal Abuser

 If Joe Biden hadn’t become President would all of his crime family corruption come to light?    If Letitia James hadn't been such a disgrace as New York's Attorney General would her corruption have come to light?  Would Fani Willis have been exposed for her corruption?  And the pattern plays out over and over again.

Will the Pravda media take notice of all this?  Nah, they've ignored the financial dealings of the Clinton clan for decades, but crossed every "t" and dotted every "i" involving anything Trump was involved with.  If a legitimate investigation was held I'm guessing..... just guessing mind you ......  the big difference would be Trump would be found innocent and the Clinton's would be in jail.

Andrea quoted Saul Alinsky saying: 

in his Rules for Radicals, warned that “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Democrats would do well to heed that advice when it comes to Donald Trump. Having unsuccessfully tried twice to impeach him, they’re still invested in impeachment.

What this may really be all about a "political move and more of a fundraising stunt and a way to deflect attention from possibly problematic financial moves", and he's potentially facing a serious challenge in his district in the next election, which lends credibility to that thinking.

On July 10, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) Introduced articles of impeachment against two Supreme Court justices, Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas. Both the conservative justices have been the targets of various allegations of unethical conduct from Democrats and left-leaning media sources.

In a statement, the New York progressive spoke of an “unchecked corruption crisis” on the Supreme Court. Referring directly to Thomas and Alito, she said their “pattern of refusal to recuse from consequential matters before the court in which they hold widely documented financial and personal entanglements constitutes a grave threat to American rule of law, the integrity of our democracy, and one of the clearest cases for which the tool of impeachment was designed.”

Democrats Know a True Scandal When They See One! Nah, Just Kiddin!

The time has come the Walrus said, to talk of many things:  Of shoes, and ships, and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings, and why the sea is boiling hot, and whether pigs have wings.

Are Democrats capable of seeing a true scandal when it appears?  Not unless it involves a Republican or a prominent conservative, and then whether it's an actual scandal or not is highly dubious.   False accusations and smear tactics don't count as scandals, except for those who make a practice of that kind of intellectual rot and moral corruption. 

On December 19, 2023 Frank Friday  published this piece at American Thinker, The great Comer non-scandal explained, saying:

.......the Biden Crime Family took tens of millions of dollars from foreign entities. To what purpose they won’t say, but none of them are even registered under the Foreign Agent Reporting Act (FARA). None of them even have a business activity to report related to these payments other than Hunter’s time as a Burisma Director.

And it appears, at least as far as I can tell, not one Democrat sees this as scandalous, or even illegal.  Some saying there's no evidence Biden ever committed any crimes that justify impeaching him.  Some claiming this is just another MAGA attempt to smear Joe Biden before the 2024 election.  Remarkable! In spite of the fact the Biden scandals got more bizarre by the day.  And we're surprised why?   That's their history and the pattern of corrupt enabling of the Democrat party, and leftists in general. 

Let's go back a way.  Joe Biden and his son Hunter can’t keep their Ukraine story straight:

Did Joe Biden discuss his son’s Ukraine business deal with him? Joe said “No” Friday when Fox News Channel’s Peter Doocy caught up with him at an appearance in Iowa. “Mr. Vice President, how many times have you ever spoken to your son about his overseas business dealings?” Doocy asked. “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” Biden said, and as Doocy tried to follow up, the former VP cut him off. “And here’s what I know, I know Trump deserves to be investigated,” Biden said. “He is violating every basic norm of a president. You should be asking him the question, why is he on the phone with a foreign leader trying to intimidate a foreign leader, if that’s what happened, that appears to be what happened, you should be looking at Trump.”...

Great misdirection in order to cover up a massive lie, that being Joe Biden was part and parcel of his son's corrupt and illegal business dealings.  But let's try and get this right, just once, the "Big Lie" is who and what Joe Biden has always been about.  No scandals? Biden repeats an old Obama whopper:

So let's get this straight here: The Benghazi coverup never happened. The IRS targeting of dissidents never happened, either. The Gold River pollution on traditional Native American lands by the EPA never happened. Solyndra never happened. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton never had an illegal private server in some guy's bathroom. She never sold 20% of the U.S. uranium supply to Russia, and her bleachbitting of her subpoenaed emails was perfectly scandal-free, as well as her smashing of Blackberries with hammers. The fact that top-secret emails turned up in Anthony Weiner's perverted computer, for the New York cops to read, was a nothingburger. And if you like your doctor.........Actually, the Obama administration was probably the most scandal-plagued of all administrations.......

Then there was "The Clinton campaign's plot to politically assassinate Trump":

There is a word for secretly collecting information about enemies or competitors to use against them. According to the latest court filing by Special Counsel John Durham, the Hillary Clinton campaign surreptitiously and likely illegally reached into protected White House and Trump communications data to try and show some link between Trump and Russia. The Clinton campaign during the election hid from FBI, CIA and the media that it was the source of the information gathered. Durham doesn't use the word "spy", but that in no way changes what happened.

Not one iota of scandal could be seen there by Democrats.  Really!  Well then how about this:  Fox Exposes the Clintons in the Scandalous Series.  The Clintons are corrupt to the bone and the Democrats and leftist loons - oooops, I'm repeating myself - have never found anything wrong with that for as long as they've been in politics. As time goes by it becomes more and more obvious these loons have no moral foundation other than doing and accepting everything and anything will gain them power and money.

Then there's this, Smothered: Six Democratic Scandals That The Elite News Media Suffocated With A Pillow This Cycle:

To better Democrats’ 2018 chances, there have been six rather major scandals that have hit some key candidates, which the elite media decided to smother with a pillow. From domestic abuse allegations to fraud and DUIs, Newsbusters’ Geoffrey Dickens found six major scandals, where the elite news media has devoted little to no coverage.

As they say in the infomercials, "But Wait, That's not All", as the list of outrageous and treasonous left wing Democrat scandals of every sort goes on and on, including the Clinton Scandals, the Obama Scandals, including their illegal spying schemes, and the Biden Scandal.

All of these links go back as far as 2016.  Massive scandals, many of which border on treason, and the media hid it, the Deep State collaborated with them, the public was kept ignorant of it, and the Democrats never saw a bit of it.   But finally, Eureka!  the Democrats have found a scandal they can see, and one they can sink their teeth into.  

The D.C. establishment exclaims, House Oversight Chairman James Comer bought a half interest in six acres of land in Monroe County, Ky, then put it in an LLC with his wife in 2017. Oh, this could be bigger than Watergate! The guy who sold him the land had given him $1,000 back in 2010 and apparently never again, until 2023. Comer truthfully said, he was not a contributor during the time he sold him the land. Oh, the shame! Sorry -- even for Washington Democrats, this is really pathetic.

As you read about the great Comer non-scandal it becomes clear Comer is a man who started out small, dealt honestly, worked hard, saved his money, invested wisely and legally, and the Democrats naturally hate him for that alone, not to mention he's white, a conservative, a Republican who is probably a practicing Christian and I'm betting he's a gun owner.  

But they really hate him because he's the Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, and he's going after Joe and Hunter Biden.  His committee has exposed the lies Joe and Hunter Biden have been spewing out regarding their corrupt business practices, and he's not going to stop.   

Democrat solution?  Accuse him of something, anything, smear him, and denigrate him, no matter how outrageous their claims may be, and the media will jump on board.  Oh, if there's any doubt about where the media will stand on this, here's my media scandal files, Media Corruption, Media Collusion, Media Complicity, and Media Hoax.  As the propaganda wing of the Democrat party they suffer from a serious case of conviction impairment, since they will immediately shift gears to follow whatever the leftist philosophical flavor of the moment may be.

SOP, Standard Operating Procedure, for the Democrats.  Only the public isn't as easily fooled these days. 

One more thing, after finishing this piece I came across this article,  Another Biden Scandal Might Be Brewing by Spencer Brown, and if this claim the Biden administration is allowing the export of American advanced technology to China is true, there may be charges of treason leveled against Biden and others in his administration.  

I wonder if the Democrats see that as a scandal?  Given their penchant for behavior that's cleanly destructive to America, they may actually approve.  

The Bidens: "Stone Cold Crooked" (11) -- Still Waiting For The Bribery Charges

Yesterday, Hunter Biden was finally indicted — on tax charges. Here is a copy of the indictment, filed by Special Counsel David Weiss in the Central District of California, and signed by his principal deputy Leo Wise. The nine counts include three felonies. The indictment makes for moderately entertaining reading. The gist is that Hunter Biden, rather than paying taxes of about $1.4 million that he acknowledged he owed for years 2016-19, instead “spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle.” Well, we all knew that.

A more important question is why it has taken until now to produce an indictment for crimes that were this obvious and on which the statute of limitations was running. One theory is that the indictment is a signal that the Democratic establishment has finally concluded that Joe Biden is expendable. I don’t buy that theory. The better hypothesis is that the indictment is a last-ditch effort to protect Joe by diverting attention to the only crimes of Hunter in which Joe isn’t fundamentally implicated. From the New York Times today:

Republicans immediately hailed the indictment . . . as a validation of their inquiry. . . . Yet in the most critical respect, the indictment is far from helpful to the Republicans: It never mentions President Biden, not even indirectly, and provides no evidence linking the misdeeds of the son to the father.

So where are the bribery charges? Those are at least as clear and obvious as the tax charges. The difference is that they would inherently implicate the President. The failure to bring them shows that our Department of “Justice” continues to view its role as protecting the politically-favored incumbent from clear and serious criminality, while simultaneously prosecuting his main political rival in two separate cases of highly questionable merit.

For background on the still-unbrought bribery charges against Hunter that would inherently implicate Joe, see the first ten parts of this series, “The Bidens: “Stone Cold Crooked.” The series focuses mostly on the facts surrounding Hunter’s $1 million per year directorship at Burisma and the firing of the Ukrainian General Prosecutor in 2016 (although there are facts implicating the Bidens in bribery involving other countries including China, Romania and Kazakhstan).

The gist of the Burisma/Ukraine facts implicating the Bidens in bribery can be summarized in a brief timeline (all taken from the previous posts in this series that can be found at the link):

• In March 2014 Vice President Joe Biden became the “point man” for U.S. foreign policy in Ukraine, including controlling U.S. aid to that country. This was immediately after the previous Russia-aligned Ukraine government of Viktor Yanukovich had fallen, and Vladimir Putin had just invaded Crimea. During the Yanukovich era, Burisma, headed by Russia-aligned oligarch Mykola Zlochevsky, had somehow been granted the lion’s share of Ukraine’s valuable natural gas leases.

• In May 2014 Hunter Biden joined the Burisma board of directors at a pay rate of $1 million per year.

• In early 2015 Viktor Shokin was appointed General Prosecutor of Ukraine, and began investigating Burisma for corruption.

• A large inter-agency group of U.S. bureaucrats was set up to evaluate whether Ukraine under its new government had made sufficient progress against corruption to warrant approval of a new U.S. aid package without conditions. In a memorandum reflected in an email chain of October 1, 2015, the inter-agency group concluded that Ukraine had made sufficient progress to earn the aid.

• In a November 2, 2015 email chain between Vadym Pozharsky of Burisma and Hunter Biden, Pozharsky stated that his “only concern” was that they [Burisma and Hunter] were on the “same page re our final goals,” with the Burisma executive confirming that the “the ultimate purpose” was “to close down” “any cases/pursuits against Nikolay in Ukraine.” “Nikolay” refers to Burisma’s chairman, Mykola Zlochevsky.

• On December 4, 2015 a Burisma board meeting was held in Dubai. Hunter Biden’s partner and co-board member Devon Archer testified before Congress that during a dinner after the board meeting, Hunter along with Zlochevsky and Pozharsky stepped out to “call Washington.”

• Joe Biden then traveled to Ukraine on December 8-9, 2015. During that trip Joe Biden suddenly imposed as a condition of approving some $1 billion of U.S. aid to Ukraine that prosecutor Shokin be fired. In a widely viewed video clip, Joe Biden has publicly admitted to making this demand at that time.

• Shokin was then fired in approximately February 2016. All investigations of Burisma ended.

Despite the damning timeline, Biden has so far (when he has deigned to speak about this matter) taken the position that in demanding the firing of Shokin he was only carrying out official U.S. policy that had been devised by others. New information since my earlier posts now completely undermines that narrative. Two days ago on December 6 Mark Tapscott had a piece in the Epoch Times with the headline “VP Biden Linking Ukraine Loan to Prosecutor's Firing Surprised State Department Officials, Emails Show.” The piece indicates that the House Judiciary Committee under Chair Jim Jordan has made some additional emails available for review by the Epoch Times. Those emails show that the State Department staff was actually blindsided by the sudden Biden demand for the firing of the prosecutor as a condition of the aid:

Up until [VP Biden’s ultimatum demanding the firing of the prosecutor as a condition of U.S. aid], the U.S. hadn't made Ukraine's receipt of the IMF loan guarantees conditional on Mr. Shokin's removal. Briefing materials reviewed by the vice president during his December 2015 flight to Ukraine included planning for him to sign the U.S. agreement to back the IMF loans, with no reference to firing Mr. Shokin.

The Epoch Times quotes senior White House National Security aid Eric Ciaramella in a January 21, 2016 email as follows respecting the Biden demand that Ukraine fire Shokin:

"Yikes, . . . I don't recall this coming up in our meeting with them on Tuesday."

Also on December 6, Miranda Devine of the New York Post describes President Biden’s response to questions from a Post reporter that day. Steve Nelson of the Post managed to get a question to Biden as to “why you interacted with so many of your son and brother’s foreign business associates?” Biden’s response was “I’m not going to comment on that. I did not. And it’s just a bunch of lies.”

Is that all Biden can say in his defense? As Devine points out:

The evidence already amassed by the three congressional committees working on the impeachment inquiry is overwhelming. It comes in the form of subpoenaed bank records, sworn witness testimony, emails, text messages, WhatsApp messages, voicemails and photographs.

So far, no Democrat in Congress or other office, no member of the legacy press, no one in the Justice Department or FBI is breaking ranks on this. Will that really continue through the election?

McCarthy Throws Down the Impeachment Gauntlet

Now that it’s going to happen, there’s a lot to unpack.

On Sept. 11, media reports emerged that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was going to put his stamp of approval on the impeachment of President Joe Biden. The following day, the Speaker gave a press conference during which he did just that. So, now that McCarthy has thrown down the impeachment gauntlet, there is much to consider, with respect as to how this will impact the 2024 presidential election.

Explaining his decision to green-light impeachment proceedings, the California Republican talked about “a culture of corruption” surrounding the Biden family while Joe Biden served as vice president. The Speaker reviewed the extensive evidence of financial payments that flowed to the Bidens from foreign businesses and individuals in exchange for access to the White House. “That’s why today, I am directing our House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden,” McCarthy said. “This logical next step will give our committees the full power to gather all the facts and answers for the American public.”

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) will head the impeachment inquiry, along with Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Jason Smith (R-MO), who lead the Judiciary and Ways & Means committees, respectively.

McCarthy added, “The American people deserve to know that the public offices are not for sale and that the federal government is not being used to cover up the actions of a politically associated family.”

An Impeachment Conundrum

Obviously, Biden is not going to be convicted by the Senate since Republicans don’t have nearly enough votes. Additionally, there is some reluctance even on the part of a few Republican senators to go ahead with an impeachment. How will the House vote when the time comes? It’s probably safe to say Biden will be impeached and then acquitted, as Trump was twice.

Ten congressional districts that Biden won in 2020 were represented by Republicans as of 2022. After that year’s midterms, 18 Republicans represented Biden-favoring districts. Then again, that was two years into Biden’s presidency. Did the voters in some of those districts have buyer’s remorse from 2020? How many of those GOPers would vote against impeaching the chief executive to maybe save their own seats – and how many would believe they need to? The question invites a lot of speculation. One could reasonably assume that only a few of them at most would go against their party, against the not-insubstantial amount of evidence of corruption, and defend a deeply unpopular president. If they did, how much respect would they get from their constituents? How likely is it that a vote against impeachment would ensure their re-election in 2024?

What of the effect on the next presidential election? The Democratic Party would, of course, use a Biden impeachment as a fundraising and get-out-the-vote tool, but to what end? As Liberty Nation’s Editor-in-Chief Leesa K. Donner quipped, there’s room for only one martyr in this election cycle. With two impeachments, four indictments, and a more than six-year-long tsunami of dishonestly negative press under his belt, Donald J. Trump has cornered the market in martyrdom.

As for Democrat voters, will they descend in droves on polling stations in 2024 to vote for Biden because he was impeached? Hardly. They mail in their ballots anyway. There’s another reason, though, why the voting booths will not be swamped by enraged Democrats. The establishment media will, as much as possible, avoid covering the impeachment proceedings. Trump voters had two impeachments rammed down their throats. Biden voters will hardly be aware of what’s going on. This impeachment will not stir the Democrat masses, such as they are, to action. If Biden were convicted in the Senate and thrown out of office, that would be a different matter, but that’s not going to happen, and the Democrats of America have not been targeted, demonized, censored, and victimized the way Trump’s supporters have been. The visceral reaction to an impeachment will not be the same.

Should Republicans go forward at all since Joe Biden will survive? That is perhaps entirely a matter of perspective. For the sake of justice, one might say, absolutely. From the political standpoint, it’s a toss-up. When the dust settles, it may turn out to be neither a net loss nor a net gain for Republicans. If they didn’t do it, though, then this current cadre of GOP leaders may well come to be remembered as the people who let perhaps the most corrupt president in American history off the hook.

On the Memorial Day weekend, while most Americans played near water, the leftists impeached the strongest elected voice in Texas for election integrity — Ken Paxton.  Impeachments were history book items until Clinton, then two more for Trump and some predicting one for Biden.  Everyone kind of gets it.  It's a political thing, with preposterous second-raters giving speeches about honesty, integrity, rule of law as they bend the rules to get their way.

This one is a bit different.  Paxton is the stand-up guy who — but for a very sketchy Supreme Court "standing" ruling — could have seriously upended the fraudulent election in 2020.  He is ballsy, innovative, smart, and colorful.  And he is the attorney general of a very big state — or was, as he now is suspended.  It's now up to the state Senate.

He had one of those mistress events that beguiles Christian conservative types.  Then there was some kind of lawsuit followed by a $3-million settlement.  Republicans do seem to pay more for sex than the leftists who drive their victims off a bridge or bite their lip or just deny that it ever happened.

Paxton apparently did everything above board — as far as the payment goes, even getting the Legislature to fund it.  A group of RINOs and all the leftist Democrats held a secret investigation, leading to a bill sent to the Legislature, days before the holiday — leftists demanding a vote on the holiday Saturday.

Guess Who's Dancing Around the Room Singing: I'm Gonna Be President, I'm Gonna be President?

In my piece, The Nitwit Brigade, Part I, I pointed out three things.  

1. Joe Biden has committed a serious crime.  
2. This exposure is happening like a lightning bolt out of the blue.  
3. In three different locations three different batches of classified material was found ...almost at once. 

Which lead to this observation.  What's going on here?  Does anyone other than me think that's just a bit bizarre, and possibly nefarious?  So, how about this scenario, it was The Democrats who did it!  Well, that's a theme being taken up by others. The (No So) Stealthy Democrat Plan to Ditch Biden.

The Democrat powers-that-be have decided! They don’t want senile president Joe Biden to run for reelection now! How else could anyone explain what happened last week with the emerging story of the president having been caught with his hands in the cookie jar – or more descriptive, his fingerprints on boxes of documents, including a generous smattering of classified information – at his Chinese funded University of Pennsylvania pre-presidency office and then, get this, at his house in Delaware. It’s old news by now, but the garage space that holds Biden’s prize possession – his classic Corvette – also contained papers from his vice presidency days – and so did a room adjoining the garage.

What I found mind boggling is why in the world Joe just didn't go off into the sunset, retire and possibly none of this would have ever come to light, including Hunter's escapades?  Because Joe knew there was no way Hunter's corruption wasn't going to come to light, and with that, Joe's involvement would be exposed, unless the Democrats controlled the Congress and he held the White House controlling the Deep State preventing exposure.  

But, no matter what, Joe Biden is stunningly stupid....."Huston, we have a problem".  The House is gone, and they're coming after all parties of this corrupt mess.  And that includes the FBI and the Department of Justice, with Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), Chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee asking, why didn't we hear about this on November 2nd when this was first discovered?  And how about those intelligence veterans, who held prominent positions in the intelligence community, who signed a letter insisting Hunter's laptop, was Russian dis-information, when in point of fact, they all knew it was real? Does that sound like treason, or at the very least, a RICO conspiracy to someone other than me?

So, we have stolen documents, stored not only in insecure spaces, but spaces even foreign agents involved with Hunter had access to, and we're shocked there's no public visitors log at these locations?  And former acting U.S. Attorney General Matthew Whitaker wonders whether these documents in some way exposed Joe Biden's involvement with the shady deals and corruption of Hunter?  How about a great big "Duh" on that? 

Of course that paragon of virtue and probity Attorney Merrick Garland has appointed a Special Counsel to investigate this, but he had to because he appointed one in Trump's case, however, there's a difference.  Trump wasn't guilty of anything, where in Biden's case, this is a legitimate scandal and Joe's as guilty as sin.  

There is one problem with that however.  Garland will control the outcome of that investigation, and make no mistake about it, as long a Garland controls this, there will be no indictments since he's corrupt to the core, and the FBI has now been almost totally politicized, and are in fact, political operatives for the Democrats and leftists. 

Matt Vespa posted this piece, Joe Biden Just Penned His Own Impeachment , saying: 

Katie [Pavlich] wrote last week how all of this is just icing on the cake since Biden has prevaricated and outright lied about his financial dealings with his crackhead disgrace of a son, Hunter, and their ventures with shady characters, including China. Maybe that's an additional charge to the article of impeachment that should be filed against this corrupt and increasingly fragile old man who exhibits an amusing arrogance. Never have I seen a man so stupid, incompetent, and unaccomplished act like he's Joe Cool. He is only known for taking up space in the Senate, being re-elected from a deep blue state, and being mocked incessantly by Obama's staffers for being a particular sort of moron. None of that is worthy of praise. It's not hard to be a Democrat and get elected in a state like Delaware. 

As for the Nitwit Brigade member, Karine Jean-Pierre, this author notes:

"It is increasingly painful to watch Karine Jean-Pierre," legal commentator Jonathan Turley  tweeted Friday, "as she argues that they have been 'transparent' by being transparently unwilling to answer any questions." 

There's one thing clear, even if the AG makes sure no charges are filed, the House will have to take this up as an Impeachment and Kamala Harris, who's taken the Sargent Shultz Defense, "I know nothing", is hugging herself, dancing around the room singing, I'm gonna be President, I'm gonna be President, I'm gonna be President, I'm gonna be President, etc., etc., etc,................. 

Doesn't that just give you a warm and fuzzy feeling all over?

Top Republicans Call for the Impeachment of Joe Biden

My Take - If the House impeaches Biden will it matter?  Yes and no.  He's clearly been in serious violation of the Constitution and it needs to be established beyond any doubt for the record, and for his ultimate historical condemnation and the condemnation of the Democrat party, because the Senate under the Democrats will not take up this valid impeachment, unlike the fraudulent impeachments of Donald Trump.   History will condemn Biden even if the Democrats will not. 

And quite frankly, that goes for Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of Homeland Security, Lloyd J. Austin III, Secretary of Defense, and most of all, Merritt Garland, Attorney General.  Establish the facts and let history condemn them and the Democrat party forever.  

And if the Republicans ever get their act together and take the Senate, the House and the White House, and grow a spine, they need to prosecute them for the crimes they've committed.

American has a two-tiered justice system. If you are liberal and vote Democratic, you can get away with anything. Hillary Clinton is proof of that. In that case, here are five unassailable reasons that justify impeaching President Biden. This is not meant to be a complete list, but it will do for starters.

1. Biden’s corrupt activities constitute treason - Biden has abused his office by violating the laws he has sworn to defend. .......
2. Biden’s violation of U.S. immigration law constitutes treason - Under Trump, the U.S. became energy independent. Biden reversed Trump’s sensible energy policies, causing the worst inflation in 40 years, runaway gas, food, and heating prices, and looming recession. As far back as the 2020 election, Biden has boasted about his intention to destroy our reliance on fossil fuels...........
3. Biden is waging war on the energy sector to deliberately destroy the American economy- Under Trump, the U.S. became energy independent. Biden reversed Trump’s sensible energy policies, causing the worst inflation in 40 years, runaway gas, food, and heating prices, and looming recession. 4. Biden is directing the enforcement branches of the federal government against his political enemies - Biden believes that “domestic political extremism” is “the most urgent terrorism threat” facing the U.S.......

My Take - Okay, the Constitutional definition of treason is:

"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. 

While Biden's actions and the actions of his administration certainly are treasonous in principle, they may not be treason in law.  Having said that, it still doesn't alter the fact all that's listed here demonstrate he and his administration are guilty of High Crimes and Misdemeanors.  

High Crimes sounds really terrible, but that phrase doesn't mean a more serious crime.  When the Constitution was written it was understood a crime was a crime of high office, including failure to uphold their oath of office.  All of which I explain here.  Not only Biden, but many of his appointees deserve to be impeached for the High Crime of failing to uphold their oath of office, including federal judges, whether he appointed them or not.   

I think this next piece is an excellent history lesson, then you decide if he and many in his administration are traitors.  I think so, but that's one man's view.

The globalist Biden is also a dutiful collaborator with the United Nations and World Health Organization, both in the pocket of Communist China. As Biden said in 2019, the Chinese are “not bad folks,” and the “Big Guy” has financial entanglements with China’s Communist regime through son Hunter, whose laptop is not “Russian disinformation.” 

In the style of Pétain, Biden is the puppet of a socialist squad that wants the people to get only what the government wants them to have, the basic totalitarian model. Joe Biden has trouble with the law of gravity, the law of supply and demand, and federal immigration law. As he wrecks the economy, Biden tells Americans they live in the best of all possible worlds. For all but the willfully blind, things are getting worse by the day.............

A fiery political advocate or crazed humanistic zealot are unfit for elected office. This explains why both Biden & Pelosi’s self-righteous tenures are pompous failures. Historic Hallmarks of Tyranny

Around tyranny are certain historic hallmarks. First, the need to relax or abolish the rule of law. Second, an indifference to human suffering or death. Third, the concept that these leaders are “great men” or women, under no rules, given their purity of spirit, and need for freedom. Fourth, that republicanism is too costly, being the kind of government with checks and balances, which cannot be risked. Fifth, that a new way of life on earth is being established that will end all suffering, want, greed, and wars, etc.

But consider how leaders act when they are convinced they’re called to master humanity. Overall, the signal trait of leftist masters is overwhelming incompetence. Consider Joe Stalin, a clinically paranoid man without leadership training, who organized the Great Purge, targeting independent farmers, and his own communist party, resulting in 5 million deaths.

Not to be outdone, equally untrained Chairman Mao’s Great Leap Forward communalized farms, resulting in 40 million deaths. Both leaders murdered their own party officials, and pursued ethnic cleansing, creating terror, torture and murder. But how did either man serve his society? In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic was unleashed on the world from China. The evidence is now growing that the bioweapons laboratory in Wuhan, China was the original source of the virus. If this theory is true, the virus was either accidentally or intentionally released on an unsuspecting world.
