Good Riddance to the Bush Regime

Jeff Crouere Sep 18, 2023

He was so popular that his bland and uninspiring Vice President was elected in 1988 as a third Reagan term. Yet, Bush was nothing like Ronald Reagan. He believed in a “new world order,” military adventurism, and raising taxes........... Bush was also an elitist who cared little for average Americans. George W. Bush..........like his father, Bush was a “moderate” Republican who masqueraded as a “compassionate conservative.” He also believed in military adventurism and started two wars, ballooned the government by creating the Department of Homeland Security, and stripped away the rights of Americans with the “Patriot Act.” He wanted to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens but was stopped by an outpouring of opposition from conservative groups. In the 2006 midterm election, his unpopular presidency ushered into power the Democrats in both chambers of Congress............Americans can thank George W. Bush for the disastrous Obama presidency..........

Thankfully, it was a disastrous week for the “wise wing” of the GOP. Not only did they lose Romney, but they also lost in their attempt to impeach a strong Trump supporter, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. The entire effort was a sham, much like the impeachments of President Trump.  Behind the scenes, the person leading the Paxton impeachment campaign was George P. Bush, Jeb’s son and the nephew of the former President. He had poorly lost to Paxton in the last election for Attorney General and was trying to oust his opponent through impeachment since he could not do it in the election. ............. Tony Buzbee, declared that Paxton’s opponents “did not have anything.”...........To Read More.....

President Bush’s address to the nation on 9/11

September 10th, 2023 3 Comments @ CFACT

THE PRESIDENT: Good evening. Today, our fellow citizens, our way of life, our very freedom came under attack in a series of deliberate and deadly terrorist acts. The victims were in airplanes, or in their offices; secretaries, businessmen and women, military and federal workers; moms and dads, friends and neighbors. Thousands of lives were suddenly ended by evil, despicable acts of terror.

The pictures of airplanes flying into buildings, fires burning, huge structures collapsing, have filled us with disbelief, terrible sadness, and a quiet, unyielding anger. These acts of mass murder were intended to frighten our nation into chaos and retreat. But they have failed; our country is strong.

A great people has been moved to defend a great nation. Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shattered steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve.

America was targeted for attack because we’re the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world. And no one will keep that light from shining.

Today, our nation saw evil, the very worst of human nature. And we responded with the best of America — with the daring of our rescue workers, with the caring for strangers and neighbors who came to give blood and help in any way they could.

Immediately following the first attack, I implemented our government’s emergency response plans. Our military is powerful, and it’s prepared. Our emergency teams are working in New York City and Washington, D.C. to help with local rescue efforts.

Our first priority is to get help to those who have been injured, and to take every precaution to protect our citizens at home and around the world from further attacks.

The functions of our government continue without interruption. Federal agencies in Washington which had to be evacuated today are reopening for essential personnel tonight, and will be open for business tomorrow. Our financial institutions remain strong, and the American economy will be open for business, as well.

The search is underway for those who are behind these evil acts. I’ve directed the full resources of our intelligence and law enforcement communities to find those responsible and to bring them to justice. We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them.

I appreciate so very much the members of Congress who have joined me in strongly condemning these attacks. And on behalf of the American people, I thank the many world leaders who have called to offer their condolences and assistance.

America and our friends and allies join with all those who want peace and security in the world, and we stand together to win the war against terrorism. Tonight, I ask for your prayers for all those who grieve, for the children whose worlds have been shattered, for all whose sense of safety and security has been threatened. And I pray they will be comforted by a power greater than any of us, spoken through the ages in Psalm 23: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me.”

This is a day when all Americans from every walk of life unite in our resolve for justice and peace. America has stood down enemies before, and we will do so this time. None of us will ever forget this day. Yet, we go forward to defend freedom and all that is good and just in our world.

Thank you. Good night, and God bless America.

Exclusive — Sen. Rand Paul: Congress Has to Borrow from China to Send $40 Billion in Aid to Ukraine

Sean Moran18 May 2022

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) told Breitbart News Daily that America has to borrow the money to send $40 billion in aid to Ukraine.  Breitbart News Daily host Alex Marlow spoke with Paul as the Senate remains poised to pass legislation that would send $40 billion in military and economic aid to Ukraine while Americans grapple with inflation and food shortages. Paul has “single handedly worked to hold up the Ukraine package, contending that the package needs an inspector general to ensure that the billions of dollars are spent wisely.  Paul said that America would have to continue borrowing from China to appropriate the proposed Ukraine aid package.

“I think it’s important to know that we don’t have any money to send, we have to borrow money from China to send it to Ukraine. And I think most people kind of get that, and many Republicans will say that when it’s a new social program, but if it’s military aid to a country, they’re like we can borrow that, that’s a justified borrowing,” Paul explained to Marlow.............To Read More.....

The ‘Foul Spirit’ of George W. Bush and America’s Ruling Class

Bush’s complete misunderstanding of that day, coupled with his apparent desire to rub our noses in his own failure and the failures of his class, is profoundly offensive.

By September 14, 2021 As with so many other aspects of our time, we seem destined to suffer the most trite and underwhelming imitations of things that once were great or at least impressive........ Can there be a more perfect synthesis of the last 20 years of disappointing American politics than this man? He exemplifies everything—unaware, unashamed, unapologetic—that the American ruling class has become..........The everlasting incompetence and mesmerizing self-delusion on display at his recent 9/11 remarks make that clear............to lecture the public while standing on the very spot where common, average, everyday people sacrificed themselves to save members of the elite? .....

What kind of a person stands on the very spot where heroic, valiant Americans perished in a tragic last-ditch effort to save a symbol of their ruling class—either the Capitol or the White House, no one knows for certain—and dares to offer criticism of the American people?   What kind of cretin could possibly stir himself to lecture the public while standing on the very spot where common, average, everyday people sacrificed themselves........

............Bush lectured ordinary Americans—some of them the very people felt compelled to answer his call to defend America 20 years ago at Ground Zero........that extra step is truly breathtaking............. The sheer violence to common decency, statesmanship, and self-awareness that George W. Bush, a man I voted for twice, achieved with his 9/11 speech is, I confess, difficult to comprehend. Bush ......... [he] searched the American landscape for a recent, festering wound to scratch . . . and broke it wide open.....To Read More.....

What Did Ted Cruz And Marco Rubio Learn From George W. Bush?

A key argument is developing between Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, and it raises the question: What did the GOP learn from George W. Bush?

An interesting and somewhat unexpected argument is beginning to take shape in the context of the 2016 Republican Presidential Primary between the two most prominent Tea Party Senators running for the nomination – Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. It is compelling because it demonstrates a real gap in terms of vision and priorities, but also because it speaks to very divergent views of the lessons of George W. Bush’s presidency, and how those lessons ought to be applied to the role of a future Commander in Chief.  It was technically Marco Rubio who fired the first shot – responding to Ted Cruz’s rising poll numbers with a series of ads slamming him for joining with the ACLU and others (er, supermajorities of others) to pass the USA Freedom Act, thereby weakening the NSA surveillance Rubio values so much and views as essential to protecting the homeland.........

When Cruz says Rubio and Clinton have “learned nothing”........Clinton, the obvious implication is that she has learned nothing from the fecklessness of President Obama’s lead from behind approach. But when he says Rubio and the “Washington neo-cons” have “advocated military adventurism” that has benefited “radical Islamic terrorists”, he is saying something different: he is accusing Rubio of not learning anything from the errors of the George W. Bush administration..........Of course, it’s no secret that Rubio was always miscast as a Tea Partier..........Rather than distance himself from George W. Bush’s approach to policy, Rubio has largely embraced it.........To Read More....
