The World as l See It: Green and Woke Insanity

The term "Woke" is a recent manifestation in the leftist lexicon, but it's truly the proper term to define leftist groups throughout time. They're all now part of the Church of Wokeness, which includes Greenies and a plethora of other leftist groups.  Even the Church of the Warming Globe is a sect of the Church of Wokeness now.

Time is the foundation of truth, and there are a number of things that's become stunningly clear about them.  There will be no end to their demands, there will be no way of pleasing them and someone is insane.

And that's the rub isn't.  Who's insane?

We have to be aware and "question everything", if we're going to understand what's going on around us.  Wisdom is the application of knowledge and understanding, so pay attention.

An article appeared in Cleveland Plain Dealer on Thursday, June 25th 2009 that was another example of why it is impossible to deal with, or please, one Woke contingent, the greenies. It appears there’s a 58 foot high dam on the Cuyahoga River near Akron, Ohio called the Gorge Metro Dam, which  operated as a hydroelectric power plant until 1958.

A company wanted to turn this small dam into a small hydroelectric power plant once again.  One that will serve about 2,000 homes. Green...right? The dam is already there...right? All that is required is to alter it a bit by putting the plant there again and create access roads to it...right?  How green can that be? Well…that is the 64 thousand dollar question isn't it, and the rub.

The project was stopped by the Ohio EPA and the Summit County Metro Parks and about 20 other groups who claim the dam serves no useful purpose, impairs water quality and prevents fish from moving upstream, so therefore, the dam should be torn down. Furthermore, the project would require clearing four acres of park for a new road "and the plant itself" and that would "potentially endanger plant species”.  Clearing four acres of park is a "potential" environmental disaster?  Really?

The "Woke" love the world "potential".  They must because they use it so much.  They have not one iota of evidence of harm, but because there "may be" a "potential" harm everything has to stop.  They love the word "potential" because it carries with it the ability to do so much damage without doing all that tedious and nasty research.  More importantly, research that might, just might, show they're wrong, and what could be more "Un-Woke" than actual evidence violating the tenets of their holy and self-righteous "Wokeness".

I thought that was all really interesting because when they stock Lake Erie with Coho salmon they go upriver and they die… on someone else's property...... and they really make a huge stink.   Of course that's typical for salmon, but there's another rub in this story.  They die in this river without creating next year’s brood.  It turns out the water quality there is naturally unsuitable for reproduction of Coho Salmon.

What about other fish. Who cares? They aren’t salmon and will adapt, and the salmon wouldn't be there in the first place if Ohio didn't keep stocking Lake Erie every year.

It gets better. Remember this is a “renewable” energy source to 2,000 homes. That's also part of the rub because as they're saying, "it's only 2,000 homes", meaning it's too small a project.  Imagine that!  Well, what if it was for 200,000 homes?  Would they then turn right around  and say the project was entirely too big!  Too small, too big, what's the criteria for making that evaluation?  There is none, and they won't create one because that would create a standard they could be held to.

But the rub gets better and better. Remember I said they hate evidence that might violate their holy "Wokeness".  Well, they found away around it. They refuse to even allow anyone to conduct an environmental impact study to “demonstrate the benign nature of the project”.

At this point the dam is still there and the contention continues.  There's no green that's green enough to satisfy those who are truly “green”, and there is no level of "Woke" insatiability that can be ameliorated by those attempting to appease the hypocritical demands of the "Woke".

Major League Baseball's decision to not have the All Star Game in Atlanta over the Georgia voter I.D. bill that works at preventing voter fraud is one of the most classic examples of their "woke"hypocrisy.  They're claiming they oppose any restrictions on the ability to vote because that's not their values.  Really?  What this is in reality is blatant corruption and hypocrisy because they made that decision after signing a new major contract with China.

So, apparently they support total tyranny in China, destruction of a relatively free and democratic Hong Kong, and voter fraud in America.   It appears their values allow for the dead to vote, illegal aliens to vote, non-citizens to vote, multiple votes by a single person, and votes from people who don't even exist, and the right to vote for one party, and one candidate hand picked by that party, and voting will be compulsory.  That's their values?   Remarkable!

Whether the issues involve going green, energy production, racial issues, voter fraud or any other of the unending issues thrown up by the Church of Wokeness, their minions in the media, academia and Congress,  we absolutely need to ask:  Is there any possible way to satiate the insatiability of the insane?

Answer?  No!  But we now clearly know who's insane!
