As you read Daniel's posts you have to come away with a couple of thoughts.  First, are these people nuts?  And second, we need to thank them for being so openly nuts.  One thing I think the world can thank Donald Trump for and that's his ability to flush the vermin out and into the open.  In this effort to destroy Donald Trump we're seeing he was absolutely right when he says "it's you they're going after, I'm just in the way".

Judge Throws Out Hunter Biden Plea Deal Over Blanket Immunity for Crimes - Hunter Biden got broad legal immunity from all tax crimes between 2014 and 2019.  The highlight of the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton was when immunity deals were handed out to all her associates in “exchange for their cooperation” and then all of their devices were erased and destroyed. The Hunter Biden investigation followed by a slap-on-the-wrist plea deal was equally a cover-up pretending to be an investigation. And a judge just threw it out the window.

My Take - As  you read the commentaries they state she was appointed by Trump, implication is she's a conservative MAGA Republican.  There's only one problem with that.  She seems to be a liberal Democrat who donated money to Hillary Clinton's campaign.  What's abundantly clear is she's not intimidated by the left, by the corruption in the federal judiciary, the Biden administration or the deep state.  Gutsy lady!

Mostly the media and politicians in this country have echoed those lies.  Here the New York Times breaks from that narrative, admits that judicial reform makes sense, and that the only problem is who’s carrying it out............

“Save the whales” CFACT boats protest offshore wind construction

CFACT and local fishermen took to the seas to protest construction of massive offshore wind farms off America’s East Coast.

The New York Post proclaimed that, “the winds of change are blowing.”

From The Post:

The coalition, organized by the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, sent out three boats to South Fork Wind Farm, roughly 20 miles from both Martha’s Vineyard and Montauk, NY, holding signs that read “STOP WINDMILLS SAVE WHALES” while shouting through a bullhorn at machinery operators to halt construction.

“Since offshore wind operations began in 2016, there is a disturbing number of whales washing up dead on beaches along the Eastern shores, and it is shocking to see how quickly utilities are willing to rush to construct them,” the group’s president, Craig Rucker, told The Post in a statement. “Their motto is almost like, ‘Damn the Whales, full steam ahead.’”

“In addition, these wind farms could wreak havoc on fishermen and their industry by disrupting the ecosystem from which they derive their livelihood,” he said. “We’re calling attention to all this by going on-site to the location of these destructive monstrosities and urging the operators to cease and desist in their reckless mission to deface our Eastern shores.”

The Biden Administration’s rush to spend billions on offshore wind is a colossal mistake.

Federal regulators are blowing right past their watchdog roles without fully understanding the threat wind platforms pose to endangered whales and other precious marine life.  They are blind to the unusual sight of whale carcasses washing up on our beaches.

Massive offshore wind construction is industrializing our unspoiled coast, to the detriment of marine life, fishermen, boaters and all who treasure our oceans.

To top it all off, these monstrosities are short-lived and generate mountains of waste that cannot be recycled.  Their footprint is massively dirty.  In addition, Europe has already proven that wind turbines are a TERRIBLE way to generate electricity!  Wind power is intermittent and inefficient.  When the wind does blow, the capacity to store any power they produce does not exist.

CFACT calls on federal regulators to halt offshore wind construction and fully evaluate the harm offshore wind can cause to whales, marine life, people and our power grid.

Barbie and the Left’s War on Childhood

Barbie dolls are meant for little girls from 3 to 12, while the Barbie movie is rated PG-13. The material in the movie isn’t appropriate for children, but neither is it appropriate for adults.

Parents are expected to take young girls to the movie which is one part pink glitz, as it is being marketed through every corporate media outlet, and one part extended feminist rant denouncing men and our society. Tacky and vulgar, Barbie the movie is the work of children in adult bodies who have been given adult powers, but confuse leftist virtue signaling with adult responsibilities.

Barbie is the latest invasion of childhood spaces by adults who have never grown up. Peter Pan long ago stopped being a fantasy and became an extended societal nightmare. The majority of attendees at Disney theme parks are no longer families, but childless millennials, and the same is true of subscribers to the Disney+ streaming service. Barbie follows up on Disney’s legacy of replacing family and children’s programming with deconstructionist millennial nostalgia binges.

The theme of so many classic children’s fantasies from Peter Pan to Narnia was there was a dividing line between childhood and adulthood. A time had to come when the toys were put away and the business suits were put on. But a generation came of age that put on the business suits and kept the toys out, that held off buying a car and a home, getting married and having children, to go on playing games. This is the generation that Barbie was made for.

Past writers nurtured childhood fantasies, yet knowing that they could never truly be a part of them, while their contemporary counterparts angrily stomp all over those fantasies with a mixture of adult themes and childish bitterness. Unable to truly immerse themselves into the escapist play of their childhood, they poison the well so that children won’t be able to do it either.

If they can’t play with their old toys, no one, especially children should be allowed to play.

This is the psychodrama that drives so much of the obsessive deconstructionism of classic characters and stories. Bitter aging millennials ‘update’ children’s stories so that they are no longer for children and fill them leftist virtue signaling and political rants. The classic “if you’re not outraged, you’re not paying attention” bumper stickers come to Barbie and everything else.

Writer-director Greta Gerwig brings an even dumber version of the same feminism that she used to dumb down her distorted adaptation of Little Women over to Barbie. The pink glitz and plastic sets of Barbie replace the lush period costumes of Little Women, but underneath are the same complaints about how unfair life is to women in a “patriarchal society”. Gerwig’s problem isn’t actually the ‘patriarchy’: it’s that she’s about to turn 40 and is still an unserious child.

The ‘patriarchy’ didn’t make Gerwig decide to date her much older current husband and Barbie co-writer Noah Baumbach after he broke up with his older wife, Jennifer Jason Leigh (and then skewered her in a movie, ‘Marriage Story’, in which she’s replaced by Scarlett Johansson.) Like previous cinematic feminist heroine Lena Dunham, Gerwig confuses her bad judgment with the patriarchy and uses a movie about a toy to blame society because she can’t make adult decisions.

Barbie captures the perpetual immaturity of media feminism better than ever Disney could. It’s a $300 million production that amounts to a session of aging women acting out a childish feminist narrative with Barbie and Ken dolls come to life. Underneath the pop tunes and fashions, its message is that being a woman and a doll are unhappy things. Call it a ‘late stage’ feminism in which there is little for women to aspire to beyond the spite that the movie spits at men.

What does feminism even mean in a world in which women dominate college admissions, but they also officially no longer exist? As marriages and families stretch further into the distance, what’s left except, as Gerwig’s counterpart in the movie played by America Ferrera does, than to find some toys to play with while mourning the rites of passage of adulthood and aging…

The realities of human existence were once confronted through faith and meaning, but Gerwig was raised a Unitarian Universalist, who went to Catholic School and loves the “ritual of religion”, having gone to “mosque and to synagogues”, while Noah Baumbach, despite making movies depicting Jewish characters, is the son of a Jewish father and a Protestant mother.

Faith and meaning are not on the table when all you have is pop culture and your old toys.

Toys writ large dominate Hollywood. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has swallowed up most of the industry and serious actors line up for their opportunity to appear in it. Mattel’s new CEO decided to take the Disney approach and view the toy company as a bunch of IPs that could be turned around into deconstructionist movies for depressed adults who hate being grown up.

Next up is a ‘surrealistic’ Barbie movie that will dig into ‘millennial angst’ and “focus on some of the trials and tribulations of being thirtysomething, growing up with Barney—just the level of disenchantment within the generation.” And the possibilities are endless.

With properties like American Girl, Hot Wheels, and Masters of the Universe, Mattel could have its own miserable cinematic universe for dysfunctional overgrown children who cry and denounce society while playing with their old toys. Just imagine how a Hot Wheels movie can lecture us about the environment or what He-Man could tell us about toxic masculinity.

It’s funny, but it’s also tragic. A generation of adult children have ruined childhood, not just by wrecking the privileged fantasy worlds that children naturally create, but by trying to make children into miniature adults. The sexualization of children in schools and pop culture is the natural outgrowth of adults who, like child molesters, think of themselves as still being children.

Adults protect and nurture children. A society in which bitter adults exploit children, deny them the safe harbor of their dreams and force them to act out personal and political psychodramas for their benefit is a deeply sick society. Like the Islamic terrorists who train children to kill, the child soldiers of the pop culture revolution are told from an early age that the world is on the brink of destruction and that their family members and friends are evil people. And that their mission is to dedicate their lives and personal happiness to changing the world.

Children who are denied safety and security, politicized at an early age, sexually groomed, become broken adults who are never able to move past their childhood traumas. And that is the ideal audience for feminist Barbie, depressed Barney and a whole world of broken toys.

Hollywood, like the rest of the leftist cultural empire, has collapsed the distinctions between adults and children. Appropriating and colonizing the culture of childhood is a generational imperialism that reflects the immaturity of adults and the abuse of children. Adults who refuse to let go of their toys, are also refusing to let children be children.

Instead, they force children to grow up while they never do.

An 1863 letter explains what reparations should be

Marxists in California must have missed CNN (Confederate Network News) on January 1, 1863, when Republican President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, which freed all the slaves from Democrat southern states. Following the Union victory over the Confederacy at the Battle of Antietam, the executive order declared that any enslaved person in Confederate states would be set free.

However, there was no one to free in California since that state entered the union in 1849 as a free state. But today, the absurd California Reparations Task Force wants to give up to $1.2 million to each eligible resident who might have had an ancestor that was enslaved in another state before 1863.

That sounds so progressive: take money from people who were not slave owners and give it to people who were not slaves.

Today’s bizarre conversation about slave reparations could only have started in California, a state that leans so far left that pink vagina hats are probably considered conservative. The failing state is led by Democrat Governor Gavin “Hair Gel” Newsom.

Newsom thinks that ruining the nation’s largest state is a path to the presidency: rampant crime where perps are rarely arrested, much less prosecuted; record-breaking drug overdoses as fentanyl comes through the state’s open southern border; textbooks filled with graphic sexual material promoting questionable lifestyles; homeless tents littering once iconic streets; and stores and offices sitting empty as businesses and their employees relocate to thriving red states.

The ridiculous discussion about reparations makes us wonder what Jourdon Anderson would have thought about all this.

Until his emancipation during the Civil War, Jourdon Anderson belonged to Colonel P. H. Anderson of Big Spring, Tennessee. Like many slaves, Jourdon’s surname was the same as the family that kept him in bondage.

Upon being freed, Jourdon and his wife Mary moved to Ohio, where both Jourdons found work that supported their growing family, consisting of some children born into slavery and some born free.

While Jourdon was thriving as a freedman, his former owner in Tennessee, like many plantation slave owners, discovered that it wasn’t easy running a farm when you had to pay your workers. Knowing where Jourdon had moved, Colonel Anderson wrote his former slave asking if he would return to the plantation and work for wages.

Unable to read or write, the letter was read to Jourdon, who dictated his response to his former “master.” That letter was published in the New York Daily Tribune on August 22, 1865, in a front-page article titled, “Letter from a Freedman to His Old Master.” In discussing the possibility of his returning to the plantation as a paid employee, the former slave Jourdon proposes reparations for him and his wife for the labor they performed under duress for their former owner. That is the definition of reparations!

As you read Jourdon’s letter, ask yourself if, today, Jourdon Anderson would follow the path of Dr. Martin Luther King, who believed the content of a person’s character was more important than their race, or if he would have adhered to Al Sharpton/Black Lives Matter philosophy that promotes black victimhood.

Sir: I got your letter, and was glad to find that you had not forgotten Jourdon, and that you wanted me to come back and live with you again, promising to do better for me than anybody else can. I have often felt uneasy about you. I thought the Yankees would have hung you long before this, for harboring Rebs they found at your house. I suppose they never heard about your going to Colonel Martin's to kill the Union soldier that was left by his company in their stable. Although you shot at me twice before I left you, I did not want to hear of your being hurt and am glad you are still living. It would do me good to go back to the dear old home again, and see Miss Mary and Miss Martha and Allen, Esther, Green, and Lee. Give my love to them all and tell them I hope we will meet in the better world, if not in this. I would have gone back to see you all when I was working in the Nashville Hospital, but one of the neighbors told me that Henry intended to shoot me if he ever got a chance.

I want to know particularly what the good chance is you propose to give me. I am doing tolerably well here. I get twenty-five dollars a month, with victuals and clothing; have a comfortable home for Mandy,—the folks call her Mrs. Anderson,—and the children—Milly, Jane, and Grundy—go to school and are learning well. The teacher says Grundy has a head for a preacher. They go to Sunday school, and Mandy and me attend church regularly. We are kindly treated. Sometimes we overhear others saying, "Them colored people were slaves" down in Tennessee. The children feel hurt when they hear such remarks; but I tell them it was no disgrace in Tennessee to belong to Colonel Anderson. Many darkeys would have been proud, as I used to be, to call you master. Now if you will write and say what wages you will give me, I will be better able to decide whether it would be to my advantage to move back again.

As to my freedom, which you say I can have, there is nothing to be gained on that score, as I got my free papers in 1864 from the Provost-Marshal-General of the Department of Nashville. Mandy says she would be afraid to go back without some proof that you were disposed to treat us justly and kindly; and we have concluded to test your sincerity by asking you to send us our wages for the time we served you. This will make us forget and forgive old scores and rely on your justice and friendship in the future. I served you faithfully for thirty-two years, and Mandy twenty years. At twenty-five dollars a month for me, and two dollars a week for Mandy, our earnings would amount to eleven thousand six hundred and eighty dollars. Cars are winning against the UK’s 15 Minute cities

It’s hard to believe someone thought that adding artificial blockages to roads would free people from their vehicle-addiction. As if making car trips artificially long, circuitous and inconvenient would teach people to love walking?

It’s part of the 15 minute city plan, where everything was supposed to be within a heavenly short walk from home, so we could give up cars, save the planet, change the atmosphere and get fit too. But the Deplorables didn’t like it.

The idea of a Low Traffic Network (LTN) sounded so apple-pie. Everyone wants fewer cars on the road. So when pollsters asked deliberately ambiguous questions, people would say “yes” they liked the idea. But living with LTN’s wasn’t much fun when it turned out it was their car the overlords wanted to get rid of. And so the protests and petitions began. Under the cover of darkness, people set bollards on fire, attacked them with chainsaws, and even poured concrete in the anchor holes so it was harder to replace them.

But what really seems to have got the attention of politicians is when their own party splits and the renegades win. As Tim Abrahams at UnHerd describes it, politicians are backing away quickly now after a couple of safe Labor council seats went to Labor rebels who left the party and ran on “pro-motorist” platforms.

There is a sense that politicians are increasingly waging a “war on cars”. Measures include road filtering, to give priority to low-carbon methods of transport, and placing extra charges on polluting vehicles, in a push towards net zero. The shift is prompting anguished debate and splits within parties.

Earlier this month, Labour lost one of its safest council seats in the country to a former party member-turned-independent who stood opposed to the imposition of LTNs across Newham, in East London. Last autumn, former Labour politician Lutfur Rahman was returned as mayor of Tower Hamlets, also in East London, deposing the party’s chosen incumbent, on a pro-motorist platform; one of his first acts was to axe a newly installed LTN and demand a review of the others across his borough.

In Oxford City, large swathes of Labour’s local party have defected to an independent group fighting the LTNs and the traffic schemes that will supersede them; in March, its official candidate in the Littlemore ward came within an inch of being beaten by such an independent.

The idea is gathering a bad smell so fast one Liberal Democrat in Oxford (the “Cabinet Member for Highway Management“) is now telling Tim Abrahams that the LTN’s weren’t his idea and it’s “not a core scheme”. As Abrahams tells it, the Liberal Democrats are part of the “rainbow coalition of progressive parties” who are in charge at Oxford — and it was something they once promoted. It’s quite the backflip.

Perhaps the best news is that bollards are going at Oxford:

Three years after traffic filtering was trialed, the bollards and planters are to be replaced by other forms of traffic calming, such as bus gates monitored by traffic cameras and a workplace car parking levy.

The message has got through to the top. On a Federal level the Transport Secretary even called last week for councils to “review unpopular anti-car schemes“. Mark Harper said he had stopped government funding for project “that are about… banning cars or making it difficult for motorists”.

Higher costs, less spare time, more gridlock and less equity: Who could have seen that coming?

What seems the most astonishing is that the whole plan worked like organised government-vandalism — the tyrants were Building Back Worse. They weren’t building new infrastructure, they were ruining perfectly good roads. They  reduced options, curtailed freedoms, and somehow our lives were supposed to get better? But people could always have walked from point A to B, they just preferred to drive. There were no efficiency gains, no better choices or new rail lines, there was just less.

And not surprisingly, longer trips meant more gridlock not less, more emissions, and the costs of extra travel meant even getting a tradie to do a house-call became much more expensive:

At a political level, there is some irony in the fact that europhile supporters of LTNs have not heeded the lesson of the gilets jaunes (yellow vest movement) protests in France — namely, that blue-collar workers will not be made sacrificial lambs to environmental policies. Idrees Mohammed, managing director of Oxford Lettings, a property management agency, told me that electricians now charge 60% more for a call-out into the Cowley LTN because it takes so long to get to it. Amir Steve Ali, who works in a takeaway in East Oxford, recently delivered a petition against LTNs to Downing Street with more than 30,000 signatures. “You’re trying to keep some of the roads clean-air, pollution-free — but you’ve just chucked your rubbish next door, where others are now facing gridlock,” he says. “Where’s the justice in this?”

It’s almost like the aim was never to serve, nor to change the weather, just to keep the riff-raff off the road.

The battle is far from over, but it’s nice to get a win. It is worth protesting.

If Jason Aldean Is Racist: We Need More Like Him

Six shooting deaths and at least twenty plus others were shot in Chicago  this past weekend alone.  Wanna guess what crayon color they represented on the color wheel? In one Philadelphia, PA weekend, 6 people were gunned down, i.e., shot dead on city streets (and an alley), including a 14-year-old boy.  

Wanna guess what color they represent on the color wheel?  

Another 14-year-old Philadelphia boy was shot in the leg while waiting at a bus top.  Care to test your powers of “guessability” per what crayon color he represents on a color wheel?  

The inciters of faux-racism have less than no interest in our remembering the 14-year-old Philadelphia boy who was chased from a bus stop and shot 18 times in broad daylight.  I’m sure everyone picked the correct crayon color on the color wheel for that one.  There was no real sustained outcry because, it was a “cultural thang” and no law enforcement was involved.

And yet, the topic that has dominated the “it’s racist drumbeats” has been Jason Aldean’s monster hit “Try That In A Small Town.”  What else would we expect from Biden instigators?

It’s a conundrum to sane persons how contradictory and conflicted the reasoning of hebephrenic minstrels and racism agitators can be.  These people are truly demonically influenced.  Jason Aldean’s song is music about the security and social construct of the small town South.  Perhaps even a reminder of melancholic and slow life of his childhood in Macon, Georgia.

Not everyone growing up in the South is or was a racist.  Regardless of what we see represented by Trotskyites like Stacy Abrams, Bernice King et al.  The purveyors of immiseration have nothing else to offer but lies and misrepresentation.  They’re truly evil, wicked people whose single agenda in life is to mislead and foment antipathy based upon the fallacious construct of skin color.  They would call a ham sandwich racist, because it was served on white bread.

Biden era statisticians can manipulate numbers and under-report the numbers, but the fact remains that while Soros-funded haters troll cities for incidents they can exploit as racist, the only population groups that even comes close to the violence absorbed and inflicted amongst so-called blacks themselves, are illegal alien South American gangs.

Professional agitators and stenotopic marplots would do well to focus attention upon what by any means of examination is responsible for the grotesque plight of so many melanin dominant persons today.

Let’s examine more pressing issues.  “According to the 2018 United States Census estimates, the United States population is approximately 14.6% Black or African American, which equals 47.8 million people. The Black-only population is 13.4%.  Since 1980, the Black immigrant population has increased fivefold.”  The problem with these numbers is they misrepresent the true whole, which at this point is difficult to accurately define.  This is because the census has become a conflation of those who are not true Americans.  

You can be from any number of other countries and identify as a hyphenated so-called black American, thus being included in the aggregate preceding.  I submit that the true number of these Americans is closer to 12 percent when factoring accordingly and combined with abortion and self-extermination.

These women have paid the so-called white man they absolutely hate, to murder 25-plus million of their children.  How many of those murdered children were the next great scientist, inventor, industrialist, doctor, military leader or the next great servant of God reaching people for Christ?

If these people invested the energy into education that they’re investing in lies, deceit and stupidity they could get out of the projects.  But, there’s an extreme myopia that makes it impossible for them to see beyond their nose.

These people are reflexively pavlovian.  They refuse to correct the moral decay and self-inflicted social stagnation that inhibits embracing modernity.  They act as if it was a chapter of Oath Keepers who burnt entire neighborhoods to the ground in Baltimore, MD, Ferguson, MO and other cities.

Americans who have toiled and struggled to overcome challenged beginnings are tired of hearing they’re racist, strictly because they made the most out of the hand they were dealt.  They’re tired of being called racists and accused of hateful speech, while the melanin dominant call one-another every form of “nigga’ and ho” they can put in a rhyme and add music; i.e., rap/hip-hop music.

We’re tired of being called sellouts and other names by the elementary minded tools of agitators.

So-called black people went on a summer of rage, riot, looting, burning and killing in the major cities across America.  Jason Aldean is right to bring this belligerent behavior to song and I applaud him and everyone else who does the same in similar fashion.

Many have forgotten the knock-out game; where street trash would walk up to an American with less melanin and smash them in the face as hard as possible.  Others would then grade the effectiveness of the punch.  If the person failed to get up or punched unconscious they were a big deal.  Out of fear or political correctness these animalistic heathens aren’t reported as the ghetto trash they are; the melanin content in their skin is omitted in news reports.  Unless the perpetrator has blond hair, blue eyes and much less surface melanin.

If Jason Aldean is a racist, then I’m all in because, we need more racists like him and President Trump.  I applaud and say amen for him writing such a wonderful song about the small town America I love.

The Minneapolis Effect: When Urban Policing Falls, Murder Soars

New statistical evidence supports what common sense showed all along.

Call it the Minneapolis Effect. Call it the Ferguson Effect. Either way, it takes nothing more than a little logical reasoning to see that when urban policing falls, murder soars. It’s a fairly simple equation that doesn’t require a genius to figure out – yet still the left-wing media have sought to discredit the theory for years. The statistical evidence is in, however, and it shows precisely what folks with actual common sense knew all along.

Murder in the Big Apple

On July 11, the journal Police Practice and Research published an article by Dae-Young Kim, associate professor of criminal justice at SUNY Buffalo State, in which he revealed how different types of homicide increased in 2020. His title asked: “Did De-policing contribute to the 2020 homicide spikes?” Breaking down New York City homicides into six categories, the article revealed an answer.

Kim organized Big Apple murders into the following groups: Gun, Non-gun, Domestic, Non-domestic, Gang, and Non-gang. He examined how each subset changed in the wake of a significant reduction in NYPD stops, which fell from 13,453 in 2019 to just 8,375 in 2020 – a 30% reduction. According to Kim, the change in proactive policing led to an increase in three of the categories – and it is not hard to guess which ones simply by looking at the list.

Gun, non-domestic, and gang-related homicides surged in the era of reduced policing, a direct relationship that seems to disappear when one examines the data from before the decrease in pedestrian stops. But of course. What effect would the level of policing on the street have on domestic violence and crimes of passion? A fear of the consequences suggests at least some level of premeditation. Gang violence, however, certainly makes sense in this context. It’s the gang members and others out walking the streets or driving around armed and looking for a criminal opportunity who would be the most impacted by officers stopping suspicious-looking people and checking them out. So it stands to reason that, when the police cut back on stops, this specific set of criminals would feel emboldened. When the cat is away, the mouse will play, as the saying goes.

Ferguson or Minneapolis – Pick Your Poison

Paul Cassell, a professor at S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, coined the term Minneapolis Effect back in 2021 to explain the spike in certain types of homicides during 2020 – especially among major urban areas. Out in the country, where fewer gangs operate and more everyday citizens go about armed, the relationship between police presence and violent crime is far less direct. In urban areas, however, people have been conditioned to rely on the police to protect them – and, more importantly, the criminals have been conditioned to fear only the police and rival criminals, not their intended victims. Cassell’s hypothesis was that de-policing after the George Floyd protests was to blame for the increase in murder within the major cities.

Even earlier, however, we had the Ferguson Effect. According to this theory, urban officers reduced their proactive policing for fear of public scrutiny on law enforcement after a white police officer shot and killed Michael Brown – a black teen – in Ferguson, MO, resulting in multiple waves of rioting over the next year. According to this hypothesis, the decreased policing – and perhaps the increased public hostility toward law enforcement – caused violent crime to increase in big cities around the nation.

Though the left-wing media tried to debunk both theories, the evidence was hard to write off entirely. A 2016 Pew Research Center survey of 8,000 officers from departments with at least 100 officers showed that about three-quarters polled said they were hesitant to use force, even when appropriate, and were less willing to stop and question suspicious people – and a whopping 93% of the cops said they were more concerned about their own safety than before.

Then there are the murder statistics revealed in Kim’s research – they certainly seem to point to Cassell’s Minneapolis Effect. Even far-left media outlets eventually were forced to admit that decreased policing seemed to result in more crime. So, the evidence would suggest that defunding the police – at least in the big cities – did not, as the ACLU famously averred in 2020, “make us safer.” But then, a good many Americans could have predicted that.

Affirmative Action Battle Moves on to the Military

One of the Biden administration’s big arguments for racially discriminating against white and Asian students in college admissions was the need for military diversity. More than half of the ‘national interest’ section in its amicus brief argued that the military “depends on a well-qualified and diverse officer corps” which requires that colleges select for diversity over merit.

“It is not possible to achieve that diversity without race-conscious admissions, including at the nation’s service academies,” Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar told the Supreme Court.

The Roberts decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard shot down affirmative action as a legal practice, but punted on the question of racial discrimination within the military and its service branch academies. A footnote briefly stated that, “no military academy is a party to these cases, however, and none of the courts below addressed the propriety of race-based admissions systems in that context. This opinion also does not address the issue, in light of the potentially distinct interests that military academies may present.”

The idea that racial discrimination should be illegal at colleges, but still legal at service branch academies like the Air Force Academy and the Naval Academy, is a loophole. Justice Sotomayor argued that the exception proves that “the Fourteenth Amendment does not categorically prohibit the use of race in college admissions.” And it’s hard to deny her reasoning. Either racially discriminating against students is legal or it’s illegal. National security can only go so far to justify an illegal practice especially when it’s a social element with an indirect effect.

Democrats quickly attacked Justice Roberts for seemingly leaving the carveout on military diversity that the Biden administration had demanded as a matter of national security.

“Adding insult to injury is that the Court exempted military service academies, like West Point and the Naval Academy, from its own ruling,” Rep. Elissa Slotkin complained. “So the majority on the Court does in fact recognize the inherent importance of a diverse military and that diversity makes our country not only more fair, but more stable and secure — but they refuse to allow our colleges and universities to hold the same values.”

“This decision is deeply upsetting but outright grotesque for exempting military academies. The court is saying diversity shouldn’t matter, EXCEPT when deciding who can fight and die for our country,” Rep. Jason Crow tweeted, inverting an illegal racial preference into a disadvantage.

Justice Roberts’ footnote and the outcry from Democrats and Republicans over the status of service branch academies suggests that affirmative action at service branch academies may have to be revisited at some point. Meanwhile some members of Congress are acting.

Senator Roger Wicker, a ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, plans to introduce his ‘Military Merit, Fairness, and Equality Act of 2023’ as an amendment to the defense bill which would “prohibit the Department of Defense from prioritizing the demographic characteristics of service members above individual merit and demonstrated performance.”

The senator has said that as part of that his amendment “would further prohibit our military service academies from engaging in race-based affirmative action.”

This legislation isn’t likely to advance in a Democrat Senate, but may be the beginning of an important conversation. Affirmative action did not arrive in the military yesterday, it has been around for far too long, but in recent years it has escalated to an alarming degree.

In May, an exclusive investigation by Front Page Magazine and the David Horowitz Freedom Center revealed that Air Force Chief of Staff Charles Q. Brown Jr., Biden’s nominee to succeed Milley as the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, had signed off on a quota that would keep the number of white male officers in the Air Force down to only 43%.

Even before Senate hearings on Brown’s nomination get underway, the American Accountability Foundation filed a complaint against the Air Force boss on the grounds that “General Brown has made statements in favor of making hiring and promotion decisions in the Air Force based on race.” It notes Brown’s public statements such as “I hire for diversity” and “I purposely build my office, my front office, and my team with diverse” backgrounds.

Military officials have stated publicly that service academies “employ race as a factor in recruiting and admission policies and decisions.” This is illegal, but there’s a reason that it’s been the trump card of proponents of this form of systemic racism. Many things get a pass when national security is introduced into the equation. National security has been used by the Biden administration to argue that abortion and transgender procedures on children should be legal. The Biden military brass have chosen to halt confirmation of 150 nominees, including the new commandant of the Marine Corps, rather than abandon its allegiance to abortion.

While the Biden administration has no interest in winning any wars, it wants to fight its culture wars using the military. Service branch academies have become battlegrounds on issues such as BLM and the LGBTQ movement. The Biden administration has also led a purge of alumni and conservatives from boards, including from the Air Force Academy and the Naval Academy.

Chief Justice Roberts may have wanted to avoid addressing racial discrimination at service branch academies, but it is an inescapable question. Unlike Harvard and Yale, there isn’t a sympathetic high-achieving minority group in the crosshairs. Asians are seen as underrepresented in the military and especially the officer corps, but their numbers have been growing sharply.

Asian students and candidates generally suffer from racial preferences in academic settings, but the military is still a case where they are seen as statistically underrepresented and less likely to be impacted by affirmative action. That is another reason why the Left would like to take the battle over systemic racism in college admissions into the service branch academies.

A legal battle over racial discrimination in and around the military would have white people as the victims. And not only white people, but poor white people. As the Biden amicus brief notes, “West Point, for example, reports that its efforts to emphasize socioeconomic status have actually reduced racial diversity”. What that means is that providing special preferences to poor kids reduced ‘diversity’ by helping poor white candidates. The same people who form the backbone of the active duty combat military. Discriminating by race is required, the Biden administration implicitly admitted, to keep poor white kids down in the ranks.

Those are the same poor white kids taking jobs at an Amazon warehouse or a fast food place instead of risking their lives for a military brass that wants them to be ready to die without hope of rising in the ranks to a real career because they were born with the wrong skin color.

There is a compelling moral case to be made for ending racial discrimination in the military. And an even more compelling national security case. Senator Wicker noted that, “a recent survey found nearly 7 in 10 active members believe the armed forces are being politicized and that this would affect whether they encourage their children to enlist”. The Biden administration claims that it needs to racially discriminate for national security, but its racism harms national security.

The Supreme Court needs to have the courage to do to systemic racism in the military what it did to systemic racism in civilian higher education. A nation, a society and a system cannot endure half-slave and half-free, half-racist and half-equal. It’s time to end military racism.

Okay, Let's Try and Get This Right Once and For All: Biden Was Elected Through Voter Fraud.

Why do I have to keep repeating that?

Editor's Note:  Apparently I've picked up my own personal censor at Blogger, and for those who aren't aware, Blogger owns the Blogger blogs.  I originally published this on October 31, 2022, but today, nine months later Blogger decided this article offended "their community standards", and removed it from the site.  I protested, and now they've totally deleted it.  I will save this elsewhere and keep posting it as need be. Update 9/13/2023: After Blogger completely deleted that October offering, they restored it without allowing it to be republished. So I protested their action again, and again, and again, and finally sometime in the last two weeks Blogger republished it, approximately two months later.   Why aren't I more specific on the dates?  Blogger doesn't send a notice, they just un-publish it, and if you're not regularly paying attention to the trash link, you aren't aware of what they've done, or when they've done it.  They also don't send a notice when they restore an article.  Recently someone at Blogger deleted a "draft" article because it offended their "community standards"!  A draft article mind you, not even a published piece.   But now I pay more attention to all this and protested that action the same week, and it was restored immediately.  RK

Since I search out and store so much material on all I write about I come to conclusions on issues more quickly than most, and usually it's because I see patterns easily and usually before everyone else, which isn't a big deal if you keep those conclusions to yourself.  

Then I make the mistake I've made forever in my life.  I just assume since I know all this stuff, everyone must know all this stuff.  That is a totally erroneous conclusion, and a serious error in judgement, especially when your conclusion is out of step with the narrative of the moment, and it boggles my mind  how many conservatives refuse to accept the fact voter fraud, a nationally organized massive conspiracy of voter fraud, is real, it's been going on for decades and it's going on right now.

Let's start with my, "old retired men's coffee klatsch group", that met at the McDonald's in the morning before they closed it to prevent a pandemic disaster from an affliction that had a 99.7% recovery rate, and it still isn't open for sit down customers.  

One morning one of the guys came in and announced regarding the 2020 election that "Trump is screwed".  I said stop believing in polls and look at the crowds.  Trump draws massive crowds and Biden draws crickets.  I then said the only way Biden will be elected is through voter fraud, and said I thought fraud was going to be massive in the 2020 election.

Everyone had either a look of surprise or a look of disbelief.  

So, the history book in me came out.  I said I've been closely following this trend since 2008 when Al Franken defeated Republican incumbent Norm Coleman by 312 votes.  Votes that kept appearing out of nowhere.  It amazes me how they can keep "finding" votes that seemingly disappeared.  Where did they go?  How did they disappear?  Why is it "found" votes always elect a Democrat?  

 

Not to mention votes of people all over who aren't allowed to vote, like in Chicago where dead people have the right to vote, but there's one thing in common.   No matter where this is happening, these "found" votes are almost sure to be for Democrats, with a sprinkling for Republicans to make it look legit, except in Michigan were 138,000 votes miraculously appeared in the middle of the night and guess what.  They all, every one of them, voted for Biden.   A miracle!  Or maybe Scotty beamed them down from the Enterprise.  Oh, wait....that's fiction.....imagine that.  Even the Post Office "finds" them, two years later.

At any rate, I then went on to note voter fraud is how LBJ first got elected to Congress and how Kennedy was elected through voter fraud, all of which is now acknowledged as fact.   Everyone knew Kennedy was elected through fraud, and so too did Nixon, but he refused to challenge the vote because he feared it would be detrimental to the nation.  Another Nixon failure, since if he'd done it then perhaps that would have prevented what we're seeing today. 

The evidence of voter fraud for Biden being elected to be President of the United States is massive and overwhelming, and if the bugman can track this stuff how is it possible the media and political elements, on both sides of the aisle are incapable of it?  They're not, they're part of the problem.  

The 2020 Election Requires Believing the Unbelievable:

In order for anyone to believe Biden is a legitimately elected President of the United States you must believe all these anomalies are natural and normal coincidences.    That's simply not believable!  And there's no such thing as a conspiracy! Right?

What started this piece was this article about Pennsylvania.   Pennsylvania’s Department of State Has Sent Out 249,000 Ballots to Unverified Voters in 2022 Election, saying:

In Pennsylvania, the Department of State has allowed at least 249,000 unverified voters to receive mail-in ballots so far in the 2022 general election, due to an odd process for verifying the identity of those requesting mail-in ballots where people vote first and verify their identification later.

Pennsylvania has been a rotten fruit of voter fraud, and it appears nothing's changed.   Voter fraud is a rotten fruit that infected Arizona, California, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Georgia, Wisconsin, Texas, even in the military.  We're even seeing it taking place right now in Florida.  

According to Just The News:  “Ballot brokers typically work up to a year in advance, ” ..........So this has been going on for years in the Orlando area and, up until now, nobody did anything about it. It's coercive, illegal, anti-democratic, widespread, and slimy.  According to a 2020 GOP congressional investigation of ballot harvesting, the kinds of problems this largely illegal (outside California) practice, which is growing, is all about this kind of activity:

The article linked above shows just  how corrupt and coercive this has become, and it's real.   And the failure of the courts, especially the Supreme court has in effect institutionalized voter fraud in America, although we're now seeing some movement in the courts to change that.

Voter fraud elected Biden, and Pennsylvania is going to attempt to do the same to elect Fetterman, and any other state where the numbers are close, and that's why the Democrats like early voting, that way they know how many votes need to "be found", and how many votes need to be shredded.
