Entire South Carolina Town’s Police Force Resigns

Defund the police policies leave cities in perilous positions.

The city of McColl, SC, had a rude awakening when its entire police force resigned this week. Bob Hale, the chief, put his resignation in first, then the four other officers he had brought with him followed suit. Hale took to Facebook to explain his reasons, citing a toxic work environment caused by a councilmember, harassment and hostility, and not enough resources.

Police Resign

“My personal decision to step away from the McColl Police Department can be attributed to repeated acts of harassment, personal attacks on my character, and the overall creation of a hostile work environment perpetuated by a specific Councilman,” the police chief explained in a public Facebook post.

He added, “For months, I have endured unwarranted and malicious behavior aimed at undermining my integrity and leadership. These actions have not only affected me personally but have also created a toxic atmosphere that has hindered the department’s ability to function effectively.” Hale claimed that “the majority of my tenure as Chief of Police was spent clearing the names of my officers as well as myself, from the numerous falsehoods that were made against us.”

While Hale didn’t name the councilman in question, former McColl Investigator Courtney Bulusan, who quit last week, identified him as Harry Benjamin, telling WMBF News, “I’m not going where I’m tolerated. I’m going to go where I’m celebrated.” Like the police chief, she cited lack of tools to do her job.

The small town has been rapidly losing citizens. The 2020 census listed the population at 2,174, but in 2023 that number was down to 1,993. While this may have contributed to budget cuts and not allocating more money for training, new officers, and equipment, the residents of McColl will still be without a police department beginning Friday, Nov. 29. McColl Mayor George Garner said he has asked other agencies close by to assist during the transition.

McColl isn’t the first city to lose its police department. On Oct. 31, three officers and its chief, the entire force, resigned in Geary, OK. That same day, two city council members also quit, and the mayor resigned after that. Councilmember Glen Coleman said in a letter that the city administration “should not allow personal goals or agendas to affect the city.”

Police Chief Alicia Ford, who resigned from the department, cited low budgets and being understaffed. The town used to have six officers, but that number dropped to just four.  She had to do administrative work, one officer was stationed at the local high school, and the other two covered the city. “So that would [leave] two officers to do basically 24 hours … five to seven days a week,” she told Fox News. “But honestly, who wants to do that for extremely low pay?” She added, “They cut the jail. They cut our dispatch, and that put strain on us.”

Last year, the Minco, OK, police chief and city mayor resigned due to budget cuts that would slice the department’s funding in half. Also in 2023, the entire police force of Goodhue, MN, quit, claiming $22-an-hour pay gave “zero incentive” for officers to be on call or look forward to advancement.

Police officers resigning became a trend after cities decided to join defund the police movement. Staff were let go, budgets were cut, and personnel said they felt targeted by citizens and city staff because of the negative messages about law enforcement being circulated around the nation. But this isn’t just happening in blue states, as can be seen with McColl. Providing law enforcement enough resources and pay to risk their lives to protect citizens keeps dwindling. The men and women in blue are just not willing to put their lives on the line where they are not respected or fairly compensated by the officials in charge.

Will the Real Tim Walz Please Stand Up!

Yesterday I published this piece on Walz's stolen honor, entitled, Duty, Honor, Integrity, Valor!, but that's just the tip of the iceberg of the character of Tim Walz, and that character isn't pretty.  So let's explore the other issues surrounding Walz in order to find out who the real Tim Walz truly is.  The one they're trying to whitewash, or the one who has a track record that's despicable?

The Democrat party VP pick process by the Kamala and her cabal was a mess, and since it was Eric Holder who was allegedly in charge of that effort, we shouldn't be surprised.  Far left, and big on dumb.   And Katie Pavlich says, look who's taking credit for Kamala's VP Pick.  The Democrat Socialists of America. 

There's a ton of dirt on Walz, some of which I'm going to cover today, and it's not going over well with Americans, and seemingly not with Democrats either.  While I don't believe in polls, this one is really startling, as it claims only 17% of Americans have a positive view of her choice.....that's a lot of Democrat discontent. 

Harris and Walz Go for Mainstream - These two radicals hope to fool America into thinking they’re reasonable.

Of course Nancy Pelosi, with her sharp intellect and uncanny rational grasp of reality assures us that Tim Walz, Kamala's radical leftist pick, is right "down the middle” of America, in spite of his view that the red states are nothing by rocks and cows.  Kinda like a Hillary's "deplorables", a slap in the face of vast numbers of Americans whose votes she needed, and didn't get.  While Minnesota isn't a "Red State" it is a sparsely populated agricultural state....full of cows and rocks.  Is that what he thinks of Minnesota also?

Then there's that brilliant political mind, that amazing reincarnation of RFK, Beto O'Rourke.  He told another mega mind, Jen Psaki, Texas could possibly be in play because... and get this.... because Harris and Walz are creating so much excitement the Democrats are filled with joy, and "electricity moving through the system."  So much so he thinks they have the ability to impact the down ticket so much they're going to take back the House of Representatives.  And of course, Jen was pleased as punch.   I wonder what he knows?  Is he in the voter fraud underground movement and has the inside track on their efforts?  Just a thought. 

But in spite of being called a coward by his military comrades, Bloomberg writer, Francis Wilkinson, claims “Tim Walz’s Masculinity Is Terrifying to Republicans",  as he's a Democrat gun hunting horse back riding Ronald Reagan.  Remarkable!!!! 

Well, over at American Thinker, where the word think actually means what says, Olivia Murray, says Walz’s alleged ‘traditional masculinity’ isn't a threat to Republicans and "In fact it’s the exact opposite—we despise him for lacking it."....... "So he totes a gun and wears camo? That’s called a costume, and it’s that charade that disgusts us." And that's the mild part of her commentary.

Democrats Go Long on ‘Tampon Tim’ and Transing the Kids - Leftists are horrified that people might find it stupid to stock boys’ bathrooms with menstrual products.....

Minnesota, which has voted for these leftist nitwits for 50 years, but perhaps Minnesota isn't that pleases with Walz either.  

Minnesota House Minority Leader Lisa Demuth (R) called Kamala Harris and Tim Walz "the most extreme ticket in recent presidential history." She took Walz apart. 

Gov. Walz likes to tout his legislative achievements from the past two years of one-party Democratic control, but voters need to know the real story. The last two years featured some of the most extreme and irresponsible policies we’ve ever seen in our state: $10 billion dollars in tax increases, an unsustainable and unaffordable 40 percent increase in state spending, New fees on your online orders, massive cost increases for your Uber and Lyft rides, expensive and extreme energy mandates that will drive up the electric bills for you and your family, and even a gas tax increase that goes up automatically every single year!

She also pointed out among other things that Walz signed a bill "to give illegal immigrants free tuition, drivers licenses, and even health benefits, making Minnesota a magnet for illegal immigration" and let the BLM riots in 2020 get out of control, that resulted in all kinds of injuries, even deaths, and millions in damages before he was "forced to respond."

Then we have this bit of leftist brilliance,  ‘One Person’s Socialism Is Another Person’s Neighborliness’! Which Andrea Widburg says:

Tim Walz is the Id of the Democrat party, an open advocate for socialism and everything that comes with it: socialized medicine, an essentially nationalized economy, the end of the hydrocarbon usage that makes the modern world possible, a feminized military, a pro-Iranian foreign policy, a war on sexual norms and (by extension) on children, unlimited abortion, and racism. Always, always racism, including a drive to re-segregate America after all the efforts we made to desegregate it. That last point makes it incredibly ironic that one of Walz’s newly famous statements about socialism echoes South Africa’s “Architect of Apartheid.”.......

And he calls Trump a fascist who is a threat to Democracy, and yet supports Biden-Harris’s big 3 gun control policies. There's a reason for this old maxim: "You can vote into Socialism, but have to shoot your way out." 

Update, 8/14/24: Minnesota Grandma Jailed Over COVID Lockdown Warns Walz ‘Will Take Your Rights Away’ - A Minnesota grandma and former business owner who was jailed for defying lockdown orders during the coronavirus pandemic warned that Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) “will take” Americans “rights away.” In an interview with Fox News, Lisa Hanson, who owned the Interchange Wine & Coffee Bistro in Albert Lea, explained how after watching Walz allow businesses such as “big-box stores” to reopen while keeping “mom-and-pop” businesses shuttered, she decided to defy the lockdown orders and ended up serving a 60-day jail sentence and receiving a $1,000 fine.........

Antisemitic

Why didn't Kamala's cabal pick Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) for her running mate.  Well, here's one answer.  It was claimed a poll showed he wouldn't have helped her win the election, in spite of the fact he has a 77% approval rating in Pennsylvania.  Polls are really to be trusted....right?  

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, who you might think would be the logical pick for a couple of reasons: he could help the race in Pennsylvania -- which Harris has to win to have any chance -- and he is more moderate, so that could help Harris seem more moderate.

Oh, no!  No moderates in the party representing "democracy" in America.  Or, then again, there's this possibility, just a shot in the dark mind you, but it's possibly.....just possible mind you..... there's are real stench of antisemitism controlling them party, and Kamala is an antisemite.  Both she and the party wanted a like mind as her running mate.  The fact of the matter is Harris and Walz deserve each other, as "Walz’s political career reveals the true him. Timidity and pandering are the hallmarks of his governorship."

Just a guess or course, but it does seem to be a strange coincidence she met with pro-Hamas activists at the disastrous Detroit rally where she made the announcement.   Does that seem telling to anyone except me?  Or you really believe there are coincidences in politics? 

After all, Shapiro may have embraced totally unacceptably favorable views about Israel's continued existence.  Imagine that.  Not to mention he's entirely too Jewish. Can't have that in a party that's younger members are getting more extreme by the day, and part of their extremism is the level of antisemitism they've embraced, which isn't inert or passive.

There are those who claim Jews are a spent political force with the Democrats, as Harris caters to Muslims in Michigan promoting an arms embargo to Israel, and Walz plays footsie with Hamas, and praised a Hitler supporting Imam as ‘Master Teacher’.   Nothing scary there....right?  What could possibly go wrong? 

Update, 8/14/24: News of Tim Walz Hosting Pro-Hitler Imam Gets Worse With Unearthed Footage - This article has been updated to include how even CNN has covered the scandal involving Walz and Imam Zaman. Last Friday, days after he was selected as Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate, it was reported that Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) had hosted Asad Zaman, an imam who spoke out against Israel on October 7 and shared pro-Hitler propaganda. While the Harris-Walz campaign claimed that Walz had no personal relationship with Zaman, a new report is out showing otherwise..........

Yet, what will we find after the election?   We're going to find America's Jews will still vote for the defenestration of Israel, and their continued abuse here in America.   Jews are arguably the smartest people on the planet.  They've also been the most successful ethnic group in history, in spite of the fact they've been abused, discriminated against, decimated, and done so for thousands of years.  I keep asking, how can they be so stupid?

There's a China connection with Tim Walz, and it's one I don't understand, and it's a connection I think should be explored, and we'll come back to the issue of George Floyd.

Wow!  And this was covered by CNN?  That goes to show that even a blind monkey can find a coconut once in a while, or then again, perhaps because they're going out of business if things keep going as they are CNN is trying to create a new image?  Nah, this is an anomaly, and even if it isn't nothing will save them.

 

Have no doubt, the riot the burned Minneapolis over the death of George Floyd, who was a thug, and he wasn’t murdered, falls right in the lap of Tim Walz, who would happily allow that to the rest of America, with support from Kamala and the Democrat party.

• Walz Slammed for ‘Hesitating’ to Send in Guard as His Daughter Tipped Off Rioters via Social Media  - "To be clear, the national guard will not be present tonight."  Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey was critical of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s response to the unrest in his city in May 2020, saying later that year that the governor hesitated to send the National Guard as the city burned in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death. Frey spoke out about Walz’s response during an August 2020 interview with the Star Tribune, telling the outlet his office made multiple dire requests for National Guard resources to the governor that were not granted until after the city was forced to abandon a besieged police precinct ........... According to the Senate committee report, around the same time the National Guard was being mobilized and starting to arrive in Minneapolis, the governor’s daughter, Hope Walz, was given “access” to “confidential information that she then disseminated to the general public and rioters

It appears the entire Walz family suffers from a serious case of "weird".

Tim Walz Signed Law to Strip Children of Parental Protections - Gov. Tim Walz signed a law that strips parental protections from out-of-state teenagers and children who claim to want irreversible transgender medical treatment in Minnesota. He also signed laws that install tampon-dispensing machines in K-12 schools to broadcast the state’s claim that teenage girls can choose their legal sex, and also a law that allows pedophilia to be someday legally protected under existing state anti-discrimination laws.............

The Democrats latest meme is that Republicans are "weird", really weird.  But the fact is with the exception of now disgraced RINO's, the Democrats almost have a monopoly on weird, and the 'Chief Weirdo is Tim Walz'.

Don’t Fund the Police, Fill the Prisons

Despite that being the slogan of Black Lives Matter, little actual police defunding has taken place outside of a few major cities. Many police departments could use more resources, but the massive crime wave that cities are faced with is not about a lack of police funding. 

What happened wasn’t that police were defunded, but that new laws and the enforcement of existing laws and policies changed the crime landscape so that many behaviors that used to be criminal were no longer treated as such while standard police tactics were criminalized.

The release of large numbers of prisoners during the pandemic to protect them from COVID along with the refusal of pro-crime prosecutors, particularly those funded by Soros, and pro-crime judges to actually lock up offenders turned low crime rates into high crime rates.

Funding the police doesn’t do anything except take offenders off the street for a few hours.

There have been a multitude of accounts out of San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, and other major cities of monsters who are arrested for violent attacks, who are released only to carry out another attack and then are promptly released all over again.

Frank Abrokwa smeared his feces on a woman in the New York City subway, was arrested, released, and then committed an anti-semitic hate crime, and then was released again.

He had punched a man on the subway in January and another man at a bus station in February.

Nothing in the NYPD’s $5 billion budget is going to make a serious dent in the reign of terror posed by Abrokwa and a few thousand junkies, criminals, vagrants, and crazies like him as long as New York State’s effective elimination of bail continues releasing monsters like him.

Beyond stationing a police officer every 10 feet, funding the police won’t fix this nightmare.

Despite 44 prior arrests, Abrokwa continued to be freed because New York State, under Cuomo, had tossed out bail. Cuomo crony, Gov. Kathy Hochul, insisted that she will not lock up criminals because that would be too mean and it would upset AOC and the state’s lefties.

“I will absolutely stand behind the fundamental premise on why we needed bail reform in the first place," Hochul ranted. “Others, who are trying to politicize this, and the other party don’t seem to acknowledge why there was a need for change.”

Former Philly mayor and ex-cop Frank Rizzo once joked that, "a conservative is a liberal who got mugged the night before." These days a supporter of Black Lives Matter who had feces rubbed in their hair during their weekend outing could just as easily get the wake up call.

In 2020, Mayor Bill de Blasio boasted that he had reduced the city's prison population from 11,000 to less than 4,000.

The disgraced radical politician claimed that the result was "smaller, safer, and fairer for all."

One out of three ain't bad.

De Blasio announced that the city had the smallest prison population since 1946. Not only does the city have over a million more people than it did in 1946, it has a very different population due to decades when the city’s middle class fled crime enabled by his predecessors leaving behind a lot of career welfare recipients and their subsidiary junkies, muggers, and De Blasio voters.

When the De Blasio administration bragged that the number "of people entering jail fell to about 600 people, compared to 3,300", the excess number went on mugging, assaulting, and robbing people instead of safely, fairly, and justly being locked away where they couldn’t hurt anyone.

The NYPD had over 34,000 uniformed officers who had helped dramatically lower crime rates a decade ago. Now it has over 36,000 uniformed officers and crime is killing New York City.

Police officers are the tip of the spear, but it’s just as unfair and unrealistic to expect them to make city streets safe on their own. It would be just as crazy to expect garbage men to clean up the city without letting them take out the trash. Especially if government officials passed laws putting the trash back on the street almost as soon as the garbage trucks picked it up.

A city with a small police force, but an effective justice and penal system is much safer than one with a huge police force, but no functioning justice or penal system.

A cop who is allowed to do his job is worth a thousand cops who know that when a video of them stopping a crazed junkie goes viral, elected officials will throw them under the bus and then throw the book at them. It doesn’t matter how big the police budget is when the only thing that the cops are allowed to do is show up, speak softly and then fill out a big report.

American cities still have large police forces with huge budgets.

The NYPD budget is over $5 billion, the LAPD budget is pushing $2 billion, as is the Chicago Police Department. The eye-popping police budgets are necessarily largely because politicians and cultural elites have created ongoing crises that require constant police intervention.

When there are tent cities every few blocks, junkies casually shoot up outside schools, and crazies freely assault random people before getting out a few hours later, basic public safety involves plowing billions into large forces full of men with guns to provide plausible deniability.

Funding the police makes it look like the politicians are dealing with the crisis they created.

But that’s a lie. And any cop will tell you so. Under these circumstances the police aren’t there to keep cities safe, they’re there to make the politicians look good and then take the fall for them.

Not only do we already know how to clean up cities, but we did it within the living memory of virtually every human being over 25 years old. Take the junkies and crazies off the streets, write laws so that there are real consequences for career criminals, and enforce quality of life rules.

It’s not only common sense, but it turned around some of the worst cities of America.

It worked so well that the downtowns of those cities filled up with insufferable hipsters eagerly absorbing the latest idiotic academic theory which, in the case of ‘decarceration’ did for public safety in New York City and San Francisco what Communism did for Soviet agriculture.

The pandemic sent many of those same hipsters fleeing to the suburbs and rural areas, and other states entirely, even as they continue to write and share the same smug op-eds and memes, while leaving battered cities with unlivable city centers in their wake.

Everything they say leaves our country and the public debate on any subject dumber.

Police defunding is no longer a serious issue. When even Joe Biden, who doesn’t use the bathroom without first getting permission from Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, can embrace, “Fund the Police”, you know the whole thing has become an empty distraction.

Fund the police, sure.

Add another billion to the NYPD budget, another $200 million to the LAPD and CPD budgets, but don’t expect anything to change as long as shoplifting is legal and crack is considered a health food. When gang leaders can recruit 12-year-olds to carjack suburban moms shopping at malls, and the growing population of crazies can punch as many people as they like on public transportation, funding the police becomes a distraction from the real crime crisis.

Funding the police won’t stop the nightmare in our cities. Only filling up the prisons will.

When the progressive woke revolution took over traditional America, matters soon reached the level of the ridiculous.

Take the following examples of woke craziness and hypocrisy, perhaps the last best witnessed during Mao Zedong's Cultural Revolution.

The Biden administration, from its outset, wished to neuter immigration law. It sought to radically alter the demography of the U.S. by stopping the border wall and allowing anyone who could walk across the southern border into the United States.

Over seven million did just that. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden ignored the role of the Mexican cartels in causing nearly 100,000 ANNUAL American fentanyl deaths.

Then, border states finally wised up.

They grasped that the entire open-borders, "new Democratic majority" leftwing braggadocio was predicated on its hypocritical architects staying as far away as possible from their new constituents.

So, cash-strapped border states started busing their illegal aliens to sanctuary blue-state jurisdictions.

Almost immediately, once magnanimous liberals, whether in Martha's Vineyard, Chicago, or Manhattan, stopped virtue-signaling their support for open borders.

Instead, soon, they went berserk over the influx.

So now an embarrassed Biden administration still wishes illegal aliens to keep coming but to stay far away from their advocates -- by forcing them to remain in Texas.

That means the president has redefined the U.S. border. It rests now apparently north of Texas, as Biden cedes sovereignty to Mexico.

Pre-civilizational greens in California prefer blowing up dams to building them.

They couldn't care less that their targeted reservoirs help store water in drought, prevent flooding, enhance irrigation, offer recreation, and generate clean hydroelectric power.

An absurdly green California is currently destroying four dams on the Klamath River. In adding insult to injury, it is paying the half-billion dollar demolition cost in part through a water bond that state voters once thought would build new -- not explode existing -- dams.

The Biden administration is mandating new dates when electric vehicles will be all but mandatory.

To prove their current viability, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm led a performance art EV caravan on a long road trip.

When she found insufficient charging stations to continue her media stunt, she sent a gas-powered car ahead to block open charging stations and deny them to other EVs ahead in line.

Only that way could Granholm ensure that her arriving energy-starved motorcade might find rare empty charger stalls.

In some California charging stations, diesel generators are needed to produce enough "clean" electricity to power the stalls.

The state has steadily dismantled many of its nuclear, oil, and coal power plants. It refuses to build new natural gas generation plants.

Naturally, California's heavily subsidized solar and wind plants now produce too much energy during the day and almost nothing at night.

So, the state now begs residents to charge their EVs only during the day. Then, at night, Californians may soon be asked to plug them in again to transfer what is left in their batteries into the state grid.

Apparently, only that way will there be enough expropriated "green" electricity for 41 million state residents after dark.

One of the loudest leftist voices to defund the police and decriminalize violent crimes in the post-George Floyd era was Shivanthi Sathanandan, the 2nd vice chairwoman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party.

She was recently not shy about defunding: "We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department. Say it with me. DISMANTLE."

But recently, the loud Sathanandan was a victim of the very crime wave she helped to spawn.

Last week, four armed thugs carjacked her automobile. They beat her up in front of her children at her own home and sped off without fear of arrest.

The reaction of the arch-police dismantler and decriminalizer on her road to Damascus?

For the first time, the now bruised and bleeding activist became livid that criminals had taken over her Minneapolis: "Look at my face. REMEMBER ME when you are thinking about supporting letting juveniles and young people out of custody roam our streets instead of HOLDING THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS."

Andrea Smith was an ethnic studies professor at the University of California, Riverside. But now she has been forced out after getting caught lying that she was Native American.

Prior to her outing, she was well known for damning "white women" (like herself) who opted to "become Indians" out of guilt and (like her) for careerist advantage.

The common theme of these absurdities is how contrary to human nature, impractical and destructive utopian wokeism, whether in matters of energy, race, crime, or illegal immigration.

There are two other characteristics of the Woke Revolution.

One, it depends solely on its advocates, never having to experience firsthand any of the nonsense they inflict on others.

And two, dangerous zealots with titles before and letters after, their names prove to be quite stupid -- and dangerous.

The Minneapolis Effect: When Urban Policing Falls, Murder Soars

New statistical evidence supports what common sense showed all along.

Call it the Minneapolis Effect. Call it the Ferguson Effect. Either way, it takes nothing more than a little logical reasoning to see that when urban policing falls, murder soars. It’s a fairly simple equation that doesn’t require a genius to figure out – yet still the left-wing media have sought to discredit the theory for years. The statistical evidence is in, however, and it shows precisely what folks with actual common sense knew all along.

Murder in the Big Apple

On July 11, the journal Police Practice and Research published an article by Dae-Young Kim, associate professor of criminal justice at SUNY Buffalo State, in which he revealed how different types of homicide increased in 2020. His title asked: “Did De-policing contribute to the 2020 homicide spikes?” Breaking down New York City homicides into six categories, the article revealed an answer.

Kim organized Big Apple murders into the following groups: Gun, Non-gun, Domestic, Non-domestic, Gang, and Non-gang. He examined how each subset changed in the wake of a significant reduction in NYPD stops, which fell from 13,453 in 2019 to just 8,375 in 2020 – a 30% reduction. According to Kim, the change in proactive policing led to an increase in three of the categories – and it is not hard to guess which ones simply by looking at the list.

Gun, non-domestic, and gang-related homicides surged in the era of reduced policing, a direct relationship that seems to disappear when one examines the data from before the decrease in pedestrian stops. But of course. What effect would the level of policing on the street have on domestic violence and crimes of passion? A fear of the consequences suggests at least some level of premeditation. Gang violence, however, certainly makes sense in this context. It’s the gang members and others out walking the streets or driving around armed and looking for a criminal opportunity who would be the most impacted by officers stopping suspicious-looking people and checking them out. So it stands to reason that, when the police cut back on stops, this specific set of criminals would feel emboldened. When the cat is away, the mouse will play, as the saying goes.

Ferguson or Minneapolis – Pick Your Poison

Paul Cassell, a professor at S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, coined the term Minneapolis Effect back in 2021 to explain the spike in certain types of homicides during 2020 – especially among major urban areas. Out in the country, where fewer gangs operate and more everyday citizens go about armed, the relationship between police presence and violent crime is far less direct. In urban areas, however, people have been conditioned to rely on the police to protect them – and, more importantly, the criminals have been conditioned to fear only the police and rival criminals, not their intended victims. Cassell’s hypothesis was that de-policing after the George Floyd protests was to blame for the increase in murder within the major cities.

Even earlier, however, we had the Ferguson Effect. According to this theory, urban officers reduced their proactive policing for fear of public scrutiny on law enforcement after a white police officer shot and killed Michael Brown – a black teen – in Ferguson, MO, resulting in multiple waves of rioting over the next year. According to this hypothesis, the decreased policing – and perhaps the increased public hostility toward law enforcement – caused violent crime to increase in big cities around the nation.

Though the left-wing media tried to debunk both theories, the evidence was hard to write off entirely. A 2016 Pew Research Center survey of 8,000 officers from departments with at least 100 officers showed that about three-quarters polled said they were hesitant to use force, even when appropriate, and were less willing to stop and question suspicious people – and a whopping 93% of the cops said they were more concerned about their own safety than before.

Then there are the murder statistics revealed in Kim’s research – they certainly seem to point to Cassell’s Minneapolis Effect. Even far-left media outlets eventually were forced to admit that decreased policing seemed to result in more crime. So, the evidence would suggest that defunding the police – at least in the big cities – did not, as the ACLU famously averred in 2020, “make us safer.” But then, a good many Americans could have predicted that.

St. Paul Schools Kicked Out Cops, Staff Are Too Terrified to Work

 “Divesting in police is investing in black lives,” St. Paul School Board Director Chauntyll Allen declared as the district voted not to renew its contract with the St. Paul Police Department.

It was 2020 and the heyday of the Black Lives Matter race riots over the drug overdose death of violent career criminal George Floyd. Police defunding fever was running high in the Twin Cities.

A Somali Muslim student with the last name Omar claimed that police officers had “brutalized multiple Muslim girls” and attacked their hijabs. After the vote, Omar claimed that removing police officers “means better safety and less trauma for black and brown kids”.

Another student named Muhammad promised that “removing police from schools is an important step toward true safety.”

Three years later true safety has been officially achieved.

A St. Paul Public Schools survey found that 55% of high school staff feel unsafe at work. 71% of staffers had seen physical violence in school and 40% were worried about weapons in schools.

The two most popular requests made by the terrified school staffers are to get serious about punishing violent students and to bring in police officers to restore safety and security.

The Black Lives Matter campaign to “save black lives” by keeping police officers out of school led to the stabbing death of Devin Scott: a 15-year-old black teenage boy by a 16-year-old black teenager in a high school hallway. Scott’s memorial service was commemorated by a drive-by shooting in which passengers in a white car opened fire and shot three teens at the service.

The youngest victim of that shooting was 14-years-old. Police stopped a 16-year-old with a gun but aren’t sure if he was one of the shooters or one of those being shot at. Earlier another 16-year-old had been shot in the head across the street from St. Paul’s Central High School.

“This incident, that Devin Scott was killed in, he would not have been killed if a police officer was present to intervene rather than school staff,” Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher said.

“I agree with him,” Anthony Scott, Devin’s uncle, said.

St. Paul schools had replaced school resource officers, who were police, with school support liaisons who were supposed to “build relationships with students”. The social workers proved to be useless when protecting staff or stopping a teenage boy from being stabbed to death.

“There is a level of support that is required from time to time that we’re just not equipped to do as a school staff,” Superintendent Joe Gothard warned. Without the police, the staff have to call the cops to stop an attack and wait for them to arrive. “Seconds and minutes really do add up.”

The cops have now been stationed outside schools, because the BLMers don’t want them inside, but parents and students are demanding that the cops come in from the cold.

Valeria Barrios-Sanchez, a student who saw Devin murdered, asked for the police to come back. “I am a senior, and this is supposed to be my most memorable year. It will be. Unfortunately, I have to remember it as the year I witnessed a homicide,” she told board members. “I implore the board to make a decision to help the future generations at Harding.”

“If we don’t address school safety, we will continue to victimize our most vulnerable population, which are young black men. They are the ones being shot and stabbed. For sure there is a school to prison pipeline. But there is also a school to hospital to morgue pipeline,” a former parent and track coach warned.

Ali Alowonle, an Asian “Liberatory Educator”, a teacher and DEI activist whose pronouns are “they/she”, however ranted that the district needed to divest from police and focus on “restorative practices, ethnic studies curriculum and instruction, reimagining family.”

If only an ethnic studies curriculum had been there when Devin was stabbed.

“Folks have been dying to get Police back in the buildings to monitor our black children,” Chauntyll Allen fumed. A school resource officer, according to her, “is still a killer cop.”

But it wasn’t a cop that killed Devin, but one of the beneficiaries of St. Paul’s embrace of Black Lives Matter and its pro-crime policies. A cop didn’t kill Devin, Chauntyll Allen’s policies did.

When the St. Paul board voted 5-1 to remove cops from schools, they also voted 5-1 to kill Devin and to let gang members and teenage drug dealers terrorize their employees.

What’s happening in St. Paul schools reflects the larger crisis over police defunding and rising crime that has wrecked the Twin Cities.

In 2021, St. Paul set a new record for murders and increased again in 2022. Pro-crime policies like police defunding and crime legalization, along with support for Black Lives Matter, has led to murders of mostly black people. High schools are at the bleeding edge of the crime wave.

Pro-crime policies have cost lives in and out of the schools. And yet the Left has not given up claiming that violent crime is a problem that can be solved with ethnic studies and a whole range of buzzwords. When police were pulled out of schools, activists claimed that would make black students safer. The students aren’t safe, neither are the workers, nor is anyone else.

Leftism is Satanic in Principle and Practice

Do you ever wonder why so many are falling for the corruption leftists impose on humanity?  Leftism has no stable moral foundation, and leftists are doing everything they can to destroy Judaic/Christian morality, the only stable moral foundation the world has ever known.  

The world is filled with weak minded and cowardly leaders in government as well as in commerce.  But think about this.  Could they have pulled this "woke" stuff off fifty years ago?  I don't think so.  Why do they get away with it now?   

Because the left infested and corrupted the world's educational institutions from kindergarten to post graduate work, destroying those foundational Judaic/Christian values that made western civilization great.

Leftist lies and propaganda are foundational to promote their real goal which is to do or say anything that will give them the power to control humanity to their benefit, and humanities’ detriment.  That’s history. 

We've foolishly allowed that leftist infestation to control every institutional structure in the nation, especially academia and public education, where they've indoctrinated young or weak minds into believing the lies they spew out, and now the left has replaced those stable values with the unstable core values of leftism; hate, envy, greed, lust, and violence......and stupid! 

Unfortunately, society is filled with weak minds, and even weaker leaders.  That's the rule, not the exception.  Here’s reality.  Leftism is Satanic in principle and practice.  Leftism is evil, that's history, and that history is incontestable, so if that's true, and it is, it’s time for everyone to grasp that and dismiss leftism!

Democrat North Carolina governor declares “state of emergency” over school choice legislation-  May 24, 2023 By Eric Utter -  Roy Cooper, the Democrat governor of North Carolina, actually declared a "state of emergency in education" after the Republican-controlled legislature voted to make it easier for families to obtain school vouchers.  Cooper also took exception to Republican plans that would grant a somewhat smaller pay raise to teachers than Democrats wanted.  Ergo, a “state of emergency.” But Cooper wasn’t done going off the rails. In his May 22 address, he accused Republicans of trying to “starve public education,” and of dropping "an atomic bomb on public education.  Incredibly, he added, “It’s clear that the Republican legislature is aiming to choke the life out of public education. I am declaring this state of emergency because you need to know what’s happening. Our teachers deserve better pay and more respect, but the legislature wants to give them neither one.”...........
