It's Long Overdue for Jews to Take the Right Trail

Tikkun Olam is a foundational Jewish philosophy that is all about “fixing the world”:

"......that calls on humanity to partner with the Divine to heal, fix, and improve a broken world. It has evolved from an ancient mystical and legal idea into a contemporary guiding principle for social justice, environmentalism, and community action."

But one has to wonder how can a people, especially a people who are arguably smartest people in the world, possibly believe that concept resides in the Democrat party, or any leftist movement for that matter? 

Leftists, especially the far-left crowd, are philosophically and actively antisemites.  They are now and have always been antisemites. That’s history, and that history is incontestable. Yet America’s Jews have consistently been the most reliable voters for the Democrat party. Why? Because Jews suffer from heuristic preconceptualism, and not just in America, 

So, lets define this.  

• Heuristic - "A mental shortcut or "rule of thumb" used to make quick decisions, solve problems, or form judgments when time or information is limited. While these methods trade precision for speed, they offer a "good enough" solution that saves vital mental energy in everyday situations......While heuristics enable highly efficient, automatic thinking, they can sometimes lead to systematic errors, cognitive biases, or faulty assumptions if over-relied upon."
• Preconceptualism - Drawing conclusions without doing any research, and then refuse to hear anything that contradicts those conclusions, ergo, since you never hear anything that refutes the conclusion, the conclusion must be right.

They clearly refuse to see, read or hear anything that refutes their views, irrespective of history, facts or reality.    Will this change?  I think to a degree, but when you look at what happened on October 7th 2023 in Israel and the direction the leftist Israelis have taken ever since, I have to doubt the numbers will change dramatically. 

It’s the Two Trails Story, and they keep taking the wrong trail.  As Daniel Greenfield notes:

The attacks were launched less than a month after the new Israeli government was sworn in. The Netanyahu government has pledged to reform the leftist judiciary which enables terrorism......

A generation of Israelis has grown up in a state of siege because the terrorists waging war on the country enjoy extensive foreign support from Iran, the EU, and the State Department in the United States, as well as domestic support from the Israeli Left, which uses its official and activist arms to undermine the fight against terrorism in every possible way...........

The Left was able to legitimize the PLO and give it control of sizable parts of Israel by crippling previous efforts by conservative governments to defeat the terrorists and expel them from Israel...........

What is going on in Israel is not just warfare, but a culture war between the democratic majority and an entrenched leftist elite that will use any means to protect its power and privilege............

The positions taken by these leftists are insane and clearly represent an existential threat to Israel, and yet they continue down that destructive trail.   Leftists are certifiable lunatics, irrespective of geography, religion, race, or ethnicity.

 

Doesn't Anyone Read History Books Any Longer?

This article,  Rubio unveils 'framework for lasting peace' between Israel and Lebanon, appeared on the World Net Daily news site with Marco Rubio having "unveiled a U.S. plan for an end to the military hostilities between Lebanon and Israel." calling this plan a "framework for lasting peace and security." 

Let me think.... when has the last time a ceasefire was honored by Hezbollah?  Oh yeah, I remember, never!

Rubio says this will "put in place a framework for lasting peace and security. And that's what these two nations deserve".  Really?  This agreement requires both Israel's IDF to leave Southern Lebanon turning that over to the Lebanese military, and Hezbollah has agreed to embrace a cease fire.  

Does anyone besides me think that falls under the category of , "you just can't make this stuff up"?

Rubio goes on the say:

"The people of Lebanon have suffered tremendously now for decades, as a result of outside interference in their affair, of countries trying to use the country as a launchpad for attacks. And this is not what the people of Lebanon want and that's not what they deserve."

 "What they deserve to have is what they once had, and of which there is recent history of. And that is a prosperous and peaceful country, a diverse country where people of different backgrounds are able to live and go co-exist side by side, and in many ways was the envy of the region and of the world."

Okay, since Rubio is aware that Lebanon was at one time a peaceful, prosperous nation (which was once called the "Riviera of the Middle East", and it's capital, Beirut, called the Paris of the Middle East), one should ask..... what changed?  Lebanon was a Christian nation, and they allowed massive migration of Muslims into their country.  Result?  A never ending disastrous "forever war" between Muslims and everyone else.   As for the Lebanese military taking control.... That'll be the day. 

"Lebanon is a fractured society", and is incapable of making substantial changes, as they have no ability to enforce anything.  The world knows there is in no way the Lebanese government and military can control Hezbollah.  

1. They were incapable of dismantling Hezbollah's missile manufacturing plants in years past. 
2. They can't control the economy with eighty percent of their nation living beneath the poverty line. 
3. The nation is broken up into four primary groups, Sunni Muslims, Shiite Muslims, Druze Muslims, all of which hate each other, and Christians who all of them hate, and, a scattering of others.  

In 2020 Hilal Khashan writing for Geopolitical Futures (subscription site only) noted just how all this came about saying:

The First Lebanese Republic (1943-1975) collapsed because of social injustice and armed Palestinian presence. The Second Republic (1989-2019) collapsed because of rampant corruption and Hezbollah’s political domination. The Third Republic is on hold pending the fate of Hezbollah and restructuring of the Lebanese political system. For the past century, the Lebanese demonstrated an inability to solve their problems. It does not look like they have become more capable today. 

Lebanese Druze leader Walid Jumblatt believes there is a major international struggle for the Middle East, and Lebanon lies beyond the ability of the Lebanese people to control. He advised his coreligionists to keep their heads low until the storm is over.

The Druze are an offshoot of Islam, and they're aware of the government's inability to protect them from the other sects of Islam, and they're scared of Hezbollah, and yet, we're to believe this "agreement" is the framework for lasting peace and security."  

The patterns of life repeat over and over again.  Here's what happened in 2018, Obama’s Shadow Looms Over US Lebanon Policy, and truthfully, I have no doubt Hezbollah continues to infest the power institutions of Lebanon, including their military, and they have no intention of honoring any agreement that will forestall their efforts to attack Israel.  To believe otherwise is historically, intellectually and realistically irrational.  Rubio can't possibly believe what he's saying!

Why Doesn't the World Care About Christians?

 Per a United Nations report on global humanitarian aid, in 2024 Gaza received approximately $1.8 BILLION out of a $4 BILLION total. However, according to the American Jewish Congress, only 30-40 percent reached civilians in Gaza, the rest went in Hamas’s pockets.

Christian singer prevented from holding planned concerts in Canada  - Christians are one of the most persecuted religious groups worldwide (perhaps the most persecuted), and hatred of Christians fluorishes in postmodern Canada. For good measure, they are even seeking to impound Barber’s truck, thereby depriving him of his livelihood should he avoid jail time. You can’t make this up................Since when does religious freedom require a permit from government?..............

Over 40 Christians Murdered in Catholic Church by Islamists in Congo, July 27, 2024:  Over 40 Christians were murdered today while they worshiped during Holy Mass at a Catholic Church in Komanda, Congo.  There have been varying reports of the death toll, but whether it’s under or over 40, it’s absolutely horrific:

Getting MAGA To Go Left on Israel

The media has taken to claiming that there’s a “civil war” within MAGA over Israel. In reality, 78% of Republicans supported Israel’s strikes on Iran and 71% support its war on Hamas. The “civil war” was manufactured by media hacks, hoping conservatives will adopt their support for Islamic terrorists, and social media influencers who are in the pay of Islamic interests.

And the most revealing thing about the fake “civil war” is that those trying to get MAGA to go left on Israel rely on leftists to tell them what to believe about Israel. Tucker Carlson’s leading anti-Israel guests include Jeffrey Sachs, a UN official involved in the 2030 Agenda who had received millions from Soros and who denounced Trump and called ‘America First’ “Idiocy”, and Glenn Greenwald, a socialist living in Brazil who attended Marxist-Leninist conferences, defended Hamas, and hailed AOC’s ‘Tax the Rich’ dress as “revolutionary and subversive.”

Most recently, Tucker brought on Ana Kasparian from the leftist Young Turks podcast, headed by Cenk Uygur, a Turkish leftist Muslim, who used to defend socialism before announcing she’s now “unaligned”, to lambast Israel. Nothing says America First like leftist Young Turks.

The latest Turning Point USA conference featured a debate over Israel between Josh Hammer, a longtime conservative figure and Dave Smith, a ‘libertarian’ sidekick of Joe Rogan, who had ranted that President Trump was a war criminal who should spend the rest of his life in jail. Rogan, a former Bernie Sanders supporter, recently came out in favor of a government income.

There’s no ‘civil war’ within MAGA over Israel. There’s only leftist infiltration of the movement.

The recent attacks on Israel by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and others similarly rely on believing leftist propaganda from the media. But if we’re supposed to believe the media when it peddles its latest famine hoax (after previously pushing famine hoaxes in Yemen and Afghanistan), why shouldn’t we believe it when it pushes those same lies about ICE?

The same media sources inventing fake starving kids in Gaza are the ones who were pushing the “kids in cages” on us at the border. And for the same reason. They want Americans and Israelis to surrender and stop fighting the invasion. And they’re using the most obvious button-pushing ‘won’t someone think of the children’ hoaxes and lies to force us to surrender.

If we’re going to take our morality from fake media human rights outrages, America First is going to survive for approximately 5 minutes before bowing to the bleeding hearts.

That is what happens when you accept the morals and rhetoric of the Left. And some on the Right appear to be willing to accept leftists as the arbiters of morality to a surprising degree.

Sohrab Ahmari, who retweeted Anat Saragusti, an Israeli leftist extremist, argued in an essay that “today, it is they — the Israeli left — who carry the Jewish conscience, who grasp all the dimensions of Jewish moral responsibilities.” This argument is the same one being made by the New York Times. It is the quintessential liberal argument for surrender in America and Israel.

What Ahmari was really admitting was that there is no conservative case against Israel, only a leftist one. To attack Israel is to uphold the moral supremacy of the Left and to exit the right.

In his essay, Ahmari pays tribute to the “birthright of Jewish universalism” and complains that Jews in Israel are trading “universalism” for ‘ethnic chauvinism’ by fighting to defeat Hamas. A true universalist wouldn’t fight for his nation or people, he would only fight for universal principles, and stop fighting the moment universalism and national survival are in conflict.

That is the position of the Israeli Left, the American Left and the position of national suicide.

This isn’t a conservative argument. Rather Ahmari is cribbing from Peter Beinart and the kind of Jews who tended to surround Obama. The implications of upholding a suicidal universalism over national self-preservation go beyond Israel’s battle against Islamic terrorism.

As Dave Smith recently argued, “you cannot be pro-life and pro-war.” If we adopt that leftist universalism being hailed by Ahmari and Smith, and accept that national interests don’t matter and the life of an Islamic terrorism is of as much value as an American terror victim (and it goes without saying an Israeli terror victim) then pacifism becomes the only moral position.

And we might as well surrender now and take our mandatory beheadings in good humor.

America and Israel are both fighting against ‘universalism’ for our rights as nations and peoples, against the moral relativism that equates the lives of our citizens with the lives of our enemies. If we cannot put our own people and our nation state first, then we have already agreed to die.

That is everything America First stands against. It’s everything Trump stands against.

Using the false flag of opposing ‘endless wars’, radicals are trying to sneak their anti-American position into the MAGA tent. They’re trying to trick MAGA into accepting a universalist position on Israel and then on America. Israel is the canary in the coal mine here. If we accept that Israel has no right to fight back against the Islamic Jihad, we will eventually accept that we can’t do it.

And not just Islamic terrorism, but anything at all. Including illegal aliens invading our border.

On Oct 7, Israel asked the question whether its nation has the right to exist. It didn’t ask it with aimless philosophy, but with military force. That’s the same question President Trump asked when he rode down that escalator. That’s still the same question being asked today.

The Left believes that every non-western nation, no matter how ruthless, genocidal or evil, has the right to exist, and that no western nation, no matter how liberal, has that same right. Many European nations are now ruled by those dedicated to their own national destruction. That is why the UK’s Starmer regime has taken to locking up anyone who mentions the Islamic invasion of the UK, why police forces monitor social media and why it silences journalists.

Only the worst kind of fools believe that the Left cares about the human rights hoaxes it puts about on ICE, Israel or mass migration in Europe. The same Left that whines over Poland’s border security or how much food is in Gaza also covered up the mass rape of British girls by Muslim sex grooming gangs, the cartel invasions of America and the mass murder of Israelis.

Anyone who turns to leftists as moral authorities is either evil, suicidal or a useful idiot.

The First Commandment of the Left aimed at the Judeo-Christian world civilization is “Thou shalt not exist. Thou shalt commit suicide. Thou shalt allow your enemies to overrun you and destroy you.” The Second Commandment of the Left is “Thou shalt tell any lie to weaken the moral resolve and the courage of the defenders of civilization and get them to surrender.”

Democrats allowed the Left into their party and committed political suicide. Now leftists and their enablers are trying to sneak the same corrupt ideology into the Republican Party, the conservative movement and MAGA under the guise of leftists who claim to be ‘anti-woke’ but are just as committed to the destruction of America. You cannot be MAGA if you support America’s enemies. And you cannot be MAGA if you don’t believe America should exist.

The anti-Israel movement is also an anti-American movement because it’s a leftist movement. And there can be no compromises and no common ground with the Left. As generations of college students becoming radicalized on campus showed us, when you accept the premises of the Left, you become the Left, and then you become the enemy of everything you believed.

Right now, the Left wants to get MAGA to go left on Israel. Tomorrow, it will be America’s turn.

Western Stupidity and the Two State Solution

 Over a large part of my life this idea of a two state solution involving Israel and so-called Palestinians has been touted over and over again.  Thirty years ago it was thought possible by a substantial number of Israeli's.   Then the riots, the relentless acts of terror, bombs being exploded in public places, missile attacks killing civilians indiscriminately.  This idea of "land for peace" has turned into an abject failure, and the Two-State Solution Died on October 7, as it was clear any independent Islamic state within Israel's borders was nothing more than a staging area for Israel's enemies to attack and destroy Israel. 

Western liberals, and even conservatives, embraced the two state concept, but the Muslims never wanted a separate state with Israel, they wanted Israel destroyed.  That should have been obvious to the most casual observer, yet these “leaders” still won’t abandon that idiotic idea. Why? Because they understand the only real solution is for Israel to kick out these Arabs who claim they’re Palestinians just as the surrounding Arab nations have done in the past, and they’re unwilling to embrace that truth.

The only answer is Hamas must be destroyed, Gaza must become completely occupied, then filled with Israeli settlements and become a permanent part of Israel, and kick out any so-called Palestinians, just like their Arab Muslim “brothers” have done all over the Middle East, and that includes the West Bank. Anything else is a capitulation to terrorists monsters.

Let's start with the incontestable fact that the true peacemaker among the world's leaders is Donald Trump, and United Nations really is a "hive of scum and villainy", and then proceed to the insanity being promoted by western "leaders" proclaiming they will recognize a Palestinian state. 

• The U.N. Betrays Its Own Charter with Premature Palestine Recognition  No Palestinian Membership Application Has Passed Muster in the U.N. Security Council, Rendering Statehood a Legal and Political Impossibility.....
• Emmanuel Macron, who has never been the brightest pebble in the brook, you can't negotiate with terrorists, and now the Netherlands is banning two Israeli officials over Gaza “rhetoric”. 
• Prime minister Starmer is threatening to also recognize Palestine if Netanyahu doesn’t take “substantive measures” in Gaza, whatever the heck that means, except as an open ended platform for “substantive” demands that will never end.
• Canada’s Recognition of a Palestinian State Betrays Western Values - Canada is preparing to recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations as early as September 2025. Prime Minister Mark Carney has framed the decision as both a moral obligation and a diplomatic necessity. In reality, it represents a sharp break from Canada’s democratic principles—and a betrayal of its closest ally, the United States......
• Australia to recognise Palestinian state in September -  Australia will recognise a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly in September, following similar moves by the UK, France and Canada, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has said. Albanese said Australia received commitments from the Palestinian Authority (PA) including to demilitarise, hold general elections and continue to recognise Israel's right to exist. "A two-state solution is humanity's best hope to break the cycle of violence in the Middle East and to bring an end to the conflict, suffering and starvation in Gaza,"............ 

The man actually said "A two-state solution is humanity's best hope to break the cycle of violence in the Middle East and to bring an end to the conflict, suffering and starvation in Gaza."  It really is true, you can't fix stupid.  

• The Eurabian Push for a Hamas State -  The hostility toward Israel in Europe is matched only by the enthusiasm for establishing a Palestinian state controlled by Hamas. Leading this effort is France: President Emmanuel Macron announced on July 25 that his country would recognize a Palestinian state later this year. Knesset member Dan Illouz rightly opposed such a state as “a gift to the terrorists of October 7.” Four days later, at a U.N. conference, France and Saudi Arabia led the New York Declaration, aiming for a “tangible, time-bound and irreversible” step toward the creation of Palestine. The 26-page document, a study in mendacious one-sidedness, is the latest sign of Europe’s anti-Israel sentiment, which has been prevalent since the founding of the Jewish state........
• The Mirage of Palestinian Statehood – On the face of it, winning international recognition would seem to be a victory for Palestinian diplomacy—a strategic success won despite battlefield defeat at the hands of Israel. Many have criticized the Canadian, French, and British on these same grounds, arguing that recognition is effectively rewarding Hamas, granting them what they wanted despite the fact that they started the most recent war with their bloody incursion into Israel in October 2023. .........Whatever violence may or may not be legitimate in establishing national independence, we can be sure that violence that establishes fictional states—states whose only existence is on the NGO conference circuit—is not only morally reprehensible but also politically futile. .....
• Ambassador Huckabee Blasts Weak European Leaders Backing Hamas  Hamas is a doomsday terrorist organization. It will never surrender so long as one member is still alive.   "There is one reason there is suffering in Gaza, it's the same reason that 1200 people were massacred on October the 7th. It's the same reason that 250 people were taken hostage, 50 of them continue to be held hostage and tortured and that's because of Hamas. They are a terror organization and they've acted like it," Huckabee said during an interview with Fox News over the weekend, blasting weak European politicians. "All of this time, Israel has done everything it can. They've made I don't know ow many offers in order to get the hostages out, to end this." "Hamas always walks away, always says no,"

Perhaps they need to start reading the history between Europe and Islam.  Europe’s Forgotten Enslavement: The Brutal Islamic Slave Raids That Captured Millions. That’s who they were, that’s who they are, and that’s who they will always be. After almost 1500 years of incontestable history why is that so hard to get?

• World Rewards Hamas for Its Atrocities 

All of these nations are heavily infected with Islamists, and soon Israel will be the least of their concerns. Also, Trump said Macron’s views are meaningless, and that goes for the rest of them also. Trump has tamed their egos and made it clear, Europe no longer counts, it's a second rate continent working dilligently to become a third rate continent with a dead culture.  If they keep allowing unrestricted Islamic immigration, Europe will no longer exist as we know Europe, and there will be three Islamic nations with nuclear weapons. Iran, France, and the UK.

 

They are in point of fact rewarding terrorism, and by their demands they're creating standards that will prevent winning wars against monsters, totally losing sight of this one incontrovertible fact that what happens in Gaza won't stay in Gaza.

  

To quote a man who calls himself Granpa: 

All the shouting about a two-state solution is, as from Macbeth: “"It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.” 

 One final thought about the UN.  They're stunned, stunned I tell you, to find the Taliban oppress women.  Imagine that, and these are leaders?  How can anyone be so ignorant and  so stupid?  How can anyone take anything anyone that ignorant and stupid seriously?  Then again, maybe their lying.  Not much of a recommendation.

The Gaza Starvation and Genocide Farce

I keep reading where mental midgets on the left and their media catspaws keep screaming how Israel is perpetrating genocide against Gazans.  The word genocide has been cheapened by these claims. There is no genocide in Gaza, unless you consider the fact that Hamas has willingly sacrificed their own people for political gain, including stealing their food.   

Has there been civilian loss of life among Gazans in this war? Yes, that's why they call it war, and it was a war the Gaza leadership started, and it was Gazans who celebrated dancing in the streets at the atrocities Hamas perpetrated against Israeli civilians in including baking a baby alive in an oven, filming it for public consumption, and Gazans cheered.  

What did the world think was going to happen after the atrocities of October 7th?   There are no innocent Gazans as there were no innocent Germans during WWII with the fire bombing of Dresden, or innocent Japanese during the bombing raids of Japan and the dropping of two atom bombs.  That's the horror of war, and if people don't want to face that horror, they shouldn't start a war.  

If Israel was actually wanting to perpetrate Gazan genocide they could have done it on day one of their retaliation.  If they wanted to perpetrated genocide why is Israel providing massive levels of aid to Gazans, something no military has ever done for an enemy population, and Gazans are Israel's enemy, and yet we've seen a massive public relations effort to claim Israel is attemptiong to starve Gazans to death. 

Democrat Senator from Delaware Chris Van Hollen, whose record for idiotic leftist views is almost legendary, claims Netanyahu is using food as a weapon of war, as if that's never been done before, but is it true?

The fact is this claim of wide spread starvation among Gazans was invented by Hamas and the United Nations.   If aid isn't getting to the civilian population is being caused by "a combination of United Nations policies, Hamas looting, and black-market profiteering."

This article by Daniel Greenfield, UN Admits 95% of its Gaza Aid Trucks Were “Intercepted”, clearly depicts just how corrupt the UN has been over this issue saying:

Back when the UN had been in charge it had faked its own famine by refusing to deliver food and letting it pile up instead. Since then the UN’s food aid has kept on piling up even while GHF, an American Christian aid group, has managed to deliver millions of meals to Gaza residents, despite being smeared by the media as “controversial” for feeding those whom the UN wouldn’t........... 

The UNOPS ‘Mechanism for Gaza’ revealed that of the around 2,600 aid trucks entering Gaza, only 300 made it to their destination. 2,310 trucks or 88% of them were ‘intercepted’............ The UN’s WFP recently claimed that it has run out of food stocks and needs $265 million for just the next 6 months to feed Gaza. Where did its food stocks go? Certainly not to aid stations............ 

The best evidence of it is that Hamas made the restoration of UN control over aid into Gaza one of its conditions for a deal. Why would an Islamic terrorist group care who distributes the aid?.........After an aid delivery success ratio in the single digits, the UN is terrible at delivering aid in Gaza, but it’s a stunning success when it comes to its political and economic support of Hamas.

As for this starvation .... the children are dying.... scheme we're seeing in Gaza, it's not unique to Gaza.  In fact it seems to be one of the go to plans used by these terrorist monsters, much of which are predicated on deliberate and outright lies.

 Hamas could not defeat Israel militarily, so their go to plan is to claim they're the real victims, not the hostages and innocent men they murdered, the innocent women they raped and murdered, and the innocent children they murdered, all actions lauded by Gazans.  And they get away with it because they understand western leaders live in a moral vacuum.  

• Hamas Understands the Myopia and Moral Imbecility of the West: Hamas understands that if it forces the suffering of its own people, if it maximizes and even falsifies media coverage of that suffering, then the West will rehabilitate Hamas and grant it its demands.  Hamas understands that Westerners are utterly ignorant to the true evil of Hamas, their willingness to multiply the suffering of Palestinians and Israelis alike, to starve their own citizens as well as Israeli hostages, to sacrifice Palestinian children by placing them in the line of fire, all for the cameras; Hamas understands that myopic and self-centered Westerners will simply project their own biases and values onto Hamas, thus granting them unearned innocence and sympathy; Hamas understands that the media would facilitate all of this, elevating a false oppressor/oppressed narrative above the truth.

My Anyone But Bibi Commentaries

 Over the years I've spent a lot of time researching what goes on in Israel regarding their politics, and truth be told, it's a mess, and I often wonder how they managed to keep their national sovereignty.  When it comes to demonstrating the flaws of parliamentary government.... Israel is the poster child for that. 

This is a country with 40 different political parties, and even though only ten of those parties passed the electoral threshold, that represents a real hurdle to get enough votes to form a government. But it gets worse.  There are 149 minor political parties in Israel.

Recently there's been all this talk about members of his coalition government abandoning the coalition which will force new elections at some point and the "Anyone but Bibi Crowd", many of them so far left they're falling off the cliff, and all of them drooling to get into power and effectively sell the nation down the river to get back the hostages.  Totally unconcerned with the fact that would merely encourage more hostage taking.  They embrace policies that are so idiotic if they get into power Hamas will be back in power, rearmed, and preparing for the next attack to destroy Israel. 

Hamas is a death cult that will never stop it's monstrous attacks against Israel, so Netanyahu has made it clear he intends to totally destroy Hamas and take over Gaza, and it's hitting the fan, so, I think it's worth while to re-post all four of my anyone but Bibi commentaries in order from June 2021 to November 2022, to get the full flavor of the insanity Netanyahu has to deal with.

On Friday, June 4, 2021 I posted this article, The World as I See It, listing a number of events I felt were profound, provocative and worth following, mostly from Geopolitical Futures, to which I subscribe and recommend everyone doing so, saying:

Unseating Bibi. Israeli opposition parties reached a deal on Wednesday to form a government and unseat current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The coalition consists of Naftali Bennett’s Yamina party and Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid party as well as an Islamist party called the United Arab List led by Mansour Abbas. Under the agreement, Bennett would serve as prime minister for two years and then be replaced by Lapid. Israeli ambassadors to the United Arab Emirates and Greece have already said bilateral relations will not be significantly affected by the change in government.

My take on this was: 

This is a mess in the making as these three groups are at odds with each other’s goals, visions and views of what Israel is and what it should be.   Bennet is allegedly far right.  It seems to me that Lapid is a former journalist who is more leftist than centrist.  And Abbas is a liar, and the ruling arrangement is a formula for incoherence.  

What could possibly go wrong?

I made that statement because I took the time to look up these characters to see what they were all about. 

Naftalie Bennett was a former Chief of Staff of Benjamin Netanyahu, and considered to be military hero, and a successful businessman with a conservative bent and an orthodox Jew.  But that’s more telling than not as he’s what he really practices is Modern Orthodox Judaism, which is a hybrid Orthodox Judaism blending the secular with the religious.  Is that telling?

His political positions seem to be an odd blending also.  He insists, "I will do everything in my power to make sure they [Palestinians] never get a state", and yet he wants to create:

“a tripartition of the Palestinian territories, whereby Israel would unilaterally annex Area C, authority over the Gaza Strip would be transferred to Egypt, and Area A and Area B would remain with the Palestinian National Authority, but under the security umbrella of the Israel Defense Forces and Shin Bet to "ensure quiet, suppress Palestinian terrorism, and prevent Hamas from taking over the territory".

I can’t see how the long term consequences for this are foundationally stable since his plan relies on the agreement and cooperation of Egypt and the Palestinian National Authority.  Dubious at best!  All of which leads me to conclude the long term consequences would be to create the foundation for an individual Palestinian state.   

He also claims:

"Israel must learn to live with the Palestinian problem without a "surgical action" of separation to two states: "I have a friend who's got shrapnel in his rear end, and he's been told that it can be removed surgically, but it would leave him disabled... So he decided to live with it. There are situations where insisting on perfection can lead to more trouble than it's worth." Bennett's "Shrapnel in the butt" quickly became widely known as representing his view of the Palestinian problem."

There’s even more and it’s all complex and confusing, leaving you with this question:  So where does he really stand? 

“I won’t allow Yair Lapid to be prime minister, including in a rotation (agreement.)” and “I will not establish a government based on the support of Mansour Abbas from the Islamic Movement.”  

But he's just signed an agreement that allows all that.  So where does he stand solidly?  He stands for anyone but Netanyahu, as long as he's the anyone, even if it's just for a little while.  

What could possible go wrong? 

Yair Lapid is a former journalist and who became a politician [neither of which is a recommendation] and the opposition leader in the Knesset heading up the Yesh Atid and serving as minister of Finance from 2013 to 2014.  

First, he really resents the Orthodox Jews in Israel because of the privileges and exceptions given to them by the government, and I think that's more universal in Israel than is openly recognized.  But, they're a powerful force in Israel, and taking them on isn't going to make his leadership an easy one, or successful for that matter.

His solution to the Palestinian problem would be to have a  resumption of negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, with the goal of creating "two states for two peoples".  Then of course he cites the usual caveats about Israeli security and rights in the settlements, and has refused to be a part of any government that stalls any "peace" talks with Palestinians.  I'm sure HAMAS thought that was an excellent position for an Israeli government official.  He goes on to explain how things would be laid out, which are complicated and unworkable.   He's considered the "leader" of disillusioned "centrists" but who are they actually?  Make no mistake about it, there are no centrists in Israel.   These are leftists who support all the left wing clabber spouted by the media, left wing politicians, and a corrupt judicial system that's been used politically against Netanyahu.

As for his party's positions, this is what's been said:   

"We have noticed that the Yesh Atid party spends a lot of time on Facebook, instead of engaging in parliamentary activities. Their posts do not say anything. They are full of beautiful text and very little substance."

In short, he wants to continue the same failed policies as the predecessors of Netanyahu. 

What could possibly go wrong?    

Mansour Abbas supports his United Arab List party's position of a two state solution.

•  What Do Advocates of a Two-State Solution Actually Advocate?

He's been exposed to the Islamist movement that advocates for Islam in Israel, particularly among Arabs and Circassians, how much influence that's had isn't definitive. He's opposed to the Abraham Accords because there's no peace treaty with Palestinians in that agreement, which seems to me to be telling.  He states:  

 "If there will be a real agreement with the Palestinians, there will be real agreements with 55 Muslim countries. But what truly matters is that we are Israelis, and our actions are not supposed to be influenced by whether there is peace with Bahrain."

All of which is blatant nonsense, he no more believes he's an Israeli that do I, and he no more believes there will ever be an agreement with the Palestinians because they're rejected agreement after agreement, and if there ever was one, it would not be honored  by the Palestinians, and he has to know that.  It's a historically certified and time honored typical Muslim ploy known as the doctrine of taqiya.  The Muslim doctrine of deception.

Here's the real thrust of this newly formed three party "government".  A commitment to backing a non-Netanyahu government.  And then there's the ten other political factions in Israel, thirteen in all.  Factions as far as I can tell there are a bunch of political parties in and out of the Knesset!  But it gets worse.  There are 149 minor political parties in Israel.  

If these two sites are accurate there could be over 200 political parties in Israel.  I recommend following the two links as I can't really make heads or tails of this mess, and I wonder if the Israelis can.   If my assumptions are correct, in a country with only nine million people that means there's a political party for every 45,000 people. 

What could possibly go wrong? 

So, this brings me to this article by David Singer in the Canada Free Press, Israel's dysfunctional Government cannot survive, saying:

An amalgam of eight leaders trading insults and denigrating each other—whilst their parties have adopted policies that are totally irreconcilable on critical issues—is not the foundation for any stable Government—especially in Israel—whose enemies will become increasingly emboldened following the announcement of a cobbled-together Israeli Government comprising very different bedfellows.

Let's just take one issue.  

There are those in this group who support hauling Israel before an  International Criminal Court that has specifically targeted Israel!  A court that has no jurisdiction because Israel isn't a signatory, yet they've make up their own rules as they go along, much like the Judicial system in Israel, completely ignoring any legislative restrictions.

And that's just one issue.  There's a lot more as Netanyahu makes some cogent observations saying:

 "that the new government would not be able to withstand pressure from U.S. President Joe Biden to accept the Iran nuclear deal, and that it would be weak against Palestinian terror, given its reliance on an Islamist party."

According to Joel B. Pollak in his article, Benjamin Netanyahu Calls New Israeli Government ‘Biggest Election Scam, Maybe, in History’:

The crisis is exacerbated by the fact that incoming Prime Minister Naftali Bennett of the Yamina party betrayed most of his promises to his voters, including a pledge not to govern with Yair Lapid of the Yesh Atid party, or with Arab parties.

Israel’s new government is facing a crisis of legitimacy as a prime minister whose party won only 6% of the vote is set to take the reins of government, while the party that won the most votes is being pushed out of office and into opposition.

Hence my original take on this:

This is a mess in the making as these three groups are at odds with each other’s goals, visions and views of what Israel is and what it should be...... and the ruling arrangement is a formula for incoherence.  

What could possibly go wrong?

Just as American politicians on both sides of the aisle proclaimed, "Anyone but Trump", and got Biden, along with an entire band of insane cretins destroying America.  Now the Israeli's are getting an "anyone by Netanyahu" government and the results will be even worse.

 On Monday, June 7, 2021 I posted my commentary, Anyone But Netanyahu! What Could Possibly Go Wrong? quoting a Geopolitical Futures piece saying:

It was easy to conclude this was a mess in the making as these three groups are at odds with each other’s goals, visions and views of what Israel is and what it should be. Bennet is allegedly far right, but that's been shown to be rhetoric.  It seems to me that Lapid is a former journalist who is more leftist than centrist. And Abbas is a liar, and the ruling arrangement is a formula for incoherence, so what could possibly go wrong? 

 

I made that statement because I took the time to look up these characters to see what they were all about, and that did not create a vision of confidence, and now we're going to see what could go wrong, and it's not going to be pretty. 

 

On July 7, 2021 by Paul Mirengoff posted this piece,  Israel’s ruling coalition splits at first time of asking saying:

The coalition government that rules Israel is an absurdity. Cobbled together for the sole purpose of ousting Benjamin Netanyahu, it’s led by Naftali Bennett, a hard line anti-Arab, but includes members of an Islamist party.  That’s not the only absurdity, but it’s absurd enough.

The first real test of the coalition’s adhesion occurred yesterday. At issue was a law that, as I understand it, prevents Arab-Israeli citizens from conferring their citizenship rights — e.g., obtaining a driver’s license or a legal job — on non-citizen spouses who once lived in the West Bank or Gaza............The law was passed in 2013 in response to the wave of bombings and murders that were occurring during the second intifada. It has been renewed annually ever since.

It was a tie vote, because this ruling coalition is not in harmony philosophically, politically or morally.  And there's a second reason it didn't pass.   Netanyahu's party didn't vote for it!  

Shocker?

That exposed this coalition's inability to rule for Israel's best interests.  That exposure made all those who in government "deep state" positions and  media who railed against Netanyahu look foolish.  Netanyahu makes it clear, "toppling the government" is more important to Israel's long term interests. 

Some may be aghast at this kind of irresponsible politics, but they've played hard ball with Netanyahu for years, with little concern as to what was good for the nation, as I attempt to show later.  Netanyahu sees the long term negative consequences to Israel for having such a "bizarre ruling coalition" in power.   This is a coalition that faces a "crisis of legitimacy with a Prime Minister whose party won only 6% of the vote".....and the party that won the most votes [was ] pushed out of office and into opposition."  

There is only one moral foundation they share:  "Anyone but Netanyahu!" So that makes Bibi the opposition, and opposition it shall be.  It's hardball, and in hardball those curve balls are the pits. 

You may wish to review this biography, Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's unseated long-term leader.  There's a section here showing Netanyahu being charged with corruption, but I followed this story and as far as I can tell the prosecutors were much like the prosecutors in New York City and New York state, with the same kind of politically corrupt prosecutors and politically corrupt courts.  All totally partisan, all left wing, and all more than willing to use the power of government to advance their agenda.

The courts in Israel and the prosecutors are out of control making up the rules as they go along, so at this point I've concluded these "corruption" charges are the same political scam used by Democrat prosecutors in the U.S. against politicians, or groups they don't like all over the nation.  

Prosecutors out of control, and that makes it a case of political abuse of the system by leftists in powerful positions. This was true in Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker case, the Senator Ted Stevens case, the Tom Delay case (both Delay's and Stevens careers were destroyed by these illegal actions), and it seems the same tactic is true here. This is an expanding pattern of the criminalization of politics, as was those States Attorneys General who launched a fraud investigation against the Competitive Enterprise Institute over it's position regarding Anthropogenic Climate Change, along with Exxon Mobile.

(Editor's Note: The Scott Walker John Doe Investigations were among the most egregious starting in 2006 and not ending until 2017.  This kind of legal corruption goes on in the private sector also.  They're called SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation) lawsuits, to force people to be silent.    

"Nine years ago, Michael Mann sued National Review, Mark Steyn and the Competitive Enterprise Institute".  He also sued Tim Ball in Canada, where Mann lost., and the courts dismissed the case against National Review, but the case against CEI and Styne continues, with Mann constantly seeking ways to prevent it from going to court because "the process is the punishment". "The only way this litigation can end with any semblance of justice is if the court assesses many millions of dollars in costs against....Mann".   RK)

These prosecutors knew no crimes were committed, but their goal was to smear them long enough to get them out of office or to destroy those who would not support their agenda by causing a severe financial burden fighting these cases.  More than happy to flout the laws they've sworn to defend.  That's the left, and there are no boundaries on the left in the United States or Israel, in government or in the private sector. 

Daniel Greenfield noted in his piece, Netanyahu and the Left's Israeli Deep State:

............[Israel's] deep state is working overtime to force Netanyahu out of office using fake scandals, fake news and fake police.......... .Its police force is Middle Eastern. At its best, it’s useless and at its worst, it’s deeply corrupt and abusive. The same holds true for the entire justice system which remains a fossilized remnant of its socialist past that deserves to be classed with those of Russia or Uzbekistan..............Israeli police and media have spent the better part of a decade trying to invent ridiculous Netanyahu scandals...........

"Attorney general mulls probe into Sara Netanyahu's bottle deposits" isn't a gag, it's an actual headline. The catering budget at the prime minister’s residence has been under investigation for years.........Another Netanyahu investigation involved the nursing care provided to his father-in-law before his death, because the Israeli left has no more concept of decency than it does of national security............ None of these scandals ever actually go away. Much like the left’s perjury traps and obstruction of justice campaigns against Trump, discredited scandals are rolled into accusations of a cover-up.

There's more to Greenfield's article, but one thing is clear, "The deep state is [as] rotten and disloyal" in Israel as it is in America.

So, you think America politics is complicated do you? Well, compared to Israel, American politics is a cake walk. And I find that's true of all these Parliamentarian style governments. They are, at least from an American point of view, complicated, compromised and unfocused.  They create governments out of coalitions with opposition parties, who get ministerial positions in the new government, and they have this crazy penchant for "Shadow Cabinets". Everybody has a say, and everybody says a lot, not usually in harmony.  Watch the British Parliament in action.  Insane!

Currently it appears, according to Geopolitical Futures:

"Israel's parliament is evenly split after a resignation stripped Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's government of its majority. The move raised concerns that the opposition is close to being able to dissolve the government."

And we're shocked why? 

Idit Silman bolted to Netanyahu's group, and in spite of Bennett's claim she was being harassed by Netanyahu's party, this apparently is a popular move among a great many Israelis.  She says:

"she "could not take it anymore," and that she could not continue undermining the Jewish identity of the State of Israel, a reference to a disagreement she had with Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz over allowing chametz (leavened grain products) into hospitals over Passover.....[and she claimed] she was treated with disrespect".

This government was created as an "anyone but Bibi" government, but there was no one party that could get enough votes to form a government, so totally divergent groups came together to form a totally irrational government, that, irrespective of these various groups positions, as a government they functionally believe in nothing.   It was created to be one thing and one thing only:  An anti-Netanyahu government.  That's the only moral foundation they share.

On Thursday, July 8, 2021 I posted this piece, Anyone But Netanyahu! What Could Possibly Go Wrong? Part II  commenting about this new government's inability to pass as law as fundamental as a law that "prevents Arab-Israeli citizens from conferring their citizenship rights — e.g., obtaining a driver’s license or a legal job — on non-citizen spouses who once lived in the West Bank or Gaza............The law was passed in 2013 in response to the wave of bombings and murders that were occurring during the second intifada. It has been renewed annually ever since."

It was a tie vote.  Why didn't it pass? Because this ruling coalition is not in harmony philosophically, politically or morally. First, this is a government with a rotating President....three of them.  One claims he will do everything he can to make sure there is never a Palestinian state and the other two rotating partners in this government support a two states solution, and one is a former journalist and a Jew who hates the Orthodox Jews.  The other is an Arab.  Guess what he really believes.

You would think this would trigger new elections, however, according to RANE Worldview, of which Startfor is a part, this is what has to happen to trigger a new election. 

• First, if another member of this government bolts, they can dissolve the Knesset and demand a new election.
• Second, under Israeli law they must pass a 2023 budget by December 31, 2022 or a new election must be held.
  

I've been waiting for this breakdown, and quite frankly, I'm surprised it's lasted this long, and now Israel will once again (they had four national elections in two years) have to go back to the voting booth early.  But now there are two factors. 

1. First, it must now be clear to Israelis no competent government can be formed by these incoherent coalitions.
2. Secondly, does anyone really believe another "anyone but Netanyahu" coalition can now form again?  Creating that coalition was like open heart surgery without anesthetic.  It seems unlikely it will happen again.
   

So, to answer  to the question about this anti-Netanyahu government: What could go possibly go wrong?  Answer: Everything!

Israeli ambassadors to the United Arab Emirates and Greece have already said bilateral relations will not be significantly affected by the change in government.

My take on this was these three groups are at odds with each other’s goals, visions and views of what Israel is and what it should be.   Bennet was allegedly far right, which turned out to be fallacious.  It seemed to me that Lapid is a former journalist who is more leftist than centrist.  And Abbas is a liar, and the ruling arrangement is a formula for incoherence.   What could possibly go wrong?

I made that statement because I took the time to look up these characters to see what they were all about, and it was abundantly clear to me:  Israel was in trouble.  I was right.  Imagine that.

In Part II  I quoted from a July 7, 2021 article by Paul Mirengoff,  Israel’s ruling coalition splits at first time of asking saying:

The first real test of the coalition’s adhesion occurred yesterday. At issue was a law that, as I understand it, prevents Arab-Israeli citizens from conferring their citizenship rights — e.g., obtaining a driver’s license or a legal job — on non-citizen spouses who once lived in the West Bank or Gaza............The law was passed in 2013 in response to the wave of bombings and murders that were occurring during the second intifada. It has been renewed annually ever since.

My take on this? It was a tie vote because this ruling coalition is not in harmony philosophically, politically or morally.  And there's a second reason it didn't pass.   Netanyahu's party didn't vote for it!    Shocker?  Well, that refusal to vote on this exposed this coalition's inability to rule, and to rule for Israel's best interests.  That exposure made all those who in government "deep state" positions and  media who railed against Netanyahu look foolish.  Netanyahu makes it clear, "toppling the government" is more important to Israel's long term interests. And he was right.

In Part III I reported: So, you think America politics is complicated do you? Well, compared to Israel, American politics is a cake walk. And I find that's true of all these Parliamentarian style governments. They are, at least from an American point of view, complicated, compromised and unfocused.  They create governments out of coalitions with opposition parties, who get ministerial positions in the new government, and they have this crazy penchant for "Shadow Cabinets". Everybody has a say, and everybody says a lot, not usually in harmony.  Watch the British Parliament in action.  Insane!

Currently it appears, according to Geopolitical Futures:

"Israel's parliament is evenly split after a resignation stripped Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's government of its majority. The move raised concerns that the opposition is close to being able to dissolve the government."

And we're shocked why?  Idit Silman bolted to Netanyahu's group, and in spite of Bennett's claim she was being harassed by Netanyahu's party, this apparently is a popular move among a great many Israelis.  She says:

"she "could not take it anymore," and that she could not continue undermining the Jewish identity of the State of Israel, a reference to a disagreement she had with Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz over allowing chametz (leavened grain products) into hospitals over Passover.....[and she claimed] she was treated with disrespect".

This government was created as an "anyone but Bibi" government, since there was no one party that could get enough votes to form a government, totally divergent groups came together to form a totally irrational government, that, irrespective of these various groups positions, as a government they functionally believed in nothing.  No shared vision, no shared policies, no shared goals.  It was created to be one thing and one thing only:  An anti-Netanyahu government.  That was the only moral, intellectual and philosophical foundation they shared.

Well, it was clear to me the "Anyone But Bibi" theme was eventually going to die on the ash heap of  history because Israel is constantly faced with existential crises.  So, while in the short term rhetorical hyperbole may overcome facts, in the long run facts will eventually become unpleasant realities that must be dealt with, and who in Israel is the best qualified to deal with those unpleasantries?  Bibi!  

It was clear to me from the very beginning he was coming back, and soon.  Remember my first piece appeared in July of 2021, it now November of 2022, and guess what?  Bibi is back, and big time.  It's not easy to win big in Israel.  This is a country with 40 different political parties, and even though  only ten of those parties passed the electoral threshold, that represents a real hurdle to get enough votes to form a government.

With the final ballots now counted in Israel's fifth national election in four years, the results are officially in Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu, already the longest-serving prime minister in the 74-year history of the modern Jewish state set to return as premier. After four elections of decisively mixed results, where both the Right -- which has been added by its disgruntled "Never Netanyahu" camp -- and the Left have consistently failed to secure a durable governing coalition, the Israeli people have finally spoken up loud and clear: Bring Bibi back.

Not only has Israel voted to bring Bibi back, they voted overwhelmingly to do so.  The series of indecisive elections of the past has apparently caused them to .....for lack of a better term.... Get Woke, but in this case they've awakened to the ludicrous positions and functionally incompetent performances of these leftist coalitions.  Both of which were totally detrimental to the very existence of Israel, an existence that is constantly undermined by their leftist media, judiciary and law enforcement institutions, all of which have been shown to be intellectual and philosophically corrupt.

The author goes on to ask:

The relevant question, then, is: Why did Israel finally vote so decisively this time around, and why did it elect such a right-wing coalition?

His answer, to be concise, security!   Conservatives have always been better at performance than at rhetoric, at least until recently.   Leftists have always been remarkable at rhetoric, until recently.  But rhetoric is a straw hut that will not keep the wolf away from the door.  That takes performance, and reality made it clear the only politician in Israel capable of keeping Israel secure was Bibi.   

 

Happiness and well being!  Both hard to define, neither or which are items found in polls.  Yet those are the items that change governments.  Now, would anyone wish to discuss, "Anyone But Trump"?
