What I'm Reading: Global Warming

Life is about patterns and circles. Patterns of behavior, and the social circles prompting that behavior.

By Rich Kozlovich Tags: The World's Nine Orders

Okay folks, let's try and get this right once and for all..... just once...... please.  The foundation for all these climate change claims are outright lies:

For nearly 40 years, the global warming cabal has spread fear and wasted resources on an emergency that doesn’t exist. While their influence has begun to wane, as their credibility has crashed and their lies have been exposed, the fabrications, exaggerations, and junk science continue. How much longer must we endure their campaign of rancid propaganda?

The dawning moment of the global warming movement was NASA scientist James Hansen’s June 1988 testimony before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.  “In my opinion,” he told lawmakers, “the greenhouse effect has been detected, and it is changing our climate now.”  There was evidence, he insisted, “that the Earth is warming by an amount which is too large to be a chance fluctuation and the similarity of the warming to that expected from the greenhouse effect represents a very strong case.”  And yet 38 years later, there’s been no climate catastrophe.

Reality hasn’t slowed the flood of lies, though.

A thousand years ago during what's called the Medieval Warming Period it was not only warmer than it is now, it was substantially warmer than is is now, or for that matter, warmer than what they're predicting for the next fifty years, one hundred years, or whatever time frame is the meme of the moment.  There's not one iota of historical evidence the horrors they're predicting for today occurred then.  If none of that happened then, why should we expect it to happen now?  We shouldn't.

Even a left wing former warmist supporting journalist is capable of seeing the exaggerations of ecological disaster. Which he calls "shrill eco-catastrophism".

 Deep State Corruption

So much of what's gone on has been based on the Endangerment Finding.

The Endangerment Finding (EF) is the absurd regulatory action by which the Obama-era EPA purported to find that the trace gas carbon dioxide (CO2) constitutes a “danger” to human health and welfare as it accumulates in the atmosphere from the current level of about 0.04%, to perhaps 0.05% or maybe even (the horror!) 0.06% by some time later this century.  (Here's my

of the DC Circuit court supported them.

  •  More fuel to flame the myth of extreme weather By Bill Ponton| Climate litigators work to derail the pro-energy policies of the Trump administration. Will they be successful
  • “Left-Wing Plaintiff Propaganda”: NAS Pulls Key Climate Science Chapter From Website Amid Massive Backlash - The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) removed a hotly debated chapter on climate science from its website.  NAS pulled the climate science section, which appeared in the fourth edition of the “Reference Manual on Scientific Evidence,” while it reviews the process used to develop the guidance, following scrutiny over the chapter’s contents and the involvement of a lawyer connected to climate litigation against energy companies.   The chapter, which critics liken to “left-wing plaintiff propaganda,” claims climate attribution — “climate change” linked to human activity and specific companies — is established science......
  •  Trump loosens climate limits on refrigerants  -  Trump said that his administration is “officially terminating the Biden administration’s ridiculous regulations imposing costly requirements on refrigerators and air conditioners.” “Today’s reforms will deliver significant financial relief, saving American families and businesses more than $2.4 billion,” ..........

The Media

In the past there was no balance in the media regarding climate change.  It was happening, it was catastrophic, and it was being caused by mankind, and the only solution was to eliminate 4 to 5 billion people and for the rest to go back to living in caves, and no other position could be tolerated.  Those who resisted were flat Earthers and had to be punished.

Bu time and truth are on the same side, Smokey skies does not mean global warming"because good science depends on evidence, good journalism should too."  Canadian forest fires created a lot of smoke and the media claimed it was caused by global warming.  But now when their doomsday scenarios are dying, its not news.

I think you will find this article more than interesting, The Climate Scam Is Acknowledged. Why is it interesting?  Because as this fraud and the media's collusion with the fraudsters is being exposed ... they somehow claim they knew and questioned it all along.  Really? Boy I must really have a bad memory.  You see, as I remember events that have take place over the last 25  years or so, where I and others took a stand challenging this whole corrupt fraud, until recently, I never once saw a major media/newspaper outlet take my side on this.

  •  Climate Alarm On The Run, Part II -........Unfortunately, taxpayer-funded radio won’t entirely stop yapping about a non-event, as, according to NPR chief climate editor Neela Banerjee, climate coverage will be “folded into the national desk.” But there will no longer be a separate section from which to harangue, screech and wail about the evils of the dominant driver of the world economy, the burning of fossil fuels for energy, while at the same time reaffirming NPR’s leftist listeners’ narrow and uninformed — yet ever sure of their “knowledge” — worldview.
  •  It was never about the climate - The protesters used climate change as a hook, but their ultimate goal was always more nefarious..........Why haven’t you ever seen a climate change protest before the Chinese embassy anywhere? Why is it always the US or capitalism messing up the environment? Why don’t they show up at all when China is a bigger threat to clean air than any US city?  The answer is obvious, but I’ll say it. It was never about the climate but rather capitalism or the US.

One thing I'm sure of.  We will never be rid of the “climate change” proponents. It allows them to blame their fellow humans for causing the latest “disaster”.   They can never give up the con as it gives them a self righteous feel good superiority for being so much wiser, smarter and far more noble than the rest of us for pointing it out.

Consequences

Europe's insane embrace of global warming has caused serious problems for their societies, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine was one of the consequences since their purchase of Russian energy supplies is what funded his invasion.  This, no fossil fuels and no nuclear power folly, has made Europe the world champion of heat deaths, and in France, this has become a dividing political issue triggered by seriously hot weather.  In France they shut down reactors because the water they use to cool the reactor that's returned to the river may be a bit too warm and may.... may mind you.... impact "aquatic ecosystems."

Never mind the fact that massive heat waves will definitely kill people due to the lack of energy to run air conditions, but hey, that's not big deal since humanity only has a few months to live anyway, and Europeans just have to accept they're doomed to die from global warming.  But there's hope!  It can be halted if western societies hand over $1.3 trillion a year..... every year......to the UN to fight ‘Climate Chaos’.  Yeah, right!  The real goal?  This author sums it up nicely calling this scam and a Legal Weapon Against Sovereignty: The UN’s Global Climate Change Mandate Has All the Characteristics of a Scam:

Reports about the death of climate alarmism have been greatly exaggerated. In fact, obeying United Nations climate decrees is now officially “international law.” At least that is what two key UN entities and more than 140 national governments would like humanity to believe.

In one of the most consequential developments yet for the global climate movement, the UN General Assembly voted to formally endorse and “operationalize” a 2025 ruling by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) declaring that governments are legally obligated to combat climate change....another brazen power grab by globalist forces.

All the agendas promoted by these globalists have one goal in common.  Tax America massively and give that money to corrupt third world nations voting to give them the power to create a world wide totalitarian system of governance, destroying the only thing standing between freedom and tyranny, the American culture, the American economy, the American identity, the American government, and ultimately the destruction of the U.S. Constitution.

Solutions

Wind turbines and solar power cannot supply the needed energy for any advanced society, not to mention wind turbines slaughter birds and bats at a massive level.  Canada's building western civilizations first grid scale small modular reactor, and this is going to be the wave of the future.  But be assured, if it works, the green activists will turn against it.

Update, 8/11/26:
  • California, The Blackout State - Federal data show that no state had as many power outages across more than two decades as California. The nearly 500 grid breakdowns correlate with increases in renewable energy. Maybe there’s been no causation, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be in the future, because the intermittency of renewables is a mismatch with the power grid.......  (My Take - The closet communists of the green/left Democrat party has dominated California's politics and policies for decades, with lies about global warming and energy production.   Assuming all their elections were devoid of voter fraud....a callous assumption...this is what they convinced the voters of California to vote for, and this is what they got... Schadenfreude.  RK)
  • Last-Ditch Effort to Kill Trump Fossil Fuel EOs Goes Down in Flames - The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday refused to rehear the lawsuit brought by twenty-two young climate activists, which initially challenged President Donald Trump’s fossil fuel agenda, leaving intact a panel decision that found the plaintiffs lacked standing. The youths in Lighthiser v. Trump argued that Trump’s executive orders promoting fossil fuel development would increase emissions and worsen climate-related harms in the future................The youth plaintiffs’ defeat comes amid other recent setbacks for climate litigation. In March, the Maryland Supreme Court.  A Pennsylvania judge similarly

Update, 8/14/26:

  • D.C. Circuit Endangerment Finding Litigation: The Stall Is On - The Endangerment Finding (EF) is the completely absurd piece of regulatory overreach by which the Obama EPA in December 2009 purported to determine that the trace atmospheric gas carbon dioxide was a “danger to human health and welfare.” That action may have been absurd, but it was by no means benign. CO2 is a principal product of all combustion of fossil fuels. Following on the EF, EPA and other government agencies in the Obama and then Biden Administrations set out to use the EF as the basis to transform our entire energy economy — suppressing drilling, blocking pipelines, forcing closure of power plants, outlawing combustion cars and gas heat and stoves, and much, much more. In Trump’s first term, EPA never chose to take on the EF; but in Trump’s second term the agency got right to work on the job of rescission, and issued the final rule rescinding the first part of the EF (as to motor vehicle emissions) on February 13, 2026. By February 18, progressive NGOs were already in court (D.C. Circuit) seeking to block the rescission. I covered the rescission of the EF in this post on February 15, and then the status of the litigation in this further post on July 21. If you are interested in this subject, here is the key issue to watch: Do the progressive NGOs and their blue state co-petitioners, and for that matter the D.C. Circuit itself, want this case to proceed to a quick resolution? Or do they want to stall?
  • Voters ‘don’t care’ about climate - CNN pollster reveals climate tied for 14th on list of top issues for the midterm vote at 3% – Not even a majority agree humans cause any climate change – Least important issue for GOP voters.........

Another New Study Links Modern And Past Global Warming To Natural Changes In Cloud Clover, Not CO2 - A July 2026 Environmental Research Letters paper authored by Bellocchi et al. attributes ~80% of the rise in Earth’s absorbed solar radiation since 2000 to declining high-reflectivity cloud cover, primarily from circulation-driven contraction of storm-cloud zones. The study highlights the climate’s “albedo governance,” suggesting a 1% shift in Earth’s albedo corresponds to a 1°C surface temperature change...........

Update, 8/15/26:

  • Inside the Left’s Climate “Lawfare” Gambit in Colorado - A constellation of left-wing environmental groups wants to re-open the climate lawsuit floodgates, throwing their weight behind a high-stakes case in Colorado.  At least 20 new “friend of the court” briefs were filed last week in the Suncor Energy Inc. v. County Commissioners of Boulder County case, which will decide whether local governments can use state tort law to pursue claims with implications extending far beyond their borders. A network of leftleaning climate groups and legal figures appear in the amicus curiae briefs in support of Boulder, adding to a long list of high-profile court cases challenging fossil fuel companies........

How Long Can NATO and Europe Last?

By Rich Kozlovich

I subscribe to Geopolitical Futures for good reason, as this June 19th article, Germany, Poland and the limits of Rapprochement, by Antonia Colibasanu demonstrates.  Unfortunately it's a subscription article so you'll just have to take my word for it, or not as it pleases you. The article discusses issues between Germany, Poland and Ukraine, and while Ukraine isn't part of NATO, in reality, this really is what NATO is.  A group of petty self-serving European nations who can never have harmony.

It's my view NATO's days are numbered, right along with the EU.  They speak over 200 languages in Europe and a ton of historical resentment exists between these nations.    If you read the history of events surrounding what's now Germany, Poland and Russia, you find they've been butchering each other for centuries.  Each of them being the aggressor at some point in time, and we need to understand, it isn't just WWII that molds their attitude.  It's been molded by time and history.

"Although Warsaw remains one of Kyiv’s strongest supporters, historical memory has repeatedly surfaced as a source of tension. Some of this is connected to Polish domestic politics. For example, in 2023-24, disputes over Ukrainian grain imports and World War II-era atrocities were caught up in campaigning for Poland’s 2023 parliamentary elections and 2025 presidential race. Indeed, Nawrocki, a historian by training and former head of Poland’s Institute of National Remembrance, has long emphasized the importance of historical justice in Poland’s foreign relations."

It isn't just U.S. money that keeps it together.   The U.S. is "daddy" with a big stick if they get out of line, and that's not working all that well any longer.  Truthfully, Europeans have doubts as to America's continued commitment to NATO, and yet believe they can't defend themselves without America.

"Earlier this year, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said anyone thinking that Europe could defend itself without the U.S. was ‘dreaming’ — angering some European lawmakers.”

Quite frankly, I don't care if they get their panties all in a twist over all this.  The fact is Americans are tired of playing the funder/moderator/disciplinarian that keeps NATO alive, saving Europe.  In two world wars and a cold war Europe has cost America trillions of dollars, and thousands of gallons of American blood, and they have the nerve to look down on America.  Truth be told, many in America, including me, are tired of Europe, and in my case it's been my view for decades.

By the end of this decade it's my view the EU will no longer exist, their economy will be trashed, and Europe is a second rate continent that will end up being a third rate continent.  What if my timetable is off?  Immaterial, because even if my time table is off; that's what's coming.

They've violated their societies with stupid DEI policies and third world immigration.  They're being invaded by people with low IQ's, who believe they have a religious right to perpetrate a lot of criminal activity, including rape, and they're destroying western civilization with the support and aid of European and American leaders.

The folly of such policies is legion.  Across Europe we read almost daily about women and children being raped by “migrants,” not to mention churches burning and no-go zones where police fear to enter.  Across the United States, in addition to blatant fraud, a majority of immigrants are recipients of government largesse and basic services like schools and hospitals are overwhelmed.............

The reality is, over the last 500 years, almost all of the advances that have come about that have improved the lives of mankind have come from white males living in Western civilizations. This is particularly true since the founding of the United States.  That doesn’t mean that others haven’t contributed or that the white males got or get everything right, because they most certainly didn’t.  But it does make one wonder why the leaders of the civilizations built by that group are so determined to destroy everything that they built in the name of diversity.  The reality is, “diversity” for diversity’s sake is never, ever, a positive for Western civilization.

Imagine that, what could possibly go wrong?

Diversity without accomplishment is incompetence without consequence.

Why Europe is Doomed

 By Rich Kozlovich

Over the years I've stated the EU would collapse by 2025 or at the latest by 2030.  Well, 2025 was wrong, will it be in 2030?  Truth be told, it's coming, and it's coming soon.  The actual date is immaterial.  It's the cycles and patterns that matter.  Let's start with England.

There's been a lot of talk over the years about England's "free" health care system, but the end result has been disastrous, and right from early on.  As of now the UK's emergency room waits kills 300 poeple a week in their "free" system of socialized medicine.

The opposition leader of the Reform UK movement, Nigel Farage, was "referred for potential prosecution over his public critiques of the British justice system amid the controversial "Manchester Airport trial", comments that needed to be made over the failure of the British government to properly prosecute as a result of their two tiered criminal system involving Muslim criminals.

How clueless is Prime Minister Starmer?

Keir Starmer says 'successful, brilliant, creative' Muslim immigrants have made great contributions to Britain’s story .............Well, they certainly have been successfully creative at bilking British taxpayers out of billions of pounds of hard-earned money. And they have been similarly successful in their creative use of knives against the native island-dwellers...............It is almost impossible to overstate the trouble the United Kingdom is in.

The knife attack in Belfast has triggered protests across Scotland and in England over the explosion of Muslim immigrant crimes and the government's efforts to hide them.  Brits are finally getting angry, but does the Labour party change their position and actions?  No... of course not.... the problem isn't Islam, illegal immigration, or mass immigration of people who hate western civilization and wish to violently destroy it.  The problem is the public is being misinformed, so their solution is to create a secret unit of ‘Thought Police’ that will manipulate the narratives and control the anger of the peasants. This is a massive government effort to curtail free speech.

In the wake of violent unrest in Belfast sparked by yet another brutal attack involving an asylum seeker, details have emerged of a secretive government operation working overtime to shape what the British public is allowed to think and say about the failures of mass migration. This isn’t organic crisis management—it’s engineered narrative control, straight out of a Cold War playbook, now deployed against ordinary citizens frustrated by unchecked violence and cultural erosion.

And we wonder why young Brits are ignorant of their history.  These demonstrations are shaking things up.  Even supporters want Prime Minister Starmer gone, and the Brits want the Labour party to join him.

The EU is run by bureaucrats .........who are "petty, exhausting, and expensive, Euro-bureaucracy is steadily eroding Europe’s competitiveness and turning private-sector investment into a gamble. The idea of the free market -- namely that consumer demand for cleaner, more environmentally friendly production and logistics can be expressed through competition itself, one of civilization’s greatest achievements -- appears to have largely vanished within today’s EU.........

"Brussels always tells the same story: regulation is supposed to strengthen the European single market and harmonize economic and environmental objectives. A beautiful narrative -- especially for those who stand to profit from it. Similar dynamics have already emerged in other sectors, such as carbon emissions trading. In the end, compliance costs for affected businesses rise, the bureaucratic apparatus expands through new control and sanctioning mechanisms, and the overall economy loses competitiveness."

In France the 1 in 3 people are either foreign born or descendant of immigrants.  The issue in this case isn't just that they're immigrates. The issue is they're Muslim immigrants, and rightly so.  Would it matter if they were from Switzerland, Germany, Poland, or any of the other western nation?  No, it only matters because they're Muslims, and for good reason.   This isn't immigration, it's invasion.  An invasion by people who subscribe to a religion that demands the destruction of any and all who refuse to convert.  They want to destroy the nations that are foolishly taking them in, and worse yet, these foolish governments are pandering to them.

The stupidity of Europe's leaders and the arrogance of Europeans overall is mind boggling.  One example is their smug superior act over their position on gun ownership, and yet foolishly ignore the rising crime involving knives, mostly done by Muslim immigrants, mostly to the unarmed local ethnic population, making them helpless victims.  Just as the knife attack by that Sudanese asylum claimer against an unarmed man in Belfast who he slashed, and blinded in one eye.  If a bystander hadn't taken a shovel to his head he might have beheaded his victim.

Now the EU has decided trade with China isn't "sustainable".  Wow!  I'm shocked, shocked I tell you! Well, the bugman understood that from early on, and that should have been obvious from day one to the EU leadership.   But the EU being the EU, filled with arrogant multicultural wokeness, they just didn't get it.

It's interesting how the EU's pandering to Russia over the years is now playing out.  They're concerned Putin's ambitions for expansion aren't necessarily stopping with Ukraine, although he's claimed he has no aspirations to attack NATO nations.  But in response to Europe's efforts at what they're calling ‘Strategic Autonomy,’ he's also said:

...... "that membership in NATO “will not protect” Baltic states – Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia – that may be aiding Ukraine by hosting its military drones, something Russia accuses Latvia of doing. All three countries are members of the European Union that border Russian territory. "

Well, personally, I think that's big talk he can't walk.  He's in deep economic trouble and has serious demographic problems he can't solve.  In no way can he afford another battle front, but nonetheless,  Europe's scared now.

Here's the lesson American's need to take away from all this European insanity.  These are the policies Democrats want for America, and disaster is sure to follow.  Europe no longer counts, economically, philosophically or culturally.  All they have left is arrogance.  Here's a reality that's going to come home to roost.  International debt, and inflation.

Every major currency in the world has lost most of its value since 1971:

  1. US:  $100 in 1971 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $822 today, a cumulative loss of roughly 87%.
  2. UK:  The British pound has lost roughly 95% of its purchasing power between 1971.
  3. EU:  The euro, which replaced the lira, has itself lost purchasing power: €100 in 1997, the year the ECB’s Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices series begins, is equivalent to about €184 today, a loss of 46% in under three decades.
  4. Russia:  From 1993 alone, the ruble lost over 99.9% of its purchasing power, per OECD and World Bank data.
  5. Canada: The Canadian dollar has lost roughly 87% of its purchasing power since 1971.
  6. Germany: Deutsche mark lost roughly 76% of its purchasing power between 1971 and 2002.

This is the tip of the iceberg, and for no other reason than these nations are writing checks they can't cover.  The legendary 37 trillion dollar national debt of the United States is shocking, but the federal government owns 150 trillion dollars in assets.  That debt can be paid, none of these other nations are true capital generating nations and they don't have trillions in assets that can be liquidated.

There are four things that determine the state of any nation, or region.  Geographics, demographics, economics, and happiness. Those four points represent the first of my seven rules on geopolitics.

  1. First Rule of Geopolitics: All geopolitics is about four factors, geographics, demographics, economics, and that most elusive factor of all, the happiness factor.
  2. Second Rule of Geopolitics:  Everything is about the basics.  You have to be able to see issues at their foundational root levels in order to understand and fix complex problems.
  3. Third Rule of Geopolitics: History is everything since historical events lay the foundation for the social paradigms of nations, which have been in effect for centuries in most areas of the world. In short, culture is king.
  4.  Fourth Rule of Geopolitics:  People are like nations, and will act in their own best interests, unless they don't.
  5. Fifth Rule of Geopolitics: Nothing is ever as it appears.  Look behind the curtain, there's always something hidden.
  6. Sixth Rule of Geopolitics:  The patterns of life keep repeating over and over again.
  7. Seventh Rule of Geopolitics:  Everyone lies.

Europe is failing in understanding all seven, and now the EU has invited the Taliban to visit Brussels for mass migration talks.  If you had any doubt as to their cluelessness, that should dispel them.

Updates:  One of the things Americans fail to understand is the EU is made up of a bunch of nations that are made up of a bunch of smaller nations that were packed together by wars, treaties, etc, and they have history.... a lot of history.... and when you scratch the surface you find.... they really....really... don't like or trust each other, and speaking over 25 main languages and 200 hundred sub-languages doesn't help.

I subscribe to the subscription site Geopolitical Futures and get worldwide reports daily about what going on, and I think this is profound.  Since I can't link it... you'll just have to take my word for it or not.... as it pleases you.

"Polish President Karol Nawrocki called for banning the flag of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, a group that fought for Ukrainian independence in the 1940s and 1950s and that Warsaw has accused of committing atrocities against ethnic Poles. He made the comments during a memorial for the victims of a genocide committed by Ukrainian nationalists during World War II in Volyn. The issue has been a growing source of tension between the two countries in recent months."

Truthfully, this isn't just about WWII, and its not an anomaly between these two European nations.  This is Europe.  It's who and what they are under the surface, and it doesn't take much to have all the harsh feelings for centuries of conflict rise to the surface.

My Take - Sane civilized people hate this kind of thing, but reality has so often forced it on sane civilized people. I’ve so often said in the past this was where all this migratory insanity was going to lead. I’m convinced we’re going to see governments overthrown, civil order disappear and violence on a level not seen since the middle ages. All it will take is a collapse of their economy, and that’s coming soon. At the end of it all, Europe will be left with nothing, a third rate continent that will revert back to their natural social paradigms of small independent or semi-independent nations based on ethnicity, language and a shared historical cultural. Trump Should Have Spoken at Climate Week NYC 2025

Tom Harris | Sep 30, 2025

“If you don’t get away from this green scam, your country is going to fail,” President Donald Trump told delegates in his speech to the United Nations General Assembly (GA) last week. It is a shame the president was not a speaker at this year’s Climate Week NYC, which wrapped up on Sunday, as he would have given them much needed relief from the steady drumbeat of alarmism heard during the weeklong gabfest.

Besides criticizing the UN’s failure to work to end conflicts and properly deal with immigration issues, the president focused on the climate change swindle promoted by the U.N. and nations around the world. He highlighted dire climate predictions made decades ago that have not come to pass, giving an example: “another UN official stated in 1989 that within a decade, entire nations could be wiped off the map by global warming,” adding correctly, “Not happening.” He emphasized how global cooling used to be the concern, then global warming, now “climate change,” creating “the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world.”

Trump also criticized other countries’ green energy policies, explaining how they are wasting money trying to reduce their “carbon footprint” at the expense of lost jobs and closed factories. “The carbon footprint is a hoax,” he bluntly, and correctly, told the GA.

In stark contrast, 2.5 miles away in Manhattan, Simon Stiell, Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC, the primary UN climate body, told Climate Week NYC 2025:

“The clean energy transition is booming across almost all major economies and hit 2 trillion dollars last year alone…Meanwhile, climate disasters are hitting every economy and society harder every year. So, we need to step it up. And we need to step it up fast [to avoid catastrophe].”

At the Freshfields energy summit, a high-profile event held during this year’s Climate Week NYC, leaders agreed that coal must be “rapidly retired in developed economies” by 2035 to meet pathways aligned with the Paris Agreement. That developing countries account for nearly 80 percent of global coal consumption (as of 2024) didn’t seem to bother them. China, which alone consumes 58 percent of the world’s coal — more than the rest of the world combined, has made it clear they are going to continue to build coal fired power stations no matter what. In the first half of 2025 alone, China commissioned 21 GW of coal power, about 25 new coal-fired power plants — the most for that period since 2016. When it comes to China and developing countries, the tone shifts from rapid retirement of dependable coal plants in the west to respect for “energy sovereignty” and “national priorities” for Asia. If sovereignty is sacred, it should be respected universally, but the fact that it isn’t demonstrates yet another way China is gaming the system.

Tim Lenton, Professor of Earth System Science at University of Exeter and keynote speaker at Climate Week, chimed in,

“We need decisive mandates for the end of fossil fuel technologies that are going to be the crucial thing to stimulate the clean technologies we need.” Specifically, he wants to “Phase out of coal power stations in developed nations by 2035…mandating no petrol and diesel car sales from 2035…all heating appliances for buildings being heat pumps from 2035, and all trucks to be electric powered from 2040.”

If this were to actually happen, it would be an unmitigated disaster for businesses and consumers alike. Trump illustrated this well when he told the GA that European electricity bills are now “two to three times higher than the United States, and our bills are coming way down.” Yet, this is only a preview of massive costs to come if Europe continues to replace inexpensive, dependable conventional power with costly, unreliable wind and solar power.

In his 2021 brief for Canada’s House of Commons, Robert Lyman, economist and Principal of ENTRANS Policy Research Group, and former director general, environmental affairs, at Transport Canada, said, “The cost to electrify the U.S. economy would translate into annual cost increases of at least U.S. $5,000 per household” and that “annual consumer expenditures for energy would roughly double.” That doesn’t even take into account the loss of energy security with increased vulnerability to blackouts and brownouts.

For instance, Texas, the state with the most wind power, also had the greatest number of blackouts between 2000 and 2023. California, the state with the most solar power, had the third most blackouts. Dr. H. Sterling Burnett, senior fellow on environmental policy for The Heartland Institute, said “wind and solar power are particularly unsuited for a large power grid because they work only when the weather conditions are just right.”

Trump was also right to call out EU politicians for leading their citizens to a health disaster. He pointed out how the U.S. has about 1,300 heat-related deaths annually, while Europe has more than 175,000, caused in large part by the high costs of electricity that prevents people from air-conditioning their homes. The population of Europe is only just over twice that of the U.S., so this means that the chances of a person dying due to the heat in Europe is 62 times that in America

Over the past week, New York City showcased the stark contrast between a climate realist president and those advocating overhauling our entire energy infrastructure to address a problem that only exists in the imagination of uninformed activists. Bravo President Trump!

Western Stupidity and the Two State Solution

By Rich Kozlovich

Over a large part of my life this idea of a two state solution involving Israel and so-called Palestinians has been touted over and over again.  Thirty years ago it was thought possible by a substantial number of Israeli's.   Then the riots, the relentless acts of terror, bombs being exploded in public places, missile attacks killing civilians indiscriminately.  This idea of "land for peace" has turned into an abject failure, and the Two-State Solution Died on October 7, as it was clear any independent Islamic state within Israel's borders was nothing more than a staging area for Israel's enemies to attack and destroy Israel.

Western liberals, and even conservatives, embraced the two state concept, but the Muslims never wanted a separate state with Israel, they wanted Israel destroyed.  That should have been obvious to the most casual observer, yet these “leaders” still won’t abandon that idiotic idea. Why? Because they understand the only real solution is for Israel to kick out these Arabs who claim they’re Palestinians just as the surrounding Arab nations have done in the past, and they’re unwilling to embrace that truth.

The only answer is Hamas must be destroyed, Gaza must become completely occupied, then filled with Israeli settlements and become a permanent part of Israel, and kick out any so-called Palestinians, just like their Arab Muslim “brothers” have done all over the Middle East, and that includes the West Bank. Anything else is a capitulation to terrorists monsters.

Let's start with the incontestable fact that the true peacemaker among the world's leaders is Donald Trump, and United Nations really is a "hive of scum and villainy", and then proceed to the insanity being promoted by western "leaders" proclaiming they will recognize a Palestinian state.
  • The U.N. Betrays Its Own Charter with Premature Palestine Recognition  No Palestinian Membership Application Has Passed Muster in the U.N. Security Council, Rendering Statehood a Legal and Political Impossibility.....
  • Emmanuel Macron, who has never been the brightest pebble in the brook, you can't negotiate with terrorists, and now the Netherlands is banning two Israeli officials over Gaza “rhetoric”.
  • Prime minister Starmer is threatening to also recognize Palestine if Netanyahu doesn’t take “substantive measures” in Gaza, whatever the heck that means, except as an open ended platform for “substantive” demands that will never end.
  • Canada’s Recognition of a Palestinian State Betrays Western Values - Canada is preparing to recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations as early as September 2025. Prime Minister Mark Carney has framed the decision as both a moral obligation and a diplomatic necessity. In reality, it represents a sharp break from Canada’s democratic principles—and a betrayal of its closest ally, the United States......
  • Australia to recognise Palestinian state in September -  Australia will recognise a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly in September, following similar moves by the UK, France and Canada, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has said. Albanese said Australia received commitments from the Palestinian Authority (PA) including to demilitarise, hold general elections and continue to recognise Israel's right to exist. "A two-state solution is humanity's best hope to break the cycle of violence in the Middle East and to bring an end to the conflict, suffering and starvation in Gaza,"............
The man actually said "A two-state solution is humanity's best hope to break the cycle of violence in the Middle East and to bring an end to the conflict, suffering and starvation in Gaza."  It really is true, you can't fix stupid.
  • The Eurabian Push for a Hamas State -  The hostility toward Israel in Europe is matched only by the enthusiasm for establishing a Palestinian state controlled by Hamas. Leading this effort is France: President Emmanuel Macron announced on July 25 that his country would recognize a Palestinian state later this year. Knesset member Dan Illouz rightly opposed such a state as “a gift to the terrorists of October 7.” Four days later, at a U.N. conference, France and Saudi Arabia led the New York Declaration, aiming for a “tangible, time-bound and irreversible” step toward the creation of Palestine. The 26-page document, a study in mendacious one-sidedness, is the latest sign of Europe’s anti-Israel sentiment, which has been prevalent since the founding of the Jewish state........
  • The Mirage of Palestinian Statehood – On the face of it, winning international recognition would seem to be a victory for Palestinian diplomacy—a strategic success won despite battlefield defeat at the hands of Israel. Many have criticized the Canadian, French, and British on these same grounds, arguing that recognition is effectively rewarding Hamas, granting them what they wanted despite the fact that they started the most recent war with their bloody incursion into Israel in October 2023. .........Whatever violence may or may not be legitimate in establishing national independence, we can be sure that violence that establishes fictional states—states whose only existence is on the NGO conference circuit—is not only morally reprehensible but also politically futile. .....
  • Ambassador Huckabee Blasts Weak European Leaders Backing Hamas  Hamas is a doomsday terrorist organization. It will never surrender so long as one member is still alive.   "There is one reason there is suffering in Gaza, it's the same reason that 1200 people were massacred on October the 7th. It's the same reason that 250 people were taken hostage, 50 of them continue to be held hostage and tortured and that's because of Hamas. They are a terror organization and they've acted like it," Huckabee said during an interview with Fox News over the weekend, blasting weak European politicians. "All of this time, Israel has done everything it can. They've made I don't know ow many offers in order to get the hostages out, to end this." "Hamas always walks away, always says no,"
Perhaps they need to start reading the history between Europe and Islam.  Europe’s Forgotten Enslavement: The Brutal Islamic Slave Raids That Captured Millions. That’s who they were, that’s who they are, and that’s who they will always be. After almost 1500 years of incontestable history why is that so hard to get?
All of these nations are heavily infected with Islamists, and soon Israel will be the least of their concerns. Also, Trump said Macron’s views are meaningless, and that goes for the rest of them also. Trump has tamed their egos and made it clear, Europe no longer counts, it's a second rate continent working dilligently to become a third rate continent with a dead culture.  If they keep allowing unrestricted Islamic immigration, Europe will no longer exist as we know Europe, and there will be three Islamic nations with nuclear weapons. Iran, France, and the UK.

They are in point of fact rewarding terrorism, and by their demands they're creating standards that will prevent winning wars against monsters, totally losing sight of this one incontrovertible fact that what happens in Gaza won't stay in Gaza.

To quote a man who calls himself Granpa:

All the shouting about a two-state solution is, as from Macbeth: “"It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

One final thought about the UN.  They're stunned, stunned I tell you, to find the Taliban oppress women.  Imagine that, and these are leaders?  How can anyone be so ignorant and  so stupid?  How can anyone take anything anyone that ignorant and stupid seriously?  Then again, maybe their lying.  Not much of a recommendation.

Calculating America’s Lead over Europe

By Dan Mitchell May 14, 2025 @ International Liberty

There’s an enormous amount of data showing that people in the United States enjoy much higher livings standards than Europeans.

That’s not too surprising since most European governments have adopted large-sized welfare states while Americans are (comparatively!) lucky in that we have a medium-sized welfare state.

That’s all very straightforward and uncontroversial.

What’s not completely clear, however, is whether the United States has a growing economic advantage.

I’ve cited several data sources showing that America is expanding its lead over Europe. And I saw this tweet today that included a chart making the same point.

Since I’m patriotic (in the proper sense), I like seeing this kind of data. I want everyone to get richer, but I can’t resist wanting Americans to do better than everyone else.

That being said, my guy instinct is that there’s something quirky in the data. Simply stated, I question whether France, Germany, and U.K. were almost as rich as the United States in 2008. And I also question whether we’ve grown that much faster than those nations since then.

So I decided to check the Maddison database.

Lo and behold, this chart (all numbers in this case based on inflation-adjusted 2011 dollars) shows that my skepticism is warranted. The United States has always enjoyed an economic advantage, but the lead is not expanding at a rapid rate.

However, I admit to some misgivings about this chart, especially when looking at Germany’s comparatively strong economic performance.

My gut instinct is that policy has significantly deteriorated in recent years (more spending and green energy), so I wouldn’t expect Germany to out-perform the U.K. and France.

So I decided to look at the IMF’s big database.

Interestingly, the IMF’s data is much closer to the World Bank data in the first chart.

Though there are differences. The World Bank numbers preposterously showed France ahead of the U.S. in one year, while the IMF numbers (almost as preposterously) show occasional leads for Germany and the United Kingdom.

The bottom line is that I don’t know which numbers are most accurate. Maybe somewhere in between all three data sources.

Regardless, all of the numbers lead to the same conclusion, which is that it would be very smart for the U.S. to avoid becoming more like Europe.  Which is why yesterday’s column was so critical of Senator Josh Hawley.

P.S. I am willing for America to become more like one European nation. And I would like to copy the economic policy of a certain Asian nation.

P.P.S. If you want to laugh at European statism, click here.

Have The Intermittent Energy Blackouts Begun?

April 28, 2025 @ Manhattan Contrarian

Today there have been widespread electricity blackouts across Europe, beginning in Spain and Portugal in the early afternoon (local time), and then spreading to other countries including France, Andorra, Belgium and the Netherlands. Is this related to the increasing penetration of intermittent generation from wind and solar facilities?

For years, many in the climate skeptic community have warned that expansion of intermittent renewable electricity generation on the grid will, sooner or later, lead to frequent blackouts. The reason for the warning is easy to understand: The grid has some rather exacting operational requirements that the intermittent renewable generation technologies cannot fulfill. Primary among these requirements are, first, minute-by-minute matching of electricity supply with electricity demand and, second, grid-wide synchronization of the frequency of the alternating current. When wind and solar provided relatively small portions of the electricity consumed, other generation sources, particularly thermal (fossil fuel) and hydro, would fulfill these requirements. But as wind and solar come to dominate generation, the problems become much more difficult to solve.

Here at Manhattan Contrarian, I have mostly steered clear of covering this topic. Although I think I understand the main issues, I am certainly not a grid engineer. And there are many smart people who are engineers and who have the job of “balancing” the grid to keep it consistently up and running in the face of the challenges of intermittent wind and solar generation. Maybe they can succeed. I doubt it. But I definitely have wanted to avoid “crying wolf,” predicting over and over that frequent blackouts are imminent, only to find that the engineers have come up with solutions that seem to work reasonably well.

As of this writing, it does not appear that a definitive cause (or causes) of today’s blackouts has been established. However, there is every reason to think that the increasing penetration of wind and solar generation in Spain is the most important part of the problem. Here are links to some articles that have appeared so far today: this one from the Daily Mail at 8:41 AM EDT (which would be 2:41 PM in Spain); this one from Yahoo News at 10:21 AM EDT (4:21 PM in Spain); and this one from Climate Change Dispatch (no time indicated, but based on a paywalled piece from the Telegraph, with a time stamp of 3:21 BST).

According to the piece in the Daily Mail, Spain’s state electricity network operator, known as Red Electric, reported that today’s problem began with “‘a very strong oscillation’ in the electrical network [that] caused Spain’s power system to ‘disconnect from the European system.’” On the question of the initial cause of the “oscillation,” there is only speculation. Proposed causes range from “extreme temperature variations along very high-voltage power lines in Spain,” to a hacking attack.

But whatever the initial cause of the “oscillation,” what is clear is that the Spanish system then lacked the ability to respond sufficiently to keep the power on. Why? The Daily Mail puts forth a very plausible explanation of grid instability resulting from heavy reliance on wind and solar generation. The Mail attributes the theory to “some analysts” (unnamed):

[S]ome analysts have suggested that the Spanish grid operator's reliance on renewable energy sources to supply the majority of the nation's electricity could have led to the blackout. Traditional generators, like coal and hydroelectric plants or gas turbines, are connected directly to the grid via heavy spinning machines.

When turned on, these massive machines are in constant motion and the inertia created by their weight and momentum acts like a shock absorber, helping to insulate the grid against a sudden disturbance - for example, in the event of a transmission failure.  Solar and wind power do not provide the natural inertia generated by these so-called 'spinning machines', leaving the grid more vulnerable to disruptions and subsequent oscillations in the electrical frequency.

Just before the blackout hit, it seems that solar facilities were generating over 60% of Spain’s electricity:

At 12:30pm local time today - five minutes before the widespread blackouts occurred - solar power was generating some 60% of Spain's electricity. . . .

But how about wind generation? This is from the Yahoo News piece:

Spain has one of Europe’s highest proportions of renewable energy, providing about 56pc of the nation’s electricity. More than half of its renewables comes from wind with the rest from solar and other sources. That means Spain’s electricity supplies are increasingly reliant on the weather delivering enough wind to balance its grid. For much of the last 24 hours, that wind has been largely missing. The website Windy.com, for example, shows wind speeds of 2-3mph, leaving the country reliant on solar energy and old gas-fired power stations.

So when the “oscillation” occurred, what is going to keep the grid steady on its 50 Hz frequency? From Michael Schellenberger today on X:

[A]ll of Europe appears to have been seconds away a continent-wide blackout. The grid frequency across continental Europe plunged to 49.85 hertz — just a hair above the red-line collapse threshold. The normal operating frequency for Europe’s power grid is 50.00 Hz, kept with an extremely tight margin of ±0.1 Hz. Anything outside ±0.2 Hz triggers major emergency actions. If the frequency had fallen just another 0.3 Hz — below 49.5 Hz — Europe could have suffered a system-wide cascading blackout.

The bottom line is that there were multi-hour blackouts in many places today. A random “oscillation” of some sort, which could have been easily handled in a world of fossil fuel power plants, became a huge problem when wind and solar generators could not respond to it appropriately. And so people were stuck for hours in elevators or subway trains; traffic lights went dark; banking and cell phone networks stopped working; and so forth. But within a few hours all of those were back in business.

So was this really a big deal? As Schellenberger points out, with just “a hair” more frequency variation it could have been far worse. Will that happen some time soon? I’m not going to pretend I know. But I do know that the electricity system in most of Europe and many U.S. states is in the hands of crazed fanatics who have no idea what they are doing. My own bet would be that there are many far worse blackouts to come, until this idiotic “net zero” thing is abandoned.

P&D and The Week That Was

Truth is the Sublime Convergence of History and Reality

De Omnibus Dubitandum, (Everything is to be questioned!)

This Link will take you to My Commentaries.

By Rich Kozlovich

I consider Victor Davis Hanson to be the premiere historian in America. There are a lot of really excellent historians in the nation, but history is a story, he has a quality so many of the rest lack. He tells a great story.    He asks if you wanted to destroy American, how would you go about it?  Then he gives you the answer by describing the disastrous polices of Joe Biden and the Democrats for the last four years, but he also lays the blame on Republicans, and rightly so.   This didn't just start in 2020, but the last four years was like comparing a runny nose with terminal cancer.   Make sure to watch his video.

You Gotta Admit That Trump Is Packing Some Major Cajones  - Literally. Remember, if a Republican doesn’t win in 2028, the lawfare is back on and squared. His enemies tried to bankrupt him with lawsuits that would’ve been laughed out of the courts had the defendant not been Donald J. Trump. His enemies tried to frame him and throw him in jail for the rest of his life. When that didn’t work, they tried to kill him. Twice.

His enemies managed to blow his ear lobe off and murder an innocent man who got in the way. Then the next one tried to do it with a rifle only because he couldn’t come up with the Stinger missile he wanted to get from his Ukrainian buddies.  Talk about high stakes. But Trump doesn’t care. Move over, honey badger. President 47 is in the house, and no Schiffs are given..........

But we need to appreciate the risk our President is taking to Make America Great Again. Trump is risking everything. We know because they’ve already tried to kill him, twice, and about half of them think killing him would be a great idea. That means that for President Trump, this is literally a matter of life and death, and the most awesome and inspiring thing is that he just doesn’t care..........

Last week, Senator Corey Booker "set a new record by delivering the longest speech ever in the history of the Senate", and the accolades poured in from the left.   The fact is, they can throw all the accolades at him they please, but the reality is the man talked for 25 hours and said nothing. How do I know that? Show me one quote the media, or his misfit colleagues keep repeating? Not one.

Winston Churchill’s “I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat” speech lasted minutes, and that phrase has been quoted for over eighty years.   Standing in front of the Brandenburg Gate in 1987 Ronald Reagan said, ”Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall”, and it's been quoted ever since.   In 2018 Cory Booker said, “I am Spartacus”, and everyone laughed!   It's only quoted as proof he's an egomaniacal dolt, for which he’s now presented unquestioned confirmation.

One commenter at American thinker said:

Quick! Someone post at least five things he said in those 25 hours’ worth repeating or that will go into a “Great quotes of politicians” book. His 25 hours was like camping out in the pasture with the jackass’s and cattle, a lot of noise that amounts to nothing.

Yes, Booker is Democrat presidential timber for sure, right along with the rest of the Democrat bench.  Gavin Newsom, AOC, Buttigieg, Tampon Timmy Walz, Rahm Emanuel, Kamala Harris, and now it appears Jasmine Crockett is being thrown into the mix.   Senator John Kennedy says he thinks AOC is the leader of the Democrat party now, and he also thinks she's the reason why they put directions on shampoo bottles.  It gets better.  In spite of the influence AOC now has in the party, it's felt it will be Kamala in 2028.  Ya just gotta see the humor in that.  But nonetheless, it's being reported the machinery is already in the works, "but the moment she’s challenged she’ll fall apart again and primary voters will be reminded of what a lousy candidate she is and not want to take the risk."

This Rust Belt Revival piece was a good article, wisely outlining what society really wants:

They want good jobs. They want their kids to do better than they do. They want to own a home. They want to pay down their debt. This isn’t hard.”

And you’re right, it isn’t that hard to understand, if one wants to understand. Machiavelli noted almost 500 years ago the one foundational truth these elites keep ignoring.   Everything is the basics, the masses just want security. Why do they ignore it? Because the elites want “more”, and don’t care what the masses want or need.   Just like Henry Kissinger and his acolyte Klaus Schwab, who thinks there should be a world government that’s run like China, and in his case, run by China.  Their delusional ideology caused them to make decisions that are so destructive, it will take decades to overcome, and some may never entirely be overcome.

What about Greenland and Denmark?  This was an interesting article which described the unjustified arrogant thinking of the European elite, which has been going on since America was founded. Constantly looking down their noses at America, and entirely too many American leaders seeking their approval.  was a Anglophile, and like Teddy Roosevelt believed in two concepts:  "l'etat se moi", I am the state, and the Constitution is an impediment to human progress.

While publicly proclaiming he was not going to get America involved in WWI, in the background he was doing everything he could to make that happen.  America's involvement turned the tide against Germany because all of Europe was running out of young men to throw up against machine gun emplacements, and the added American demographic, rightly or wrongly, doomed Germany.   That laid the foundation for WWII, and the cold war.

As the years went by I got sick of hearing "America's allies abroad" don't like this or don't like that.  And I really got sick of hearing these nitwits saying: “when will America learn” this or “when will America learn” that. Learn from who? These European failures?

America's allies abroad are now and have always been leaky vessels, money grubbing, ungrateful, incompetent failures that only exist because America spent thousands of gallons of blood and trillions of dollars saving them - militarily and economically - and that economic number goes into multiple trillions of dollars as a result of the Bretton Woods thinking. Yet, with their idiotic globalist economic policies, compounded with their multiculturalism, green, and immigration policies, they’ve thrown that away.

Many Americans have recognized who and what European leadership is really all about, and have been tired of their arrogant stupidity for decades.  Make no mistake, I really don’t care what Denmark, a nation with a population of 5.947 million thinks. In Ohio we have 11.88 million, and we think much better than Denmark, or Europe as a whole for that matter.  Europe is doomed, and good riddance, they’ve been leech on America for over 100 years, and that ends now, but Greenland is an issue that can’t and won’t go away.

Truman should have taken it over during WWII, since Germany conquered Denmark, thus it longer existed as an independent nation, and had no say in anything.  They surrendered and had no government in exile.  In spite of the fact Truman was an avid history buff, he was always over his head when it came to geopolitics.

A third Trump term? This is all deliberate Trump hyperbole, and it just ain’t gonna happen. He does love to stir up the pot though. What’s strange is the more he does it the better he look. This could be an edition of Ripley’s Believe it or Not.

More information is being rolled out about the corruption of the Deep State, especially the FBI.  The conspiracy theorists were right, federal agents were most likely involved in January 6 "Riots:", and the official version of events seriously need to be answered, and the fact is there needs to be a serious investigation nationally as to why the police stand and do nothing while Antifa thugs violently attack conservative students at UC Davis.  Who's responsible for this?  There needs to be lawsuits filed, right along with criminal charges, and officials need to be fired.

The number of rulings from SCOTUS and these rogue district court justices has been coming fast and furious, and this one, The Supreme Court affirms Justice Boasberg lacked jurisdiction over Trump's deportation decision under the Alien Enemies act.  This ruling is a mixed bag, and it’s time to fix this by Congress passing a law stating the judiciary has exceeded it’s Constitution authority and has no jurisdiction in this matter, and are now in the process of doing so.  They also need to state this law cannot be reviewed by the courts, which the Congress has the right to do, and has done so in the past.

All this clabber by the federal judiciary is blatant nonsense.  There’s only one thing that needs to be determined about these migrants, and that is if they’re here illegally or not. If they're here illegally then they’re alien criminals and they have no rights under the Constitution, and deportation should be automatic with absolutely no redress from the courts.

I find this decision by SCOTUS most baffling.   Supreme Court Orders US to Facilitate Return of Alleged El Salvadoran MS-13 Gang Member Kilmar Abrego Garcia.   The man was here illegally, which in itself should be enough to justify his deportation.  His M13 cohorts identified him as a high ranking gang member and yet SCOTUS ruled unanimously..... unanimously mind you......  he has to be returned!  What am I missing here?  First, these judges have absolutely no jurisdiction over the foreign nations to where these criminals have been deported. Secondly, just exactly how does SCOTUS think they can force the government to enact their decision?

All of which becomes even more convoluted since now Mahmoud Khalil, who was a leading figure in antisemitic pro Hamas campus riots, and who adamantly hates America can be deported, and he's outraged at this "injustice".  Imagine that!   He lost even though he was defended by high priced lawyers who tried to shop this case to a friendly judge, but SCOTUS has ruled that can't be done now.  To quote Dan Rather:  "Questions remain".  Such as who funded those lawyers?

For decades the judiciary has been taking more power than the founding fathers ever intended, or the Constitution allows, but now they’ve become out of control revolutionaries, and that has to be stopped, and stopped now. This is a window of opportunity, and it’s not taken advantage of that window may close and may never open again, along with ending all this vile lawfare activity, in which it seems abundantly clear, these judges are complicit in this corruption of the rule of law.  All of which is right out of the leftists playbook for the imposition of tyranny, and the goal of destroying individual rights in favor of absolute control of society practiced by Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and every tyrant that ever lived.

  • Anti-Trump lawfare: yes, it's a conspiracy - It seems certain federal district judges have no such powers.  Federal judges across the country are being cherry picked in a jurisdiction shopping scheme in furtherance of Democrat’s lawfare campaign against President Trump. Its goal is to use Democrat judges who can be relied upon to ignore the Constitution and the law in favor of imposing Democrat policy, subverting Trump’s legitimate Article II powers. In essence, district court judges are imposing their Democrat political preferences, appointing themselves president. In so doing, they’re preventing President Trump from exercising his Constitutional powers and enacting the will of the voters.

Read "Into the Whirlwind", chapter six of Tony Judt’s Postwar, A History of Europe since 1945, if you want to see just how vile and monstrous these lunatics can twist and warp the law, the prosecutors, and the courts.

This week I have seven articles of my own, and twenty three other commentaries, and I've added a fifth permanent link regarding the national debt, and a sixth for wisdom's sake.  Last week my computer was in the shop so there was no P&D and The Week That Was.  I still wished to highlight the articles for that week and went back and posted an updated P&D for that week, with five articles of my own and seventeen by others, enjoy!

Have a great weekend, and best wishes to all persons of good will and honest heart.
