In Our Group, an e-mail group to which I belong and discuss every issue of the day, the Durham investigation has come up more than once, and we all pretty much agreed this was probably going nowhere as it appeared as nothing was really happening.
This piece in March of this year by Why a Durham Report Is Becoming Highly Unlikely, pretty much summed up our views. While they claimed there would be no effort to end the investigation, there's was belief Durham's tenure would come to an end, which would end any report coming out simply because:
Garland won’t allow Durham to stay in place, never mind issue a report. The prospect that Biden’s attorney general might allow Durham to indict former Obama administration officials is ludicrous............the FBI officials that Durham is reportedly investigating are Biden’s co-conspirators. To allow them to be indicted would not only point to Biden’s guilt but also show that the most powerful man in the world is unable or unwilling to protect allies who have helped advance the cause of the party he now leads. That would show Biden to be weak.
Garland understands that his primary duty as Biden’s chief law enforcement officer isn’t to oversee the fair and equal treatment of all Americans under the law but to protect the president and the party he serves.
Confirmed: John Durham's Investigation Is Much Farther Reaching Than Originally Thought - By Bonchie | Oct 21, 2021 - After years of silence, we finally started to get news regarding John Durham's probe into the Trump-Russia investigation. As RedState reported, Michael Sussmann, one of the shadowy lawyers at the center of the false Alfa Bank story targeting the Donald Trump campaign, was indicted. Then something happened last week that raised eyebrows. The FBI raided the residence of Oleg Deripaska. While the left tried to spin it as another move against Paul Manafort, others suspected it had something to do with the Durham investigation. That theory was bolstered today after it was revealed that the scope of Durham's investigation is reaching much farther than originally thought....
The Russia hoax, which the Dems unleashed in 2016 and that exploded on the scene with the "pee-pee tape" allegations when BuzzFeed published the Steele dossier shortly before Trump's inauguration, dominated much of Trump's presidency. Trump's supporters knew that it was untrue, but it was extremely difficult to unravel the details to prove the lie (although Dan Bongino's daily podcast did a superb job).......
Deep meaning of the Danchenko case - November 7, 2021 by Scott Johnson - In the scheme of things the indictment handed up by an Eastern District of Virginia grand jury against Igor Danchenko this past Thursday may be small potatoes, but the case is significant. I have embedded a copy of the 39-page indictment at the bottom. Check my summary of the allegations below against the indictment itself. I leave out a lot and the indictment conceals the names of key players in a welter of nameless descriptors such as U.S. Investigative Firm-1 (i.e., Fusion GPS). National Review’s editorial on the indictment — I infer that it was written by Andrew McCarthy, author of the best book so far on the Russia hoax — has been posted online as “The Dossier Deceit.” Both the indictment and the editorial explication are well worth reading...............
Hillary’s Russian Dossier and Other Legal and Media Travesties - Clarice Feldman November 7, 2021 - Save for the Wall Street Journal, few big media operations have reporters with the background or editors and media producers with journalistic principles to accurately inform you about legal matters. This week, looking at John Durham’s Danchenko indictment and the Kyle Rittenhouse case in Kenosha, Wisconsin, that point was made crystal clear................
John Ratcliffe on the Russia hoax - November 8, 2021 — Scott Johnson - Maria Bartiromo has tracked the Clinton/Russia hoax all along the way on her daily FOX Business morning show and weekly on FNC’s Sunday Morning Futures. Yesterday she interviewed former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe to comment on developments in the Durham investigation. I have no expectations concerning the investigation and only hope to be pleasantly surprised. Not so Ratcliffe. Having seen the intelligence, he knows where the bodies are ...............
John Durham’s latest indictment doesn’t penetrate the drive-by media bubble By Andrea Widburg November 10, 2021 = Ronald Reagan said, “The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.” Never has that statement been more accurate than it is now, in the era of COVID and the Russian hoax. Democrats (aka Progressives or socialists) resolutely confine themselves to mainstream media outlets, and those outlets reward them by protecting the audience from any information that contradicts the narrative. The news (or lack thereof) about John Durham’s latest indictment perfectly illustrates how impervious that bubble is. I don’t need to remind any of you that, for the entirety of Trump’s presidency, as well as the 22 months since he left office, the mainstream media, which is 100% Democrat in orientation, and all Democrat politicians, have given complete fealty to the Russia hoax. Trump’s satirical request that Putin hand over Hillary’s emails—which reflected the fact that Hillary grossly violated national security laws by sending State Department emails over an unsecured server, so that every foreign government had them—became enshrined as Trump seeking Putin’s help in the election.............To Read More.....
The Durham Probe Just Reached into the Biden White House Katie Pavlich
@KatiePavlich Nov 09, 2021 - In September Special Counsel John Durham announced former Clinton
campaign attorney Michael Sussmann was indicted by a grand jury for
lying to the FBI. "The charge in
the indictment stems from a set of allegations brought by Sussmann to
the FBI related to an alleged secret channel of communications between
the Trump Organization and a Russian bank," the Department of Justice
announced. "As alleged in the indictment, on Sept. 19, 2016, Sussman, a
lawyer at a large international law firm, met with the FBI General
Counsel at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Sussmann had requested
the meeting to provide the General Counsel with certain data files and
“white papers” that allegedly demonstrated a covert communications
channel between the Trump Organization and a Russia-based bank............. According to Jake Gibson, that advisor was Jake Sullivan, who currently
serves as President Joe Biden's National Security Advisor. ..............
