The Germans Have a Word For It!

Fremdschämen -  A German term which describes the process of being vicariously embarrassed by someone else. For example when somebody's concept for a great party gag goes terrible wrong and you watch him fail in the middle of all of his friends.

Backpfeifengesicht  German compound word for a 'face that should be slapped'.

Schadenfreude - A German word that meaning pleasure derived from the misfortunes of others. This word is a loanword from German. The literal English translation is 'Harm-Joy'. It is the feeling of joy or pleasure when one sees another fail or suffer misfortune. It is also borrowed by some other languages.
