Whistleblowers Expose Attempts to Wokify the Military

Soldiers recount hard-leftist indoctrination on racism and privilege infecting training in the armed forces.

The wokifying of the U.S. Armed Services is one of the issues at the center of debate amid national conversations on critical race theory (CRT) in the classroom and other areas. The country received a hint about what was to come when President Joe Biden appointed General Lloyd Austin as secretary of defense. Shortly after his confirmation, Austin declared that the military would be promoting diversity and inclusion in its ranks while rooting out “extremism.” Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) recently revealed what this new paradigm shift entails.

Crenshaw Spills the Beans

Several members of the Armed Forces have come forward anonymously to detail some new programs that have been implemented ostensibly to inject woke theology into the military. Crenshaw and other lawmakers set up a whistleblower line for soldiers to report on attempts to push hard-leftist ideas into their training. It appears the line is getting much use as of late.

Crenshaw discussed some of the statements made by soldiers on the whistleblower line. One instance involved soldiers being compelled to wear personal identification badges listing their race, ethnicity, social class, and other characteristics at a training in Fort Bliss. He said:

“Most soldiers do not believe that they are the sum of identity groups and it’s absurd that our military is instructing people to view themselves and others that way. In the SEAL teams, our bond is forged in large part by our common history, our ethos and our trial by fire training. We never asked each other for our social class or other identity groups, because that would be ridiculous.”

Another individual told the whistleblower line that training held at Patrick Air Force Base in Florida required soldiers to “experience and share a significant emotional event” in which they had to acknowledge their “privilege” and “racism.”

“According to the report, this was explicitly targeted towards white students and particularly white males. It was an assumption in the class that white people were racist and white males were racist and sexist. This assumes that you possess these character flaws and you are forced to confront your privilege and bias, again in front of your fellow classmates,”

Crenshaw said and continued:

“This places a huge amount of pressure to say something that you don’t believe at all. Did you have the audacity to claim that you’re not a racist, not a privileged bigot, well the instructor could fail you according to this report and instructor is judging you, and if they don’t like what you have to say, or don’t think it’s sincere, you risk damage to your career.”

Crenshaw noted that this is “actually a type of compelled speech, and certainly raises free speech concerns ” and told of another situation at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia in which service members were told to participate in a “privilege walk.” These individuals were instructed:

“If you are white, take a step forward. If you are a male, take a step forward. And so on through every possible point of privilege one might have, according to their intersectional hierarchy.”

Crenshaw pointed out that this type of exercise “literally creates manufactured divisions in an environment that requires comradery and puts down certain service members over others, not on merit, but on skin color or gender.”

How Will This Affect the Future Military?

Democrats and the activist media have downplayed the extent to which these Marxist ideas are being pushed throughout the U.S. Armed Forces. Indeed, some have mocked conservatives for taking issue with it. Even after the firing of a former Space Force commander who spoke out against the woke theology being injected into training, the left insisted that the push for diversity is meant only to combat racism in the military.

To put it simply, the left appears to be relying on deception rather than engaging in an honest discussion on the matter. However, it is likely that more whistleblowers will come forward to tell their stories. At some point, it will be nearly impossible to plausibly deny what is occurring in certain areas of our military. But will that stop them?
