Coronavirus in Perspective, Part VI

As I watch this coronavirus disaster unfolding, I'm flabergasted people are tolerating it, and legislatures aren't stopping it, but both are moving now.  Here's Ohio's reality.  Mike De Wine is a disgrace, the masks don't work and social distancing is a farce, all of which I will be addressing in another article.

As for Ohio, here's what we need to know.

Ohio and the CDC keep playing games with the numbers.  There are two numbers representing how many coronavirus infections that have been in Ohio, and how many died.  I will cover both, based on a population of 11,700,000.

The COVID-19 Dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (JHU) keeps a running total of deaths and proven infections.  As of 5:30 AM on June 29, 2020 here are the coronavirus rates of infection and the rates of mortality based on a worldwide population of 7,800,000,000 and an American population of 330,000,000 using this internet calculator.

Here are the results:

• Worldwide infections June, 2020, 17,619,378. Infection rate, 0.2%.  
• Worldwide infections now, 67, 250,219.  Infection rate, .08%.
• Worldwide deaths in June, 680,092. Mortality rate, 0.008%.  
• Worldwide deaths now, 1,539,559. Mortality rate .019%.
  
• Confirmed infections in June in the United States, 4,564,973. Infection rate, .05%.  
• Current confirmed infections, 14.799,499, Infection rate, .018%
  
• United States deaths in June, 153,378. Mortality rate, 0.04%. 
• Current deaths, 282,436.  Mortality rate, 085% 
• Ohio's confirmed cases in June were 42,767.  Percentage of infections. 0.3%.  "Probable cases" 46,127. Percentage of "probable" infections. 0.39%.
• Current confirmed cases 449,967.  Infection rate, 3.8%.
• Confirmed deaths in June, 2,497.  Mortality rate, 0.02%.   Expanded number, 2,735.  Mortality rate, 0.02%. 
• Current confirmed deaths, 6488, mortality rate, .055%. Guesstimated cases, 6959, mortality rate, .059%.

All substantial increases, why?

The rate has clearly been inflated by fraudulent reporting by as much as 25%.  We know they're cooking the books here, and misrepresenting them here, here, and it continues.  The "Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Robert Redfield,  acknowledged the number of COVID-19 deaths could be inflated where someone who had the virus actually died from something else, but it was recorded as a COVID death."  Others claim they may be off by 94%.  

That means the mortality rate in Ohio, if off by 94% (even at the higher guesstimated number of cases of mortality) the mortality number alone isn't 6959, but could be as low as 418, making the mortality rate, .003%. 

At 25% that number would be 5219 with a mortality rate of .04%, and it could be anywhere in between, but one thing is clear. These "confirmed" numbers are misleading, especially the rate of infection, which I will explain below. -

Again, and again, and again I emphasize the substantial difference between the infection and mortality rates of coronavirus and past virus attacks.

• In 1968 the Hong Kong flu killed over 1,000,000 people worldwide. Worldwide population in 1968 was 3,534,000,000. The mortality rate was 0.3%! America lost 100,000 that year, and morality rate was 0.05%.
• In 1957/58 the Asian flu, which originated in Guizhou, China killed up to 2,000,000 people in a worldwide population of 2,900,000,000 had a mortality rate 0.068%. America lost 116,000 people. The mortality rate was 0.07%. 

No one sought to shut down the nation then when the infection and mortality rates were higher. Why are we now?

This coronavirus is so deadly, we need to get tested to find out if we have it, and the amount of testing being done is historic.  Never in history has that happened, and make no mistake about this:  We've got this virus now, and it, as all these viruses that keep occurring, is with us forever.  Every year people are going to get sick from it and some are going to die, and as the years progress huge numbers of people who are tested will be tested positive.  So what? Let's get real! Let's face reality.  In the past Americans understood these infections are a part of life, and also understood this is a crap shoot, and Americans survived without destroying the economy, not to mention the other very negative impact all these restrictions are creating for society.  

As Don Sucher , in his article, Epidemics and mass panics, then and now, notes:

"I have seen similar viruses simply worked through. Nineteen fifty-eights, for instance, and even the H1N1 virus in 2009.Yes, people got sick, and yes, some died. But both were accepted as part of human life, thus human life continued." 

Having a huge amount of people testing will generate a lot of positive tests, which can mean a lot or it can mean nothing.  To give balance to all this Mike Shaw comes to the nation's rescue in his article, COVID-19 Panic Porn explaining how all this testing is misleading.  This scare mongering pandemic, the results, the numbers, the claims, the narrative and the actions are as corrupt and as fraudulent as this Presidential election.
