Media Collapse is Inevitable, and it's a Good Morning in America! CNN, Part X

This has been sitting in my draft file for a couple of months, so some of this goes back a ways, but, it's history, and history is everything as we're seeing the Pravda media dying on the vine.  The cartoon is from this past week and sums up just about everything anyone needs to know about CNN.  CNN excels in a number of things.  Lies of commission, lies of omission, personal attacks, smears, fear mongering, and censorship. 

CNN, The Most Trusted Name in News, claims they're the guardians of truth, and they will decide what's truth tolerating no dissenting views.  Like this time when James Fishbeck challenged views about federal spending the host threatened to cut off his mic, and free speech on Facebook isn't desirable, claiming there's no one saying there's not enough free speech on Facebook.  Really?  Another CNN lie.  

• CNN, MSNBC Use ‘Maryland Man’ Lie 506 Times, Conceal Garcia’s Illegal Status

The Most Trusted Name in News has been caught up in a lot of lies, and then have the nerve to say the really big problem is so many millions of people willing believe Trump's lies, none of which they bother to prove.  But they know Biden did not strand the astronauts Musk rescued, unfortunately for them the astronauts think differently.   The also know Joe Biden already fixed the border, and now Trump is just trying to take credit for all of it, and Trump no understanding about economics. 

And when the lies don't work, they resort to fear mongering.  If Trump purges these agencies, the Deep State bureaucrats are threatening to sell state secrets, including the CIA.  Yeah, and they'll end up in prison.  

Jake Tapper, who has been caught up in these lawsuits says,we're about to enter a period of deep fakes.   The Pravda media loves to smear people.  As in this case where a CNN Panel Tries to Smear Dan Bongino as not being qualified to be the number two man at the FBI, yet we've seen amazingly stupid people appointed to powerful positions, including the judiciary, by Joe Biden without a peep from CNN.   Bongino is a public figure and as a result of they can get away saying a lot about public figures.  But Sullivan doesn't apply to private citizens, such as Zachary Young, who they accused of corruption, and destroyed his business.

Fed-up Judge Savaged CNN Attorney in Network's Disastrous Defamation Case: 'This Isn't Kindergarten'- Along the way to CNN losing a major defamation lawsuit, the attorney representing the network received a blistering rebuke from the Florida judge overseeing the case. Zachary Young, who is a security consultant, sued the network alleging CNN “destroyed his reputation and business” by branding him an “illegal profiteer” who exploited “desperate Afghans” during a Nov. 11, 2021, report by the network’s senior national security correspondent Alex Marquardt on CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” Fox News reported.......

 5 billion in punitive damages would make CNN start sounding unbiased - I read with great satisfaction that the Florida jury in Zachary Young’s defamation case against CNN awarded him $5 million in compensatory damages before deliberating about punitive damages .........  CNN’s lawyers almost instantly reached an undisclosed settlement with Young, avoiding any colossal punitive damages (which can’t be discharged in bankruptcy court). I was profoundly disappointed........

 

BREAKING: Jury Finds CNN “Committed Defamation Against Navy Vet Zachary Young” Jurors began deliberating after closing arguments were made on Thursday in a defamation lawsuit against CNN. The deliberations continued into Friday after the jury remained undecided late Thursday evening.  ‘The Most Trusted Name In News’ Guilty of Defamation.

Then there's the consequences for all this vile behavior.  Mass Lay-Offs amid tumbling ratings, to the tune of hundreds of employees.  Why? Their lies have caught up to them and viewership is crashing.  They kept catering to left-wing terrorism to appease a dwindling audience, and just can't seem to understand why they lost those viewers. 

CNN’s Acosta: GOP Should Have ‘Flat Out Rejected’ Trump, in an interview with Brad Todd Acosta was on a role saying the Republicans should have "flat out rejected" Trump.  From Kevin McCarthy to Mitch McConnell he asks how could the Republicans left him be the nominee.  And of course we know he was just trying to help the Republicans.  Right?  Well, unlike the chicanery performed by the Democrats, he was chosen by the base.  And it gets better.  

Acosta has always been an obnoxious jerk, and CNN liked it, at least until their ratings started to crash, and then CNN banished TDS-Afflicted Jim Acosta to time-slot ‘Siberia.  So little Jimmy threatened to quit, and it appeared no one cared.  It seems clear, even to little Jimmy, his days at CNN were numbered and he left.  He's gone, Kevin McCarthy's gone, and Mitch McConnell now sits in back of the boat, and is meaningless to the Republican party.  But the man he insisted should have been rejected, Donald Trump, is still there and he "is" the Republican party now.  

But Jimmy, Mitch, and Kevin aren't alone.  And a lot of people will be following them out the door, as CNN is desperate and big names are involved including Wolf Blitzer.  Time is not on CNN's side, and I expect to see it sold are fire sale prices.

CNN has been tanking for years, it's continued existence is in question, and they're facing a major defamation fight with James O'Keefe they're most like to lose as the judge who ordered this case to be continued said:

"If you stay on the bench long enough, you see a lot of things. Still, I never thought I'd see a major news organization downplaying the importance of telling the truth in its broadcasts. But that is what CNN has done in this case."

 

If CNN had issued a retraction, which is what was originally asked of them, this could have been avoided, but they didn't because they deceived themselves into believing they could deliberately lie and get away with it by hiding behind the New York Time v. Sullivan decision, since actual malice is hard to prove, and it's long overdue for Sullivan to be overturned.

CNN has it's troubles, and the nation can smile.   At CNN they're going to chop hundreds, including network stars off the payroll.  

"If half the country has decided that Trump is qualified to be president, that means they're not reading any of this media, and we've lost this audience completely. A Trump victory means mainstream media is dead in its current form."..........The report cited Nielsen ratings for CNN, and also MSNBC, that revealed the networks' audiences have vanished. They're down by 40% or more. "Insiders told Puck the new round of firings will likely see on-air talent like them affected, as the network's new CEO looks to free up finances amid waning ratings," ............

In the midst of this Chris Wallace has decided to forego his seven million dollar a year salary in order to podcast.   Chris Wallace is leaving because "at 77, is eager to see what a transformed media environment has to offer, and neither he or his family want him to retire, and he wants more control over what he produces, which will be "unbiased".  Yeah right!  While I'm sure he's more than financially secure, it still comes down to this.  If he couldn't carry the freight at CNN, what makes him think he can carry the freight on his own.

Wallace, who CNN thinks is "one the the most respected political journalists int he news business" was hired at CNN to be their lead guy at CNN+ streaming service which lasted a month. 

• Even CNN’s Star Personalities Won’t Be Safe From Firings Amid Massive Ratings Drop-Off

One of the things I found interesting is all of a sudden we're seeing the worm turning on air.  In times past they made sure everyone was in lock step. No on dared dispute the leftist meme of the moment.  All over the Pravda media they played the bully boy making sure no one dared to defend conservative views, and big tech censored any one who did.  

All the panels were rigged, just like The View with one weak conservative and multiple mouthy leftists who interrupted and talked over the "conservative", constantly spewing out red herring fallacies in order to altering the subject at hand. 

But what happens when a bully has been shown to be a punk?  We're now seeing their own defending those they hate.  And even proclaiming their constant far left drum beat helped elect Trump.  Why?  Because they see the handwriting on the wall, and the bully is almost down and out.

Paraphrasing Daniel Greenfield:  "all this reflects the larger reality that most leftist organizations are interchangeable pieces of the same movement with the exact same politics who use different brands to appeal to different demographics."   For the media this is like an infectious communicable disease, and they're all collapsing together as a result.   Let's hope they continue on down that dark path.

The Civil War, with approximately 600,000 casualties, ended on April 9 with a decisive Union victory. On April 15, a war-weary President and Mrs. Lincoln, along with some guests, went to the Ford Theater to see My American Cousin and then…

Announcer: This is Counterfeit News Network. We interrupt our regular programming with a bulletin. We go to our CNN studio in Washington, D.C.

Anderson Blooper: Ladies and gentlemen, we have just learned that President Lincoln was shot. We take you outside Ford Theater, where the Secret Service is holding a news conference.

Secret Service Spokesman: …the hallway leading to the presidential box at Ford Theater was sloped, which is why we didn’t have anyone standing guard outside…

Anderson Blooper: We’ve been informed that the injured president, and we do not yet know how serious his injuries are, was transported across the street to the Petersen boarding house. Let’s first go to Dana Rash inside the theater.

Dana Rash: It’s mayhem as attendees wonder if they should wait for the show to continue or go home. Let me speak to some theatergoers. Sir, can you tell us what happened?

Attendee #1: The show was on, and then, suddenly, there was some activity up in the president’s box. We didn’t know if it was part of the show, but I kind of figured it wasn’t when Mrs. Lincoln started screaming, and there was blood on her dress.

Attendee #2: This guy jumped from the box to the stage and yelled, “Hands up! Don’t shoot!” and then ran off. But he was limping, so maybe he hurt himself in the fall.

Al Sharpton: No show, no peace! If you feel discriminated against because you paid to see My American Cousin and the show was stopped after President Lincoln was shot, please contact me.

Dana Rash: Back to you, Anderson.

Anderson Blooper: Thank you, Dana. The crowd is growing in front of the Petersen boarding house, where we’re awaiting word on President Lincoln’s condition. But first, let’s go to John Queen for an analysis of what this means for the 1868 presidential election.

John Queen: Thank you, Anderson. If President Lincoln survives, this could give him an edge should he decide to seek a third term. However, if he dies, the edge goes to his vice president, Andrew Johnson, who would quickly be sworn in as president.

Anderson Blooper: Good analysis. Thank you, John. It’s been less than 30 minutes since President Lincoln was shot, and we have some polling data to report.

Harry Beaten: We polled 760 likely voters. Seventy-two percent said that if Lincoln survives the shooting, they will probably support him in 1868. Another 19% are Never Lincolns. The remaining 9% are undecided.

Anderson Blooper: We are going back to the Petersen boarding house for an update.

Fake Tapper: The press secretary came out and said that President Lincoln was shot in the left back side of his head, about an inch to the left of the medial line of the skull, and at the level of his ear. She will circle back later with more details. Anderson, it sounds serious, but we are waiting for confirmation.

Anderson Blooper: On the phone, we have former General George McClellan, who was the Democrat party’s nominee in the November 8, 1864, presidential election. Thank you for joining us.

Gen. McClellan: You’re welcome, Anderson.

Anderson Blooper: President Lincoln won the election in an electoral landslide of 212-21 and 55 percent of the popular vote. What are your thoughts as your opponent lies seriously wounded from a gunshot to his brain?

Gen. McClellan: I was born into a middle-class family…

Anderson Blooper: …sorry to interrupt, General, but our Chief International Anchor, Christiane Awomanpour, just sent this wire. It reads: Ukraine needs more money. Do you want to comment?

Anderson Blooper: We are having technical difficulties and will try the general later. The Apprehensible Press (AP) is reporting that the lone gunman was the actor John Wilkes Booth. According to the AP, the military has several good leads and plans to shoot Booth dead before he can be held for trial and share details about what happened. There is a $100,000 bounty on Booth’s head.

In related news, Congresswoman Amanda O. Courtez of New York’s 14th District, which includes parts of Queens and the Bronx, has called for stricter gun laws. She told The New York Herald that the Second Amendment needs to be replaced with a green energy bill. AOC also said that climate change is the reason Lincoln was shot.

Let’s quickly go back to the boarding house.

Fake Tapper: The sorrowful crowd has grown since we last spoke to you, Anderson. They just issued a statement that the shot was fatal and President Lincoln will not survive.

Anderson Blooper: This is heartbreaking news as we seek to reunite the north and south of our nation and rebuild following the devastating Civil War. Let’s go to our panel to discuss the pros and cons of Lincoln being assassinated.

David Wheelrod: The next election is several years away, which gives Andrew Johnson ample time to forge his own post-war agenda.

Rosemary Temple: It will be interesting to hear what Never Lincolns say.

Coyote Blitzer: Once sworn in, President Johnson must get news of the Union victory to the Texas slaves. This will avoid adding a future federal holiday to the calendar.

Car Jones: Is there a conspiracy? Of the people in the Ford Theater tonight watching the play, how many have ever stayed at the Petersen boarding house?

Fareed Irving: Oy vey, this will affect corporations with “Lincoln” in their name.

Stock Jennings: History will show that Republican President Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves.

Everyone: Boo!!!

Mark Brown: Did He or Didn't He?

This week CNN has just about destroyed Lt. Gov. Mark Brown with allegations of a hidden life that have turned him from a hero to a pariah overnight, all of which he vociferously denies, and he's hired a legal firm to find and go after those responsible.  Normally I like to see how it all plays out before I publish anything on any subject I write about, especially with this kind of thing, since entirely too many prominent and powerful people have lead dual lives, with a public image, and private scandals.  If Trump releases Epstein's client list we may be in for shocks much bigger than this. 

But, when something comes out of the blue at the last minute before an election, i.e., an October Surprise, one has to seriously wonder if it's true, especially since all that he's being accused of so entirely contravenes all he's stood for all these years, which no one noticed in all this time, and even more so since the source is CNN, which is notorious for spewing out lies. 

Every week my friend  sends out her free widely distributed nationwide e-mail newsletter, Patriot Neighbors, dealing with all the issues facing the nation.  She also publishes comments, which actually can be viewed as articles contributed by others.  She leads into this commentary saying:

Let’s get him elected NC governor! Mark Robinson has been North Carolina’s popular lieutenant governor since 2021. In all that time, nothing has been said or written about Robinson and these dubious porn sites. But now America First Patriots are supposed abandon this Christian man of faith because of what CNN is reporting.

Here was the offering in defense of Brown by Mr. Guy Miller who actually lives in North Carolina:

The only person who even comes close to the level of seething antipathy being poured all over President Trump, is North Carolina Republican candidate for Governor, Mark Robinson. 

Hundreds of millions of dollars in campaign money have been flooding North Carolina, essentially all of it from out-of-state and even out-of-country, to smear and impugn this man. Most recent “evidence” against him is some mysterious unattributable posting just now discovered from over ten years back, which “sounds as if it could have been written by Robinson himself,” according to the hundreds of press reports.

In this magic post, which is said to resemble Mark Robinson’s “writing style,” he supposedly claims to be the “black Hitler” reincarnated who is demanding a return to black slavery and Nazi-ism. Mark vehemently denies all these accusations, but it makes no difference. Just doesn’t matter. He is a Republican, he is a black man who obviously refuses to remain on the Democrat Party plantation, he is a devout Christian, and he is bluntly outspoken against the evils growing more vile in our society. 

You couldn’t find a Republican candidate for governor in the country who inspires more venom and hatred within the Democrat Party and Big News Media and Big Tech. There is absolutely nothing they wouldn't say or do to completely destroy him, now and forever. 

So, as a result, just about everyone is abandoning him at this point. I have no idea where this is going, and I have no idea if it's true or not, but I'm publishing this defense of Brown anyway because the media has been a corrupt beyond belief, and when it comes to media corruption, CNN is one of the premier actors on that stage.   I hope this turns out in Brown's favor, and if it does, I hope he sues anyone involved in this for every penny they have, whether he's elected or not, and it this point, I'm not sure which way that will go. 
 

Media People are Arrogant, Overpaid, and Under Smart

When you read articles dealing with how much these news media talking heads are paid it just boggles my mind. Take Chris Wallace for instance. Talk about overpaid!

Chris Wallace left Fox News in a huff and signed a contract with CNN to be the point man on the cable network’s streaming service, CNN+. That venture lasted only days before the new owners pulled the plug, leaving the network stuck with finding some use for its expensive (“more than $6 million a year”) new employee. They came up with a Sunday evening interview program, titled Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace.”  As Radar Online reports, the results are dismal:.........

I don't know what his status is now, he might not be there any longer, but I stopped listening to him while he was still at Fox.  Here were my views at the time.

The fact is Chris Wallace is a loser because I think he's a duplicitous arrogant snot.  His salary is a loser because he's not drawing an audience of any size.  CNN is a loser because the new owners aren't aggressive enough in changing the direction of the network because I think they're not conservatives, they're liberals in sheep's clothing.  Otherwise they'd have come out and emphatically said the network was corrupted with leftist ideologues that were dishonest in their representation of the news and fired each and every one of their talking heads, along with the management people.  They didn't.  If this continues, and I think it will, CNN will be sold, at a bargain price, if it can be sold at all. 

Companies that deliver "news" have nothing to sell except their access to an audience, and they're fast running out of that asset.  Schadenfreude!

 

I would think they could get anyone to report over and over again leftist lies of omission, lies of commission, misdirection, obfuscation of facts, cherry picked facts, and logical fallacies pushed out of the myth making propaganda factories of the Democrat party, and for a lot less money. 

• Leftist Media Is Suspiciously Silent on the Hunter Biden Laptop Now That the DOJ Has Confirmed That It’s Real

Recently a CNN Host cut off a Trump supporter because she didn't like the truth about Jack Tapper, and then self-righteously declared on her show no one can criticize her colleagues.  Well, Jake Tapper isn't all that fond of the truth either,  as  Jake Tapper Also Pulled the Plug Mid-Interview With a Trump Official at CNN. 

CNN’s Jake Tapper, who was conducting the interview with White House Senior Adviser Stephen Miller, cut the conversation off after 12 and a half minutes, telling Miller he was spewing rhetoric solely to gain approval from the President. “There’s one viewer that you care about right now and you’re being obsequious in order to please him,” Tapper said. “I think I’ve wasted enough of my viewers’ time.” 

 

Now, I think this is worth thinking about.   What if Ole Jake, who has a Trump hating history, decides during the debate Trump has wasted enough of the viewers time and cuts off his mic?

• CNN’s Debate Co-Hosts Tapper, Bash Showed Open Bias Against Trump in Past Remarks - Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, CNN’s Thursday night presidential debate co-hosts, repeatedly showed nasty bias against former President Donald Trump during previous network remarks.............Tapper “hates Donald Trump,”......[here are the].....times Tapper attacked Trump with vicious claims.....[he even]...ran a segment about the alleged shape of Trump’s penis.
•  Yes America, He Said It! Tapper’s Past Pokes at Trump Renew CNN Bias Concerns on Eve of Debate
• ABC "newsman" George Stephanopoulos.....boasted to his liberal journalist friends that he will not continue with any interview with a Republican if they won't concede Joe Biden won in 2020........partisans like this man will pull a trigger if you suggest that the election was "rigged." You're not even allowed to suggest the media was unfair, or all the ballot rules were watered down for the pandemic.

Well, they may be able to cut off anyone they wish on their shows, and spew out their hate for Trump, including ridiculous claims and outrageous lies, but the world is evaluating and criticizing the nitwits at CNN and as a result they're losing audience (here, here, here), massively, and at the rate they're they're going I think they'll be out of business soon, and then we will see just how much they're going to be worth in the unemployment line.   It would be interesting if their conduct during the debate exacerbates those losses. 

 

This isn't just a problem in the electronic media.  The Washington Post is having an ongoing a cry baby hissy fit crisis, for which America can be grateful.  They went on strike.  This is a paper that's had to lay off 240 people in 2023, because they're losing subscribers like water through a sieve, and it gets better all the time. 

 

Recently it was announced WaPo lost 77 million dollars, and changes were going to be made.  Of course the reason they losing money is because, according the the employees, there are too many white people in charge.  Not their work, like the lies listed in this article.  And they revolted over the pick of Rob Winnett....a white man.... and won.

 

Steven Hayward posted this piece, Media Free-Fall Continues saying:

The news over the weekend that Washington Post editor-designate Rob Winnett will not assume the job after a staff revolt inside the money- and reader-losing paper ratifies Andrew Sullivan’s famous thesis from a few years ago that “we all live on campus now.” Media organizations now resemble self-governing college faculties, with the same result.

I got to thinking how little I use my online Washington Post subscription any more, even for opposition research (which is why I still subscribe to the NY Times online), so I canceled it this morning. It is not even worth reading to keep up with leading leftist opinion and fake news coverage.  And so the collapse of media institutions continues:

This is a paper that lost 77 million dollars last year, and the management is intimidated by the employees.  Imagine that.  Do they really want CNN and WaPo fixed?  Forget it, you can't fix stupid, especially when stupid is compounded by invertebracy. 

There was a time when Walter Cronkite would declare, "And that's the way it is", and the world accepted that.  No longer, and as time is the great leveler of truth,  we now know Walter Cronkite was a fraud, just like Dan Rather, Mike Wallace, Tom Brokaw and the rest of that media cabal.   

History is everything, and we've come to a fork in the road and it's time to ask yourself, who do you think really represents a stable society? Who do you think represents an organized society? Who do you think represents policies for long term stable economics? Who do you think defends real personal freedoms? Who do you think represents law and order? Who do you think represents tyrannical government control over everyone's lives?  

Finally....who do you identify with, and who do you trust with the news?  Nuf Ced?

Disgraced CNN Hits All-Time Weekend Ratings Low

CNN, a far-left propaganda outlet that spreads conspiracy theories and violence, hit an all-time weekend ratings low. The New York Post:

Ratings-challenged CNN hit rock bottom in a key viewership demographic last weekend — another sign of the difficulties facing incoming boss Mark Thompson. The cable news network logged its worst weekend ratings on record in the all-important 25- to 54-year-old demo, according to the latest Nielsen data released Tuesday. CNN — which launched in 1980 and bills itself as “the most trusted name in news” — totaled just 55,000 viewers for its weekend slate of shows that include Sunday political programs “State of the Union with Jake Tapper and Dana Bash,” and “Fareed Zakaria GPS.”

Even CNNLOL’s weekend primetime shows, The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper and Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, attracted only 43,000 demo viewers. These are the worst ratings since 1991, which is as far back as ratings data is available..........To Read More...

So C"N"N (the Cable "News" Network) and the "January 6th Committee" didn't pass bags of cash to each other in front of the cameras on live television... and somehow that makes Americans incapable of seeing the blatant bribery of an American elected official and a major "news" organization?

Sure, Adam Kinzinger landing a job at CNN as he crosses the threshold exiting the Capitol for the last time technically means he wasn't working for CNN and the good folks of Illinois at the "same time" and therefore did nothing "illegal"...

...but how does this transaction not qualify as a bribe?  Seriously, it's a two-way payoff.  CNN is getting a barely "former" U.S. congressman who was on the committee that went after their favorite boogeyman, and a congressman who recently sat on a committee that helped CNN continue their favorite witch hunt is getting what we can assume will be a disproportionately large salary (as he will be a "senior" political consultant) in a "job" that will keep his face in the public eye. This transaction, while "legal", is the very definition of quid pro quo.

My Take - Chris Wallace is a loser because I think he's a duplicitous arrogant snot.  His salary is a loser because he's not drawing an audience of any size.  CNN is a loser because the new owners aren't aggressive enough in changing the direction of the network because I think they're not conservatives, they're liberals in sheep's clothing.  Otherwise they'd have come out and emphatically said the network was corrupted with leftist ideologues that were dishonest in their representation of the news and fired each and every one of their talking heads, along with the management people.  They didn't.  If this continues, and I think it will, CNN will be sold, at a bargain price, if it can be sold.  

 

Companies that deliver "news" have nothing to sell except their access to an audience, and they're fast running out of that asset.    Schadenfreude!

Remember the time the media justified the feds investigating, entrapping, eavesdropping and arresting Trump associates based on a bunch of nonsense assembled by a former British secret agent working for the Clinton campaign? Don’t worry, this time it’ll be different.

Or how about when a senile former FBI boss was dragged out of retirement to serve as the public face of a team of Democrat prosecutors who ran an “independent” investigation of Trump for two years that turned up absolutely nothing? Probably not this time.

This time there are nuclear secrets at Mar-a-Lago which actually turned out to be a pardon agreement, expired passports and Melania’s unmentionables. Who could have seen that coming after this long history of entirely trustworthy political hit jobs disguised as investigations?

Democrats, their media and their media’s contracted experts tell us we should trust the DOJ, the FBI and the same folks who have been pulling some variation of this scam for the last six years to know what they’re doing when they set out with a search warrant empowering them to grab every single box at Mar-a-Lago, every administration record and anything else they want.

In America, the public is supposed to distrust the government and the government is supposed to trust the people. In D.C., the government doesn’t trust the public, but tells the public to trust the government. And who wouldn’t trust an investigation based on a secret affidavit that can’t be released because then the public might find out it’s as legit as Steele and Mueller?

If you can’t trust hacks pulling a political hit job before an election, whom can you trust?

Peter Strzok, the former FBI agent who was fired for attacking Trump even while he was supposed to be investigating him, told MSNBC that, "the American public should trust what the FBI is doing." If you can’t trust a disgraced former FBI agent obsessed with destroying Trump to assure you that his compadres are running an honest investigation, whom can you trust?

Last year, Strzok also insisted that, "there was never an FBI investigation of the Trump campaign". A year of investigations, informants, FISA warrants never happened. Much like Strzok’s affair with a colleague, his political biases, and his post-disgrace career as a professor at Georgetown University teaching counterintelligence theory also never happened.

Not only did we lie to you a thousand times over, but we’re still lying to you right now.

Trust us.

The media, which is trusted by 11% of Americans, tells them that they ought to have faith that Joe Biden, whom even 75% of Democrats don’t want to see in office anymore, and his political appointee, AG Merrick Garland, who got the job as a consolation prize for not getting a SCOTUS seat, probably know what they’re doing by going after a potential 2024 opponent.

They do. What they’re doing has nothing to do with the words coming out of their lying mouths.

But we have to focus on what really matters.

Rep. Adam Schiff wants to replace Pelosi. A whole bunch of retired Obama appointees who ran the CIA, FBI, NSA and some other three-letter words into the ground need CNN contracts. The media has lost millions of readers and billions of dollars. It’s shedding jobs faster than Chinese mask makers and CNN’s entire viewing audience can fit in the back room of a 7-11.

Only Trump can save them now. Or at least another Trump investigation.

We’ve all been through this. The Trump investigations are the Marvel movie franchise of politics. They’ve been around forever and after all that time and energy, they never go anywhere. The purpose of the investigation is the investigation. The changing charges are a pretext for perpetuating a political witch hunt. The promises of a takedown flicker out like the old Mueller votive candles. And yet the true believers are still convinced that this time it’ll be different.

Trust us. That message isn’t there for Republicans who haven’t trusted the media since 1972. It’s not there for the independents who never trusted the media. It’s there for the Democrats who still believe what CNN tells them. And they’re holding on for the endgame that never comes.

Children born when the Democrats first began investigating Trump on various charges that have all since fallen apart are now first graders. An entire generation was born and is now being groomed by woke preschool teachers to think that they’re the opposite of whatever sex they were born while the Steele dossier and the Mueller investigation added up to nothing.

They will at this rate grow up, go to worthless colleges that will saddle them with seven-figure debts, get jobs installing solar panels or teaching equity to squirrels, and grow old while the Democrats conduct another investigation and another FBI raid on Trump’s tomb.

There’s never going to be a trial because those require evidence. Court cases have much higher standards than impeachment proceedings where Jamie Raskin can pound the pulpit, wave his arms and know that it doesn’t matter because the vote will split down party lines.

Unlike his associates who lack the resources to spend years fighting a federal investigation, and plead out to end the torture, Trump has the money and the lawyers to play the game. And that’s why there can’t be an actual trial. There will only be the perpetual investigation. Interlocking teams of Democrats at the federal and state levels will generate and juggle investigations.

The only thing any of those investigations will do is generate more investigations.

Like generals still refighting the Vietnam War, Democrats have tried to ‘Nixon’ every single Republican president and haven’t brought one single one down since 1974. The investigations of Reagan, two Bushes, and Trump wasted enough money to clone Biden some real hair. Impeachment resolutions have been introduced against every single Republican president since. Rep. Henry B. Gonzalez, who spent almost 40 years in Congress, launched impeachment proceedings against Reagan and Bush. If he were still around, he’d be thrilled.

The difference is that the investigations are now permanent. They begin before a candidate even runs, follow him through his time in office, and hound him after he leaves. Trump was the first target of the permanent investigation. He won’t be the last. The permanent investigation is government opposition research. It interlocks directly with political campaigns, whether those of Hillary or Biden, and feeds material back and forth between government investigators and campaign hacks. It takes out their allies and aides to weaken them.

This isn’t a criminal case. It can be a counterintelligence investigation, a fishing expedition for process crimes and procedural violations that never finds a justifiable original crime. The one thing it can’t produce is an original crime that justifies the original investigation. That’s also why the investigation has to be permanent. If it were to ever end, there would have to be a reckoning. An endless investigation however always holds out the promise that one day there will be something. The fraudulence of the endless Trumpgate is why it can never end.

Possibly the Worst Person Ever

Everyone knows someone who is just awful – horrible to the people they date or their friends or strangers, the elderly, children, animals, whatever, or some combination of all of them. We usually remove them from our lives as quickly as possible, but sometimes we can’t. Sometimes, no matter how terrible they are you have a friend who still likes them or a family member who still dates them. You don’t seek them out, but you can’t rid yourself of them completely either. I’d imagine that’s how Ana Navarro’s family feels about her.

Navarro is a horrible creature. Honestly, how she lives with herself isn’t that big of a surprise – those people I described above live with themselves without issue. The real question is how anyone else lives with them. 

Last week, after the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, Navarro, who hilariously describes herself as a devout Catholic, let her inner CNN show when she expressed outrage over the decision. She said she’s a “Catholic in church,” whatever the hell that means, and presumably a pile of hypnotical human garbage outside church. That last part is required to maintain a CNN contract and to get on The View.

In the course of her rant, Navarro lamented that her parents hadn't aborted her brother because he has special needs and the childless Ana views him as a burden. ...........To Read More....

 My Take - I gets worse as you read this, and her husband is allegedly a conservative activist.  But here's the thing, the difference between her and most of the media is she's openly disgusting.  I guess that's a plus? Maybe?  

One more thing.  What is it with these "devout Catholics" on the left who openly support policies that are condemned by their religion?  This is America, you can believe what you please, but if you oppose the teachings of your religion you're not a "devout" practicer of that religion.   

Why is that so hard to understand?  The answer to that is easy.  They're heretics attempting to justify their heresy, having sold themselves for 12 silver pieces.   

 

CNN: A fallen idol, a suppurating stew of bawl-babies, and high-school schemers

It's been nearly a week since CNN's top executive, Jeff Zucker, got the boot, supposedly over a longtime affair with a subordinate, and the bawling through the ranks hasn't stopped.   Here's how bad it is, according to website Puck, apparently an industry-insider blog, spotted by Ace at Ace of Spades:.........

 

Grieving process? Shockwave? Mental health? Incredibly destabilizing and unsettling? Death penalty? Throw in "threat to democracy" as has been stated elsewhere and this is starting to sound like the apocalypse to these clowns............

Obviously, this guy Zucker, the big fallen Goomba-Goomba cult idol, wasn't this bottom-ranked network's boss or leader, he was really their best friend forever.  Ace has some trenchant observations about what that amounted to:

Chris Wallace, Jonah Goldberg, CNN, Jeff Zucker and Moral Clarity

On February 6th Paul Bois posted this piece, Report: Chris Wallace Upset over Jeff Zucker Ouster at CNN, Uncertain About His Future saying:

Former Fox News anchor Chris Wallace is reportedly “irate” over the ouster of CNN president Jeff Zucker and now feels uncertain about his future at the network.  Speaking with Radar Online, a TV insider said Wallace has been “second-guessing his decision” to leave Fox News for the upcoming CNN+ streaming platform in the wake of Zucker’s resignation for his undisclosed affair with his subordinate, Allison Gollust. “Chris is the type of person who makes it known if he doesn’t like something,” the source told the outlet. “He went over there for Zucker and now Zucker is gone. Wallace feels that he has been stiffed. He’s got no staff, no Executive Producer and the guy he gave up a prized gig for has just walked out the door.”............Wallace has no protection. ...............“I am thrilled to join CNN+. After decades in broadcast and cable news, I am excited to explore the world of streaming”

And he's all upset now.  Schadenfreude, Zucker was the guy who ran CNN into the ground over the last nine years.  This is the guy he praises!  Well, let's face it, Wallace is a self-absorbed arrogant snot who somehow thought he was really special, and better than all the others at Fox, all of whom were beneath him, including the audience who watched Fox, but fewer and fewer watched him.  He's even worse than his father.  

And now it turns out another arrogant snot, Jonah Goldberg, along with Steve Hayes who left Fox is going to NBC, acting like great moralists as they marched out from Fox claiming Fox's Patriot Purge series was:

 "a collection of incoherent conspiracy-mongering, riddled with factual inaccuracies, half-truths, deceptive imagery, and damning omissions” ..........."the release of 'Patriot Purge' wasn’t an isolated incident, it was merely the most egregious example of a longstanding trend."....accusing them of amplifying "the false claims and bizarre narratives of Donald Trump" for the past five years.

So he went to CNN for moral clarity?  

CNN, a network that's totally recognized (outside the leftist echo chamber of irrational head nodders) for lies, conspiracies, misinformation and blatant Democrat and leftist partisanship, so they left Fox because these two think CNN and NBC are more "honest and moral" than Fox?  Do I understand that correctly?

Yet the nation is watching Fox and abandoning CNN, so what does America see these false conservatives don't?    Do these people live in an alternate universe? 

"Fox News ratings have dominated for a remarkable twenty years.  It is actually CNN that festers in an alternate universe awash with toxic radiation; in fact, the network is imploding into a fake news black hole".  

Or, are they nothing more than false conservatives who are in reality leftist hypocrites?

I read Goldberg's book Liberal Fascism and was totally impressed.  I don't know what happened to him after that, but he's lost his mind, and his audience.  Will leftists embrace him?  Maybe, but being embraced by the left is like being embraced by a bone crushing anaconda. 

Now it's being reported that there's an effort to pay hush money to Chris Cuomo to the tune of $9 million, presumably to prevent more exposure of what Zucker and CNN have been up to.  So while attempting to attain the moral high ground and "graciously" acknowledging:

"Fox News still does real reporting, and there are still responsible conservatives providing valuable opinion and analysis," they wrote. "But the voices of the responsible are being drowned out by the irresponsible."

And just who are these "irresponsible" voices on Fox?  Most likely he's referring to Hannity, Carlson, Ingraham and Janine Pirro, all of whom are all very outspoken conservatives and who keep being shown to be accurate and correct in their views.  Truth and Time are on the same side, and they're carrying the day with America, Chris Wallace and his views are going to become meaningless. 

Okay, so let's take a look at the network Wallace and Goldberg joined over moral considerations.  

On February 5 John Nolte published this piece, CNN’s Pantheon of Creeps, making a great comparison between them and the people at Fox for moral clarity, and we already know about Zucker and his mistress, to then we have Jeffrey Toobin who was caught masturbating on a Zoom call. Allison Gollust, Zucker's paramour who rose right to the top (but it wasn't because she was sleeping with the boss) while both were married to other people.  

Then there's Chris Cuomo who Nolte describes in this way:

Chris Cuomo, the dilettante little brother of Andrew Cuomo,  encouraged political violence, physically threatened his critics, grabbed a woman’s ass, sought to destroy the credibility of his brother’s dozen or so accusers, ran around New York while infected with COVID (when New York was Pandemic Ground Zero), lied to CNN viewers about remaining in his basement quarantine, staged a phony exit from that basement quarantine, and was repeatedly caught not wearing a mask after shaming others to wear masks. 

Don Lemon is accused of "stuffing his hands down his pants and shoving his stink-filled fingers under a man’s nose" and  Michael Avenatti, who CNN promoted over and over again is now a felon for his criminal activities.   Then there's John Griffin, a former producer at CNN.  He's facing "sex-trafficking" charges involving minors along with anther former producer, Rick Saleeby, who has been accused of having sex with a minor. 

Then there's Andrew Cuomo who CNN worked to cover "up his scandals, demonized his critics, and blatantly sought to mythologize him into a 2020 presidential contender. Then, in August of 2021, it all came crashing down when Cuomo was forced to resign after an investigation by New York’s attorney general (and fellow Democrat) found that he sexually harassed 11 women.

And this is the network these people are going to for moral clarity!

Zucker and Schadenfreude

There's been a load of schadenfreude over CNN Chief Jeff Zucker resigning, or being forced to resign, this week, and I have no doubt it's justified.  It's been a bad week for leftist media this week, and everyone seems to be joyfully telling the story about him being called to task because:

As part of the investigation into Chris Cuomo’s tenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have worked with for more than 20 years. I acknowledged the relationship evolved in recent years. I was required to disclose it when it began but I didn’t. I was wrong. As a result I am resigning today.

Really?  C'mon man, do you really believe that's it?  

This is a network that seems awash in sex scandals.  Think about this:

Chris Cuomo was apparently a long time sexual harasser on the job and it took a long time to do anything about it. "Jeffrey Toobin was caught masturbating on a work Zoom call" and he's still on the air. "Two CNN producers are implicated in sex crimes involving children. The first, John Griffin, is charged with trolling underage girls for sex. The second was a producer for Jake Tapper’s basement-rated show."  "On top of all that, CNN anchor Don Lemon has been credibly accused of a sexual assault and remains on the air, despite a viewership that regularly dips below 500,000."

But Jeff Zucker destroyed CNN with his arrogance, extreme leftist delusions, lies, misinformation, anti-Trump conspiracy claims and his network's open embrace of leftist "political violence against the right and encouraged riots in predominantly black neighborhoods."

There's more to this Jeff Zucker story that's not being covered in my opinion.  Think about this.

• First, this wasn't any secret tryst.  Everyone knew about it, it was an "open secret".
  
• Second, these were two consenting adults who decided to violate their vows of fidelity to their mates, destroying their marriages in order to have this affair. No one was being forced! I have to seriously wonder at her taste in men, but that's another story, and maybe not a pretty one.
  
• Third, his paramour is still working there.  If this was such a big deal, why hasn't she been fired or forced to resign?
  
• Fourth, there are new owners at CNN and want to change the network's direction, but just like Biden doubles down on his failed policies, I'm convinced he was fighting the new owners, and was going to ignore the new owners instructions and double down on his stupid policies.  It's my view Zucker is an absolutely arrogant jerk, with a big ego and a bad attitude, and he's an incompetent lefty, and they wanted him out and weren't going to put up with him.  

This wasn't about sex, it was about competence, and media corruption.   This was the new owners way out to getting rid of him, and since there is a morality clause in their contracts, they can fire him for cause and not pay him off.   So he resigned.  Now, I think that's the real story.......... with a caveat. 

 

Think about this.  He resigned, he wasn't fired! They must have given him the option and he chose to resign instead of being fired.  Why?  It's my understanding he had an unfulfilled contract, and if they had fired him it could end up on court, but he resigned instead.  Why?

 

Here's the questions that should be asked.  

• Did they secretly agree to pay him off?  If so, that's the end of the story.   
• If not, the story continues and one has to wonder: 
• Do they have a lot more on Zucker?
• If they do, what is it?   
• What could he have done that was so bad it would get him to acquiesce so easily and quickly, and go quietly into the night.

Power corrupts and leftist media power corrupts in sick, sexually perverse ways

In 1980, Ted Turner, a visionary no matter what else you think of him, launched the Cable News Network, the first 24-hours-a-day news show. Although we’ve since learned that most people in the media going back at least as far as the 1960s were leftists, they mostly played it straight. You could rely on CNN. When Jeff Zucker became CNN’s president, however, he decided to make it a partisan outlet, which worked to CNN’s benefit during the Trump years. With Trump gone, CNN is collapsing and, not only are the rats getting fired, but we’re also discovering that they are disgusting, perverse, unprincipled rats.

I don’t need to tell you what a cesspool CNN has been in terms of “news.” It’s been a cheerleader for every piece of garbage the media has generated, whether it was pro-Obama, anti-Trump, pro-Russia-hoax, pro-Biden, pro-Fauci, pro-lockdowns, pro-vaccine mandates, or any other piece of fake news that the Democrat class has needed in order to advance its power over American politics.

CNN Couldn’t Fire Jeffrey Toobin for One Simple Reason

It really takes some balls to, er, I mean guts, to show your face again after being caught on a company Zoom call pleasuring yourself. Most people wouldn’t do it, but then most people wouldn’t feel the need to drop trou in the middle of a work event and take care of business, then actually do it in that same room. If people did, they’d likely be smart enough to leave the room with the camera attached to the computer on which they’d just been talking to everyone they work with only moments before the frisky coffee break. He had an affair with the daughter of a colleague at CNN, got her pregnant, tried to bully her into getting an abortion, denied paternity, only changing his tune when DNA left him no choice, all of which embarrassed his wife beyond anything…until that Zoom call.)..............

 

Even though we live in a world where accusations are enough to be people fired from every job they hold, even if the accusations are from another job or an old job, CNN kept Toobin because to fire him for this obvious fireable offence would be to impose some level of standards on employment at CNN. And standards, no matter how low, are not something anyone at CNN can meet.

The Whiteness of Woke

“If You're Not Outraged, You're Not Paying Attention” the bumper stickers on a thousand SUVs in the upscale bedroom communities of dysfunctional cities read. “Deutschland Erwache,” the National Socialists used to shout in the streets of Munich. Woke compresses it all to one word.

Wokeness means believing that politics is all there is to life. And nothing is whiter than that.

Those minorities who form the backbone of the activists and voting blocs of identity politics don’t care about politics. Identity politics is politics to white wokes and identitarianism to minorities. Critical race theory is only a theory to white people. To everyone else, it’s tribal hatred.

Political theories are abstractions. Tribal identity is very real. Wokeness is concerned with getting white people to buy into tribal identity as a political abstraction rather than a real force.

White wokes turned race into the abstraction that is whiteness. What is whiteness? It’s unconscious cultural habits and ways of thinking. The notion that race is a set of ideas rather than a tangible reality would be vocally denied by both white and black racial identitarians.

The consequence of race as an abstraction is the transracial idea that minorities can become infected with internalized whiteness and the spread of multiracial whiteness. If minorities can become white, it follows that white wokes can become minorities by shedding their whiteness.

Whiteness is a racial consciousness, but based on Marxist power relations, not blood and soil, or genetics, let alone the crude resentment of the ‘other’ that lurks at the heart of raw tribalism.

Critical race theory hijacks racism and racial identity to replace it with Marxist theories.

White wokes use critical race theory the way that elites always used Marxist theories to compete with more successful people of their own upper class. Class warfare was never about the rise of the oppressed: Lenin was a member of the nobility, Mao’s father was a landlord and a money lender, and Castro was a wealthy law student whose father owned a plantation.

Critical race theory is designed to thin out the overproduction of elites. It’s a weapon against meritocracy by the same mediocre cliques looking for a shortcut in the competition. Executives force critical race theory into workplaces to shut down ambitious younger rivals. Suburban soccer moms of dumber kids go woke and push it into schools to even the playing field.

What's whiteness? As the Smithsonian Museum of African-American Culture's chart of "white culture" put it, whiteness covers everything from a serious work ethic to self-reliance, rational thinking, delayed gratification, achieving goals, being on time, and, finally, "competition".

Get rid of academic standards, intellectual seriousness, punish success, and the mediocre woke white elites who first created quota systems a century ago have much more of a shot at the top.

The inherent assumption of class warfare was that the proles were too backward to be a competitive threat. The racist assumption behind critical race theory is that black people can’t compete. If the wokes thought otherwise, they would be denouncing black people as racist the way that Asian-Americans and Jews are repeatedly accused of racism and privilege.

Being accused of group privilege isn’t an insult: it’s a backhanded compliment. Wokes pander to those groups they think of as inferior and attack those groups they see as competition.

White wokes embrace anti-white racism the way that wealthy white lefties championed class warfare. It’s not self-hatred, but hatred of more successful members of their group by enlisting those below them whom they don’t see as competitors to bring down more successful rivals.

But the identitarian racism they’re cultivating among minorities is not theoretical or hypothetical. And neither is the response among working class whites whom they once courted and abandoned. Racial consciousness may only be a theory to woke elites, but it’s not theoretical to the people they’re pitting against each other. Identity politics is only politics to elites, it’s identity to everyone else, and in a country losing the commonalities of religion and patriotism, it’s lethal.

Building a Marxist flavor of racism makes elites Marxists and everyone else racist.

Critical race theory is meant to force white people to see themselves as an ‘other’ and to legitimize the idea of minorities viewing white people that way. Whiteness studies as an academic discipline exists to ‘other’ white people and minorities who can be accused of suffering from multiracial whiteness on account of their success or resistance to dogma.

Otherness undermines empathy and ethics. It licenses everything from hatred to violence to genocide. The more we view people as less than human, the more likely we are to do everything from cut them off in traffic to steal from them and even kill them. National media narratives demand sympathy for George Floyd or Breonna Taylor while refusing to cover the victims of crime because critical race theory denies that they deserve sympathy or humanity.

Ideas have horrifying consequences and leftists have a long history of failing to understand the murderous implications of their self-serving abstract intellectualizations. Only when millions of bodies start piling up do they occasionally begin to wrestle with some sort of moral reckoning. And even then, the reckoning is quickly shelved before it ever really comes into being.

Some Communists turned on the Soviet Union after the Hitler-Stalin pact and the revelations of Stalin’s crimes. Fewer have accepted any kind of moral reckoning for the millions killed by Mao, or the Cambodian genocide, not to mention generations of massacres in Latin America. Nearer to our own time, you won’t find a proponent of Obama’s foreign policy who has even dared to suggest that the Arab Spring was a catastrophic disaster that may have killed a million people.

The body count for Black Lives Matter is estimated as at least 4,000 when you account for the massive increase in murder and crime rates. Most of those would likely be of black people.

Being recruited into a war of liberation by white wokes comes with a high body count. And the blood price isn’t being paid by corporations who sent out emails about George Floyd or sorority sisters holding up ACAB signs. Just as they’re not the ones who paid the price for the collapse of the family or the social structure of both black and white working class communities.

As F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote in The Great Gatsby, "They were careless people, Tom and Daisy—they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness." But there are fewer places to retreat to in a completely polarized society.

Elites retreat into abstractions. They buy a copy of Robin DiAngelo’s book and Zoom into the latest call of the white allies caucus at their workplace knowing that they may not be good at much, but they are good at undermining those who are actually good at something. But the rising tide of tribalism is not an abstraction for those for whom identity becomes humanity.

Woke is very white, but its vastness is illusory. The woke elites control corporations and institutions, but what woke is feeding isn’t abstract discrimination, but violent racism.

In California, an Amazon driver beat an older lady who asked her about a package. The minority driver had accused her victim of possessing "white privilege" before attacking her from behind. This is what critical race theory actually looks like outside the suburban bubble of social justice dinners and struggle sessions which, grueling as they are, are at least non-violent.

Last year, Amazon forced every employee to take diversity and inclusion training. Even as the Big Tech monopoly is looting the American economy by selling it out to China, it's doubled down on virtue signaling, promising to go 'green' by 2025 and building an HR infrastructure of 'equity'.

Amazon's new CEO Andy Jassy is a militant leftist who had previously ranted that, "If you don't hold police depts accountable for murdering black people, we will never have justice and change.”

The monopolistic tech giant subjects workers to Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) when it isn’t forcing them to urinate into cups. The speakers at a Big Tech CORE hate fest included BLM co-founder Alicia Garza, Farrakhan fan Carmen Perez, and Robin DiAngelo.

But critical race theory looks very different in the conference room of a monopoly trying to launder its destruction of the country’s economy so that its former CEO can go off into space by bringing in a few racism profiteers to berate managers about their white privilege than on the street where abstractions of whiteness give way to vicious beatings of elderly white women.

Beyond academic wokeness is the gritty racial identitarian reality of tribal violence and murder.

While Amazon and other Big Tech monopolies compete with each other on woke virtue signaling, and Robin DiAngelo adds another million to her bank account, people are being beaten and murdered in the streets of American cities. While Jeff Bezos and other woke elites go off to space, woke translates into tribal hatred and violence down here on earth.
