CNN has been tanking for years, it's continued existence is in question, and they're facing a major defamation fight with James O'Keefe they're most like to lose as the judge who ordered this case to be continued said:
"If you stay on the bench long enough,
you see a lot of things. Still, I never thought I'd see a major news
organization downplaying the importance of telling the truth in its
broadcasts. But that is what CNN has done in this case."If CNN had issued a retraction, which is what
was originally asked of them, this could have been avoided, but they
didn't because they deceived themselves into believing they could
deliberately lie and get away with it by hiding behind the New York Time
v. Sullivan decision, since actual malice is hard to prove, and it's long overdue for Sullivan to be overturned.
"If half the country has decided
that Trump is qualified to be president, that means they're not reading
any of this media, and we've lost this audience completely. A Trump
victory means mainstream media is dead in its current
form."..........The report cited Nielsen ratings for CNN, and also
MSNBC, that
revealed the networks' audiences have vanished. They're down by 40% or
more. "Insiders told Puck the new round of firings will likely see on-air
talent like them affected, as the network's new CEO looks to free up
finances amid waning ratings," ............
In the midst of this Chris Wallace has decided to forego his seven million dollar a year salary in order to podcast.
Chris Wallace is leaving
because "at 77,
is eager to see what a transformed media environment has to offer, and
neither he or his family want him to retire, and he wants more control
over what he produces, which will be "unbiased". Yeah right! While I'm sure he's more than financially secure, it still comes down to this. If he couldn't carry the freight at CNN, what makes him think he can carry the freight on his own.
Wallace,
who CNN thinks is "one the the most respected political journalists int
he news business" was hired at CNN to be their lead guy at CNN+
streaming service which lasted a month.
One of the things I found interesting is all of a sudden we're seeing
the worm turning on air. In times past they made sure everyone was in
lock step. No on dared dispute the leftist meme of the moment. All over
the Pravda media they played the bully boy making sure no one dared to
defend conservative views, and big tech censored any one who did.
All the panels were rigged, just like The
View with one weak conservative and multiple mouthy leftists who
interrupted and talked over the "conservative", constantly spewing out
red herring fallacies in order to altering the subject at hand.
But what happens when a bully has been shown to be a punk? We're now seeing their own defending those they hate. And even proclaiming their constant far left drum beat helped elect Trump. Why? Because they see the handwriting on the wall, and the bully is almost down and out.
Paraphrasing Daniel Greenfield: "all this reflects the larger reality that most leftist
organizations are interchangeable pieces of the same movement with the
exact same politics who use different brands to appeal to different
demographics." For the media this is like an infectious communicable disease, and they're all collapsing together as a result. Let's hope they continue on down that dark path.
Chris Wallace left
Fox News in a huff and signed a contract with CNN to be the point man on
the cable network’s streaming service, CNN+. That venture lasted only
days before the new owners pulled the plug, leaving the network stuck
with finding some use for its expensive (“more than $6 million a year”) new employee. They came up with a Sunday evening interview program, titled Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace.” As Radar Online reports, the results are dismal:................ To Read More....
My Take - Chris Wallace is a loser because I think he's a duplicitous arrogant snot. His salary is a loser because he's not drawing an audience of any size. CNN is a loser because the new owners aren't aggressive enough in changing the direction of the network because I think they're not conservatives, they're liberals in sheep's clothing. Otherwise they'd have come out and emphatically said the network was corrupted with leftist ideologues that were dishonest in their representation of the news and fired each and every one of their talking heads, along with the management people. They didn't. If this continues, and I think it will, CNN will be sold, at a bargain price, if it can be sold.
Companies that deliver "news" have nothing to sell except their access to an audience, and they're fast running out of that asset. Schadenfreude!
Former Fox News anchor Chris Wallace is
reportedly “irate” over the ouster of CNN president Jeff Zucker and now
feels uncertain about his future at the network. Speaking
with Radar Online, a TV insider said Wallace has been “second-guessing
his decision” to leave Fox News for the upcoming CNN+ streaming platform
in the wake of Zucker’s resignation for his undisclosed affair with his
subordinate, Allison Gollust.
“Chris is the type of person who makes it known if he doesn’t like
something,” the source told the outlet. “He went over there for Zucker
and now Zucker is gone. Wallace feels that he has been stiffed. He’s got
no staff, no Executive Producer and the guy he gave up a prized gig for
has just walked out the door.”............Wallace has no protection. ...............“I am thrilled to join CNN+. After decades in broadcast and cable
news, I am excited to explore the world of streaming”
And he's all upset now. Schadenfreude, Zucker was the guy who ran CNN into the ground over the last nine years. This is the guy he praises! Well, let's face it, Wallace is a self-absorbed arrogant snot who somehow thought he was really special, and better than all the others at Fox, all of whom were beneath him, including the audience who watched Fox, but fewer and fewer watched him. He's even worse than his father.
And now it turns out another arrogant snot, Jonah Goldberg, along with Steve Hayes who left Fox is going to NBC, acting like great moralists as they marched out from Fox claiming Fox's Patriot Purge series was:
"a collection of incoherent conspiracy-mongering, riddled with factual
inaccuracies, half-truths, deceptive imagery, and damning omissions” ..........."the release of 'Patriot Purge' wasn’t an isolated incident, it was merely the most egregious example of a longstanding trend."....accusing them of amplifying "the
false claims and bizarre narratives of Donald Trump" for the past five
years.
So he went to CNN for moral clarity?
CNN, a network that's totally recognized (outside the leftist echo chamber of irrational head nodders) for lies, conspiracies, misinformation and blatant Democrat and leftist partisanship, so they left Fox because these two think CNN and NBC are more "honest and moral" than Fox? Do I understand that correctly?
"Fox News ratings
have dominated for a remarkable twenty years. It is actually CNN that
festers in an alternate universe awash with toxic radiation; in fact,
the network is imploding into a fake news black hole".
Or, are they nothing more than false conservatives who are in reality leftist hypocrites?
I read Goldberg's book Liberal Fascism and was totally impressed. I don't know what happened to him after that, but he's lost his mind, and his audience. Will leftists embrace him? Maybe, but being embraced by the left is like being embraced by a bone crushing anaconda.
Now it's being reported that there's an effort to pay hush money to Chris Cuomo to the tune of $9 million, presumably to prevent more exposure of what Zucker and CNN have been up to. So while attempting to attain the moral high ground and "graciously" acknowledging:
"Fox News still does real reporting, and there are still responsible
conservatives providing valuable opinion and analysis," they wrote. "But
the voices of the responsible are being drowned out by the
irresponsible."
And just who are these "irresponsible" voices on Fox? Most likely he's referring to Hannity, Carlson, Ingraham and Janine Pirro, all of whom are all very outspoken conservatives and who keep being shown to be accurate and correct in their views. Truth and Time are on the same side, and they're carrying the day with America, Chris Wallace and his views are going to become meaningless.
Okay, so let's take a look at the network Wallace and Goldberg joined over moral considerations.
On February 5 John NolteCNN’s Pantheon of Creeps, making a great comparison between them and the people at Fox for moral clarity, and we already know about Zucker and his mistress, to then we have Jeffrey Toobin who was caught masturbating on a Zoom call. Allison Gollust, Zucker's paramour who rose right to the top (but it wasn't because she was sleeping with the boss) while both were married to other people.
Then there's Chris Cuomo who Nolte describes in this way:
Chris Cuomo, the dilettante little brother of Andrew Cuomo, encouraged political violence, physically threatened his critics, grabbed a woman’s ass, sought to destroy the credibility of his brother’s dozen or so accusers, ran
around New York while infected with COVID (when New York was Pandemic
Ground Zero), lied to CNN viewers about remaining in his basement
quarantine, staged a phony exit from that basement quarantine, and was repeatedly caught not wearing a mask after shaming others to wear masks.
Don Lemon is accused of "stuffing his hands down his pants and shoving his stink-filled fingers under a man’s nose" and Michael Avenatti, who CNN promoted over and over again is now a felon for his criminal activities. Then there's John Griffin, a former producer at CNN. He's facing "sex-trafficking" charges involving minors along with anther former producer, Rick Saleeby, who has been accused of having sex with a minor.
Then there's Andrew Cuomo who CNN worked to cover "up his scandals,
demonized his critics, and blatantly sought to mythologize him into a
2020 presidential contender. Then, in August of 2021, it all came
crashing down when Cuomo was forced to resign after an investigation by
New York’s attorney general (and fellow Democrat) found that he sexually
harassed 11 women.
And this is the network these people are going to for moral clarity!
Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace said that White House press
secretary Jen Psaki is "one of the best press secretaries ever" after
hearing her response to a question from Peter Doocey, the network's
White House correspondent, about President Joe Biden claiming that he
had been to the southern border.............."Honestly,
as somebody who’s spent six years in the White House, my immediate
reaction was, 'Those are two people at the top of their game.' ... I
think that [Doocy] has become the Sam Donaldson of this White House
press corps ... and Jen Psaki, I think, is one of the best press
secretaries ever," Wallace said Friday. "I don't know that anything was
particularly accomplished, but they both gave and got pretty good."......To Read More....
My Take - Reading the comments (556 of them) you realize most see Chris Wallace in the same light as do I. He's as big a disgrace as his father. One commenter noted Wallace was bi-lingual. He spoke English and Stupid, and that was one of the milder ones.
"........he doesn't invite on lawmakers who've questioned
the legitimacy of now President Joe Biden's victory in the 2020
presidential election. "I have purposefully not had them on, frankly, because I don't want to hear their crap"
He doesn't want to hear their crap? He says if they come on the show he'll put them through the wringer, yet Wallace, who is as dishonest a journalist as was his dad, is neither looking for truth, nor does he wish to see it. Like his dad and the rest of those "journalists" at 60 Minutes, they were always looking to promote their narrative of events, as they did with the Alar story.
The fact of the matter is to believe Biden was legitimately elected requires believing the unbelievable. But for intellectually corrupt hacks like Wallace, believing the unbelievable is one of the tenets of the Church of Wokeness, and to do otherwise is leftist heresy.
Although
Chris Wallace of Fox News declared that Biden’s inaugural speech was
“the best inaugural address I ever heard” in 60 years, I have to admit
to being less charmed. His slurred delivery, banal repetition, and
vicious edge just didn’t work for me. What can I say? I wasn’t his
target audience.
First,
lest you doubt me, Chris Wallace really did go all fan girl on Biden.
Mind you, we all saw this coming when he moderated the first debate.
Wallace doesn’t like Trump and, in the last year, he stopped trying to
hide it:
Fox
News' Chris Wallace: "Martha, I thought it was a great speech. I have
been listening to these inaugural addresses since 1961. John F.
Kennedy's 'ask not'. I thought this was the best inaugural address I
ever heard." pic.twitter.com/LVnziRqqEY
Second,
let’s talk about Biden’s delivery. To give him credit, he remained
upright and coherent for the entire 22-minute speech. I wasn’t sure he
could, so a big Bravo! for that. Now, before I get to my next point, let
me make it clear that I do not believe that Biden has
Parkinson’s disease, a tragic, progressive nerve disorder. I mention it
only because one of the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease is slurred,
flattened speech.
Listen to Biden, just four years ago, explaining how he got Ukraine to back off investigating Burisma:..........To Read More....
When will Chris Wallace
apologize to Katie Pavlich? More than once, Wallace has insulted his Fox
News colleague on the network, as in a January segment about the
impeachment of President Trump, when Wallace barked at Pavlich, “Get your facts straight!”
As it turned out in that case, Pavlich was right and Wallace was wrong —
and not accidentally so. The question at issue was Democrats’ demand
that the Senate trial over what was called “Ukrainegate” include
testimony from additional witnesses. Pavlich said this was
unprecedented, and contended it was not the Senate’s fault that “the
House did not come with a complete case.” Wallace began barking about
“facts” in an attempt to rescue Democrats from the consequences of their
failure.
Why did Wallace use his position as moderator of a presidential debate
to parrot Gov. Brown’s rhetoric by claiming that “white supremacists and
militia groups” were somehow to blame for the Portland riots?
Wallace’s dismal performance as moderator in Tuesday’s presidential debate reminded many viewers of such previous instances in which the Fox News Sunday
host has shown his prejudice against Trump. And this matters, not only
because of how that ugly televised carnival might affect the election,
but because of what it tells us about the sad state of journalism in
America. If Wallace is, Dov Fischer says,
“the fairest moderator we can hope for in today’s Left-dominated
media,” there is no hope for fairness. But what about those “facts” that
Wallace presumed to lecture Katie Pavlich about? Even if we must resign
ourselves to partisan prejudice from the media, must we tolerate
journalists trafficking in outright lies?.........To Read More.....
My Take - My views of Chris Wallace are similar, as I stated in this piece. You may wish to review my Chris Wallace files.
There is an abundance of destruction,
loss of life, and livelihoods resulting from so many riots burning down
major American cities controlled by Democrats. However, white
supremacists have not been identified as one of the groups responsible
for the carnage. At present, there is no evidence that white
supremacist groups are engaged in any high profile collective violence
in the country or toward the country.
So why did Presidential debate moderator Chris Wallace of Fox News
ask President Trump to condemn white supremacy? He could have just as
easily and with the same level of relevance asked him to condemn the
over hunting of whales in the North Atlantic or the high price of fava
beans?
Black Lives Matters and Antifa account for nearly all of
the violence tearing through the country. Yet, Wallace made it a point
to intimately connect Trump to white supremacist groups even though
there is no evidence showing any connection or affiliation between the
President and any hate groups, let alone any white supremacist groups............Hence, Wallace’s
insinuation is clear that there is some connection between white
supremacists and the looting of stores, the shooting of police, and the
killing of the innocent........Wallace knowingly perpetuated a dishonest media concocted connection
between Trump and white supremacists where, according to all of the
available evidence, no such relationship exists.
The irony is that although there has never been any
direct or indirect evidence that the President has any affiliation with
any white supremacy groups, it was recently argued by Biden’s VP pick,
Kamala Harris, that Biden’s school bussing policies were close to being
racist. That, along with many of his questionable statements over the
years regarding African Americans, should, according to the left, make
Biden a prime candidate for white supremacy. Yet, Wallace never
requested Biden also to renounce white supremacy during the debate.................To Read More.....

Puerile, Narcissistic, and Unprofessional? Well, he
learned at the knees of his father, Mike Wallace, Dan Rather and that
whole crew at 60 Minutes. As for the idea that she wouldn't have dared
to tell him and Sam Donaldson what questions to ask: Well if this little
snowflake faced Kayleigh McEnany he would have been put in his place,
and he would have taken it also! Big ego, bad attitude, and small
intellect.
As for Sam Donaldson, I have to wonder if he would have asked the
stupid questions these press secretaries are facing today. I have no
doubt Chris Wallace would have, but the fact is I've never thought he
was anything but a clever schemer with little historical background,
intelligence or integrity. And that was from his very early Fox News
days.
Some big names on the left have gotten by in the past, based on a
presumption of “pedigree and credentials” by which they vigorously
promote themselves. But as the current discourse in America heats up,
they reveal their true beings. And the picture isn’t pretty.
Chris Wallace of Fox News is one of those. With each passing day, he
and his kind are revealed to be disingenuous sources of leftist Democrat
propaganda, the epitome of Fake News. This past Sunday, in a whining
rant against White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, Wallace sank
to a new and truly pitiful low.........To Read More...

Hillary Clinton’s answer to moderator Chris Wallace’s opening question at the third Presidential debate has received a lot of attention. As many will know by now, when asked about the sort of Supreme Court justices she might nominate, Clinton said the Court ought to stand up to the wealthy and powerful and “represent all of us.”
Although it is worth noting the deep irony of her formulation, her sentiment in itself will probably strike many Americans as reasonable and unobjectionable. After all, who would want the court to serve the interests of the rich only? Every American should expect a fair hearing should they ever find themselves before the Court.
What if the law is biased in favor of the wealthy and powerful? What if the laws don’t recognize changing moral norms and societal standards? Shouldn’t the justices take all of this into consideration and represent all the people and reflect the will of the people in their judgments?
.....To Read More....
My Take - That's the problem with so many....they think it's the Supreme Court's responsibility to "represent" someone, or anyone for that matter. It isn't! It's the court's job to interpret the laws as determined by the legislature - the ones who actuality are supposed to "represent" the people who elect them - of every ilk. Solution? Repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments and add a 28th Amendment to create age and term limits for the federal judiciary.....and the Congress.
The ideological war between prominent Fox News channel program hosts that I first reported on eighteen months ago has gone hot – and this time the dust up is approaching near-nuclear levels of direct on camera mano a mano.................
The [prime time] opinion programming side of Fox is openly mocked in the halls of Fox by what they [the opinion programming hosts and staff] call “the so-called news division.”
The horrendous ratings of Chris Wallace and Shep Smith [Smith’s total viewing audience is about 50% of what the prime-time hosts pull in] show how out of touch they are with the Fox audience, and the general consensus is that both Shep and Chris should just pack up and go to work for MSNBC or CNN because the Fox audience hates their biased views.
One need only to look at Fox News election night [coverage in] 2016. They [Smith and Wallace] were absolutely and visibly stunned by Donald Trump’s victory.
And now the internal Fox News battle is joined anew. Stay tuned for further developments that are almost sure to come.............

Editors' note: "In the 1950s and early ’60s, Baltimore was booming," begins John Perazzo in his elegy and indictment of the ruin that the Democrats wrought. "In 1967, however, this prosperity began to vanish when the city government was taken over by a string of Democratic mayors."
“Black congressman, majority-black district. ‘No human being would want to live there.’ Is he saying people that live in Baltimore are not human beings?” Chris Wallace blathered on FOX News.
As John Perazzo demonstrates, people don't want to live there. Not since the Democrat machine - that Rep. Cummings is part of - ruined Charm City.............The victims of Baltimore's Democrat catastrophe invariably have been black people. This past week Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) uttered those words while appearing on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell. Mitchell followed up by pressing Coons for proof of his accusations, to which Coons replied that he had none.
Nevertheless, Mitchell didn’t proceed to excoriate the Senator for hurling such wild and unsubstantiated claims but simply let the moment pass and Coons’ commentary be left hanging in the media nether.

My Take - Two things. First, Chris Wallace did his job the way it should be done, which shows even a blind monkey can find a coconut. Secondly, I hate it when they use the McCarthy metaphor. McCarthy was right, and even then there was evidence communists had taken over key positions in FDR's government and effected policy that was beneficial to Stalin. All shown to be true in 1995 when the Venona Intercepts were released. Information both Truman and Eisenhower had to know when they were in the White House - both of whom condemned McCarthy. At least the author called McCarthy an "erstwhile warrior against communism", so he must have read a real history book or two. MeCarthy had lots of issues, but being wrong in this case wasn't one of them.
