Question to Cummings: Where did the Billions in Missing Federal Money Go?

President Trump went after purported congressional watchdog Elijah Cummings recently, slamming the Democrat congressman for failing to improve his troubled Baltimore, Maryland, district despite the inflow of billions of dollars in federal aid during and in the years leading up to Trump’s administration.

Cummings came to the attention of conservatives as he zealously defended the IRS throughout the Lois Lerner saga. Lerner is the corrupt IRS tax-exempt division executive who engineered the tax agency’s targeting of conservative nonprofits during the Obama administration. Cummings also apparently conspired with Lerner to sabotage True the Vote, a leading grassroots electoral integrity group. In 2012, Cummings falsely claimed the group would “do almost anything to stop people from voting.”

“Baltimore’s numbers are the worst in the United States on Crime and the Economy. Billions of dollars have been pumped in over the years, but to no avail[,]” the president wrote on Twitter July 29. “The money was stolen or wasted. Ask Elijah Cummings where it went. Democratic Corruption, Not Racism, Ruined Baltimore

President Trump was absolutely right to suggest Representative Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) spend more time in his home district in Maryland, which includes most of Baltimore. What credibility can Cummings have as chairman of a congressional oversight committee when his own city, Baltimore, is corrupt, crime ridden, and a testament to failed Democratic governance and failed oversight?

Where was Cummings, during his 23 years (and counting) as a congressman, as Baltimore became one of the most dangerous cities in America? And rather than launching a tweetstorm of commentary (mostly retweets, actually) accusing President Trump of racism, why doesn’t Cummings admit that Democratic politicians have failed Baltimore?............

King Elijah, along with the rest of the Democratic Party, are explicitly to blame for the destruction of the family, failed public education, and rampant crime that plague African Americans in Baltimore and other major cities.

If King Elijah truly cared about his constituents, he would call for a complete overhaul of welfare policies that provide benefits without sufficient preconditions, he would call for the abolition of teachers unions, and he would support the type of broken windows policing that rescued New York City.

Just ask the people who live in Baltimore

Back in the 1970s, I attended school in Maryland and spent a lot of time in Baltimore.  I was there during a charmed Renaissance headed by mayor and then Governor William Schaeffer.  He oversaw the investment and development of the Inner Harbor and all those residential areas that went up downtown.  It was wonderful, and going downtown was great.

Lately, it's not so pretty.  The city is a disaster and the one-party rule does not help.

President Trump is challenging Representative Elijah Cummings to do something about his district for a change.  As expected, President Trump is being called a racist for holding "sacred cows" like Representative Cummings accountable.

 House Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) warned Attorney General William Barr in a letter Thursday that if DOJ official John Gore doesn't obey his subpoena and testify before the panel, they are prepared to hold him in contempt of Congress. The DOJ had previously informed Cummings that Gore will not appear unless he's allowed to have an agency lawyer by his side.

“The Committee expects Mr. Gore to testify in accordance with the Committee's lawful subpoena and the Committee's rules,” Cummings wrote. “If Mr. Gore fails to comply with the subpoena, the Committee will consider him to be in contempt of Congress.”...........To Read More....

House Dems: We Want Fox News To Answer For...

House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) last month sent a letter to former Fox News host Diana Falzone asking for her to provide documentation about the conservative cable network's decision not to run reports about Stormy Daniels' alleged affair with President Donald Trump. Although Falzone has a Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA) with Fox, her attorney said NDA's exclude government investigations.

According to a report from The New Yorker, Falzone had specific details about Daniels' alleged affair with Trump and the amount he allegedly paid her to keep her quiet............There are so many things wrong with the Democrats' take on this. For one, they're launching investigation after investigation because they want to find something to run that makes Trump out to be a bad guy. The Russia probe proved to be one giant waste of time and taxpayer money so now they're seizing upon whatever they possibly can.................To Read More.....

My Take - The reality is no news organization has to explain anything to Congress as to why it publishes or doesn't publish anything about anyone or any thing.  Cummings has been a disgrace forever, and nothing has changed.  However, we need to thank Cummings and all the other members of the Club For the Galacticly Stupid for their actions.  They keep on being gifts that keep on giving, and many of them will be re-elected from their loony left districts as long as they wish.  What's disturbing is these dumb as dirt politicians are probably the brightest pebbles in the brook in their district. 

What We Learned from the Michael Cohen Hearing

Of all the contemptible episodes of political theater Congress has ever produced, Michael Cohen's seven-hour hearingbefore the House Oversight Committee is without precedent. Has there ever been a more seditious, mendacious, and just plain degrading spectacle?

While America's president was overseas conducting a nuclear disarmament summit with a hostile communist dictator, the new Democrat majority in the House used their very first hearing to undermine his credibility on worldwide TV.  Given the depraved character of modern Democrats, the hearing's circus-like atmosphere was predictable, but the timing of the event can be taken to mean only that they're more interested in impeaching President Trump than in avoiding a nuclear holocaust. That's a chilling realization............

Chairman Elijah Cummings has changed the name of his committee from House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform to just House Committee on Oversight and Reform.

Cummings and his committee show no intention of limiting themselves to the proper, constitutional role of government oversight. Instead, they are shifting gears to probe every aspect of Trump's business and private life — and that of his family and his associates — in order to impeach him or prevent his re-election.
