Israel/Hamas War Commentary: The Resistance

By Rich Kozlovich

One thing that's gratifying is there are those already resisting the insanity sweeping the world over this war, the propaganda, and the creepy people who are in support of all this.  Crises define people, issues, events, and that creates clarity.  Clarity incites understanding, and that understanding will demand solutions.

Another Big-Name Law Firm Has a Message for Pro-Hamas StudentsSpencer Brown -  Proving that, at least in some corners of the world, actions still have consequences, another big-name law firm has announced that it revoked job offers provided to law students after they signed on to pro-Hamas statements in the wake of barbaric attacks that saw more than one thousand Israelis slaughtered by the Iran-backed terrorists. The U.S.-based international law firm of Davis Polk & Wardwell — described by The Daily Beast as "revered" — said on Tuesday that it had revoked its employment offers to three law students from Harvard and Columbia citing the students' "contravention of our firm's value system" with their statements blaming Israel for the horror that befell its people.  "The views expressed in certain of the statements signed by law school student organizations in recent days are in direct contravention of our firm's value statement," Davis Polk & Wardwell said in a statement to Bloom......

University of Florida President Puts Other 'Leaders' to Shame on Israel and Hamas - Guy Benson- Our post yesterday was deservedly harsh toward the absolute cowards -- or worse -- running many of our country's institutions of higher learning.  The moral rot is widespread, and it's bleeding into lower levels of education, as well.  This should not come as a surprise, unfortunately, given the increased levels radical politicization of grade school education in this country.  It's also important to acknowledge and appreciate those who do the right thing -- rejecting equivocation, relativism, amoral both-sidesism, and gutless silence. One example is at BYU, where the administration lowered flags to half staff, in mourning and solidarity with Israel:

Billionaire wants Harvard to name students blaming Israel for Terror; CEOs Pledge Not to Hire Them - Alana Mastrangelo Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman is calling on Harvard to release the names of students that are members of groups that signed a pro-terror statement in response to the recent Hamas attacks against Israel, so that employers do not “inadvertently” hire pro-terrorist graduates in the future. “I have been asked by a number of CEOs if @harvard would release a list of the members of each of the Harvard organizations that have issued the letter assigning sole responsibility for Hamas’ heinous acts to Israel, so as to insure that none of us inadvertently hire any of their members,” Ackman revealed on Tuesday.

Israeli Billionaire Quits Harvard Board Amid Antisemitism ScandalOlivia Rondeau
An Israeli billionaire has pulled out of a Harvard executive board following the university’s botched response to the recent terror attacks on Israel by Hamas. Idan Ofer (pictured above), a businessman and philanthropist with a net worth of nearly $20 billion according to Bloomberg, and his wife Batia have quit the board of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government following the institution placing the “blame” on Israel......

It Begins: Wexner Foundation Cuts Ties with Harvard over Response to Hamas TerrorJoel B. Pollak The Wexner Foundation, a prominent North American Jewish philanthropic institution, has cut ties with Harvard University over its weak response to the massive terror attack by the Palestinian Hamas organization against Israel on Oct. 7, which killed 1,400. The Wexner Foundation has sponsored Israeli public affairs professionals to study at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government for decades. As its website states:

Why Do Liberals Love Hamas So Much? - John Nantz  |  Oct 17, 2023 - As reports of Hamas war crimes, inhuman atrocity, and medieval Muhammadist brutality continue to stream into our consciousness, a steady parade of terror apologists bugle their inveterate support for all things barbaric.   We’ve heard unimaginably callous statements from The Squad, Ivy League students, and the “social justice” organization BLM regarding the manifold cruelties perpetrated on Israeli citizens. Hamas swine have carried out their diabolical tasks with a relish not witnessed since the genocidal mania displayed by Hitler, Mengele, and Himmler.   Then, as now, the usual suspects have appeared to offer their heartfelt support for the forces of tyranny and homicide. The New York Times famously lent the considerable weight of its  commentary to the budding dictator and would-be second coming of Alexander the Great — Adolph Hitler. You’d have thought the Times learned a lesson with Adolph, but the Grey Lady’s sages swooned for the Iron Curtain and one of history’s most accomplished butchers, Joseph Stalin.
