Israel/Hamas War Commentary: Media

The media is filled with sewer trout, and have always been, the difference is it's now filled with treasonous sewer trout who have a moral compass that can't find north.  Is it any wonder why we see so much insanity being touted by them?  

Israel and the Media - Kari Lake Oct 21, 2023 - As a former journalist, I know well how those in the media can distort and manipulate a story to promote a chosen narrative. I also know that in the fog of war facts can be difficult to ascertain. But it is unacceptable that an entirely implausible narrative - that Israel deliberately bombed a hospital in Gaza - was pushed by Hamas, the American media broadcast that propaganda without any hesitation, or pang of conscience. The New York Times even went so far as to publish a photo of a destroyed building – one they knew wasn’t the hospital in question. 

That storyline, taken in, adopted, and republished throughout the Middle East, our college campuses, and by the typically anti-Israel progressives in Congress...........Bombing a hospital is a war crime. Students, professors, and members of Congress shouted that from every megaphone and microphone they could this week. But then the facts came out, and they couldn’t blame Israel anymore............ nobody in the media or on our college campuses, or seemingly anywhere else, is asking the most basic and fundamental of questions: why are Islamic Jihad and Hamas launching missiles anywhere, at anyone?.......

Musk Deletes Several Tweets After Promoting Pro-Hamas Accounts - Paul Bois 8 Oct 2023 - Billionaire and X owner Elon Musk deleted several posts on his platform after he promoted two accounts that had previously spread pro-Hamas rhetoric amid the attack on Israel.Over the weekend, during which the terrorist group Hamas attacked Israel, killing over 700 people, including civilians, Elon Musk promoted the accounts @WarMonitors and @sentdefender as two sources of real-time information. “It is also worth following direct sources on the ground. Please add interesting options in replies below,” Musk said.......

 NBC Resists 'Normalizing' Trump, But Not the Killers of Hamas- Tim Graham  Oct 11, 2023- Often, as Americans, we want to live in an old Coke commercial where everyone sings in perfect harmony on a hill while they're holding their cola bottles. We don't want to live in a world where evil humans just gun down peaceful concertgoers or kill unarmed civilians in house-to-house raids. Raping women, and then executing them. Taking hostages as human shields.  But that is what the terrorist group Hamas unleashed in its unceasing hatred of Israel. It's hard to believe anyone would proudly line up on an American street corner after this mass murder and support the murderers. It's not as hard to believe that American media outlets would treat it as a normal part of democracy. NBC News tweeted out a story with this message: "In New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles, small but passionate groups of pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered Sunday, and demanded that Israel end its decadeslong blockade of the Gaza Strip." People tweeted back that the Ku Klux Klan was also a "small but passionate group.".....

Murdoch Journo ‘Sorry’ After Hailing ‘Bravery, Intensity’ of Hamas. -Jake Welch - A journalist for the Murdoch-owned newspaper The Times has referred to Hamas’ violent incursion into Israel by describing the terror group’s “bravery, intensity, and incredible ability…” while interviewing an Israeli diplomat just hours after the attack. Chloe Tilley, a presenter for Times Radio as well as the British Broadcasting Corporation, later apologized, blaming an incorrect choice of words due to “four hours of live broadcasting.” Alon Pinkas, the diplomat with whom Tilley spoke, was forced to “correct [her] English” and referred to Hamas’ “audacity” after it launched the assault that has already seen hundreds of Israelis dead and kidnapped and thousands injured as a result. Pinkas further explained, “[Hamas militants] are coming from the sea, they are coming from the air, they are coming on the ground and are killing children and civilians: so there is not much bravery in doing that.”...............

SNBC’s Mehdi Hasan is Amplifying Anti-Israel Content Right Now. - Jake Welch - Far-left MSNBC presenter Mehdi Hasan is amplifying anti-Israeli sentiment and content on social media by sharing multiple videos and posts on X (formerly Twitter) that seek to downplay Hamas aggression in the region. Hasan reposted a number of posts that sought to shift the blame from Hamas to Israel, including, one that read: “unprecedented failure of israel intelligence—the most important component of the country’s national security…utter desperation of gaza palestinians, with many seeing no options for their future but the launch of a suicidal war.” Hasan shared another condemning the same video’s “apocalyptic language,” adding “The scale of Israeli war crimes in Gaza is likely to exceed anything we have seen before.”...............

Hey, Liberal Media, Did You Miss This Part About That Dental Student From Gaza? - Matt Vespa  |  October 17, 2023 -  Beware of the Jihadi propaganda machine, liberal media. These terrorists know you’re anti-Israel. They know more likely than not that there are enough clowns who take the ‘two equal sides’ approach to this issue when there is none. A terrorist organization intentionally targeted civilians, raping, killing, and kidnapping them—subjecting children to torture and wholesale slaughter. Israel has warned Gaza civilians to vacate areas that could become warzones and do not intentionally target civilians despite what scores of anti-Israel leftists have declared in previous years. Ignore these terrorist-sympathizing voices.

 

Wall Street Journal enters fantasy world, claims that Hamas ‘willing to accept a two state solution’ -Oct 12, 2023 12:30 pm By Robert Spencer 7 Comments - The addiction to unreality is the Left’s most persistent addiction.................. - The Wall Street Journal & CNN Whitewash Hamas - In an explainer entitled “What Is Hamas and Why Did It Attack Israel,” The Wall Street Journal distorts the image of the internationally-recognized terror organization by claiming that it is “dedicated to the creation of an independent Palestinian state” and that it has “indicated it is willing to accept a two-state solution based on borders that existed before 1967.” For this latter claim, the Journal asserts that it was “included in [Hamas’] 2017 document of general principles and policies.” Contrary to the depiction of Hamas as a rational political organization solely interested in attaining an independent Palestinian state, presumably through a negotiated settlement with Israel, the group’s raison-d’etre is the destruction of the Jewish state.............

 

Top network issues surreal memo: Don't refer to Hamas as 'terrorists'  - By Joe Kovacs October 8, 2023 - 'If true, this employee, must be fired'. - A major broadcaster in North America is reportedly instructing its journalists not to refer to Hamas attackers as "terrorists." The media giant in question is the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, or CBC, which apparently issued an internal memo over the weekend in the wake of Hamas' onslaught of killings and kidnappings in Israel, with more than 700 murdered and at least 2,300 wounded.................George Achi, director of journalistic standards at CBC News in Toronto, who apparently indicated: "Do not refer to militants, soldiers, or anyone else as 'terrorists.' The notion of terrorism remains heavily politicized and is part of the story."........

It’s partly because I’m compulsive, but it’s also because you never know when a Black Swan—a completely unanticipated event—will change things. Here in America, it might even lead to cleaning up the news media. The good news is that Americans have their heads screwed on right by a two-to-one margin.
