With enough idiots, you don't need a conspiracy.  Is it all a conspiracy, or is it all just stupidity?  Yes!  What's going on in California is clearly a formula for societal disharmony, and disaster.  Here are my current picks and My Take on some of this to demonstrate that disharmony.

Men have a clear legal right to display their “male-appearing genitalia” at children and women in health spas, as long as the men say they are transgender women, and especially when objectors are “bigots,” according to a condescending editorial in the Los Angeles Times.

The July 6 editorial in favor of transgender display said:

As complicated as the opposing beliefs might be, it is clear where the rights in this matter land. Everyone — transgender customers, members of every faith and women who are upset by the sight of penises — all have the right to use the spa and other public accommodations.”

The statement by the paper’s editorial board was intended to denounce widespread criticism of a man who claimed transgender status while displaying his male genitals in a Korean-style spa for women and girls in Los Angeles.

The June 26 dispute went viral when a black Christian woman disregarded the elites’ intense pressure for silence and subservience. She used her Twitter account to slam the man, the spa’s management, and the state’s anti-privacy law. The woman later held a July 7 press conference at her church, which received minimal publicity from pro-transgender reporters and editors:..........To Read More....

 Last week, a luxury spa in  Los Angeles became the subject of intense debate after a viral video appeared showing an enraged customer charging that a man who identified himself as a transgender “woman” had entered a women’s-only area and exposed his genitalia to them, including minors.

The customer’s supporters decided to protest, just like leftists have been protesting businesses and the residences of politicians that they disagree with for the past year.

This was apparently unacceptable for antifa-related groups, who only believe you have the right to protest if you agree with them. Otherwise, they have the right to show up and engage in all kinds of thuggery...............

My Take - Does this pass for anything that seems rational to anyone who isn't part of this cabal of misfits attempting to overturn the traditions and foundational values that created this nation?  So to appease a stunningly small percentage of the population we're expected to destroy the nation?  Did I get that right?   Personally, I don't care how anyone lives their lives as long as they leave everyone else alone, but that's not happening.  This is an issue being driven by leftists with the goal of destroying the American culture, American identity, American capitalism and destroy the Constitution.  The only things standing between freedom and world governance by the leftist misfits and tyrants in the United Nations.

California legalized theft with Proposition 47. Since then pharmacies and small businesses have been forced to shut down by a wave of shoplifters with nothing to fear from the law. But it’s not just stores that are reeling from the crime wave unleashed by criminal justice reform.

Proposition 47 was passed in 2014. LAPD crime data shows that package thefts shot up from 500 to 700 between 2014 to 2015. By 2016, they rose to 1,000, and 1,200 in 2017. My Take - I find it hard to feel any sympathy for the police or the citizens of California.  They're suffering and the suffering came about the old fashioned way.  They earned it.  The public employee unions in California sold their souls to the Democrat party in order to get huge raises and massive unsupportable benefits, including obscene retirement benefits.   

They sowed the wind and are  now reaping the whirlwind, and they deserve it, and they're continuing down this insane path by supporting Newsom in the recall election, as the "unions give him a manpower advantage: The California Labor Federation’s Smith said organized labor has been preparing for months to reactivate its field team. They’re ready to put 5,000 to 7,000 volunteers on the street over the next few months to do over 4,000 miles of door-to-door canvassing, which “covers a huge chunk of the state.”

And it's isn't just the cops and other public employees.   This includes all those self-righteous leftists living in California who continued to vote for more and more radical politicians and their policies, while looking  down their noses at those crazy people who cling to their Bibles and their guns.  You know, those ones who have crime under control and refuse to accept insanity as rational thinking.  The states where all these leftist misfits are running away to.  And after being Woke to the extreme what's their thanks? They called racists!  Why are they being called racists? Because there are no boundaries to the left and their demands are a conflagration that's unquenchable.

I can imagine our friends in the other 49 states muttering, "Lots of luck!" after reading the headline just above.  California is, as the old quip goes, "the land of fruits and nuts."  But with Gavin Newsom facing a recall election, the plan to shut down the nuclear power plant that provides almost 10% of the state's electric power is obvious madness..........California's push for clean energy has already created hardship for consumers, from a 40% decade-long climb in electricity costs to rolling blackouts that loom as a threat every heat wave. Now the state is poised to exacerbate that crisis with plans to retire its last remaining, zero-carbon emissions nuclear plant in 2025........But I do wonder how long Californians will put up with blackouts and staggering electricity bills.

 

My Take - And the suffering will continue, and it will grow!  Here's the real world of California as outlined in this piece by Daniel Greenfield.  How can anything other than anarchy follow?

California legalized pot 5 years ago, but you couldn’t tell that from the scale of the drug war.  Every few months brings another massive bust. A 40-acre illegal pot farm in an obscure part of Death Valley, the "most elaborate illegal marijuana" setup in Mendota with 50,000 pot plants that was so big that police could smell it from 1,100 feet in the air, “vast groves” worth $169 million in the eastern Sierras, and $285 million in the old Shasta region of the gold rush..............

 Mexican cartels now control much of the wilderness that California’s militant environmentalists had insisted on protecting from development. But while developers might fear the Sierra Club and its government allies, the cartels and the immigrant growers under their control don’t. What they’re afraid of is having their throats cut in the middle of the night. And as massive marijuana growing operations take off in wilderness areas, it turns out that the environmentalists were saving all that land so that drug lords from south of the border could grow millions in pot.

While California’s legal agriculture industries are dying: its illegal pot industries are prospering. If you want to grow avocados, good luck getting the water. Instead, Californians are buying Mexican avocados, from which the cartels take their cut, while the water goes to illegal operations that aren’t worried about permits or environmentalist pressure groups in Sacramento.  California's rice production will fall by 20% and its avocado production fell by nearly half in 2019 from 338 million pounds to 175 million pounds, while its illegal pot production vastly increased............The environmentalists who once got high to commune with nature are among the most vocal special interests urging an aggressive war against this new form of agriculture which can’t be regulated. Behind them are identity politics groups and unions which want their cut of the cash.................

Karl Marx observed that history repeats itself as farce. California’s Marxists are doing everything possible to live up to their leader’s teachings. After spending two generations fighting against the old drug war in the name of civil rights, they’re fighting a new drug war for civil rights.  Civil rights being anything that increases the power and wealth of California Democrats.............California Democrats legalized drugs, further wrecking working class families, trashing what’s left of local agriculture and water supplies while feeding organized crime, to score $1.8 billion in tax revenues. But the illegal market is estimated at $8.7 billion. The new drug war is about the Democrats getting their hands on those extra billions by going back to the old drug war...............
