Jewish College Students: Stop Whining and Grow Some!

I told it to my four-year-old kids, then when they were seven and nine and fourteen and eighteen and twenty-plus. It was a mantra that my Dad, of blessed memory, told me: “Life is not a bowl of cherries. So stop whining!” Stop whining, O Jewish college students of America. Stop your incessant whining. Your complaining and kvetching. Stop whining.

You were reared by rich, comfortable, Long Island and Westchester liberals to be liberals and woke. They had abandoned the Judaism of their parents and grandparents, and now had nothing Judaic to offer you. You attended reform temples where you learned nothing Judaic of substance. You learned no Rashi, no Talmud, no Rambam. All you know is that, by happenstance, you were born Jewish just as others, by happenstance, are born left-handed.

The mainstream Orthodox Jews among your generation, the students of Torah and Mishneh and Halakha (Judaic law), have gone to other colleges and advanced yeshivas where Jew-haters do not hold court. But you, the children of the liberals who advanced to be progressive and woke, chose Harvard and Columbia and University of Pennsylvania in an era when all your professors are either woke Jews or non-Jews. They all hate Israel. They all hate observant Jews. Everyone knows this.

Fools: There is no room for Jews in DEI — Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Even as White Supremacists on the Crazy Right say Jews are not White, the reality is, O Jews, you are not Black. It was NOT an Insurrection in America

To call what happened in Washington D.C. on January 6th an Insurrection, is not only preposterous but is an intentional lie.  Lies like these fragment society and impugn national sovereignty.

Israel suffers similarly from the Left’s never-ending false alarms that “our democracy is in danger.” Such mendacity speaks the ultimate forbidden taboo — insurrection — out loud when it has not happened and was not the mind of anyone serious. When you tell enough people that thousands tried a Hitler-style putsch or a Bolshevik-style takeover or military coup, you reduce America’s Constitutional republic and Israel’s own democracy to Haiti, to Zimbabwe, to Arab countries, to Muslim countries, to Communist countries. That is not who America or Israel are, and it is perilous even to suggest otherwise.

In Israel, it is the Left which regularly has trampled democracy. It was the Left who saw a majority of votes in 1992 go to the center and right, yet bought off two right-wing Members of Knesset to pass the historically nightmarish Oslo disaster. Today, three decades later, it is the Israeli Left which carved a government with the votes that had been given to Naftali Bennett and Ayelet Shaked – willing partners – to work for a right-wing and religious government.

These acts of perfidy truly make a mockery of democracy. What is the point in giving people the “democratic” right to choose if, after they choose, an opposite result gets superimposed on the voters anyway?............To Read More....

Our country’s social stasis is disrupted terribly by police shootings. Now that police wear body cams and members of the public scour the streets for interesting events to film on smartphones and then to post to social media, more police shootings get disseminated than ever before. When the target of the shooting is Black, we become infused with the news. When the target is White, we instantly move on because a White target generates few clicks and followers and fails to accord with the left-media narrative. In the same way, on the rare occasion that an Arab Muslim is attacked, the media run wild, but when a Haredi Jew is attacked in broad daylight on the streets of Brooklyn it barely merits a mention in the Food & Wildlife section.

As with the left-media cartel’s preferred and disdained targets, it is much the same when it comes to shooters who generate their interest. A Bernie Sanders supporter shot Rep. Steve Scalise at a baseball practice session. Not interesting, so just one story. Gabby Giffords was shot by her own  Democrat supporter. Not interesting. A nut with orange hair shot up a movie theater showing Batman. Not interesting. An Arab Muslim shot up a military site. Workplace violence. The active Colorado supermarket shooter a few weeks ago generated a storm of interest. Then the media found out that the arrested guy is named Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa. This is America 2021. Of course we are amid a horrible once-in-a-century pandemic, but systemically we have no real societal problems — so we make up our own problems..............The Left has absolutely no real problems it can find in today’s America, so it fabricates new ones that do not exist:  Systemic racism. White privilege. A new falsified history called “The 1619 Project,” to be taught to children instead of such toxicities as cursive writing and Dr. Seuss.

They fabricate “systemic racism.” They start canceling conservative professors, as though students’ minds will be broadened in an echo chamber where they do not get challenged with a single antithesis in the five or six years they vegetate for their undergraduate degrees. The Left changes school curricula to replace reading, writing, and arithmetic with critical race theory and gender-fluidity studies. Faced with a  single academic sanctuary from the madness — the final redoubt for normalcy in “STEM” courses in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — they now advance woke math, where precise accuracy no longer will exist. Thus, 8+6 = 14 … but that is only “your truth.” By contrast, “my truth” is that 8+6 = 3. If you insist otherwise, you are manifesting White privilege. And, of course, racism.............

For the millennial generation and those on campus, your campus professors have taught you that injustice is endemic in America and that you do not deserve the benefits of the college education that the homeless do not enjoy. You feel bad and guilty that you got to attend college, that your parents and you have lived more comfortably than have your liberal Democrat parents’ servants and housekeepers, gardeners and pool cleaners, and the custodians who clean your dormitories.

 

You feel guilty that ‘The Rich” have billions of dollars while others reside on the streets, in the subways, or at freeway exits. You feel guilty that you enjoy American citizenship while others born outside are denied. That you have access to campus healthcare while others do not. That Betsy Ross sewed a flag for you when you can’t even sew a button.

 

Despite what you have been taught, conservatives also care deeply about the poor, the orphaned, the widowed, the oppressed. For us, rather than virtue-signaling our concern or taking money from others to fabricate half-baked responses, we recognize that there is but one certain road out of poverty for able-bodied people: the road of accepting personal responsibility for one’s situation and engaging in self-help.

When you give someone welfare handouts and food stamps, you help him or her until the cash soon runs out. But when you create conditions that enable such people to obtain employment and to work gainfully, you help them and their future generations for life, even as you imbue them with dignity.

People who live off public assistance know in their hearts and souls that they are not keeping up their end of the social bargain. As long as they have any dignity, they are burdened with shame. They are told not to be ashamed: “These are ‘entitlements’! You are entitled!”

But people with self-respect know better. People who work and who pay income taxes, however modest those income taxes be, take pride in knowing that they are part of society’s solutions, not its problems.

To be sure, some people lack those abilities because of physical or psychological impairments that leave them unable to contribute, and conservatives commit to to their assistance. “For the poor shall never cease out of the land; therefore I command thee, saying, ‘Thou shalt surely open thy hand unto thy poor and needy brother, in thy land,’” says Deuteronomy 15:11. Indeed, it is part of the personal responsibility that a conservative bears to assist those truly unable to help themselves.

In a recent Nazi outrage, Rashida Tlaib, Democrat Liar of Michigan, stated that the Holocaust has had a “calming” effect on her because the “Palestinians” “welcomed” the Jews into “their” land as a haven from Hitler. The Big Lie — in so many dimensions.

New to the fray, South Bend Mayor Buttigieg — an expert on world affairs though still unable to maintain civil equanimity in his own city where African Americans are furious over a recent police shooting — has announced that, if Israel ever extends sovereignty into any part of Judea or Samaria, he will cut off aid to Israel accordingly if he is elected President.

Others on the same bandwagon: Robert O’Rourke, a Scottish-Irish skateboarder best known for break-ins, drunk driving, computer hacking, faking Hispanic heritage, and having his ear hairs cut. Bernie Sanders, an American Communist. What these and their ilk all have in common is that they each see nothing anti-Semitic in anything that Ilhan Abdullahi Omar or Rashida Tlaib has written or spoken, but they are unable to tolerate Jewish life in Judea and Samaria.

Even true friends of Israel in Washington, D.C. like Sen. Lindsey Graham have succumbed to decades of the Biggest Mideast Lie: that there ever was an Arab political entity of “Palestine” or that there ever was a “Palestinian Arab nation.” ...........To Read More....

But know quietly that you are correct in your political assessment, which — go figure! — makes you politically correct! They all are crazy.

Of course women have the right to determine control of their bodies. No one should touch them without their permission, peck them on the cheek, stroke their hair, lay a shoulder across their arms. And of course no one has the right to kiss them on the lips, thrust a tongue into their mouths (think: Al Franken), grab at their breasts or lower genitalia (think: Cory Booker), or such without their permission. 

Women absolutely have absolute right to their bodies.

The dilemma is that, by the way that nature exists, an independent living body sometimes emerges to take both form and life within some women’s bodies. That complicates things. Does a woman have the right to say “Kill this emerging life inside of me, this other body that soon is destined to live completely independently of mine?” For that matter, does a conjoined (“siamese”) twin have the right to pay a doctor or a Mobster to kill the other twin attached to her? When Kaepernick the Dirt started his thing, I treated the matter as one ungrateful dirtbag who was spitting in the faces of millions of American patriots like me in a country that allowed him to draw millions of dollars for no discernible skill other than throwing a ball and running with it. Hillary Still Coping in Alternate Reality

Hillary (D-NY)… and suddenly that name will never be the same again. Answering Chris Wallace in a 2016 Presidential debate, Hillary (D-NY) excoriated Donald Trump when he left open whether he would accept uncritically the results of the Presidential election if he were to lose. Yet, after the election, Hillary challenged the vote counts, denounced the electoral college, mocked the stupidity of White women for letting their husbands tell them how to vote, endlessly blamed her loss on Russian collusion and election influencing, and she blamed James Comey for reopening the investigation into her 33,000 yoga and wedding-dress emails after the FBI learned that Hillary aide Huma Abedin had emailed secure and confidential materials to a home computer used simultaneously by her lecherous then-and-now-former husband Anthony Weiner (D-NY). Having only barely not lost in 2008 to Obama, and again having not lost to Trump, she has supporters urging her to try a third time in 2020 not to lose the Presidency again. Many of those urging her to run are loyal readers of these columns. None believe that her 33,000 deleted emails concerned yoga. Reality check: Hillary never attained the lotus position, and Hillary never attained the POTUS position.
