Marxism and Tyranny, or Capitalism and Freedom. Which Way Will You Go?

In the past I've discussed the two trails story, and I think it's a good time to review that story now.  The way the story goes is there are two trails leading through the jungle leading to a desired location. One is difficult, and requires a lot of hard work cutting your way through heavy growth and uneven ground, takes longer, but if you go that way you will arrive safely.  

The other trail is easy, smooth and is quicker, but there's a problem with this trail.  You see, it's commonly known at the end of that trail is a pride of lions that jumps out killing and eating everyone who takes it, every time!  Yet we find over and over again people keep taking the easy trail refusing to do the work necessary to get the right result, completely ignoring history and reality.  

Why do people mentally function in this manner?  It's because we have the tendency to follow the mental pathways we've already established in our minds.  The easy trail.  To change our views requires thinking.  Thinking means exploring new horizons, reading, research, fact gathering, analysis, and finally drawing conclusions.  Conclusions that may be uncomfortable.  Conclusions that my be in opposition to the conventional wisdom shared by friends and family.  So, thinking isn't done because thinking can end up being unpleasant and hard work.  The difficult trail.

Western civilization is at a crossroads.  Tyranny or freedom, and western civilization is going to have to make a decision about what direction it wants to go.  The difficult trail will require standing against the current, which is often called conventional wisdom.  For those who are go along to get along types, that's the easy trail they will take.   They're liked, treated with respect and often treated with deference.  

Then there are those who are willing to be the rocks in the current standing against conventional wisdom and embracing traditional wisdom.  They're considered trouble makers, resented, disliked and often times having people openly and determinedly working against them. 

Which brings us to this question.  What's the difference between conventional wisdom and traditional wisdom? 

Conventional wisdom is merely what everyone believes at the moment, and may not last as long as the latest ladies fashion.  Leftists are notorious for taking this path since they have no solid moral foundation other than an insatiable desire to grasp power, and are prepared to abandon anything and embrace the next philosophical flavor of the day.  

Traditional wisdom is what has stood the test of time, which is what conservatives embrace; believing in history, reality, and facts, all of which supports the traditional values that have create stable social structures forever. 

What happens when leaders are part of the go along to get along crowd... .the majority usually... finally make a total mess of things?  Everyone turns to the conventional wisdom crowd who no one likes, but who everyone realizes are necessary to get things right.  

Socialism is now and has always been a death dealing plague on humanity.  Socialist always promise utopia, but never fail to deliver dystopia.  The only thing leftists are good at is destruction and long term devastation.  After 237 years of failure, from the French Revolution until right up to our day, you would think the value of socialism would no longer have to be debated.  Also, let's end this clabber about Marxism and communism being on the left and fascism being a right wing movement.  Nonsense!  They're all leftist movements, and merely two sides of the same philosophical coin: Socialism.    

The people of western civilization are at a cross roads. One path leads to Marxism and tyranny, and the other path leads to capitalism and freedom.  Which way will you go?
