Why Are Pollsters So Often Wrong?

Yesterday I reported that Francesca Hong lost in spite of the polls claiming she was a shoo-in, and she lost.  Pollsters claimed El-Sayed was ahead by double digits, and then just squeaked by.  Some are claiming these "rigged" polls putting him so far ahead "likely handed El-Sayed the win by suppressing the turnout for his Democrat opponent" who was black.   

It's now being suggested these polls in support of El-Sayed and Hong were designed and promoted by the media to suppress the black vote, which I think is nonsense!  Remember, all things great and small are racist.  But if Republicans were accused of doing this we would be seeing 24/7 protests and a demand for a "civil rights investigation."

Now, pollster Frank Luntz, who I've never .... never...... been impressed with, is calling for a complete shut down of polling in the midwest until they can figure out what the heck is going on.  Imagine that!

Well Frank, the answer is as obvious as rain is wet, ice is cold, and hucksters just won't give up the con. So, I'm going give you the answer as to what's going on.  Pollsters are the problem.  All pollsters are full of BS.  They're all snake oil salesmen, and their polls are all rigged!  There's no fix since pollsters don't really believe there's a problem that needs fixing, as the  problem that needs fixed is.... watch out now here it comes...... pollsters!  Reform?  Never gonna happen.  

I stopped believing polls over 30 years ago, and for decades it's been obvious to the most casual observer that polls are a load of horsepucky.  Pollsters have had a good run fooling a public they saw as too stupid to figure out what was going on, and there is still a substantial number who are easily beguiled, but that number is getting smaller by the year. You've had decades to figure out what the heck is going on and simply refused to acknowledge the problem because pollsters are the problem, and suffer from the first rule of the criminal mind?  Never give up the con!

Pollsters so often remind me of Karl Rove with his chalk board; always sure, often wrong.

1. SHOCKER: Fake Polls Are Now Affecting the Los Angeles Mayoral Race - America has a polling problem. In the recent Michigan Democrat Senate primary, the polls were way off. Then the same thing happened in the Wisconsin Democrat governor primary. In both cases, the polls favored the far left candidates.  Now the same thing is happening in Los Angeles, although in this case, the poll favored Karen Bass, the supposed establishment candidate over Nithya Raman, the DSA loon candidate......Polls have always been used by partisans to try to influence the public, but it seems much more rampant in this election cycle. And it always favors Democrats. Isn’t that strange?......

Fake Polling Firm with Fake Polls Was a 'Short-Term Social Experiment' -A fake polling firm projecting Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Wisconsin Democrat socialist gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong with leads over their opponents admits these were fake polls as part of a “short-term social experiment.”........

1. Speaking of Bad Polls - The poor quality of polling with regard to the midterm primaries has been widely commented on. Largely, that reflects the fact that primaries are inherently small turnout, volatile, and hard to poll. But this year there was something else going on:......The same firm created fake polling data with regard to the Los Angeles mayor’s race.  Some conservatives are convinced that pollsters deliberately make up, or massage, data to further a political agenda.
