What Do Black People Think

Jared Taylor, American Renaissance, April 28, 2021

I’m baffled — again.

Sometimes I marvel at how different blacks are from whites, and this has been a time of marvels. Let’s start with the latest police shooting to get the full, national outrage treatment: Ma’khia Bryant in Columbus, Ohio. On April 20th, police got a 911 call with screaming in the background and a frantic woman shouting that someone “is trying to stab us.” Twelve minutes later, there was another 911 call, but the woman hung up, saying the police were already there.

You may have seen the police body-cam video, but here are the crucial 15 seconds in slow motion. This is the first thing the officer sees when he gets out of the car. 6:18 – 7:52

Guess who that guy is doing the kicking? It’s probably Ma’khia’s father. I don’t see how anyone can watch this video and not think the white officer did exactly the right thing You can’t count on a taser to stop someone in a split second.

But Ma’khia has relatives who disagree. Aunt Hazel told the Daily Beast, “The police are going to lie. They’re not here to protect and serve. They’re here to kill Black folks.” Great Grandmother Ila, said, “It looks to me like that’s what the police wanted to do, to kill her.”..........To Read More....

A website called TB Daily News has learned that Ma’khia had terrible parents. This appears to be her father, Myron Hammonds. A kindly-looking fellow. He is now playing the aggrieved father, but he had to be taken to court to admit he was the baby daddy. Here is the record of the paternity case. Plaintiff is the mother, Paula Bryant, and he is the defendant.

TB Daily News also learned that dad had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and has a criminal record as long as your arm. But he sure came through for Ma’khia when she needed him in that knife fight, didn’t he?

Ma’khia’s mother Paula was charged in 2004 with domestic violence and assault, and pleaded guilty to a lesser charge. In 2010, she was charged with domestic violence and endangering children and again pleaded down to a lesser charge. No wonder Ma’khia ended up in foster care.................To Read More....

A Great New Idea for Reducing Police Shootings

Plus, why Nicholas Reardon is an American hero.

Dov Fischer by Dov Fischer  April 26, 2021

Our country’s social stasis is disrupted terribly by police shootings. Now that police wear body cams and members of the public scour the streets for interesting events to film on smartphones and then to post to social media, more police shootings get disseminated than ever before. When the target of the shooting is Black, we become infused with the news. When the target is White, we instantly move on because a White target generates few clicks and followers and fails to accord with the left-media narrative. In the same way, on the rare occasion that an Arab Muslim is attacked, the media run wild, but when a Haredi Jew is attacked in broad daylight on the streets of Brooklyn it barely merits a mention in the Food & Wildlife section.

As with the left-media cartel’s preferred and disdained targets, it is much the same when it comes to shooters who generate their interest. A Bernie Sanders supporter shot Rep. Steve Scalise at a baseball practice session. Not interesting, so just one story. Gabby Giffords was shot by her own  Democrat supporter. Not interesting. A nut with orange hair shot up a movie theater showing Batman. Not interesting. An Arab Muslim shot up a military site. Workplace violence. The active Colorado supermarket shooter a few weeks ago generated a storm of interest. Then the media found out that the arrested guy is named Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa. End of that coverage..........To Read More....

A Recipe for More Tragedy

The media’s rush to judgment on the Adam Toledo shooting will come with a high cost.

Rafael A. Mangual April 16, 2021

Last night, as I scrolled through my newsfeed on Facebook, I saw multiple posts referring to the shooting of 13-year-old Adam Toledo by Chicago police officer Eric Stillman, video (warning: graphic) of which had just been released by the city’s Civilian Office of Police Accountability.

All the posts linked to news stories with headlines emphasizing one detail: at the moment Toledo was struck by the officer’s gunfire, his hands were raised and appeared to be empty. A sampling of the news headlines:

  • Slate: “Video Shows Chicago Police Shoot 13-Year-Old Adam Toledo With His Hands Up”
  • BuzzFeed News: “Video Shows 13-Year-Old Adam Toledo Had His Hands Up When A Police Officer Fatally Shot Him”
  • NBC 5 Chicago: “Attorney: Adam Toledo Did Not Have Gun In His Hand When He Was Shot By Chicago Police”
  • Mic: “13-year-old Adam Toledo put his hands up. Chicago police killed him anyway”
  • USA Today: “‘We failed Adam’: Body camera videos show 13-year-old Adam Toledo put hands up before fatal police shooting in Chicago” (the quote belongs to Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot)
  • The Associated Press: “Video: Chicago boy wasn’t holding gun when shot by officer”

The implication from these headlines is clear: the boy was unarmed and raising his hands in surrender when he was shot—ergo, this was a bad shooting.........To Read More....

Undermining Justice

Progressive politicians’ anti-police statements will hurt most the very groups they claim to defend.

Hannah E. Meyers April 16, 2021

On Sunday, 20-year-old Daunte Wright was killed in a Minneapolis suburb. Following a traffic stop for expired registration, officer Kim Potter shot Wright, apparently intending to tase him, as he fled arrest for an open warrant. (Wright and another man had been charged with first-degree attempted aggravated robbery in December 2019.) Potter has since resigned and been charged with second-degree manslaughter. Coming during the trial of officer Derek Chauvin for the killing of George Floyd, Wright’s death threw fuel on a simmering fire: about 80 people were arrested in the area on Tuesday night for throwing bricks and bottles and inciting riots.

Meantime, progressive politicians have issued nonsensical statements that will further harm the communities now ablaze. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), for instance, tweeted on Monday: “Policing in our country is inherently & intentionally racist. Daunte Wright was met with aggression & violence. I am done with those who condone government-funded murder. No more policing, incarceration, and militarization. It can’t be reformed.” Such rhetoric provokes the mobs currently destroying infrastructure and businesses, but the damage goes beyond property. As riots rage, cops grow more discouraged—and less willing to take the risks inherent in proactive policing. The resulting de-policing creates lawlessness that invites further violence and criminality, as experience and a growing body of research confirm.........To Read More.....

My Take - The author makes some excellent observations until he gets to the last paragraph saying:

"Law enforcement should continue on its trajectory of increased accountability and community partnership. Better policing, not less policing, will mean fewer black men dying in police confrontations—and in the violence that too often follows them."

What will cause less black men to die from police shootings is for less black criminal activity, which is way out of proportion per population, and that will start to happen when black culture changes.

When the 70% illegitimacy rate in black America drops dramatically we'll see changes that have nothing to do with police reform.  But that's not going to happen as long as we keep making excuses for inappropriate black cultural behavior with this insane effort to promote Critical Race Theory in public and the federal government paying black women to have babies out of wedlock, often times by multiple men who absent themselves as soon as they can, and impregnate other women who, along with their children, they abandon.

Until then, all the police reform in the world will not stop these killings because the police rarely kill innocent people.  They're shooting and killing thugs and criminals who fight with the police, and they fight with the police because they know they're criminals who deserve to be arrested.

FBI’s Newest Prerogative: Shooting Subway Passengers

James BovardJames Bovard – December 21, 2020

Was the torrent of media editorials and exposes denouncing police violence earlier this year all a sham?

Thirty-six years ago, Bernie Goetz pulled a pistol and shot four youths who were shaking him down on the New York subway. This was front-page news for weeks and spurred a deluge of anti-gun denunciations as well as condemnations of routine subway violence. Goetz was later acquitted by a jury on criminal assault and attempted murder charges.

Last Tuesday, an FBI agent pulled out his gun and repeatedly shot a passenger on the Washington subway. At the bottom of B6 in Saturday’s Washington Post – buried past an article headlined, “Despite the upcoming solstice, winter has already arrived” is a short piece headlined: “Police:‘Verbal exchange’ preceded Metro shooting.” There were zero news reports or disclosures for the two days after the shooting – except for a brief FBI note that there had been an “officer-involved shooting” on the subway...............

The FBI almost always exonerates its own. The FBI initially claimed it was justified in killing Vicki Weaver at Ruby Ridge, slain by a sniper 200 yards away as she held her baby in a cabin door. An FBI internal report ruled that every shooting by an FBI agent betweens 1993 and 2011 was justified, spurring a New York Times headline: “The F.B.I. Deemed Agents Faultless in 150 Shootings.”.........To Read More.....

Why Cops Sometimes Shoot “Unarmed” Citizens

By —— Bio and Archives--September 15, 2020

On August 23, a combative black suspect named Jason Blake was shot by a Kenosha, Wisconsin police officer who thought Blake might be reaching into his SUV to retrieve a deadly weapon. In a shameful rush to judgment by a national media that salivates when unarmed black people are shot by white police, the incident was portrayed as an outrage where another unarmed black man was shot just for the hell of it by a rogue white cop in this “systemically racist” nation of ours. Was the shooting of Blake justifiable? The legal system has yet to answer that question. But as shown in the video, determining the answer is not as easy as you might think............More Here
