I subscribe to Geopolitical Futures so I get a daily briefing on what's going on in the world. Although I read extensively, I had no idea the US military was so heavily deployed throughout Africa. I received this map from them today. I'm sure you find this more than interesting. As Geopolitical Futures notes: "The U.S. military posture in Africa has often been described as a "light footprint."
