Paris (CNSNews.com) – An undiplomatic spat between the French and Italian governments shows little sign of easing, and observers expect neither side will put it to rest ahead of European elections in May. Far-right French politician Marine Le Pen in a radio interview criticized President Emmanuel Macron’s government for recalling its ambassador from Rome, saying she found his “political use of diplomacy” disturbing.
The ambassador was recalled on Thursday, the same day as the foreign ministry in Paris summoned Italy’s ambassador to protest a spate of Italian government criticism of French policies........To Read More....
