Hillary Clinton may try to dismiss Donald Trump’s abortion statements as simple “scare rhetoric,” but there’s more truth to the Republican presidential nominee’s remarks than she or her pro-abortion cronies would ever openly admit. During Wednesday night’s third presidential debate at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, moderator Chris Wallace asked candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton about their positions on abortion.
In response to one of the most concise and hard-hitting responses that Trump has ever given on the issue, Trump made the point that under Clinton’s proposed abortion policy, “in the ninth month you can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb of the mother just prior to the birth of the baby.”
“Now you can say that that's OK and Hillary can say that that's OK. But it's not OK with me,” he said. “And that’s not acceptable.”
“Well, that is not what happens in these cases,” Clinton responded, “and using that kind of scare rhetoric is just terribly unfortunate.”
In reality, that is what happens — and it can happen in more places than you might think.
When it comes to late-term abortion, Trump’s “scare rhetoric” isn’t far off base. Children at this stage of development are typically subjected to one of two procedures to end their life. One is the “dilation and evacuation” (D&E) procedure, in which the baby is methodically ripped apart and taken from the womb, or an “induction procedure,” in which they are soaked in a toxic saline solution that burns them alive.
