These are but two examples of hundreds. Washington DC is nothing if not a cesspool of lies, debauchery, fraud, and corruption. They live in a world of unlimited funding, power, and control over other’s people’s lives if they just manage to play the right game and know the right people. In no way do these crime bosses and their cohorts consider themselves in any way constrained by a document written over two hundred years ago. Why should we, their peasants, get in the way of their brilliance and wealth? They demean and debase the Constitution every day. They’re spitting on our liberty and our children’s futures. If they could snap their fingers and make the Constitution vanish, they’d do it in a heartbeat..........To Read More.....
My Take - We should be aware the elimination of the U.S. Constitution, is now and has always been, the goal of the "progressives" in America. The progressive movement was European socialism in disguise.
European socialism wasn't popular in America because it was atheistic in nature and structure. That didn't play well to the "fly over people" in America, which at that time was most of the population including the East and West coasts, and the binding force for this movement was religion. They believed socialism was the practical application of Christian ethic.
After WWII the binding force was psychology. If you didn't agree with them you were insane! Then the real power within that movement - actual socialists who hate religion but tolerated it to attain their twin goals of power and wealth - were able to kick the religionists to the curb. Although they're more than willing to trot them out when it suits their needs. And these heretics happily wag their tails and lick the hands of those who use them, and praise them for their openness, but who would also happily execute them if that would further their corrupt ends.
Having said all of that I come to my point. The worst president of the 20th century was, in my opinion, Teddy Roosevelt. Why? Because he gave personality to the progressive movement which allowed the first fascist President of the United States, Woodrow Wilson, to impose his dictatorship on America during WWI, and that didn't change until Harding was elected President in 1920 and took office in January of 1921 - WWI ended in November of 1918, that was over two years after the war ended, releasing people Wilson imprisoned without charge or trial. including newspaper reporters who said things he didn't like.
As a side bar - Wilson was an academic and it always amazes me how these academics so easily turn into tyrants while ex-generals (with the exception of Andrew Jackson) like Washington, Grant, Eisenhower, William Henry Harrison, Zachary Taylor, Franklin Pierce, Andrew Johnson (Bet you didn't know Johnson was a general!), Ulysses S. Grant and Rutherford B. Hayes don't.
Both Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson believed the U.S. Constitution was an impediment to human progress and both believed in the concept, L'Etat, c'est moi. I am the state!
Starting the late 1800's public education was geared to one thing - and it wasn't to teach reading, writing and arithmetic - that was a side benefit. It was to make sure "the apple fell as far away from the tree as possible" and make sure the young were taught to accept the idea the state was the ultimate moral arbiter of all things. Not the churches! Not their parents! The State!
Nothing has changed!
