The Harbinger of Things to Come

By Rich Kozlovich

As my regular readers know I subscribe to Geopolitical Futures receiving commentaries and reports daily.  This morning I received this report, 2024 Annual Forecast: Europe, from one of their excellent analysts, Antonia Colibasanu.  This is a subscription article so I will highlight what she's saying.

Strikes and demonstrations are nothing new for Europe, but two factors distinguish the latest bout: its transnational nature and its concentration in specific economic sectors. Farmers are or were recently protesting in Bulgaria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Romania, while rail and other public transit employees have gone on strike in Bulgaria, Germany, Poland.....

Much of what's she's reporting involves this Russo/Ukrainian War, and the economics involved.  There are a lot of elections coming in 2024 in Europe, and Europeans are upset, the current leadership fears a conservative take over, and Russia's definitely interfering in every way they can, including massive misinformation efforts.  The economic conditions are causing massive unrest, and truthfully, all else she's reporting  reinforces in my mind my belief the EU will not be in existence by 2030, or even earlier.

There's a major worldwide economic downturn on the horizon, and nothing is going stop it now.  They've dug themselves into a huge globalist World Economic Forum pit and are still digging, right along with China and Russia.  When one of them collapses economically, the rest will follow.

In order to survive a nation needs six things. It must be able to:

  1. Feed itself.  Which Russia and China are capable of.  Europe, not so much.
  2. Fuel itself.  Only Russia is capable of that, both China and Europe are seriously energy needy, and Europe has chosen energy suicide with their idiotic green agenda. That's going to cause massive disruptive and long overdue change in their leadership.
  3. Defend itself.  China and Russia can defend against attack, but Europe cannot without US involvement.
  4. Arm itself.  China can, while the quality may be in question, but Russia is now running out of that capability, and is buying arms for N. Korea and Iran.  How telling is that?
  5. Pay off its national debt.  Europe is drowning in red ink, with no hope of correction, and if there's a worldwide downturn, no hope of survival.  Russia had little of no debt at the beginning of this war, and now that's changing dramatically in order to maintain the needs of Russian society, and Putin's failing in that.  China's economy is nothing but smoke and mirrors and their true national debt must be massive.  If there's an economic collapse, none of them can pay off their debt, or even maintain the needs of their societies, as their banking systems will collapse.
  6. Create it's own internal market.  Not a one of them have that capability, or at least enough to maintain their economies at anywhere near their current standard.

There's only one nation on Earth that is capable of all six....if willing?  The US.   Even if the world's banking system collapses, the US can still survive intact.  Not at our current level of prosperity, but survive intact.   If what I believe is coming occurs, that's going to be the most acceptable solution.  As for Europe and Asia, expect to see massive Balkanization, especially in Europe, which is the natural historical order of things in Europe since the fall of Rome.  I also expect to see massive levels of violence as a result of Europe's insane immigration policies.  There's a penalty to be paid for their refusing to define things properly.

What I haven't be able to come to a conclusion on is what will happen in South America.  They may actually survive intact.  My grandfather was a coal miner and owned a small farm.  Everything they ate came from the farm, and when the depression hit, he didn't notice it nearly as badly as most, since he didn't have anything to start with.  Thus, the less developed nations of the Earth will also not be as heavily impacted by a worldwide economic collapse.

Then there's Africa, which is a mess, and it pretty much doesn't matter what happens as most of Africa is in a permanent state of collapse with corruption at levels so massive they make Washington seem honest, and violence at levels that make San Francisco look like a peaceful paradise.  The impact of a worldwide economic collapse?  Minimal.  The violence and corruption will go on just as it usually does.

At least that's how it seems to me, but as the reporter in Charlie Wilson's War said:  We'll see!

Ending the Credit Rating Agency Racket

Stephen Moore Oct 09, 2018

This month marks the 10-year anniversary of the housing market meltdown that led to the Great Recession. Is another crisis looming around the corner?    Hopefully not, but it is worrisome that a decade later Washington is engaged in the same derelict behavior that caused the crisis. Government agencies are still issuing taxpayer guarantees on more than 90 percent of mortgages -- many with less than 5 percent down payments. Yikes.

Worse, the biggest conspirators in the meltdown, the duopolistic credit rating agencies Moody's and S&P, which gave sterling AAA grades on these bonds up nearly to the date they collapsed into financial rubble, are still dominating 80 percent of the credit rating market. Why are they even still in business?

Throughout 2007 and 2008, these agencies encouraged investors to snatch up hundreds of billions of dollars of mortgage-backed securities. They told investors these mortgages were "virtually risk-free" and stamped them with AAA ratings. Thanks to this incompetence, millions of Americans lost their life savings, and America suffered one of the greatest financial disasters in our history...........To Read More......

America Is Already In a Constitutional Crisis

By Kyle McDonough November 1, 2016

Naturally, every corner of the internet exploded with speculation on how this may impact the election. Some have been gleefully declaring Trump a shoe in for President while others are screaming with their hair on fire on cable news networks. One comment that struck me in particular was that if Hillary Clinton gets elected with this investigation hanging around her neck we could be in the midst of a Constitutional crisis. I don’t know who the guy was, but are you serious bro? Have you ever read the Constitution? .........

These are but two examples of hundreds. Washington DC is nothing if not a cesspool of lies, debauchery, fraud, and corruption. They live in a world of unlimited funding, power, and control over other’s people’s lives if they just manage to play the right game and know the right people. In no way do these crime bosses and their cohorts consider themselves in any way constrained by a document written over two hundred years ago. Why should we, their peasants, get in the way of their brilliance and wealth? They demean and debase the Constitution every day. They’re spitting on our liberty and our children’s futures. If they could snap their fingers and make the Constitution vanish, they’d do it in a heartbeat..........To Read More.....

My Take - We should be aware the elimination of the U.S. Constitution, is now and has always been, the goal of the "progressives" in America.  The progressive movement was European socialism in disguise.

European socialism wasn't popular in America because it was atheistic in nature and structure.  That didn't play well to the "fly over people" in America, which at that time was most of the population including the East and West coasts, and the binding force for this movement was religion.  They believed socialism was the practical application of Christian ethic.

After WWII the binding force was psychology.  If you didn't agree with them you were insane! Then the real power within that movement - actual socialists who hate religion but tolerated it to attain their twin goals of power and wealth - were able to kick the religionists to the curb.  Although they're more than willing to trot them out when it suits their needs.  And these heretics happily wag their tails and lick the hands of those who use them, and praise them for their openness, but who would also happily execute them if that would further their corrupt ends.

Having said all of that I come to my point.  The worst president of the 20th century was, in my opinion, Teddy Roosevelt.  Why?  Because he gave personality to the progressive movement which allowed the first fascist President of the United States, Woodrow Wilson, to impose his dictatorship on America during WWI, and that didn't change until Harding was elected President in 1920 and took office in January of 1921 - WWI ended in November of 1918, that was over two years after the war ended, releasing people Wilson imprisoned without charge or trial. including newspaper reporters who said things he didn't like.

As a side bar - Wilson was an academic and it always amazes me how these academics so easily turn into tyrants while ex-generals (with the exception of Andrew Jackson) like Washington,  Grant, Eisenhower, William Henry Harrison, Zachary Taylor, Franklin Pierce, Andrew Johnson (Bet you didn't know Johnson was a general!), Ulysses S. Grant and Rutherford B. Hayes don't.

Both Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson believed the U.S. Constitution was an impediment to human progress and both believed in the concept, L'Etat, c'est moi.  I am the state!

Starting the late 1800's public education was geared to one thing - and it wasn't to teach reading, writing and arithmetic - that was a side benefit.  It was to make sure "the apple fell as far away from the tree as possible" and make sure the young were taught to accept the idea the state was the ultimate moral arbiter of all things.  Not the churches! Not their parents!  The State!

Nothing has changed!
