An open letter from a Baton Rouge, Louisiana-area attorney is going viral due in large part to her condemnation of the national media for their indifferent attitude towards the suffering of the people of Louisiana. Heather Cross, the author, also takes time to admonish our national politicians (including the presidential candidates) for their decision to overlook the crisis in Louisiana (though just after she published this, GOP candidate Donald Trump flew down to Louisiana to survey the damage and meet with local leaders to see how he could help). Her commentary has struck a chord with her fellow Louisianans as they struggle to recover from the terrible flooding while the nation seemingly ignores their plight.
