Ben Carson: ‘In Cases of Rape and Incest, I Would Hope’ Pregnant Women Would Take RU-486 - GOP presidential candidate and retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson told Fox News’ “Your World With Neil Cavuto” on Wednesday that he “would hope” that in cases of rape and incest, a woman would go to the hospital and get RU-486, a drug that causes abortion. Cavuto: Doctor, I was thinking – and as a doctor – what you thought of Marco Rubio’s line at the debate that even in cases of rape and incest, he would be against aborting a child. Carson: In cases of rape and incest, I would hope that they would very quickly avail themselves of emergency room, and in the emergency room, they have the ability to administer RU-486, other possibilities, before you have a developing fetus. Now I have to agree that—

Hillary Clinton
You Don't Have (Hillary's) Mail -
It's really starting to look as if the "smartest woman in the world"
has outsmarted herself. Before
the Kardashians, reality soap opera fans had the Clintons. If you are too young
to have lived through or too old to remember clearly those years, Thomas Lifson
has a neat synopsis of As the Clinton World
Turns, This week’s episode, "Three Card Monty",
continues as Hillary’s various stories about the official emails she improperly
kept on a private server come undone. To refresh the story -- in order to
protect national security, assure transparency in government, and to preserve
an archive of official actions, she was supposed to use a secured Department of
State server. Instead she kept a private, previously undisclosed server which
held on it all her official and personal emails and those of her aides. A
Freedom of Information Act case was filed and the woman her husband once called
“the smartest woman in the world” and her spinners have been churning out
excuses ever since. This week we learned the following:….
Signals Intelligence: A lesson
for Hillary - Luckily, Hillary had nothing to do with
World War II.
Will Huma Abedin Survive theClinton Scandal Vortex? - It was probably inevitable that the woman always at Hillary Clinton’s side
would one day be sucked into the vortex of suspicion and scandal surrounding
the Democratic presidential frontrunner. For top Clinton aide Huma Abedin, that
day seems to have arrived. Though rumors of impropriety have swirled around
Abedin for over two years, in the past two weeks they’ve snowballed into
concrete allegations. Last week, the
State Department inspector general claimed that the trusted Clinton confidant
owes the government nearly $10,000 for violating rules regarding vacation and
sick leave. And in court on Monday, Hillary Clinton admitted Abedin had an
e-mail account on the now-infamous private server run out of Clinton’s house
while she was secretary of state, and that the account “was used at times for
government business.” …..

Ignores Question on Her Ally Schumer’s Opposition to Iran Nuclear Deal
- Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton on Monday sidestepped a
question on Sen. Chuck Schumer’s decision to break with their party and the administration
over the Iran nuclear agreement. At a press availability in Exeter, N.H., as
Clinton walked away from reporters, she was asked about the Iran deal and the
decision by Schumer (D-N.Y.) not to support it. “Madame Secretary, any comments on the Iran deal?” a
reporter asked her. “Senator Schumer’s not supporting it – are you disappointed
in him?” Video footage shows Clinton hesitate, look at the reporter and gesture
briefly in his direction before walking away without answering the question.
“Thank you all,” she was heard saying indistinctly as she left.……

Dept. Won’t Concede IG Is Correct in Saying Emails on Clinton’s Server
Contained ‘Top Secret’ Information - The U.S. State Department
will not concede that Intelligence Community Inspector General Charles
McCullough was correct when he stated in an Aug. 11 memo to Director of
National Intelligence James Clapper and members of Congress—including the
chairmen and ranking members of the congressional intelligence committees -
that emails on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private server
included information that was classified Top Secret. “In response to the above
referenced congressional notification, my office received multiple
Congressional requests for copies of Former Secretary Clinton’s emails
containing classified Intelligence Community [IC] information,” McCullough
wrote in the Aug. 11 memo, which has been made public by Senate Judiciary
Chairman Charles Grassley.

Outta Whitewash - My Instagram and Facebook feeds have been
filled with unwitting apologists for racism against Korean-American
small-business owners. Heckuva job,
Hollywood! Here's how the poison is
spreading. A savvy marketing team at Universal/Comcast Corp. developed a web
toy that allows social media fans to customize the theatrical poster logo for
the media giant's new biopic, "Straight Outta Compton." Hundreds of
thousands of clueless users have uploaded photos of themselves and substituted
"Compton" with the names of their hometowns. Jennifer Lopez, Serena Williams, LeBron James
and Ed Sheeran are among the celebrities who helped make the meme go viral.
Youth vote-pandering GOP Florida Sen. Marco Rubio jumped on the cultural
bandwagon, too, with two obsequious messages on Twitter featuring the hashtag
"#straightouttacompton." It's a publicity coup for
rappers-turned-multimedia moguls Dr. Dre (Andre Young) and Ice Cube (O'Shea
Jackson) as they pimp the movie — named after their breakthrough 1988 album —
glorifying the rise of their band N.W.A. (Niggaz Wit Attitudes) and the
hardcore gangsta rap genre….
Bernie Sanders
Bernie Sanders: 'I Will Fight to...Make Every Public College and University in America Tuition Free’ - At an event in Oakland, Calif., on Monday, where he accepted the endorsement of the National Nurses United, Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, said he would fight as president to enact legislation making all public colleges and university in the country free. “We have legislation in, that I will fight to implement as president, that will make every public college and university in America tuition-free.
Another Democratic president
wannabe's war on women and the Democratic women who don't care about it - Forget supposed
president wannabe Donald Trump (presumed R for the moment)'s icky comments about
women in general and Megyn Kelly in particular as indicative of Republican
attitude towards women. It is actions that really count. And once again, the
Democrats are the prime action offenders in their "war on women,"
especially in the important gender pay gap battle. Steven Hayward of Powerline
blog reminds us of this, citing a report in the Washington
Free Beacon from over a year ago that proud socialist presidential aspirant
Bernie Sanders has the worst record
of equal pay in Congress. “Sen. Bernie Sanders
(I., Vt.), who caucuses with the Democrats, was the worst of the gender pay gap offenders in the
previous analysis. He remains near the bottom of the list, with the average
female salary $21,730 lower than the average salary received by men in his
office.” $21,730! A nearly $22,000 salary
increase could lift a woman out of poverty. But then she wouldn't be dependent
on the free stuff the Democrats promise their helpless poverty stricken female
voters. And
apparently the Democratic war on women is systemic. Women were also paid less than men at the Democratic
National Committee, in Obama’s White House, and on his 2012
presidential campaign.
Yeah, I know; I was surprised, too.
Donald Trump
GOP Elites
Call for Purge of Trump - In the Cleveland debate, Donald
Trump refused to commit to support whomever the Republican Party nominates in
2016. Trump would be wise to maintain
his freedom of action. For there is a plot afoot in The Washington Post
Conservative Club to purge Trump from the Republican Party before the primaries
begin. "A political party has a
right to ... secure its borders," asserts the Post's George Will, "a
duty to exclude interlopers." Will wants The Donald
"excommunicated" and locked out of all GOP debates until he kneels
and takes a loyalty oath to the nominee.
Further
Thoughts on the Trump Phenomenon - I learned a little bit
about the Donald Trump phenomenon after my appearance on Sean Hannity's Fox
News Channel show this week, as my comments led to galactic feedback on Twitter
— some positive, some negative. Hannity
showed segments of his interview with Trump and asked me and the other guests
to respond to various aspects of it. Some of the Twitter critics were upset
with Fox News, alleging that it failed to provide a balanced picture, seeing as
all three of us appeared anti-Trump. In
this case, Fox News deserves to be defended because I believe it tried to
achieve balance, as the producers indicated to me they were interested in
bringing me on for the segment partially because I had written a column
favorable to Trump.
