 Is Title IX Dead?

This commentary is based on three articles, Women Forced to Compete Against Men? Just Say No! and On Title IX, Ron DeSantis shows what principled leadership looks like, and, Lola is an Oregon Track State Champion.

This was a cartoon I posted in my article, Biden Consequences: Gender Athletics and the Left!, and for those of us who remember all the outrage expressed for so many years over the Soviet Union's cheating at the Olympics by introducing male hormones in their female athletes, and what we're seeing going on now in American athletics, makes this cartoon rich with irony.   

First of all, the passage of Title IX to promote (actually force) women's sports on America isn't the business of the federal government.  Not to mention many of the other abuses and failures the federal government has heaped on America, especially issues dealing with public health, energy production, immigration, out of control spending, and an out of control fourth branch of government, the bureaucracy, aka, the deep state.  

But what I find really amazing is the idea that decisions for murdering the unborn innocent decisions should belong at the state level, but forcing the states and sports world to make accommodation, expensive ones, involving women in sports is so important that should be a federal responsibility.  Does that sound a bit nutty to anyone besides me?  How about cowardly?  

How about this, the state should decide if murdering the innocent unborn is acceptable but the federal government will punish you if you dare to misgender men who claim to be women, and visa versa, or impede whatever activities these people want to do, and if hospitals refuse to perform genital mutilate on children the federal government will cut of Medicare payments to those hospitals. 

There's a bit of schadenfreude here as Andrea Widburg notes:

Title IX was intended to ensure that women got a chance to participate in sports. Feminists have abused it from the beginning by shutting down or underfunding campus men’s sports to force parity with women’s sports, so perhaps there’s some serious karma going on here. Nevertheless, real girls and young women are going to get really damaged, so the time for pushback is sooner rather than later.

Well, the left pushed that, and as in all things left, they eat their own.  Now the federal government has decided men who are chemically and/or surgically irreparably altered, really are women, and can compete with women, and if anyone disagrees, the federal government will punish them in some fashion. 

What happened to the limited government the founders created and envisioned?  Where is any of that in the Constitution? 

So, what's to be done?  Brian C. Joondeph says that when women are forced to compete with men, they should say no!

Imagine a large swimming or track event where the trans-athlete is the only one on the starting blocks, the remaining female competitors standing behind the blocks and refusing to compete. The woke sportscasters will be tongue-tied in how to respond and narrate the event............A group of West Virginia middle school students just said 'no' to a biologic male attempting to compete against the girls in the shot put.....The Cleveland Clinic recognizes, “Boys begin puberty sometime between the ages of 9 and 14.” Meaning the 13-year-old shot putter is well into puberty........Title IX is about biology, not identification, preferences, or what the school counselor suggests. Transgender athletes, specifically biologic men competing against biologic women, violates Title IX by discriminating on the basis of sex.......female athletes should “just say no” and refuse to compete on an uneven playing field. 

Then there's the argument if they don't compete they lose out in some way, but I think that's idiotic.  If they compete they're going to lose anyway since it's those who take the top positions who benefit, and that will be the men proclaiming they're women.  However, the left proclaims there are 112 genders and 71 ....something else's.  If all that's accepted, is it possible that could create problems?   Just a thought.

Governor Ron DeSantis has a different take on this.  Don't force these girls to make that decision.  Make the states take a stand and tell Joe Biden, the Democrats and the word salad LGBTQIA2S+ crowd to shove it, stating:

"Joe Biden trying to inject gender ideology into education, undermining opportunities for girls and women, violating parents' rights, and abusing his constitutional authority: We will not comply".

Biden’s Vicious Repeal of Women’s Rights: The Assault on Title IX, Sheri Few Mar 23, 2024,  March is Women’s History Month and ironically the month anticipated for advancing the final approval of the Title IX “Athletics” rules. The proposed rules will imperil women’s sports by protecting male athletes — the antithesis of Title IX’s intent. The changes to Title IX will result in rewriting 50 years of women’s history......

 

Brian C. Joondeph states:

..........sports stories have become all too common, representative of the new normal of our gender-confused culture where athletic organizations, high schools, and colleges don’t seem able to distinguish between boys and girls or men and women.......What a surprise. A boy runs faster than a girl in high school. They do in college and the Olympics as well.  Let’s look at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games, specifically the 200-meter run, the same event where a trans-girl (boy) won the Oregon girls state championship.

The gold medal women’s time was 21.53. Compare that to the gold medal winning men’s time of 19.62, nearly two seconds or 10 percent faster. The eighth-place man ran this distance in 20.39 seconds, still more a second faster than the winning women’s time. In other words, any man running in the final would have easily won a gold medal if they identified as a woman and competed in the women’s event.

Once again quoting Andrea Widburg:

The Founders wrote the Constitution, including the Bill of Rights, with two ideas in mind. The first was that the government would be limited, with rights and power in the people, not in the government. The second was that the three branches of government would be balanced, with each keeping an eye on the other to ensure that it stayed within its constitutional boundaries.

None of that's happening, and to fix it will require a constitutional amendment to repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments, and create term limits for the federal judiciary and members of congress.   I really like this solution, Female Athletes Sue NCAA Over “Dangerous” Tranny Policies, saying:

"..the NCAA authorized naked men possessing full male genitalia to disrobe in front of non-consenting college women and creating situations in which unwilling female college athletes unwittingly or reluctantly expose their naked or partially clad bodies to males.....They’re crying out for justice and the NCAA won’t even talk to them......The NCAA is so committed to radical gender ideology that they have completely lost concern for women’s rights.....It’s very clear that the NCAA violated the law.......The NCAA suggests that one can reduce or eliminate the performance gap [between men and women] by suppressing testosterone and that’s ludicrous from a matter of science”..........

No guts, no glory!  Coaches and administrators need stand up for their female athletes, or get out of the profession. 

Culture is King, and Values Create Culture

If there was ever an issue where WE THE PEOPLE had control over the narrative, it would be men participating in girl’s and women’s sports.

Females must refuse to participate in competitions that include men. Period. (As in what FEMALES get once a month and trans women don’t.) Aren’t you tired of seeing these headlines:

Progressives can’t even write about the topic without incorporating their mentally ill bias. Read this opening paragraph from “New Study Bolsters Idea of Athletic Differences Between Men and Trans Women” by Jeré Longman in the New York Times:

A new study financed by the International Olympic Committee found that transgender female athletes showed greater handgrip strength — an indicator of overall muscle strength — but lower jumping ability, lung function and relative cardiovascular fitness compared with women whose gender was assigned female at birth.

“Assigned female at birth?” What claptrap is that? A person is born female or male. They aren’t assigned anything, but this is the Marxist Democrat view of things and will get much worse unless we win – and win big – in 2024.

Females of all ages in all sports should REFUSE TO COMPETE until organizers create a separate trans category. Then all the men who think they are women can swim, surf, bike, run and whatever else they want to do competing among themselves.  "We the People" can do something about this insanity!

Target Playing Conservatives For Fools!

In 2023, Conservatives had it with pride this, pride that from companies that want our dollars, but don’t want to show minimal respect for our Judeo-Christian values. Besides, why is an alien lifestyle celebrated for a full month while more important recognition (such as Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Independence Day) are celebrated for just ONE DAY?

Retail giant Target was among companies targeted, primarily because of its children’s pride promotions. It’s one thing if adults choose the mentally ill route, but quite another when it’s promoted to children who aren’t mature enough to understand the consequences of cutting off their breasts or penis.

Our letters, emails and phone calls had some impact. According to CNN, Target announced it will only offer pride-themed items in select stores and NOTHING for children. For the last decade, Target had sold pride crap in every one of its locations (2,000+ stores) across the United States. So, that is a bit of a win.

However, Conservatives should not celebrate yet!

What Target is doing is removing pride merchandise where Conservatives are likely to see it. The corporate giant is still into pride, just as they’ve always been, and will continue to:

Participate in local pride events nationwide. Target’s Pride+ Business Council will host “internal events” for team members. Continue to support alphabet organizations year-round, such as the Human Rights Campaign and Family Equality. Are Conservatives maintaining the Target boycott? Leftists will do anything and everything to push through their progressive agenda, while Conservatives are often only good for the short-term.

When the boycott started in May, Target’s share price nose-dived through June. But the international retailer ended 2023 with a 7.46 percent increase on its share price. It sure doesn’t sound like the boycott was very successful. Did you go back to shopping at Target?

Assaulting Women is the New Feminism

Last year, Payton McNabb, a teenage girl, was seriously injured while playing in a high school volleyball game against a transgender male athlete in North Carolina. A year later she’s still struggling with partial paralysis and constant headaches, and has trouble learning.

If Payton expected feminist groups to side with her, she was disappointed. Instead the Feminist Majority Foundation, the nonprofit that publishes Ms. Magazine, denounced the “Fairness in Women’s Sports Act” bill meant to protect teenage girls like her.

The Feminist Majority Foundation, along with Feminist Campus, Equal Rights Advocates, Girls Inc, Women’s Legal Defense and Education Fund, Trust Women, United State of Women, and the National Organization for Women, and numerous feminist groups signed a letter attacking the federal ‘Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act’ for daring to protect women from suffering the way that Payton and other female athletes had.

A dozen organizations with “women”, “girl” or “feminist” in their names were dedicated to the proposition that womens’ sports should be eliminated and that any women or girls who play should be ready to suffer catastrophic injuries from 220-lb. ‘transgender’ male athletes.

Beating women and denying their existence is the new feminism. So is raping women.

In the wake of the Hamas rapes during the invasion of Israel on Oct 7, some have wondered where the feminist organizations are. The answer is that they’re supporting the rapists.

Feminist Front coordinated a statement claiming that “Palestine” was a “feminist issue” and complaining that “Palestinian boys and men have been falsely portrayed as bloodthirsty terrorists, rapists, and savages”. The statement was signed by the Global Women’s Strike, Feminist Uprising, Black Feminist Future, HEART: Women and Girls and other socialist organizations.

When feminist groups weren’t outright supporting the rapists, they were ducking the issue.

The few feminist groups that addressed the Hamas sexual assaults either offered generic statements, such as the National Organization of Women’s press release condemning, without any specifics, “the use of rape as a weapon of war”, or tried to split the difference, like Women for Women International equating the Hamas rapes and murders of Israeli women, to Muslim women suspected of carrying bombs being strip searched by Israeli authorities.

The Global Fund for Women “unequivocally” denounced “all forms of sexual and gender-based violence worldwide” including in “Israel and Palestine”, condemned Hamas and Israel for “the violent bombardment of Gaza” and demanded an investigation into “sexual and gender-based violence committed against Israeli and Palestinian women.”

Some feminist organizations parroted the leftist line calling for an end to Israeli attacks on Hamas. The Women’s Environment & Development Organization (WEDO), established by former Rep. Bella Abzug, the first Jewish congresswoman, republished a statement from AWID titled “feminist demand: stop the massacre in Gaza” and called for “decolonization”. WEDO issued no statement about the massacre and rape of Israeli women by Hamas Jihadists.

Anyone still surprised had not been paying attention to the trajectory of a movement that denies women exist and upholds the right of men who claim to be women to beat and even sexually assault women.

Feminist groups demand that transgender sex offenders should be locked up together with women and champion “non-carceral” and “restorative justice” solutions for rapists.

“Palestine” is a feminist issue. So are “decarceration” programs that put rapists right back on the street along with transgender sports. What isn’t a feminist issue anymore is protecting women. Asserting that women, as opposed to “bodies with vaginas”, “pregnant people” or “bleeders”, exist is now a radical position from a marginalized group of ‘TERFs’.

Feminism didn’t just turn its back on Israeli women: it turned its back on women.

Most feminist groups shifted away from criticizing the Islamic abuse of women after 9/11. And those who did not were accused of Islamophobia. It’s now routine in socialist circles to decry the “weaponization of women’s rights by the far right”. By that they mean any reference to not only Islamic misogyny, but transgenderism, crime and any issue except abortion and pay parity.

Legitimizing rape became a feminist cause long before Oct 7. Especially when perpetrated by certain groups. Social service workers and law enforcement personnel who tried to investigate Muslim sex grooming gangs in the UK were denounced as “Islamophobes.”

End Violence Against Women, a British coalition of feminist groups, for example argued that the “depiction of some forms of gender-based violence, especially FGM, as exceptionally ‘barbaric’, is similarly driven by a white supremacist worldview.” The basic position that mutilating young girls is wrong is now white supremacy leads to FGM becoming feminism.

Critics correctly note that feminism failed Israeli rape victims, but whom didn’t it fail?

Feminism now means demanding that men in dresses should have access to battered women’s shelters. There is talk among feminist scholars about opposing Title IX, the foundation of womens’ sports, because it excludes transgender men. Apart from relentlessly campaigning for abortion, what does the feminist movement even do anymore that’s related to women?

A feminist movement that won’t protect battered women, trafficked girls in Europe or womens’ sports in America is certainly not going to stick its neck out for women assaulted by Hamas.

Why should a movement that lets its own daughters be beaten care about Israeli women?

What happened to the feminist movement is fairly similar to what happened to liberal Jewish organizations in America. The particular cause was traded for the general one and groups abandoned their origins and responsibilities to chase after the latest trend in the leftist movement. There are many organizations with “Jewish” or “Women” in their name, but few that actually advocate for Jews or women. Most of these groups just use the pretzel logic of intersectionality to explain why the cause they’re fighting for, which has nothing to do with Jews or women, and is sometimes dangerous to them, is actually a Jewish or feminist cause.

And that is how you end up with Jews for Hamas and Feminists for Rape.

Vulnerable groups provide a certain cachet to a movement, but movements by design are also likely to perpetrate the same abuses that those groups were fighting against. Misogyny and antisemitism were always bound to resurface in a mass movement. The acid test was whether feminist and liberal Jewish groups would remain loyal to their mission or the movement.

They chose the movement.

The rise of Islam inverted the roles of victim and perpetrator. Anyone attacked by Islam became an oppressor. And since women and Jews are both targets of Islamic abuses, the movement accepted the moral inversion that rape and genocide were progressive, and that the oppressors were anyone who complained about terrorism and female genital mutilation.

The feminist movement let down Israeli women, American women, European women and most women. It exists now to campaign for abortion, the hijab, men entering the ladies room and the moral superiority of people from cultures where women have no rights and no freedoms.

Assaulting women is the new feminism. The real feminists are the brave and stunning men in dresses and Islamic rapists and groomers. Feminism is Hamas terrorists breaking into Israel. It’s Steve spiking a ball into a teenage girl’s face. It’s calling women “bleeders”.

Female Athletes Forced to Compete Against ‘Trans Women’ Drop Out of Martial Arts Competition Madeline Leesman

A martial arts competition changed its rules regarding transgender athletes after several female athletes dropped out of a competition over fears they would have to compete against males who identify as women.  In an interview with Reduxx, professional martial artist Jayden Alexander explained that she and other females were scheduled to compete in a tournament on Oct. 21, but dropped out when they realized how many males were involved.........Ansleigh Wilk, shared that “majority of the women feel scared to even speak out about this matter. They don’t want to be labeled a bigot or transphobic.”............Riley Gaines, who competed against transgender swimmer Will “Lia” Thomas, commented on the matter.  “In the name of inclusivity and feminism, males are brutally beating up on women and being awarded for it.”........... My Take - Finally!  This is what has been needed from the start.  Simply refusing to accept this insanity by refusing to compete with men who are clearly scamming the system, and know they're scamming the system, and getting support for their scam by a corrupt and insane media and socially destructive leftist movements. . The sad part is they shouldn't have  had to do this in the first place.   Entirely too many gutless lunatics are in charge of these organizations, much like the members of Congress.  You may wish to review Andrea Widburg's commentary,  Men are taking over women’s Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Andrea notes in her commentary that she has trained in this martial art saying:

 

"at the dojo where I trained, men and women rolled together. This means I have experience grappling with both men, who were holding back as hard as they could, and with women, who were not.  Even with their settings on low, the men were more formidable opponents than the women were. 

 

They had greater bone mass and greater muscle mass. Where women, because of biology, had a lot of space and softness between hip and head, men did not. They were solid, without a forgiving waistline or more delicate neck. Theoretically, I could have choked out one of my women partners; I could never have choked out the men, whether in theory or fact.

 

Those are biologically indisputable facts, and for anyone to push these men into women's sports is insanity or cowardice, or both, but this is the tip of the iceberg.

To Save Freedom, Defund Pro Sports

In the last few years, the “Defund the Police” cry has reverberated through many of our cities. The police are not serving our communities, we’re told, and they’re wasting taxpayer money on ineffective services and driving racism. “It’s time to get rid of them,” many yell.  They’re barking up the wrong tree. If the public wants to defund something that’s wasting money and not serving the community, then they should look toward pro sports and defund them...............

...........pro sports team owners like Rooney are just some of the robber barons of this age, although their greed makes Industrial Age billionaires like Andrew Carnegie look kind in comparison. Football barons threaten to take their teams elsewhere, goading local governments into donating millions for their stadiums without guaranteeing their teams will stay in perpetuity. The public is left with no ownership stakes, even though they paid most of the stadium costs for the team...............

Sports are also now dividing our people along racial lines, thanks to team owners catering to the views of many of their athletes. Rather than being thankful to live where athletes with an eighth grade reading comprehension can become multimillionaires simply because they can run fast or catch a ball, sports heroes across America turned their backs on the police and the government, blaming all white people for the problems of criminals like George Floyd.........To Read More....

His wife and children had the same impression and were generally impressed by how healthy the culture was here.  Not the same ugly bustle of a New York City or a Philadelphia, the facelessness of the crowds, the concern for you and yours and yours only, but a real humanity that sees a neighbor as a neighbor and asks him if he needs anything......

Yet another worm is turning, this time in the skateboarding world, By Andrea Widburg - A man who calls himself “Lillian Gallagher” was allowed to compete as a woman in the Red Bull Cornerstone Contest, which is a skateboarding contest with big cash prizes. When he won, he got the top step on the podium and $5,000. The woman who actually won the contest was told she came in second and received only $2,750. Outraged by the unfairness of being forced to compete against a mentally ill cheater, she protested the decision to let a man compete, only to be stonewalled. So now, bravely, she’s speaking out.........  

At Least 135 Educators Charged with Child Sex Crimes in 2022 Alone - By Eric Lendrum - In less than five months, at least 135 teachers, teachers’ aides, and other school employees across the country have been arrested and charged with various child sex crimes.  As reported by Fox News, the total of 135 does not account for arrests that haven’t been publicized, meaning the final total for the year 2022 thus far may be even higher. The 135 arrests have taken place across 41 states between January 1st and May 13th, averaging to about one arrest per day. Most of the suspects are men. At least 102 of the charges involved, 76 percent overall, involved crimes against students. Of the 135 suspects, 117 were teachers, 11 were aides, and 7 were substitute teachers..........

The particulars of this story apply to today’s society and the world in which we live.  Things and persons are what they are.  A tree is a tree.  You can call it a bush as often as you wish, but it is still a tree.  A fact is a fact.  You can wish it were something else, but it is still a fact.  Where am I going with this, you might ask?  Let me answer that for you.  Today, we are witnessing all too many delusional people who seem to think that if you call a man a woman, that makes him  a woman (or vice versa).  That just is not true.  I will agree that a person of either sex can dress and look like the opposite sex if they wish, but that person is simply a transvestite, since there is no way any individual can alter the sex chromosomes with which he is born................

Common sense reasserts itself for men competing in women’s sports

There once was a man named Michael Phelps who became the most decorated Olympian of all time by winning 28 medals for swimming. Twenty-three of the medals Phelps won are gold medals, which is the record for the most golds by a single athlete. Now there’s another man in swimming making waves all over America, Will Thomas. Will is not famous for his swimming ability. He swam on the University of Pennsylvania’s team, finishing second in some races and scoring some respectable times. However, he was never going to be a world-class swimmer as a man. Fortunately for Will (although not for the ladies he now competes against), he had the option of saying he’s really a girl and swimming against women. As Lia Thomas, he’s breaking records right and left and racking up victories over women who cannot possibly hope to beat him.

There’s a good reason for separating many sports into men’s and women’s divisions. It’s not a matter of opinion that men are stronger and faster than women and that there is a huge gap between how well men perform and how well women perform. Duke’s Center for Sports Law and Policy has studied real-world results in sports, comparing the differences between males and females. They find that an average gap of 10%-12% exists between males and females and that even non-elite male athletes consistently and, significantly, out-perform elite female athletes. Stadium Subsidies, Reverse Redistribution, and Cronyism

Redistribution is bad economic policy.

As the great Thomas Sowell observed, the people who finance redistribution are hurt because they get taxed for working and producing. And the people on the receiving end often are hurt because they get lured into dependency.

 

But not all forms of redistribution are equally bad.

For instance, I don’t like America’s welfare state, which redistributes from the rich to the poor.

But I utterly despise government programs that redistribute from the poor to the rich (such as the Export-Import Bank, the National Endowment for the Arts, bailouts for student loan deadbeats, ethanol subsidies, etc).

Amazingly, some politicians even want to subsidize millionaires and billionaires. It’s happening in my state!

Sarah Rankin of the Associated Press summarizes a sweetheart deal that Virginia politicians have prepared for the local NFL team (formerly the Redskins, now the Commanders).

Virginia lawmakers are advancing a measure intended to lure the Washington Commanders to the state by allowing the NFL team to forgo what could be $1 billion or more in future tax payments to help finance a potential new football stadium. The move…is intended to help Virginia secure its first major pro sports franchise. … “They’re going to go someplace. Absent some kind of incentive, they’re likely not to be here,” Tray Adams, a lobbyist representing the team, told a panel considering the legislation. …

The House and Senate passed differing versions of the measure this month with broad bipartisan support… Both versions of the legislation would create a Virginia Football Stadium Authority tasked with financing the construction of a stadium and related facilities. The nine-member authority would be allowed to issue bonds, then recapture certain tax revenues to pay down that debt. …

Virginia’s newly inaugurated Republican governor, Glenn Youngkin, seemed to throw support to the idea… In an interview with the AP, Youngkin said he hoped he and the Legislature could reach agreement on a bill that would “best reflect the interests of Virginia taxpayers and hopefully bring the Washington Commanders to Virginia.”

As a Virginia taxpayer, I can assure the Governor that it’s not in my interest if I have to pay taxes while millionaire players and a billionaire owner get a sweetheart deal.  In a column for the Washington Times, Michael Farren and John Mozena explain why taxpayers are the big losers when politicians subsidize sports stadiums.

Proving that bipartisan ideas can be just as bad as those cooked up by a single party, legislation just passed in both the Virginia House and Senate to create a “Virginia Football Stadium Authority” — a government entity that would fund construction of a new stadium… Here’s what most people don’t understand about Virginia’s multibillion-dollar proposal: …it looks like nearly all taxes — sales, corporate income and personal income — collected at the stadium and entertainment complex will go to the stadium authority, not Richmond. The stadium authority then funnels the tax revenue back to the team, meaning the legislation creates a miniature tax haven for the team owners. In other words, ..other Virginia residents and businesses will have to compensate for the fact that the Commanders will pay almost nothing at all. …three leading sports economists — J.C. Bradbury, Dennis Coates and Brad Humphreys — just threw a penalty flag. Their recent research summarizes more than 120 academic studies from the past 30 years regarding the effects of stadium subsidies… “The large subsidies commonly devoted to constructing professional sports venues are not justified as worthwhile public investments.” That confirms the results of a University of Chicago survey of some of the nation’s leading economists, including seven Nobel Laureates. The consensus was that subsidies cost communities more than they deliver in economic benefits. Only 4% disagreed. …Maybe a better team name would be the Washington Tax Demanders.

For what it’s worth, I think the Washington Leeches would have been the best name. And I’ve thought that ever since I moved to Virginia in the 1980s.

Though I confess that’s simply because so many member’s of D.C.’s parasite class root for the team.

But I’m digressing. The message of today’s column is that cronyism is bad, but the worst kind of cronyism is upside-down redistributionism that gives special preferences to the rich and powerful.

Woman manhandled and where is the outrage?

A few days ago, reality hit us between the eyes.  We saw what happens when a man competes against a woman in a wrestling match?  This is the sick story:    

Alana McLaughlin choked out Celine Provost in the second round of a Friday MMA match in Miami. On the surface, it sounds like a ho-hum competition between two no-name women. Not so. Alana is a man pretending to be a woman and has the muscular physique to prove it.  Most female MMA fighters refused to fight McLaughlin, but Provost took a loss for the LGBT crowd. Provost landed a few punches, but could not physically match the man in the octagon.

 

McLaughlin, who goes by the nickname “Lady Feral,” was a sprinter at Newberry College before he joined the military in 2003. He served in the Army Special Forces unit for seven years.  In 2016, he had anatomy surgery and has since claimed to be a woman. He's 38 now, and a formidable foe for any woman willing to challenge him.  This is the second time the MMA has foolishly allowed males to intrude on the women’s competition. Fallon Fox was the first male interloper and he whipped Elisha Helsper in 2012.

Former College Volleyball Player Sues University’s Team after Being Kicked Off for Conservative Views

A student who was removed from her college’s volleyball team is now filing a lawsuit against the school and the team, claiming that she was kicked off the team due to her conservative political views, according to Fox News.

Kylee McLaughlin was a member of the volleyball team at the University of Oklahoma. However, she says that once her conservative views became known, she was “frozen out” of the team at a social and institutional level, before being eventually kicked off altogether. She is now suing the team’s coach Lindsey Gray-Walton and assistant coach Kyle Walton, alleging an infringement on her First Amendment rights.

According to McLaughlin, the team was put through several indoctrination efforts by far-left views, including a viewing of the documentary “13th,” which claims that African-Americans are disproportionately incarcerated in the United States due to their skin color. During a team discussion following the screening, members of the team compared the incarcerations to “beatings of blacks in the 1960s.”.........To Read More.....

My Take - There's only one question that needs to be answered in this matter.  What does making the team watch a racist propaganda film have to do with soccer?  Nothing!  This is just another good reason to stop funding academia.  

 

Average transgender athletes rob exceptional girls of opportunities

The World as I See It: Celebrities Devolve America!

America has devolved into a society that thinks entertainers and professional athletes are actually important.  Yesterday they were parking cars and pumping gas and then, overnight, they're famous!  All of a sudden they're big thinkers, smart, informed, logical and treated as if their thoughts should mold the nation.  All of a sudden everyone wants their opinions on the Middle East, alternative energy, global warming, pandemics...and well... you get the idea. 

Successful actors make obscene amounts of money for mouthing words others have thought up and written.  Then others told them how to stand, how to move, how to look when they mouthed others words.   Somehow we seem to think they actually came up with all that themselves, and after a while it seems they begin to think that also.  After all, now they're famous, wealthy and they live in a world of "yes", filled with butt kissers.  How could they not be brilliant deserving of our adoration?

Yet when they express their opinions on domestic, international, environmental or medical subjects they demonstrate their unending semi-literate ignorance, mostly mouthing platitudes and narratives that are popular giving the appearance of thoughtful insight.  

Professional athletes are even worse.  Because they can run faster, jump higher, and are more coordinated than most doesn't mean they have any live brain cells.  Many of them can hardly speak coherently, or even understandably.  Are some of these people intelligent and well informed.  Of course, but this is a generalization, and it fits these groups in general. How do I know that?  Ask yourself: What do these people do after they become nobodies again?  Mostly, not much!  But how much damage do their do while at the top?  Think

Can any sane person really care what the Alex Baldwin's, the Bette Midler's or Colin Kaepernick's of the world think?  And often times what they think and say actually does promote violence, and yet they're never censored by the media over safety issues, or hate crime speech.  Why?

 

At 74 I've lived long enough to see how many famous, and successful, entertainers and athletes end up dying broke, living on the largess of the taxpayers, or others.  Why?  Because they really weren't very bright, they weren't self disciplined, and they lacked insight and understanding, both emotionally and intellectually.  They really didn't have a clue about life, and yet they wouldn't listen to anyone, in spite of the fact they couldn't control their vices, their habits, their money or their lives, and paid the penalty.  

So why does anyone listen to them?  We've lost our minds.

The three leagues offered fans a pleasant respite from daily barroom politics.  As a result, by the 21st century, the NFL, NBA and MLB had become global multibillion-dollar enterprises.

Second Weightlifting Association Rejects Transgender Claims

The leading U.S. weightlifting association has formally excluded transgender males from its women’s division, marking another win for supporters of women’s athletics. Delegates at USA Powerlifting voted 46 to 4 to keep their transgender participation policy amid pressure from well-funded transgender athletes.

“We commend USA Powerlifting in their decision to preserve women’s sports,” said a statement from Beth Stelzer, founder of Save Women’s Sports. She continued:

Some strong women and men dug in their heels in defense of the truth. It is not fair to force women to compete with men. USAPL proved it honors and values women in this sport. We won’t forget it. I encourage women and men who support this decision to let the leadership know.

Sunday is the Super Bowl.

I look forward to playing poker and watching. It's easy to do both because in a three-hour-plus NFL game there are just 11 minutes of actual football action.  So we'll have plenty of time to watch Atlanta politicians take credit for the stadium that will host the game. Atlanta's former mayor calls it "simply the best facility in the world."  But politicians aren't likely to talk about what I explain in my latest video -- how taxpayers were forced to donate more than $700 million to the owner of Atlanta's football team, billionaire Arthur Blank, to get him to build the stadium.

Serena Williams, a Pathetic Meltdown and Victimhood

Left-wingers say no criticism of tennis player Serena Williams should be allowed for her high-profile meltdown Saturday at the 2018 women's U.S. Open final because she is a double-minority – female and black – and should therefore be immune to criticism. National Organization for Women (NOW) President Toni Van Pelt launched into a fact-free rant.

“In what was a blatantly racist and sexist move, tennis umpire Carlos Ramos unfairly penalized Serena Williams in an abhorrent display of male dominance and discrimination. This would not have happened if Serena Williams was a man,” she said. “She would have been cheered and chided for ‘gamesmanship.’ Male tennis stars are reminding us that they have ‘done much worse’ and have not been penalized.”

Washington Post screed writer Sally Jenkins cried sexism, whining that a male tennis official "took what began as a minor infraction and turned it into one of the nastiest and most emotional controversies in the history of tennis, all because he couldn’t take a woman speaking sharply to him.".............Richard Ings, a professional chair umpire from 1986 to 1993, sided with Ramos...............Perhaps the most famous American temper tantrum thrower on the tennis courts is John McEnroe. My Take - Williams ranted this was unfair, she was a mother, she doesn't cheat and then demands an apology for an official doing his job, and threatens him.  Well, we now know she does cheat, and we know that because the coach admitted he was cheating....... but Williams wasn't looking.......so his cheating didn't count.  

Okay.....but he admitted he not only cheated then........... he cheats all the time.  Are we to assume she's never seen him cheating these other times?  So it turns out she does cheat, and now we know she also lies.  Then he acknowledges that all the coaches and players cheat....all the time!  So if that's the reality of professional tennis, and they all know it, and they all know it's against the rules, why are these idiots coming out in her defense?  They absolutley know she's guilty, and the umpire was right in every way. 

The fact is "her coach was was using both hands to motion to Ms. Williams to move forward and got called on it."  "It's also true that despite what many commentators have said following Saturday’s events, they are called on it quite frequently and that most of the time, players just shrug it off and know that going forward, they and their coaches now need to behave, because the next infraction will cost them a point"..........."it is actually irrelevant whether the player saw or heard whatever instructions were given; either way, it is still an infraction.  But there's no wiggle room for her breaking her racket and calling the umpire a thief and threatening him.  That's flagrant violations of the rules, and the umpire was left with no choice. 

It's not about racism, or feminism.  The fact remains she's a cheat who got caught, and fools all over the world started virtue signalling in support of a liar and a cheat who throws temper tantrums when she's not allowed to break the rules. 

I'm so sick of these overpaid, pampered snots who are being paid obscene amounts of money for playing kids games, and then acting like absolute jerks.  And Williams isn't alone.

When Robbie Alomar spit in umpire John Hirshbecks's face it was disgraceful how they tried to diminish the event, and even Alomar's initial apology was an attempt to put the blame on Kirshbeck because his son was dying.  Eventually they patched it all up, but why in the world wasn't Alomar suspended from baseball for the rest of the season?  

He says Kirshbeck called him a name, which Kirshbeck denied.  Why didn't everyone hear him being called that name?  I don't remember anyone coming forward to support Alomar's contention. 

When he was in Cleveland we witnessed some of the greatest baseball from a second baseman ever, especially since he was teamed up with one of the great short stops of Indians history, Omar Visquel.  It wasn't sports when those two matched up - it was art.  But in the locker room Alomar was poison.  He was a petty jerk shooting off his mouth causing trouble all the time.  Here's the Kirshback story.

As a side bar, Alomar's real punishment was from his mother, and I would believe his brother Sandy, who was such a class act he was given a standing ovation when he came back to Cleveland playing for another team.  His new teammates came out of the dugout in amazement.  I've never seen that before, and since I don't watch sports of any kind any longer, I'm unlikely to see it again. 

Is it any wonder I stopped watching sports altogether.   There are entirely too many Robbie Alomars and not many Sandy Alomars.   

There is one upside to this.  We're not married to Williams.
