It's The Discipline Stupid!

Over at American Thinker Joseph Cotto published this piece, The Problem With Leftist Women noting:

Leftist women show a striking tolerance for infidelity that sets them apart from their conservative counterparts.

He went on to describe the differences between women with traditional values versus the hypocrisy of these leftist harridans, which exposes the real issue behind their lack of happiness.  It's their lack of discipline that creates their unhappiness.  They lack discipline because they lack stable foundational values.  Adults in many ways are just large children. 

Brats are out of control children whose parents refuse to place or enforce borders on their conduct.  Children need structure.  Borders need to be put in place and enforced in order for them to be content…… and on an emotional level they actually want those borders.   Children are bad for a reason; it's the job! It's the job of parents to straighten them out. How else can they understand their are some things that are unacceptable otherwise?   That's when values are created.  

Well…truth be told, that desire for structure, values and understanding is genetic, and that need never really goes away.  When that need isn't fulfilled you get a life filled with chaos.  

The left has created a mentality of “if it feels good do it”!  In women they promoted a mentality of “you can have it all”, and "we don't need men".  Once they embraced that they threw all the traditional values out the window, irrespective of the inevitable negative consequences.  Huge numbers of women in western civilization have bought into it, and they keep making the same wrong decisions over and over again. 

This has been the consequence of leftist schemes to destroy the foundational structure of a stable society, the family.  As a destabilized society is far more easier to take over and control, which is the real goal of leftists. 

These attitudes expressed by leftist women in this article are antithetical to what men actually want, and as time goes by men are becoming acutely aware they’re on the dirty end of the stick.  They're tired of it, and it’s genetic! 

When it comes to women, young men are stupid, but most will get over that with time.  But women are all Eve’s daughters, and for these leftist misfits, time is not on their side.   These younger men who are embracing this insanity will at some point be over 30, and when that happens the brain restructures itself, and a large number of them will become far more conservative, will find and marry women with traditional values, and these leftist women will be all alone, and hopefully their genetic code will be lost to time.

 

Is it the Drugs? It Must Be the Drugs!

On January 22, 2024 Jack Hellner,  who I think is really an excellent writer and one of the best social analysts out there  (clearly a conservative)  published this article, Are Democrats really for a woman’s ‘right’ to choose?, asking if their "rallying cries of “justice” and “freedom” are just catchy slogans perfectly suited for unthinking and manipulatable masses"?  He goes on to say:

If you look far and wide, you won’t find many policies that lend credence to the notion that Democrats really believe that women should have the freedom of choice in how they live their lives..........Democrat policies are not about freedom, they just pervert the word for their agenda; the policies of Trump and other Republicans are better for everyone, but especially women and minorities, because they give more freedom, power, and money to the people.

Whether it's women, or any other demographic in America, it's hard to believe so many Americans still think that's the party of their grandfathers. It's really hard to understand why so many women, especially those who are Jews, Catholics, and blacks remain the backbone of that party. Everything the Democrat party stands for is antithetical to their best interests, both men or women of those demographics. 

Everything they run is a disaster.  They've turned America’s greatest cities into sewers of crime, violence, and economic disaster.  Didn't they notice that?  Yet those residents of those cities keep voting for those who are destroying their cities, forcing them to live lives of fear and trembling.  

In Oakland, California an iconic, successful, and profitable burger joint is closing because their customers are openly being robbed and threatened by thugs and the police are doing nothing about it, and considering the Democrat party's

I really wonder why so many people who have become materially successful, men and women, remain supporters of those who promote central economic planning, much higher taxes, more government control, more government intrusion and interference, unbridled spending, corruption, and a two tiered justice system, and believe all that's good economics?  History has shown....... It isn't..... It's Marxism.

 

Name one nation that embraced Marxism that was successful.  There's not a one.  That's history, that history is openly available and that history is incontestable, and yet there it is, they still give untold millions to the Dems. How did so many ignorant stupid people become so wealthy? 

I offer up Ackman the Barbarian as an example. After their attack on his wife he had a DEI epiphany, and you would think he had become enlightened, but nooooo, he still remains a Democrat giving a million dollars to Dem. Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota, to run against Biden.  A politician from a state that's a hot bed of leftist contamination.  Let's understand this.  Biden isn't the problem, it's the culture he represents, Biden is the symptom.  Even if Phillips changes parties to run on the " ticket, he's still a man of left, and part of the culture of the left.   As Herodotus outlined:  Culture is king, and leftism is Satanic in principle and practice, a culture of hate, envy, greed, lust, and violence.

Anyone who tells me they're an adherent of a "No Labels" political movement, I already know one of three things. They're lying, they're delusional, or their stupid, and probably all three.  And for the leaders of such a movement:  I believe they must be such world class grifters they make "The Yellow Kid", the world's greatest grifter, look honest.

Finally: I wonder how much drugs it takes to maintain that level of delusional stupidity? Otherwise I have no explanation for what's going on in their minds.  It must be the drugs.

The Faux Science of Gender Dysphoria

Throw out your dog-eared copies of Animal Farm and 1984. Begone, Hunger Games -- they are so yesterday. Dystopia is here, right here in the USA, accompanied by its handmaiden: the faux science of gender dysphoria.

Egregious and unconscionable are the venal Left’s obsession with faux gender dysphoria and their rush to chop off, chemically alter, and otherwise destroy mixed-up preteens and teens’ bodies, minds, and sexual lives forever. 

Where is common sense? Where is the empirical evidence of the transformations that occur during puberty -- especially for girls? 

At about approximately ten, eleven, or twelve years of age, a young girl is just that, a young girl without adult body parts. Suddenly, everything the young girl felt and knew about her body evaporates, as she molts from childhood into puberty. Gone are the carefree years, when a young girl does not fret about the potential for embarrassing mishaps at certain times of the month: especially when in junior and senior high school.

Concomitant with this transformative era in a young girl’s life is her pulling away from the parental cocoon. Intense friendships are formed with other girls, who become confidants, seen as besties for life, and serve as a protective barrier as the young girls contend with the confusing onset of male attention. While these young girls passionately share their lives with girlfriends, those associations are not, in the overwhelmingly vast majority of cases, sexual. Rather they represent the friendships formed in the in-between stage between childhood parental control and autonomy as a young adult.

Puberty brings physical and emotional changes that can shock one’s sense of well-being. And instead of our society now nurturing and shepherding the girl through normal transition, it attributes, supports, and fosters a suggestion of gender dysphoria with all its attendant dire consequences. Therefore, it is not surprising that America is experiencing an uptick in suicides, and a sharp rise in young girls who experience sexual dysphoria.

Only a few short decades ago, the journey from childhood to puberty was understood as naturally transitional and defined quite differently. A female pre-teen or teen with an athletic mindset was called a tomboy. A female preteen or teen who liked guns might be referred to as “Annie Oakley.” A Brownie or Girl Scout who aggressively worked towards winning badges was not an angry female, but a team leader. In all these examples, she was not perceived as a girl yearning to be a boy, with such persistence that she altered her body permanently. And left to rue the consequences for the rest of her life.

There are many culprits: in public education, in the medical professions, and in Big Pharma. Worse, parents are often left in the dark until it is too late.

Finally, enough pundits are bringing this travesty into the public arena. One can only hope the attendant gender dysphoria money train will be derailed, and puberty will be treated and guided as the normal life cycle transition it always has been.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words!

One of the things everyone really does need to get, there's a difference between traditional wisdom and conventional wisdom.  Conventional wisdom is what everyone assumes to be truth today, and that's a changeable as the weather in Cleveland, Ohio.  Traditional wisdom has stood the test of time.

The pictures below tell the story of leftist conventional wisdom, and just  how fast it can change because leftism has no moral foundation other than say and do whatever it takes to confuse the masses into giving them power to control all our lives.  Foundationaly, leftism is predicated on hate, envy, greed, corruption, violence and leaves devastation and dystopia in it's wake.  Name one nation taken completely over by the left which hasn't demonstrated that.  There's a reason why 80% of Hong Kong residents want to leave since the CCP took over.

These pictures merely demonstrates conventional wisdom needs to be challenged, regularly, often and fearlessly, because time and truth are on the same side.

Common sense reasserts itself for men competing in women’s sports

There once was a man named Michael Phelps who became the most decorated Olympian of all time by winning 28 medals for swimming. Twenty-three of the medals Phelps won are gold medals, which is the record for the most golds by a single athlete. Now there’s another man in swimming making waves all over America, Will Thomas. Will is not famous for his swimming ability. He swam on the University of Pennsylvania’s team, finishing second in some races and scoring some respectable times. However, he was never going to be a world-class swimmer as a man. Fortunately for Will (although not for the ladies he now competes against), he had the option of saying he’s really a girl and swimming against women. As Lia Thomas, he’s breaking records right and left and racking up victories over women who cannot possibly hope to beat him.

There’s a good reason for separating many sports into men’s and women’s divisions. It’s not a matter of opinion that men are stronger and faster than women and that there is a huge gap between how well men perform and how well women perform. Duke’s Center for Sports Law and Policy has studied real-world results in sports, comparing the differences between males and females. They find that an average gap of 10%-12% exists between males and females and that even non-elite male athletes consistently and, significantly, out-perform elite female athletes. Exec of #MeToo Group That Covered for Biden’s Sex Abuse Heads His Council to Protect Women

 When Hollywood wanted to divert attention from its sexual abuse of women, it created Time’s Up and staffed it with political hacks from the Obama administration.

Time’s Up was built as a rival to the decentralized social media #MeToo movement. Replacing social media outrage driven by random people with a formal organization funded by Hollywood capital and controlled by the Democrat non-profit sector could prevent another Weinstein mess.

Despite being backed by Hollywood millionaires, the organization’s legal defense fund launched what became the largest fundraiser on GoFundMe: totaling almost $25 million. But critics pointed out that Time’s Up’s money was mostly going to salaries, rather than to victims.

There was even more outrage when Time’s Up Now co-sponsored a retreat at a spa filled with agents from CAA: a powerful talent agency backing Time’s Up which had been accused of covering up Weinstein's crimes. Rose McGowan, a key #MeToo figure, tweeted, “Times Up A vile PR stunt, a front for evil CAA & other human traffickers like Weinstein.”

In 2019, Lisa Borders, the CEO of Time's Up, was forced to resign when her son, a formerly homeless yoga instructor, was accused of groping one of his clients during a "healing" session. Borders explained that she was resigning because she wanted to defend her son, but still got paid $591,000 for half a year’s work as part of a “severance agreement” with the group.

Borders was replaced by Tina Tchen, Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff, who spent 2020 tanking what was left of the little credibility that the Obama/Hollywood front group still had.

Oprah Winfrey had helped launch #TimesUp with a Golden Globes speech declaring, “Their time is up” and she also hosted an interview with Time’s Up leaders on CBS: whose former CEO, Les Moonves, had been TV’s own version of Harvey Weinstein. The Time's Up celebs that Oprah interviewed, Shonda Rimes, and Natalie Portman, had not been assaulted by Harvey Weinstein. Or anyone. (McGowan also rightly blasted Portman's theatrics.)

But when a documentary about the women alleging that they had been raped by Russell Simmons, a celebrity hip-hop producer who was also a pal of racist Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, was close to release, Oprah Winfrey pulled out, under pressure from Simmons.

Time’s Up not only joined Oprah in refusing to support the victims, but allegedly started a whispering campaign to sabotage the documentary. A Hollywood Reporter investigation tied together Tina Chen and the role of former Obama consoligere Valerie Jarrett, and noted that, “$2.9 million of Time's Up gross receipts in 2018 came from three undisclosed donors.”

But the complete collapse of Time’s Up came when Tara Reade accused Joe Biden of sexual assault. Reade had initially reached out to people at Time's Up only to be told that the organization legally couldn't support her because Biden was a political candidate. President Trump was also a political candidate, but that hadn’t stopped Time’s Up from attacking him.

The same organization that recently put out a statement by Tina Tchen headlined, “Donald Trump Must Be Removed From Office”, claimed that it couldn’t speak out against Biden for legal reasons. The legal reasons were a joke, but the political ones were there for everyone to see.

Tchen managed to praise Biden for having the right response to the allegations. This wasn’t surprising as Time’s Up was populated by former Obama people, and in a glaring conflict of interest, its public relations were being handled by Biden advisor Anita Dunn. Beyond being Biden’s “decision-making authority”, Dunn had also provided advice to Harvey Weinstein.

“I actually cried a little because I felt really betrayed,” Reade had said. “They never told me that their public relations was run by Anita Dunn. I found out in real-time reading Ryan’s article. I gave them so much personal information and they say they didn’t give it to Biden. But come on. They said they had firewalls or something.”

Time’s Up said lots of things. But then it did very different things.

The Chief Strategy and Policy Officer for Time’s Up, Jennifer Klein, maxed out her donations to Biden. Klein, a former Obama and Clinton vet, has now been appointed by Biden as the co-chair of Biden’s new White House Gender Policy Council, alongside Julissa Reynoso, Jill Biden’s Chief of Staff, an Obama ambassador, and a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow.

The White House Gender Policy Council is tasked in Biden’s executive order with, among a multitude of other things, combatting “sexual harassment”. The Council is expected to throw out policies by former Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos that protected the due process rights of students who had been accused of sexual misconduct on college campuses.

Had Biden faced the same lack of due process as the average college student, he would have been immediately found guilty. But Time’s Up insisted that there was no organization that existed to try Biden. Instead it would be up to the voters to pass judgement on his “character”. That was a convenient rationalization for refusing to stand with the women accusing Biden.

Now Klein, who was donating to the abuser, will head up Biden’s program to protect women. Except of course those women who might decide to come forward and accuse her boss.

Time’s Up had always existed to silence actual victims on behalf of influential Democrats. It was a partnership between Hollywood and Obama operatives. Rolling executives of Time’s Up into Biden programs just makes the arrangement public.

Klein combined her time at Time’s Up with serving as co-chair of the Women and Families Policy Committee for the campaign of an accused sexual abuser. Now the Biden campaign elevated her campaign role to an administration role. And, in an interview with Ms. Magazine, Tina Tchen touted Klein as “an expert on both domestic and global gender issues”.

“The policy of this administration is that every individual, every student is entitled to a fair education — free of sexual violence — and that all involved have access to a fair process,” Klein argued.

Fair process and due process are not the same thing. A due process protects the rights of the accused while a fair process is in the eye of the beholder. Equity dispenses with due process and replaces it with bias that is only ‘fair’ if you believe that society is fundamentally unfair.

Of course we already know the outcome.

Tina Tchen had already tweeted that due process rules for accused abusers on campus are wrong and the National Women's Law Center, which administers the Time's Up Legal Defense Fund, had sued to stop student accusers from being cross-examined after an accusation.

The Biden administration will move to ban cross-examination of campus accusers, but when Reade accused Biden of sexual assault, she was cross-examined and then smeared in the media, while Biden was hardly ever asked about any of the allegations of sexual misconduct.

That’s the ‘fair’ standard of Time’s Up in action.

Accuse a random student and you have the right to be believed without being cross-examined, but if you accuse Biden, you have the right to be cross-examined without ever being believed.

Believe Reade or don’t, Biden’s inappropriate conduct with women has been captured on video. It’s not hard to find photos and video clips of him inappropriately touching women and girls. That might be one reason he chose to rename the White House Council on Women and Girls that Tina Tchen had headed for Obama to the White House Gender Policy Council headed by Klein.

The existence of women and girls is routinely denied by lefties who insist on using euphemisms like “menustrators” (She the People), “chest-feeders” (NHS), and “people with vaginas” (Planned Parenthood) and by Biden, one of whose first moves was to effectively eliminate women’s sports. Now women have also been erased from the Council on Women and Girls.

And who better to oversee this on behalf of a sexual abuser than a senior figure in an organization that exists to insulate powerful Democrats from the women accusing them.

The War On Women's Sports: Man Wins Women's Cycling Race

Men who identify as women often have a distinct physiological advantage over their fellow female opponents that cannot be denied

Sherry Mix puts in 10 to 15 hours a week training for elite-level mountain and fat-tire bike races in the region. The Verona, Wis. woman says it’s hard work but rewarding to the women who ride.

But as “equity” politics are further infused into just about every aspect of life, including competitive sports, cyclists like Mix are forced to compete on an unequal course. Last month, Mix finished third in a Snow Crown Fat Bike Series event in De Pere billed Fattyshack. The winner of the USA Cycling-sanctioned event was Kenzie Statz, a cyclist who was born male and now identifies as a transgender woman.

Statz beat the second-place finisher by about two minutes, and was about three minutes faster than Mix. But the transgender cyclist finished more than 10 minutes ahead of the next closest competitor.   Statz has been finishing in the money in a number of races. No Flies on Hillary

 “Let me just start out by saying that so much of what he just said is not right,” Hillary began.

And then while 63 million people watched, a member of Musca domestica, or the common housefly, landed and perched near her eye.

Trump had just wrapped up a thorough takedown of the Clintons and their abuse of women. “There’s never been anybody in the history politics in this nation that’s been so abusive to women,” he said. The camera cut to a stone-faced Bill Clinton sitting unmoving in the VIP box.

“Hillary Clinton attacked those same women and attacked them viciously. Four of them here tonight. One of the women, who is a wonderful woman, at 12 years old, was raped at 12. Her client she represented got him off, and she’s seen laughing on two separate occasions, laughing at the girl who was raped. Kathy Shelton, that young woman is here with us tonight,” he said.

Kathy Shelton had been beaten and raped into a coma by Hillary’s client. On tape, Hillary could be heard laughing as she recalled how she had gotten her rapist off while accusing Kathy of making it all up.

“I think she should be ashamed of herself,” Trump concluded. The audience applauded. ABC’s Martha Raddatz, Hillary’s venomous proxy among the debate moderators, sourly told the audience to shut up.

With her patented false chuckle, Hillary launched into her rebuttal as the fly perched on her.

The media, which can take a story about Hillary laughing about the rape of a 12-year-old girl (Vox: She did it for the Constitution) or leaving Americans to die at the hands of her Muslim terrorists in Benghazi and then lying about (The New York Times: It was a spontaneous protest) jumped into action.

CBS dug deep into its vault of stupid and declared that the fly was really a Native American totem “delivering a unique message” to help her “steady her emotions” after Trump’s attack. The “Tiffany Network” based this on a source which claims to have “life-long abilities” connecting with people, through “telepathy, energy awareness, clairvoyance and clairsentience”.

“Was it nature’s way of delivering a message to the Democratic nominee?” CBS asked.

In the bleary eyes of the press, even the fly landing on Hillary was the universe’s way of helping her against Trump. One might even say that the fly was an honorary member of the mainstream media trying to convey messages of reassurances from the media’s posh dungheap.

A quote from a less New Age source that went viral on social media however came from the Talmud; “The evil spirit is like a fly that lies at the door of the human heart.” Rav, the Talmudic scholar, used Ecclesiastes 10:1 as his source, "Dead flies make the ointment of the perfumer fetid and putrid".

King Solomon went on to write, "Dead flies make the ointment of the perfumer fetid and putrid; so doth a little folly outweigh wisdom and honor. A wise man's understanding is at his right hand; but a fool's understanding at his left.” Underneath Hillary’s favorite perfume (“Angel” by Thierry Mugle) is the smell of putrefaction that attracts flies. Her understanding is that of the left and the left is an evil foolishness.

The 15th century Spanish Jewish scholar, Rabbi Arama, wrote in the Akeidas Yitzchak, that, “He who prefers the rewards that originate from the left side is foolish” because they provide only “transient values”. Transient values are mortal. Unlike wisdom and honor, they perish swiftly.

The folly of the Clintons has outweighed any wisdom and honor they might have had. They have gained enormous wealth and prestige, yet even their own supporters despise their rottenness.

The only creature attracted to them is the fly.

The fly is a carrion symbol. It is drawn to dead and dying things. Even in the Native American legends that CBS desperately tried to invoke to turn the fly into a positive symbol it is the creature that brought death into the world. Putrefaction is what the Clintons brought to America. The fly is their perfect symbol. They are greedy creatures of rot, surrounded by filth and wallowing in their own vileness.

Hillary Clinton has presided over massive theft, corruption and the complete collapse of our foreign policy. From her modest days of turning $1,000 in cattle futures back in Arkansas into $100,000 with a little help from some key influential friends, she moved up to delivering six figure speeches to anyone willing to invest in Clinton futures in Washington D.C.

The Clintons raked in $153 million in speaking fees alone. Is there anyone who has sat through a Hillary speech this election season and thought that it was worth 50 cents, let alone the $280,000 paid by Germany’s Deutsche Bank, the $335,000 paid by the Biotechnology Industry Organization or the $325,000 paid by the National Automobile Dealers Association?

Those weren’t speaking fees. They were illegal campaign contributions.

And then there’s the Clinton Foundation, a gargantuan organization where the revenues run to $149 million a year, and whose real mission was to function as a slush fund for the Clinton campaign. As a charity, the Clinton Foundation was incredibly useless. It spent a small percentage of its loot on anything resembling charity. Much of the money went to employing key Clinton people like Huma Abedin.

Even when the Clinton Foundation tried to perform its good deed for the year, it cut corners on charity to keep up its core mission of getting Hillary into the White House. It shipped AIDS medicines that had been banned in the United States to the Third World. Haitians protested outside Hillary’s office over the millions that had been raised for Haiti, but got funneled to Hillary pals like Warren Buffett instead.

As Secretary of State, she presided over the complete collapse of national power and influence. When she took office, America was taken seriously around the world. When she left office, we were a joke.

Russia and China had succeeded in smacking around our allies and expanding their territory. They escalated their hacking campaigns into cyberwarfare attacks that stole our most vital secrets. Islamic terrorists took control of much of the Middle East. They murdered one of our ambassadors and attacked our embassies and missions. And the Clintons kept on getting richer from their dirty deals.

While the People’s Republic of China pushed aggressively into the South China Sea and launched cyberwarfare attacks against us, Bill Clinton took home $200,000 from its organs, including the Chinese Ministry of Information Industry. The Ministry is believed to have played a role in PRC hacking attacks.

Before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Clintons and their shell Foundation had pocketed $145 million from them. Bill Clinton was paid $500K for a speech by a bank linked to the FSB, the secret organization formerly known as the KGB. It was quite a Moscow comeback for Bill from his original trip there that had also been conducted under the auspices of individuals and groups linked to the KGB.

The Clintons are attracted to corruption the way that flies are drawn to offal. The media can spot no flies on Hillary. Its fact checkers excuse every scandal. They even invent a positive spin for a fly landing on her. The ordinary fly visiting Hillary may hold no special meaning. But flies are notoriously attracted to rotting things. And no political figures in this country are as rotten to the core as the Clintons.

The media may not be able to scent the rot of the Clintons, but a humble housefly can.

Judge lets Muslim force 14-year-old Christian girl to marry him, make her convert

Believers in Jesus fear precedent will trigger wave of abductions

A ruling from high court judges in Pakistan has allowed a Muslim to force a 14-year-old girl to marry him.  And since the girl was Christian, the ruling also is allowing the Muslim to force the girl's "conversion" to Islam.  It is Morning Star News that is reporting on the case involve Huma Younus, who was "taken" from her home in Karachi's Zia Colony on Oct. 10.  Her parents were away at the time.

The man who abducted her, identified in the report as Abdul Jabbar of Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab Province, has faced a court case requesting that the forced marriage and conversion be overturned because of the Sindh Child Marriage Restraint Act of 2013, which declares marrying a person under 18 years old in an offense punishable by three years in jail. This geeky image is at odds with the way that many girls see themselves. Work from our lab shows that when high school girls see Star Trek posters and video games in a computer science classroom, they are less interested than boys in taking the course.  

When the classroom is devoid of décor, girls still opt out. It is only when an alternate image of computer science is presented by replacing geeky objects with art and nature posters that girls become as interested as boys. 

All this matters a great deal because optional courses not only reinforce current gender divides—they magnify them. Because boys are more likely to opt in to pre-college experiences with computer science, when they get to college, they dominate introductory courses. Girls who come in without the same knowledge tend to believe they are worse at computer science and not cut out for the field.

If a woman/teen girl/young girl shows an interest in the STEM fields, she better get used to geeky men who like geeky things like Star Trek and sci-fi. It goes with the territory. Why? Women in physics: Why there’s a problem and how we can solve it

The title above and the excerpt below show that people with nothing better to do are still chewing away at this old issue -- even though all the attempted "solutions" have failed -- as they admit below.

But the first issue is surely why it matters.  There are many women in physics so clearly those who are inclined towards a physics career can have one if they give it priority.  There is certainly a lot of official encouragement of it.  So the issue is not whether women can contribute to physics.  Many can and do. What is at issue is the PROPORTION of women in physics.  So why does THAT matter? The proportion of women in physics is low but what is lost by that?

Feminists claim glibly that many valuable potential contributions to physics by women are not being made and see that as the loss to us all.  But where is the evidence for that? Given that there are large numbers of women already in physics could it not be that those women who have a serious avocation for physics are already there?  It certainly seems possible so the feminist claim seems nothing more than an unproven assertion.  Some proof would be nice -- but I am not holding my breath.

But feminists are routinely uninterested in proof for their various assertions so my call for proof in this matter will cause eye-rolling only.

So the real motivation for concern would appear to be the old falsehood that all men are equal -- and women are just as equal.  If that were true it would make some sense to expect equal representation of women in  all occupations whatsoever.  But it isn't true. All men are different, not equal and men and women are systematically different too.  The fact that different proportions of men and women are found in almost all occupations is ample evidence of that.  When do we let the evidence count?

And the relevant difference between men and women in physics is plain to see.  Physics is math-intensive and women are woefully outnumbered in the top tiers of mathematical ability.  The leptokurtic distribution of female IQ -- and mathematical ability in particular -- makes the small average difference between male and female mathematical ability translate into a large difference in absolute numbers at the top of the range. Some women have made and will continue to make significant contributions to physical knowledge and understanding but they will ALWAYS be a small minority in physics.  Given the different abilities between men and women on average, it cannot be otherwise.  Attempts to "solve" the difference are flailing at the wind. Flailing will continue to go on but it will be just as unsuccessful in the future as it has been in the past.

 

Finally, I must say something about the specific article below. They mention the paper by the terminally incorrect Alessandro Strumia. But in all the condemnations of his wickedness that I have seen (e.g. here), nobody mentions the powerful statistical evidence he presented. They content themselves with emotional reactions -- which is one of the things Strumia accused them of!  Here is one of his graphs, showing how much more the work of male physicists is cited compared to the work of female physicists. 

Citations are the normal criterion of excellence throughout academe.  You can get a less extreme difference by including  arXiv articles, as Hossenfelder does, but such articles are not not peer-reviewed so that one has to resort to them to elevate the work of women is in itself something of a defeat.  Given their unknown quality, it seems likely that they are most often cited only to rebut them.

So how do the authors below reply to Strumia's careful research?  By mentioning that only three woman had received the Nobel prize in physics in the 117-year history of that prize. I would have thought that that fact rather supported Strumia! But in any case, thinking that selected instances can invalidate an average is a profoundly unmathematical way of thinking so is in itself surely an example of why women rarely do well in physics.  With friends like that ....

Islamic law allows a man to have four “permanent” and as many “temporary” wives as he desires, and of course without his first wife’s permission. The legal age of marriage for girls has been dropped to 9. ISIS is evil incarnate, an organization whose abuses are multiplying by the day. Many now know of the reports of ISIS selling young women as slaves, the mass annihilation of children, capturing and then raping women, the public rape and then beheading of Christian women, crucifixions and beatings, homosexuals being thrown off buildings; videos of Christians in orange jumpsuits being slaughtered on a beach, and a horrific video of a captured Jordanian pilot burning to death after ISIS starved him and smothered him with gas.  Just when we thought ISIS couldn’t stoop any lower, now we uncover a new layer of horror. There are trustworthy reports that ISIS is killing disabled children, especially those with Down syndrome or congenital deformities.

The report comes from Mosul Eye, which is a well-respected historical undercover blog and Facebook page reporting on the ISIS takeover of Mosul, a city in Iraq. Despite threats by ISIS that they would invent a new way to kill him, this anonymous reporter has bravely persevered with the express goal of informing the West about the horrors of ISIS rule and how it has changed everything -- leaving a vastly different culture where even orphan children are being radicalized.

Now, 38 children are known to have been murdered after a special fatwa -- or religious decree -- was issued against them. Apparently the decree was to “kill newborn babies with Down Syndrome and congenital deformities and disabled children.” Infants from one week to three months old faced lethal injection or suffocation. Obama quietly seeking to cede U.S. oceans to U.N. law

President Obama’s ambitious plan for stepped up government regulation of the oceans includes an unreported effort to cede U.S. oceans to United Nations-based international law, WND has learned. The plan was previously a pet project of Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, whose ocean-zoning scheme was partnered with a globalist group that also aimed to hand over U.S. oceans to U.N. governance…….It calls for an executive order to be issued for a National Ocean Policy that will determine how the ecosystem is managed while giving the federal government more regulatory authority over any businesses that utilize the ocean…..based on the recommendations of Obama’s Interagency Ocean Policy Taskforce, created in 2010 also by executive order.

The agency is tasked with recommending specific actions for a presidential plan to achieve the vision of “an America whose stewardship ensures that the ocean, our coasts, and the Great Lakes are healthy and resilient, safe and productive, and understood and treasured so as to promote the well-being, prosperity, and security of present and future generations.”…..The entire third section of the report recommends that the U.S. join the U.N.’s Law of the Sea Convention….The Task Force strongly and unanimously supports United States accession to the Convention on the Law of the Sea and ratification of its 1994 Implementing Agreement. The Law of the Sea Convention is the bedrock legal instrument governing activities on, over and under the world’s oceans.

Obama lawyer: Birth certificate irrelevant to eligbility

You won't believe judge's opinion of disputed document - An attorney representing Barack Obama has argued in court to prevent the long-form birth certificate image that was released by the White House nearly a year ago from being placed into evidence.  It was on April 10 at a three-hour eligibility hearing before a New Jersey administrative law judge that the argument came from Alexandra Hill. She is legal counsel representing Obama’s re-election campaign, and argued then that New Jersey law does not require Obama to present a valid birth certificate to establish his qualifications under Article 2, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution to be on the New Jersey Democratic Party primary ballot. Hill repeatedly explained to Judge Jeff S. Masin that, “We do not believe the president’s birth certificate is relevant to this case.” Agreeing with Hill, Masin ruled in a written opinion the same day that New Jersey law does not require Obama to produce any proof he is eligible to be president in order to be placed on the primary ballot.

Canada frustrated by ‘radical environmentalists’’ control over Washington
Canada is upset that Washington special-interest groups are thwarting the Keystone XL pipeline, Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird told The Cable, forcing the country to move forward to find other customers for its oil. "There's a great deal of frustration, less with the administration and more that the future prosperity of our country could lie in the hands of some radical environmentalists and special interests," Baird said in a Thursday interview in Washington. "That causes us great concern, so we want to look to diversify our markets, whether that be with Japan, Korea, or China, which has expressed a great interest." U.S. President Barack Obama rejected TransCanada's permit application to build the pipeline in January after being compelled to issue a quick decision on the application by congressional legislation. He had received pressure from environmental groups, which had organized protests around the country opposing the construction of the pipeline.

With over 85 Sharia law bodies operating in the UK, the majority of which charge vulnerable and impoverished Muslim women astronomical fees, Sharia law bodies have become successful and lucrative businesses…..If we consider the additional legal disputes they rule upon it is likely some Sharia law bodies have an annual turnover of over £500,000.

Guilty of Insulting Islam
Last October, Ernest Perce was marching in a Halloween parade in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, dressed up as a zombie version of the prophet Mohammed when he was physically confronted by Talaag Elbayomy, a Muslim immigrant who found his costume offensive. According to Perce, Elbayomy grabbed him, chocked him, and then tried to rip off the “Mohammed of Islam” sign that Pence wore around his neck. Elbayomy later admitted to a police officer on the scene that he had tried to grab the sign, believing that it was a crime in the United States to insult Mohammed. But when Pence brought criminal harassment charges against Elbayomy, the district judge, Judge Mark Martin, dismissed the case. More outrageously, he proceeded to lecture Perce in a stunningly ignorant fashion about his rights under the First Amendment. After claiming that the First Amendment was intended “so that we could speak what’s on our mind, not to piss off other people and cultures,” and informing Perce that in Muslim countries causing such offense to Islam “could be punished by death, and frequently is,” the judge in effect blamed Pence rather than his attacker. “You are way outside your bounds of First Amendment rights,” the judge concluded. Since then, the judge’s comments (which he does not deny making) have touched off a national firestorm of criticism and controversy.

The Taliban’s Poisoning of Afghan Schoolgirls

In a recent effort to prevent their attendance at school, the Taliban poisoned nearly 150 Afghan schoolgirls, marking just the latest atrocity in a litany of barbaric acts the Islamist terror group continues to inflict upon the women and girls of Afghanistan. The afflicted girls — all of whom suffered severe nausea, headaches, and dizziness — had become poisoned after drinking contaminated water from jugs in their classrooms at their high school in Afghanistan’s northern province of Takhar. Many of the students were taken to a local hospital where some were listed in critical condition. Fearing retribution, some school officials were initially reluctant to assign blame to any particular group for the chemical attack, with one simply saying, “This is either the work of those who are against girls’ education or irresponsible armed individuals.” However, Afghan police investigators were somewhat more conclusive stating that they “strongly suspected” a water supply truck at the girls’ school had been poisoned by Taliban insurgents as “an intentional act to poison schoolgirls.”

Five Myths of the ‘Racist’ Criminal Justice System

Calling America’s criminal justice system “racist” is not confined to “civil rights leaders” like the Revs. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Then-Sen. Barack Obama, during the 2008 presidential campaign, said it, too. Blacks and whites, said Obama, “are arrested at very different rates, are convicted at very different rates (and) receive very different sentences … for the same crime. When the man who became president of the United States says this — the No. 1 law enforcement officer — it must, therefore, be true.
Let’s examine five major assumptions behind this assertion.

1. Blacks are arrested at higher rates compared to whites — but wrongly so.
2. Blacks are convicted at higher rates and given longer sentences than whites for the same crime.
3. The sentence disparity between powder and crack cocaine is racist and accounts for a large percentage of imprisoned blacks.
4. The “War on Drugs” accounts for a large number of blacks behind bars.
5. More blacks are in jail than in college.

Obama Justice Department Now Referring Reporters to Media Matters for Information on Fast and Furious
