Deep state treason and Obama was in on it!

The title is a quote from William Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar, and what it meant was soldiers were released from any semblance of civilized behavior, including rape and plunder, like a pack of wild dogs. On Sunday Clarice Feldman published an article dealing with the events of the week, with subtitles dealing with each issue.  She starts out saying, " What a week! The 2016 and 2020 plots against Trump are now confirmed", which was followed by the first subtitle, "Dirty Deeds Done Down Low", opening the discussion saying;

The perfidious acts of then-CIA Director John Brennan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and FBI Director James Comey could not be hidden forever, and, this week, much more was detailed in a CIA review released by its director John Ratcliffe and in a congressional hearing............

Rasmussen polls confirm that the Trump Collusion concoction “fabricated by Obama’s functionaries” benefited the Democrats in the 2018 midterms........[and]  the story about the FBI’s covering up Chinese efforts to interfere with the 2020 election should place the role of the then-heads of these agencies in the sociopathic hall of fame. 

All of which was supported by corrupt reporting by the Washington Post, claiming:

Suddenly, the revised piece asserted as fact that Vladimir Putin had orchestrated Trump’s election. It is almost certain that corrupt intelligence officials were dissatisfied with the original reporting which wasn't tailored to the narrative. They needed to preemptively sabotage Trump’s presidency, so they told the Washington Post to publish a version that reflected the Intelligence Community’s preferred narrative. To this day, no one has been held accountable for this fraud -- neither at the Washington Post, which later won Pulitzers for their lies, nor within the Intelligence Community, which orchestrated the deception.

According to Jim Hoft, Obama was in on it!  As CIA Director John Ratcliffe states:

All the world can now see the truth: Brennan, Clapper and Comey manipulated intelligence and silenced career professionals — all to get Trump. Thank you to the career CIA officers who conducted this review and exposed the facts.

In this past week's P&D and The Week That Was I state the FBI blocked an investigation into the 2020 "Chinese mail-in voting scam to protect Chris Wray who likely lied to Congress".  The DOJ is pursuing that and before all of this is over, and if there's any justice in the world, Wray, Comey, Brennan, and Clapper should all be heading to prison.   After all, "no one is above the law."  The fact is we're seeing what clearly must evidence of perjury by Brennan and others.  Before Clinton perjury was considered a serious crime.  Will it be again?

 

Should John Brennan Be in Prison? Brennan’s lie about Hunter’s laptop echoed his earlier lies about Russian collusion. The statement of the “intelligence professionals” referred to “our view that the Russians are involved in the Hunter Biden email issue,” and added that “media reports say that the FBI has now opened an investigation into Russian involvement in this case.”  

 

 The statement ends with this: “It is high time that Russia stops interfering in our democracy.”  Sheesh. Yeah, it sure is. And it’s also high time that Brennan faces justice for his anti-American actions. But if he ever did, the left would raise such a hue and cry that all their other hysterical fits would look like a philosophical disquisition. 

 

Nevertheless, Bryan Dean Wright is 100% correct: John Brennan belongs in the slammer.

 

There are those who wish to just move on, forgive and forget.  Baloney!  What these people have done should not be forgiven, nor forgotten.  They still keep shooting off their mouths with falsehoods trying to manipulate the public with their lies, and the public has a right to know  the truth, and those attacked have a right to have the truth exposed, and justice served.  Then we can move on.  

 

However, what I think we can move on from right now is the idea there's no such thing as a conspiracy.  To quote Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana:  "Sounds to me like we need to get some new conspiracy theories because all the old ones turned out to be true."

In the ongoing Sussman trial, campaign manager Robby Mook testified that Hillary Clinton personally approved spreading the lie about Donald Trump and Alfa Bank. This has been treated by some as a revelation. Jonathan Turley, for one, finds it significant:

Do these idiots think that after watching this criminality for five months, any sane American will vote for a Democrat?

Last March brought us the results of the caucus and primary votes of the Democrat 2020 contest for the U.S. presidency. Out of a U.S. population of about 330 million—some stats include 40 million illegals, which brings the total to 370 million—the best Democrats had to offer was about 15 unimpressive candidates who the public saw through and sent packing. Left in the contest were:

• Senator Bernie Sanders, an energized 78-year-old white, Jewish Marxist from Vermont, a keen admirer of Fidel Castro and Mother Russia—who represents his constituents as an Independent—who had recently survived a heart attack. 
• Joe Biden, a 77-year-old, white, pro-abortion Catholic, former senator from Delaware for 36 years, VP of the U.S. for eight years under Barack Obama, and, even last March, clearly in the early-to-mid stages of dementia.
  

But uh oh. When the DNC and Hillary & Co. saw the crowds that a feisty and passionate Sen. Sanders was attracting once again—and knowing that he would not obediently follow the agenda of the “insider” leftist-globalist-Islamist playbook they had been working to establish for decades—they once again, as they had four years earlier, engineered the ouster of Sanders in order to implant their exquisitely easy-to-manipulate candidate of choice: Joe Biden. 

 In short order, they garnered key endorsements, enlisted their media whores to omit any mention of “Jim Crow Joe’s” long and ignominious history of racism, and relied upon other career liars to camouflage the unmistakable cognitive decline of candidate Biden, which has worsened significantly over the past several months. 

March was also the month when the China virus hit—“coincidentally” after the impeachment hoax imploded of its own fakery—and the Democrats realized that everything they had tried for four years to derail, actually to end, the Trump presidency had failed:

• The Russian hoax—kaput!
• The Ukraine hoax—a colossal failure.
• The Stormy Daniels fiasco—a charade.
• The Impeachment hoax—crashed and burned.

The China virus “pandemic” fit the Democrats’ plan perfectly—as did the “spontaneous” rise of the leftist-financed, five-months-long rampage through American cities of Black Lives Matter and Antifa, the rationale being that if “Trump’s America” was out of control, Biden’s America would make things better.

That is the same Joe Biden who echoed every word, philosophy and plan of action his old boss, Barack Obama, put forth, for instance Obama’s declaration to the American people that, “We cannot continue to rely on our military…we’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” 

According to writer Amil Imani, “Antifa and BLM are Obama’s ‘security force.’”

And what have these “peaceful demonstrators”—as the corrupt media would like you to believe they are—done over the past five months to reassure the public that the Biden-Kalamity ticket is our country’s best path forward?

Fortunately for Trump supporters like me and millions throughout the country, these acting-out psychopaths have behaved so egregiously that they have literally insured a landslide reelection victory for POTUS MAGNUS!

That’s right, I said psychopaths. While the less menacing word for this species is sociopaths, they are one and the same. And the arch symptom of this pathology is a complete lack of empathy, the absolute inability to feel for another human being.

Reminds me of a song called “Nothing” from the musical A Chorus Line, with music by Marvin Hamlisch and the lyrics by Edward Kleban.

And I dug right down to the bottom of my soul
To see what I had inside
Yes, I dug right down to the bottom of my soul
And I tried, I tried.

[And I felt] “Nothing, I’m feeling nothing”
They all felt something
But I felt nothing.

Want proof? Over the past five months, Americans with their eyes wide open and ears perked, have witnessed the thugs of BLM and Antifa:

• Rampaging through our city’s streets and avenues, smashing the massive plate-glass windows of banks and office buildings, apartments and medical facilities with tire irons and other weapons of mass destruction. 
• Destroying gas stations, bodegas and supermarkets, and terrorizing suburban neighborhoods and private homes.  
• Committing widespread arson by igniting both small and large businesses on fire till they burn to the ground.
• Overturning cars and vans, buses and cabs, shattering their windows, ripping out their seats and ripping off their fenders and, again, lighting them on fire.
• Inflicting savage bodily harm on old and young, black and white—throwing them to the ground, kicking them over and over again in their stomachs and heads, shooting blinding laser beams into their eyes, breaking their bones, all often resulting in hospitalizations in intensive-care units and also deaths.

I cannot imagine even one person in America watching this hate-fueled carnage, these blatantly illegal acts, and not asking himself or herself:

Do these bought-and-paid for goons not have parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, siblings and friends who work in such businesses; who have spent blood, sweat, tears and often 25-hour days building such businesses; who depend on their work to pay their bills, care for their families? 

• Of course they do—but they felt nothing!

Don’t these marauders know how painful it is to get kicked in the head, get the wind knocked out of you so you can’t breathe, see your skin peeling off from third-degree burns?  

• Of course they do—but they felt nothing!

Don’t these domestic terrorists know how terrifying it is to have criminals shining flashlights into your home, threatening you and actually inflicting bodily harm, and making you afraid to shop in your own city?

• Of course they do—but they felt nothing!

As if to emphasize their stone-cold natures, after they commit these crimes they dance and prance, laugh and high-five as if they’ve contributed something valuable to the world.  

And one more question: Do these idiots think that after watching this criminality for five months, any sane American will vote for a Democrat? 

After all, every single Democrat—including candidates Joe Biden and Kalamity—has uttered not one word of objection or condemnation while the beautiful cities of Seattle, Portland, Manhattan, Baltimore, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Portland, Kenosha, et al., were being burned to the ground, their properties destroyed, their residents frozen in fear as they hear the anarchists’ chants of “Defund the Police” at a time when the heroic men and women in blue are more needed than ever.

Why? Because Democrats approved! So much so that Kalamity actually praised BLM during the recent VP-candidate debate!

It is no wonder that Ron Ross of Spectator.org writes that “Democrats have created scores of first-time Trump voters,” including parents, sports fans who detest seeing players insult the flag and national anthem, new gun owners, people fed up with coronavirus lockdowns, fracking fans who don’t want to see gas prices double, black and Hispanic voters who appreciate the employment offered by Trump’s booming—and now recovering—economy, the list is long.

By my computation, all this adds up to a 50-state rout for President Trump! Yep…eyes + ears = 50!

The Real Russian Spies May Have Been Behind the Steele Dossier

The Manchurian Candidate asked what if the biggest proponent of a Russian conspiracy is a Russian asset. The scenario may have been fictional in 1962, but the Democrats made it real in 2016.

After four years of smears, lies, and posters of Trump and Putin making out, we now know that the Steele dossier, the basis for the entire Russia conspiracy theory, was Russian disinformation.

And we know that the Hillary allies inside the FBI knew that it was Russian disinformation.

A declassified footnote from Inspector General Horowitz’ FISA report reveal that Team Coup was well aware that they were potentially playing with Russian disinformation.

Footnote 350 notes that the Crossfire Hurricane team had information on hand "indicating the potential for Russian disinformation influencing Steele’s election reporting." The source, which remains classified, "assessed that the referenced subset was part of a Russian disinformation campaign". More disturbingly, another section suggests "RIS “infiltrate[ing] a source into the network of a ______________ who compiled a dossier of information on Trump’s activities."

It's not clear why the latter would be classified if it's a reference to Christopher Steele: the ex-spook hired through cutouts to produce the Russia conspiracy theory for the Clinton campaign. Unless the reference is to Steele's real source. RIS would be a reference to Russian Intelligence Services.

Steele wasn’t just a hatchet man hired by Fusion GPS to produce opposition research for the Clinton campaign. He had been selected because he was a trusted FBI source and whatever he produced would then be used by Hillary allies and Fusion GPS to generate an FBI investigation of the Trump campaign.

Hillary’s allies in the campaign and the FBI weren’t interested where Steele was getting his information. And even when the Crossfire Hurricane team learned that it might be a hostile power, they didn’t care because they no longer saw Russia as the enemy: Trump was the enemy they were going to destroy.

How was Christopher Steele able build his private intelligence network without a country behind him?

Steele’s network appeared to be drawn from Russian oligarchs. The oligarch in post-Communist oligarchies like Russia and China often acts as a front for government authorities, running former state industries and partnering with foreign companies while holding the secret wealth of the leadership. Oligarchs are privileged, but also threatened because they’re the brokers of the dirty business of the regime, and maintain a balancing act, buying homes abroad and sending their children to the West.

The UK is a favorite destination for Russian oligarchs and Steele might have believed that they wanted an influential fellow like him to owe them some favors in case they fell out of favor with Putin. But why would any truly significant players put their lives and fortunes at risk to pass intel on to an ex-spook? Steele’s informants were much more likely stringing him along on behalf of the Russian spooks.

Steele wasn’t playing the Russians. The Russians were playing him. His informants were double agents.

Every time Steele went hunting for information, Moscow gained insight into what the people paying him were interested in. Steele wasn’t passing information from Russian sources to his clients. He was telling Moscow what information about Russia his clients, Fusion GPS or the FBI, were searching for. And enabling the Russians to decide what disinformation they wanted to use Steele to spread around.

Essentially, Steele had become a Russian asset.

Beyond Trump and Crossfire Hurricane, the footnote indicates that Steele’s tainted network may have been compromised and was feeding Russian disinformation to the FBI. When Steele was tasked with assembling material on Trump for the Clinton campaign and the FBI, he reached out to a network of confidential sources and found Russian intelligence officers eager to exploit this intriguing scenario.

What would a hostile foreign power do when an operative for one of its political opponents comes looking for proof that its rival is secretly working for them? Exactly what the Russians did. Provide confirmation, but taint it. The Steele dossier contained numerous basic errors. No genuine expert on Russia could have produced it. But Steele treated it all as raw intelligence to be passed along.

And if no one on the Clinton campaign or at the FBI bothered to verify it, that was their problem.

Plausible disinformation would have just tainted Trump. But the Russians wanted to taint everyone. Especially their opposite numbers in the FBI. And partisan corruption on our side let them do it.

The Russians had compromised Steele and through him the FBI and the Clinton campaign.

And then they burned everyone.

They were able to do it because Crossfire Hurricane was not a counter-intelligence investigation, but a counter-Trump investigation. The Russians were able to compromise our counter-intelligence by exploiting its corruption and divisions, the same way that they did our political system.

Stringing along Steele had paid off for Moscow in a very unexpected way. After generations of effort, the Russians seriously damaged our political system and intelligence agencies. They transformed the image of their own faltering regime, trying to figure out how to squeeze the last ruble out of its energy assets, into a superpower that could determine the outcome of American elections with its spycraft.

And, as in the Cold War, they didn’t have to do any of the hard work. Their lefty allies did it for them.

After building up Steele’s worthless dossier into an FBI investigation of the next POTUS, a pittance in Facebook ads, most of which post-dated the election, were turned into proof of a rigged election.

All the Russians really did was inject disinformation, not into social media, but the media, and into the Clinton campaign. The Democrats built up the disinformation, spread it around, and weaponized it. Their agenda was to hurt Trump, but the Russian agenda was, as with any hostile power, to divide America.

What the Russians really wanted was to weaken whoever won in 2016. Steele was their useful idiot. Once Steele had passed on the disinformation, the Democrats and their media allies went to work weakening the country, accusing Republicans of working for Moscow, when they were the ones tearing apart the country and undermining the President of the United States using Russian disinformation.

Trump Derangement Syndrome allowed the Russians to subvert Democrats and elements of the FBI.

The louder the Democrats and the media spread the false claim that President Trump was being controlled by Moscow, the more they could obscure the reality that Moscow was controlling them.

As in the Manchurian Candidate, the Russian assets were shouting the loudest about Russia.

But who else would be so invested in building up the myth of an omnipotent Putin and a mighty Russia? The idea that Russia could determine the outcome of American elections was Russian disinformation.

There had already been strong suspicions that the Steele dossier was Russian disinformation. Even Christopher Steele refused to deny speculation that this might be the case. But footnote 350 reveals that Crossfire Hurricane’s counter-intelligence investigation was well aware of it.

The Russia Hoax was not just a deep corruption of the DOJ and the FBI by Obama and Clinton Democrats. It was also a profound counter-intelligence failure that allowed the Russians to exploit that corruption. Had the FBI done its job in a non-partisan manner, it would have deterred Russian efforts to plant disinformation, whether in the crude form of leaked emails, or the sophisticated form of opposition research, instead partisan figures like McCabe and Strzok put party ahead of country.

Vladimir Putin got what he wanted, not from President Trump, but from his Democrat enemies.

Moscow had not seriously thought that its operatives, whether at the Internet Research Agency, WikiLeaks, or whoever was feeding Steele stories about urine-soaked hotel rooms, while trying not to giggle, were ever going to determine the outcome of the 2016 election. What it wanted was to weaken the winner, whether in the Democrat and Republican primaries, or the general election.

And throughout this process, Democrats and Never Trumpers made the best useful idiots.

Hostile foreign powers don’t limit their hostility to Republicans or Democrats. Only useful idiots think that they do. And idiots are useful when they allow a hostile foreign power to divide and conquer, militarily or politically, weakening it through internecine warfare so that it is unable to interfere.

$100,000 in Russian Facebook ads didn’t taint our election. The $100 million in media programming falsely claiming that the election was tainted did that. The disinformation spread by Democrats and their media allies weakened this country, destroyed the credibility of the FBI, and undermined President Trump. That is exactly what Moscow wanted. And what the Democrats and their allies gave Moscow.

What the declassified footnote reveals is that this was not an unintentional treason. They knew.

Joe DiGenova and Victoria Toensing reveal Brennan was the mastermind of the Russia hoax

Evidence Now Indicates FBI Spying on Trump was in fact Politically Motivated

So, the first Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) spy warrant which was subsequently issued to target low-level Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. The FISA warrant was dated and issued on or about October 23, 2016. A recent Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request revealed new information which indicates the FBI spying operations on Donald Trump were in fact politically motivated by the Obama administration. Much of my analysis in this piece is derived from that FOIA request.

In this effort, let’s look at how this went down. In order to justify and support the approval of the FISA application, the FBI intentionally held back critical information from the FISA court. Certainly suggesting the spying warrant request was for the most part deliberately crafted and politically motivated — and the FBI knew it. Recent evidence (memos) now reveals details about the high-ranking government official who met with Steele in October 2016. Apparently, that person was State Department official Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kathleen Kavalec who met with Christopher Steele on October 11, 2016.   

 

In that meeting, it was determined that some of the Donald Trump ‘dirt’ (unsubstantiated lies) that Steele was simultaneously digging up for both the FBI and for Hillary Clinton’s campaign was inaccurate, but nevertheless, was likely irresponsibly and intentionally leaked to the media for political reasons – to allow the unethical mainstream media to disseminate the false-narrative.......To Read More....

Much has been made by outraged Democrats of Attorney General William Barr’s use of the word “spying” during his recent testimony before the United States Senate. According to the Democrats who are taken aback over AG Barr use of that word, “spying” apparently connotes something Machiavellian. Something evil.

Well those of us who have lived and worked in the intelligence world take umbrage to “spying” being viewed as a pejorative. When done on behalf of the United States in order to provide our leadership with the information necessary to help them make the right decisions on behalf of America it’s downright noble!

Many of us have devoted decades of our lives in the pursuit of information our decision makers need in order to protect and defend America. At times living in austere, even Spartan conditions, and often times in dangerous environments.

American Intelligence Officers are even now hard at work placing their lives on the line trying to obtain that one piece of intelligence that will help to prevent another 9-11. There’s a wall in the lobby of CIA Headquarters with several dozen carved stars etched into its surface honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our great nation.

But when spying is done to further the interests of one of America’s political parties over another it no longer is a noble endeavor. When it’s done with the approval of an opposing candidate, or even a sitting president, it indeed does become Machiavellian and evil. Democrats Move the Goalposts (Again)

The ridiculously long, drawn out, overdone "Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election" investigation proves an ages-old political maxim: the benchmark of proof that a political accusation has to satisfy in order to be considered true will constantly change as the needs of the accuser shift in response to new information.

In other words, if the original charge proves to be baseless, the complainants will invariably lower the threshold of guilt so that even a lesser transgression will be sufficient to condemn the accused.

President Trump is the latest example of that. Let's be candid here — everything about President Trump is anathema to the Democrats.

• He beat Hillary Clinton, depriving the Democrats of boasting how they elected the country's first female president.
• He is direct, unequivocal, and absolute in his policy pronouncements, eschewing the usual "nod-nod, wink-wink" of Washington speak. What makes it even worse is that President Trump's policy pronouncements are conservative, and his direct, clear-meaning speech rips the cover off years of oh, so carefully developed liberal deceptions.
• President Trump calls out the Democrat-sympathetic liberal media for who they are, enraging his enemies for not rolling over and meekly accepting mistreatment at the hands of his liberal opponents the way his milquetoast Republican predecessors did.
• His policies — the withdrawal from the Paris Accords, his dismissal of the Iranian nuclear agreements, his tough stance regarding NATO paying its fair share, his position on border security and illegal immigration, his desire for greater domestic American energy production, the re-negotiation of international trade agreements to be more advantageous to this country, and many others — are so blatantly pro-American and popular with the average voter that the supposedly sophisticated liberal Democratic intelligentsia are infuriated over the way his approach resonates in such a positive, commonsense manner with so many people.

Therefore, with Democrats unable to accept Trump's 2016 victory (no surprise, really, in light of how they and the liberal media refused to accept George W. Bush's election victory over Gore in 2000 or Bush's defeat of John Kerry in 2004, blaming that on Ohio voting irregularities and unscrupulous, deceptive "Swiftboating" attacks), the Democratic Party desperately searched for a reason to explain Hillary's defeat, a reason they could take to the general public and convince them that Trump's election win was illegitimate.

'Russian Interference' Didn't Happen

It is important to repeat that there was no “Russian interference” in the 2016 elections. It was invented by the DNC, Hillary’s campaign, and the Obama administration. The so-called Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA), a declassified version of which was published on Jan. 6, 2017, was cooked under the control of James Clapper with the collaboration of John Brennan and James Comey.

The alleged interference contained two internet components. The big one was hacking. Podesta’s email account and the DNC and DCCC networks were indeed hacked. The DNC network was hacked many times.   In April 2016, when Trump emerged as the expected Republican nominee, the DNC and the Obama administration started a joint attempt to spy on his campaign.

In late April, the DNC suddenly “discovered” the hacking of its network, which it had been denying for at least nine months in response to the FBI’s warnings. Instead of fixing it using its own network administrators or hiring a reputable cybersecurity contractor, they hired CrowdStrike, known for making unsubstantiated claims attributing network breaches to Russian and Chinese intelligence, and CrowdStrike incorrectly attributed the hack to Russian intelligence.

For more than a month, the DNC then allowed what they thought was Russian intelligence to collect data from its network, while simultaneously rebuffing the FBI’s requests to help or to collect forensic evidence. Senator Warren: A demagogue's delight

Senator and presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren proposes a new tax – not on income, but on wealth.  There are a variety of economic arguments against a wealth tax, but I will let economists argue those.  My objection is that Warren starts with the assumption that great accumulated wealth is based not on achievement, but on manipulation of the economy and our government.

But what if wealthy people became wealthy by producing something we all want?  Did Steve Jobs become wealthy by rigging the system, or did he develop, produce, and market the iPhone, a device that has had a greater impact on everyday life than any government program Senator Warren might fund with her new tax?  Did Jeff Bezos rig the system, or did he create with Amazon an incredible company for marketing and selling products?  I just used Amazon to buy four tires for my Toyota Corolla.  The local garage told me I needed new tires and gave me an estimate of $660 for tires and installation.  Instead, I ordered tires on Amazon and took them to the garage for installation.  Saved $300.  So if Bezos became super-rich by providing me and millions of others with that service, fine by me.................... Do Democrats Have A Health Care Plan?

Nancy Pelosi says there are three reasons the Democrats took back the House: “Health care, health care and health care.” She may be right. Half the Democratic TV ads were on health care. By one estimate, Democratic candidates spent a reported $90 million on health care ads alone. If nothing else, they have really promised to do something about health care. So what’s their plan?

To find out I went to a site called A Better Deal, which is maintained by Senate Democrats. This site tells you what you would expect to happen if the Democrats had captured the Senate as well as the House.

So let’s start with the 28 million Americans who have no insurance at all. What does the site promise to do about that? Nothing. Nothing? There’s not a word on the subject. What about Obamacare premiums that are two to three times what they used to be? Not a word about that either. What about sky-high deductibles that are causing people to skimp on needed care? Zero. What about narrow networks that exclude the best doctors and the best hospitals? Zilch. What about half the counties in the country having only one monopoly insurer and no competition? Nada.

Practically every Democratic campaign TV ad in the last election that mentioned health care focused on “pre-existing conditions.” Surely, I thought, Democrats will promise to do something about that. But, no. Not a word.............To Read More.....

What do Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, Stacey Abrams, and Bill Nelson have in common? Each asked the voters for important positions of leadership and promptly proved themselves unworthy of those offices when the answer was “No.” It isn’t necessary, of course, to revisit Gore’s reluctant acceptance of reality or Clinton’s querulous hypocrisy. The tawdry details of those episodes are well known. But the long-term harm they wrought on the republic merits consideration. The extent of that damage was clearly demonstrated Friday, when Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams finally admitted that the laws of mathematics could not be overcome by frivolous lawsuits.

The Friday non-concession speech Abrams inflicted on the citizens of Georgia was easily one of the most disgraceful political performances of the century thus far. She grudgingly acknowledged that Brian Kemp will be the Peach State’s next governor, but went on to accuse him — without evidence — of voter suppression during his tenure as secretary of state. Even worse, her bitter diatribe included a promise to file additional lawsuits in order to “pursue accountability in Georgia’s elections and integrity in the process of maintaining our voting rolls.” Abrams pledged to fight mythical “mismanagement of this election and to protect future elections from unconstitutional actions.”............To Read More.....

The Democrats' Dolchstosslegende

The Democrats went into the election certain that they were going to win. The New York Times rated Hillary’s chances at 93%. The Huffington Post raised that to 98%. That was still too modest for Obama campaign manager David Plouffe who predicted a 100% likelihood of Hillary winning.

It wasn’t strategy or statistics that made the Dems think that victory was certain. It was ideology.

Obama had spent two terms telling them that they were on the “right side of history”. The more the Dems swung left, the closer to the right side of history they were. Their leftist views were naturally superior. They were based on science while their opponents were superstitious buffoons. They were enlightened while their enemies were bigots. They were smart and conservatives were dumb.

Delusions of superiority had convinced them that Republicans couldn’t win an honest election. When Bush won, it was because his brother and the Supreme Court had rigged the election. The Republican victories that swept much of the country were only due to voter suppression and redistricting.

The Democrats had allowed themselves to believe that they were so innately superior that they couldn’t lose an election except through fraud or dirty tricks. The humiliating defeats of McGovern, Carter, Mondale and Dukakis were all in the past. They had gone so far to the left that they couldn’t lose.

They had confused ideology with electability. The fallacy of fanatics is the conviction that their beliefs explain reality. And that following their beliefs must therefore lead to a successful outcome.

Leftists had convinced themselves that winning elections was an inevitable as the success of ObamaCare and the rejuvenation of the economy. Their media became a propaganda echo chamber filled with their own assurances of inevitable victory. But ObamaCare failed, the economy lingered and Trump won.

Instead of realizing that they had been lying to themselves, they seized on conspiracy theories.

Convinced of their natural superiority, members of the Master Party believed that their subjective contempt for Republicans in general and Trump specifically was an objective truth. It wasn’t that they despised conservatives. No, conservatives were inherently despicable. And Trump was so despicable and so absurd that he just had to lose. It was inconceivable that he couldn’t have lost. So he had lost.

Human beings don’t react well to having their egomaniacal fantasies come apart around them.

After losing World War I, many Germans seized on the Dolchstosslegende or the Stab-in-the-Back theory to explain what happened. The German military didn’t lose the war. It was undermined and stabbed in the back. Otherwise, despite the collapse of its allies and the entry of the United States, it would have won. The Nazis rode the Dolchstosslegende all the way into power. And to an even more devastating defeat in an even more devastating war all while trying to disprove the fact that America, the United Kingdom, France and Russia really could beat them in a war once there were no more Jews in Germany.

You can deny reality, but reality always wins.

Unsurprisingly, the Dolchstosslegende was most popular with German military leaders. Likewise the Democrat Dolchstosslegende arose from the ranks of Hillary’s campaign leaders. It’s those in charge of the losing team who have the most incentive to blame anyone and everyone else. The Nazis blamed a long list of people including the Jews. The Democrats blamed everyone from the FBI to the Russians.

Hillary has become another Hindenburg touting her own Dolchstosslegende. Her latest book, ‘What Happpened’, will put the Dolchstosslegende into print. It will list everyone who lost the election for her. ‘What Happened’ may be an awkward title, but calling it ‘Mein Kampaign’ might have been a bit much.

The Hillary Dolchstosslegende tearing apart our country passes itself off as patriotism. The Nazis claimed that they were patriots too. But Dolchstosslegendes aren’t patriotic. They’re exercises in divisiveness by losers who don’t want to take responsibility for their stupidity, incompetence and hypocrisy.

Hillary went from pressing a reset button with one of Putin’s minions to a posthumous political campaign claiming that Putin had rigged the election. Never mind that even if Russian hackers did leak Podesta’s emails, less than 1% of Americans have any idea who Podesta is or cared about the contents of his chats. But Podesta’s emails embarrassed the future promoters of the Dolchstosslegende.

And that’s why the Dolchstosslegende’s humiliated inventors are obsessed with their own emails.

John Podesta and Robby Mook had formulated the Russian Dolchstosslegende after her defeat. Podesta and Mook, like General Ludendorff and Hindenburg had the most need to assign failure elsewhere. And millions of loyalists were eager to be convinced that they had not truly been defeated.

The Clinton campaign was as big of a disaster as the Hindenburg Program. Both were Socialist projects that substituted technocracy for common sense leading to utter disaster. Rather than admit that their plan didn’t work, Hindenburg and Ludendorff blamed the defeat on the battlefield and misery at home on a conspiracy. The Nazis then tried to prove that a Socialist militarized industry could work once you got rid of all the possible conspirators. After killing six millions Jews, National Socialism still didn’t work.

Meanwhile Clintonworld had been trying to prove that Hillary’s ’08 loss to Obama was a fluke. They proved it by rigging the Dem primaries only to have Hillary lose the general election. And so out came more excuses. Hillary was an unbeatable candidate. The left was unbeatable. It was a conspiracy.

The myths of the undefeated Germany and the undefeated Democrats were rooted in a false conviction of superiority. A populace glutted on an endless diet of propaganda found it inconceivable that they had lost. As a dog returns to its vomit, the Democrats began licking the propaganda out of their media sewer twice as hard. They ate up the lies that they hadn’t lost, the promises that they would soon reclaim what was rightfully theirs and that everyone who had conspired against them would soon be punished.

Then they turned to street violence and attempted coups… because those worked so well in Germany.

At the maddest there are the ravings of Twitter experts who promise that the intelligence community will shortly be rounding up and executing all the traitors. But even the mainstream media, CNN, the Washington Post and the New York Times feed their readers a poisonous glut of the Dolchstosslegende.

It’s bad for the Democrats and it’s worse for the democracy.

Instead of learning from their defeat, an entire political party, its elected officials and a sizable portion of its base have convinced themselves once again that a presidential election was illegitimate. They have staked their hopes on a coup, ranging from military intervention to impeachment, to undo it all.

Instead of questioning the superiority of their leftist ideology, they have doubled down on it. Like the National Socialists, the Socialist supporters of the far left have turned to street violence, they fantasize about military coups and media coups, without caring about the damage that they are doing to America.

The Democrats believed that they would win the election because their left-wing politics were absolutely right. Now they are convinced that they will pull off their coup because they are even more fanatically left-wing in 2017 than they were in 2016. This same logic led the Nazis to destroy Germany. And the Democrats have learned absolutely nothing about the dangers of delusional fanaticism.

They were told that they are on the right side of history. And if the right side of history requires wrecking the political process, a coup and a civil war, they are willing to pay it. Just as in the election, they can’t lose because they’re on the right side of history. Wherever they end up must be utopia.

They are willing to destroy everything rather than question their delusions of superiority.

The Soviet Union attributed all its setbacks to sabotage, rather than policy failures. Muslims continue to believe that they lost their last Caliphate, the Ottoman Empire, due to an assortment of conspiracies from the Jews and the Freemasons. The Dolchstosslegende is as ubiquitous as it is destructive. It is seductive because it tells us the lie that we most wish to believe in our darkest hour.

The lie is that we did nothing wrong and do not need to change.

The Democrats’ Dolchstosslegende is the surest way of turning 2020 into a repeat of 2016.
