reported on Saturday that McCain, while still defending Palin’s performance, said in his upcoming book “The Restless Wave” that he wishes he had instead selected former Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) His advisers reportedly had warned against choosing Lieberman, who was once a Democrat, stating that Lieberman’s support of abortion rights could divide Republicans........

Sen. John McCain loathes President Trump so much that he plans to diss him from beyond the grave.
The ailing Arizona Republican, who has brain cancer, is organizing his funeral – and close associates have told the White House that Trump will not be invited. Instead, Vice President Mike Pence, who served with McCain in Congress, will be asked to attend the service, the New York Times reported Saturday. The ceremony will be held at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. A stream of politicians, including former Vice President Joe Biden and former Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, have been visiting McCain at his Arizona ranch and a nearby hospital in recent weeks.........

My Take -
The President should thank him for making this public, now he doesn't have to feel obligated as President to attend the funeral of a man he probably despises and say nice things he doesn't mean in order to be gracious to the family and polite for society. Since it's clear McCain's unable to carry out his duties as a Senator why hasn't he resigned and let the Governor appoint a successor, and in this case a far more conservative Senator than John McCain lied about being every time he ran? Because he's the same bitter self serving disgrace he's been for years. Another good example for why the 17th Amendment needs repealed and term limits created for Congress.
