Ted Kennedy: The Chappaquiddick Cover-up - and More

This new docudrama about Ted Kennedy and the death of Mary Jo Kopechne is supposedly fairly telling - and in this case, that's a surprise as everyone on the left has done everything they can to cover up Ted Kennedy's crime.  Crime?  Absolutely!

Ted Kennedy drunkenly drove off a bridge and left Mary Jo Kopechne to drown in that car. This "Liberal Lion of the Senate" so beloved by all the left got away with murder, and this book, Senatorial Privilege, shows how local officials actually made it happen - because he was a Kennedy - and in that state they could do no wrong as he continued to be sent back to the Senate over and over again.  That says more about Massachusetts than it does Kennedy.

This was the guy they called Cadillac Eddie in college for being cited four times for reckless driving, with one of those citations for driving 90 miles an hour at night with no headlights.  In light of all of what's going on now I think this is a more than appropriate time to read what actually happened and how he got away with murder.  If this had happened in any other state than Massachusetts, he would have been sent to prison for years, and America would be been the benefactor.

Here is the most credible account yet of what happened during the long night between the death of Mary Jo Kopechne and Sen. Edward M. Kennedy`s reporting the accident to the police. As Joe Gargan, Kennedy`s cousin, close friend since childhood, and, in the end, embittered campaign aide, related the story to Damore, Kennedy lay on his back at the bridge, wondering how this tragedy could have happened to him, wondering if it could be said that he was not in the car, hinting that someone else could take the rap after Gargan risked his life trying to remove Kopechne`s body from the car. Finally, Kennedy dove into the water, after agreeing that he would ``take care of it, `` which Gargan took to mean that he finally had agreed to report the accident. Instead, Kennedy went off to establish an alibi. Only when Kennedy saw a tow truck heading for the bridge did he go to the police. Then his inner circle took over, manufacturing the cover-up, which ran to police investigators, the district attorney, the bench. Damore lays it all out; the facts are devastating.
However, I doubt this film does justice as to just how corrupt and contemptible Ted Kennedy actually was.  In a PowerLine article entitled, The Teddy Files: Even Worse Than You Thought! , the author states:
After repeated attempts, Judicial Watch has managed to pry loose certain documents relating to Teddy Kennedy from the FBI. The FBI's original redactions plainly had nothing to do with national security, so the agency apparently was trying to protect Kennedy's reputation.  
The most entertaining documents relate to a trip Kennedy took to Latin America in 1961. He visited a number of countries, accompanied by his "political counselor." In each country, Kennedy met with prominent Communists or other left-wing leaders. The U.S. Ambassador to Mexico was outraged that Kennedy wanted to bring such people to the embassy--this was the heart of the Cold War, after all--and he refused, telling Kennedy to arrange his own interviews somewhere else. A State Department official in Peru described Teddy as "pompous and a spoiled brat."  
In Colombia, the first person Kennedy wanted to meet with was Lauchlin Currie, a Russian spy who served as a key aide to Franklin Roosevelt, then moved to Colombia and renounced his American citizenship.   
By the time he got to Chile, Kennedy apparently was tired of political work, so he "made arrangements to 'rent' a brothel for an entire night" in Santiago. You can read the FBI reports here.  Click to enlarge:
During the hearings to seat Alito on the Supreme court the Democrats chose none other than Ted Kennedy to lead the charge to prove Alito was "a right-wing fanatic", and his "association with a conservative Princeton alumni group proved that he was some kind of wacko", which was the typical blowhard clabber from Kennedy. 

That's what he did during the Bork hearings, which I watched, where this drunken murderer who consorted with communists, "supported the Nuclear Weapons Freeze Campaign, a Soviet-sponsored initiative that would have frozen the USSR's military superiority in place", "Secretly contacted the head of the Soviet KGB in 1983, in an effort to undermine the Reagan presidency" (an absolute violation of the Logan Act) claimed Bork was too extreme to sit on the Supreme Court. 

Within a few minutes after the announcement of Bork's nomination Kennedy spewed out his lies and his hate from the Senate floor saying:
“Robert Bork’s America is a land in which women would be forced into back-alley abortions, blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters, rogue police could break down citizens’ doors in midnight raids, schoolchildren could not be taught about evolution, writers and artists could be censored at the whim of the Government, and the doors of the Federal courts would be shut on the fingers of millions of citizens for whom the judiciary is — and is often the only — protector of the individual rights that are the heart of our democracy… President Reagan is still our president. But he should not be able to reach out from the muck of Irangate, reach into the muck of Watergate and impose his reactionary vision of the Constitution on the Supreme Court and the next generation of Americans. No justice would be better than this injustice.”
A man with impeccable legal credentials who was one of the most respected jurists in the nation was called "extreme" by a comtemtable spoiled brat who was kicked out of Harvard for cheating. 

In this 2006 article,  The Alito Juggernaut, the author states:
The folks at the Federalist Patriot nailed it when, referring to Sen. Kennedy, they illustrated what Judge Alito is NOT: "It's not as if Judge Alito is a spoiled trust baby who got kicked out of Harvard for cheating. Nor is he a United States senator who got drunk, drove a young female campaign worker to her death, then chose not to report it to authorities until the next day, and then, only after calling his lawyer, concocting an alibi and developing a strategy to contain the political fallout."
Being married to a Kennedy was no prize, and that included his father Joe along with John and Bobby, all of whom were unbridled philanderers, and their wives knew it.  Kennedy met and married Virginia Joan Bennett in the late 50's but were divorced by the late 60's as a result of his drunkenness and infidelity, in what could only be construed as abuse.  He remarried in 1992, "a Washington attorney named Victoria Anne Reggie, who was 22 years his junior", but Kennedy was by no means without his comforts.  Just ask Senator Chris Dodd, another hypocritical blowhard.

Over the years Ted Kennedy was pretty much given a journalistic safe conduct pass for just about anything he did.  While the left eulogizes him as the Last Liberal Lion of the Senate his life in reality is a tale of corruption and moral failure in every aspect of his existence.  It's time this final chapter of the Camelot myth is brought to an end.  Hopefully this is the time, and this film will be the vehicle. 

As you read more of the hypocrisy of Ted Kennedy, you will observe that for all his common man rhetoric, he in some way was exempted or benefited financially from most of what he promoted and sponsored.

Ted Kennedy was an absolutely first-class degenerate with no redeeming qualities.  But the greatest disgrace was the fact this disgraceful supporter of abortion was buried in the Catholic Church.  I don't know what kind of deal was made there, but there's a judge that can't be influenced or bribed we all have to face.
