Is it
any wonder why we conservative republicans are so frustrated with politics in
general and Washington specifically? All we hear from our national
representatives are hollow promises, tough talk, and then the inevitable excuse
as to why they are unable to act. It's
all well and good to lodge complaints squarely at the democrats. Lord knows
they deserve it, but by now we should all understand there is no changing them.
With each passing year they lurch further to the left – far beyond the point of
reason and no return.
So
understanding that, we must rely on our Republican representatives to push back
and hold the line, sometimes regardless of the perceived cost. I say perceived
because the actual cost Republicans ever pay at the ballot box is never as
great as the talking heads try to convince us it will be, and lately has been
just the opposite (ie: winning elections post-government shutdowns or sequestration).……So what happened?
Well,
one might say – these things take time. We have to be patient. To that I say
bunk! Richard Nixon was impeached and forced to resign the presidency in less
time, so don't give me that. So we
can all "feel" good about what we saw of Senator Sessions, and I'm
glad he did it, but will it change anything? Will it at all roll back the EPA,
or even trim their budget? If the answer is no. Why waste the money on a
