Control - Let me start today with a post well off the beaten path. I’ve been struggling lately, and I know some
of you have because you’ve told me, with controlling things not in my control.
It can get very frustrating. You know something has to give, but you can’t
control what must. Or, you know
something is going to happen, but you cannot control the timing. You become
impatient. Whether it is job or family
or elections or something else, frustration abounds because you either think
you should be in control of something you are not, or you want something to
happen, but cannot control time. I
understand. I have struggled with this. Heck, I am struggling with this. I get
it. Let me tell you what I know to be true. . . . please click here for the rest of the post
Justin Berrier
of Media Matters Claims Wendy Davis Isn’t Mental, Just a Liar - Yesterday,
I noted accurately that in 1996, Wendy Davis claimed to have suffered ongoing
damage to her mental health because a newspaper editorial criticized her. She
sued in court making that claim. Never
fear liberals! Justin Berrier of Media Matters has rushed to Wendy Davis’ defense.
According to Media Matters, they admit Wendy Davis did claim she suffered
ongoing damages to her mental health, but she was just making it up to get money from the people she
was suing. That’s right. According to
Media Matters, Wendy Davis claimed in a legal pleading in a court of law that
she suffered ongoing damage to her mental health, but she was just making that
up to get money. So she’s crazy or
a liar willing to lie in court to get money from someone who criticized her. . . please click here for the rest of

The Republican
Establishment Lost Virginia - At
the urging of the Establishment, far too many national Republican donors
declined to support Cuccinelli. He
was outspent by nearly $15 million. You
cannot win if you lack the resources to be heard. Because many donors unfortunately, listening
to the DC consultants who talk endlessly about the need win chose not to
support his campaign, Cuccinelli was forced to go dark in the DC media market
the final two weeks of the campaign. By contrast, liberal billionaires nationally poured millions
of dollars into attacking him, and the GOP Establishment refused to do anything
to help. When Cuccinelli’s moderate Republican
rival for the nomination, the state’s former Lt. Governor, publicly attacked
Cuccinelli and privately urged donors not to support him, the DC Establishment said nothing. Had
a conservative done the same to a moderate Republican taken his marbles and
gone home when he did not win the primary the uproar would have been deafening.

The Unbearable
Lightness of Being Sports Media - The media is liberal. No one who is not paid by George Soros to
say otherwise disputes this any longer. But it is not enough to note that the
media is liberal; this is correct, but it is incomplete. They are also lazy,
and incompetent at their jobs. I cannot remember the last time I read a news
story about a legal case and wasn’t able to point out several glaring errors
that would have been obvious to any mid-grade lawyer. Why do we have 18 billion
stories about the same missing person running at any given time when there are
tons of people who go missing every day? Because once some reporter has latched
on to one of them, it is easier for all the other lazy reporters to latch on to
the pre-existing story than to find their own. Reporters, as a class, exist to
make lawyers feel better about themselves. . . . please click here for the rest of the post
After Sticking
U.S. With A Sick Health Care Law, Did Unions Just Get A Sweetheart Deal On
ObamaCare - Do you remember all of the fuss that
union bosses were making a couple of months ago about ObamaCare destroying the
health and well being of their members? Well, as it turns out, Barack
Obama may have covered his union buddies backs after all. According to the Washington Post’s Wonkblog, the
Obama administration is signaling it intends to exempt some union plans from
one of the law’s substantial taxes. . . . please click here for the rest of the post
