By 1968, President Lyndon Baines Johnson was finally done
in by his “credibility gap” — the growing abyss between what he said about, and
what was actually happening inside, Vietnam……were infamous euphemisms that Nixon-administration
officials used..….Reagan-administration disavowals that it was not trading
“arms for hostages” in the Iran–Contra scandal….George H. W. Bush thundered
during his campaign that voters should “read my lips: no new taxes,”…..Bill
Clinton’s infamous assertion that he “did not have sexual relations with that
woman” was followed by proof that he did just that with Monica Lewinsky……The
George W. Bush administration warned the nation about stockpiles of weapons of
mass destruction in Iraq and never quite recovered its credibility after the
WMD were not found…..Yet the distortions and lack of credibility of the Obama
administration have matched and now trumped those of its predecessors.
But the distortions and broken promises have now become
so frequent that many at home and abroad are finally tuning out the president.

My Take – Let me start out by saying that socialism is a secular religion, and like many religions it is broken into sects with varying degrees of agreement. Communism is the left wing, fascism is the right wing of socialism and environmentalism is the church militant. One could easily use the terms, leftist, communist, socialist, progressive, liberal, feminist and environmentalist interchangeably, with slight caveats, because they are all cut from the same stone.
Hanson is one of my favorite writers, but he’s wrong. All of the above instances involving other presidents were carried to the public by a media obsessed with destroying them, with the exception of Bill Clinton. They had to be dragged to that stage whining and bellyaching, and then only because it was about sex, and the public was obsessed with it. But when they realized that - sex is private- is a narrative that would save him….they embraced it and ran with it in order to obfuscate the real reason for his impeachment - lying under oath - and the general public still doesn't get it.
The other presidents were hated by the press and their bedmate leftists. Johnson was acting like an anti-communist at a time when the party’s base activists, and their cat’s-paws in the media, were all communists (if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, I don’t care what it calls itself ….it’s a duck), so he had to suffer. Nixon was despised by that same cabal in spite of the fact he was, as a presumed anti-communist, without question one of the most successful communists to ever sit in the White House. He gave them EPA and OSHA and a host of environmental and economic regulations that haunt us today. They hated Reagan beyond belief because he was a conservative, and a Republican, and unendingly called him the “Teflon” president because, according to them, nothing they threw at him stuck. The two Bush’s were Republicans, and that of course was unbearable….and neither of them was a conservative. But Obama is the absolute “Teflon” president.
If any of the above presidents, including Clinton, had the scandals Obama has had under his watch, or pronounced half the lies Obama has uttered the entire nation would have demanded his impeachment. That won’t happen because the media will not allow it to happen, and because those who swore an oath to the U.S. Constitution ‘don’t have the votes’, - apparently 'votes' is another word for 'guts' - to impeach because they’re more concerned about being attacked by rapid dogs in the leftist media who would cost them the next election.

Presidential Tracking Poll: 48% Approve of Obama's Job Performance, and that has
happened because the media will never deliver the goods on Obama, no matter how
much Fox News (which more Charles Krauthammer than Sean Hannity) or talk radio
screams about him, and no matter what he does. The media will cover for him
until Hillary is made president, and by then….it won’t matter because it will
be too late. Hillary will finally give the leftists want they want. A
totalitarian government that destroyed the Constitution, the economy, and made
everyone serfs.
