A Byte of News For the Cowboy in All of Us!
Nancy Pelosi Clueless About ObamaCare - The look on her face after being shown the first clip of her earlier, false assurances (at about the 1:00 mark)? Priceless.
If David Gregory were actually on top of
it, he'd notice that she's arguing that nothing in the law requires that
Americans' insurance policies be dropped . . . so is she throwing the Obama
administration under the bus for interpreting the grandfather clause so
narrowly? Ah, well, at least he's actually willing now to ask the tough
questions that should have been asked before the law was passed. Here's what I cannot decide about Nancy
Pelosi: Is she faking cluelessness in order to dodge the tough questions, or is
she truly that clueless? It's scary either way.
Dem Senator: ‘We All Knew’ Obama Was
Lying - On Sunday, appearing on ABC’s This Week with fill-in host Martha
Raddatz, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) admitted that Democrats knew full well
that Americans would be booted from their health insurance plans as an effect
of Obamacare implementation. When asked
whether Democrats were misled by President Obama about whether Americans would
be able to keep their plans in the individual insurance market, Gillibrand
answered: “He should’ve just been specific. No, we all knew.” She added that the whole point of Obamacare
was to “covering things people need, like preventive care, birth control,
pregnancy.” The redistributive nature of Obamacare, Gillibrand stated, was the point
of the program; anyone claiming ignorance, therefore, is not telling the truth.
Anonymous hacking group targeting government
websites, FBI warns - The FBI is warning of a campaign by a mysterious Internet
hacking group to breach numerous federal agencies’ computer systems and the
resulting theft of thousands of people’s personal information. According to a
memo obtained by Reuters hackers associated with Anonymous exploited a flaw in
Adobe Systems’ ColdFusion software -- used to construct websites -- to
accomplish the break-ins. Among the
affected agencies were the U.S. Army, Department of Energy and the Department
of Health and Human Services, although the FBI memo reportedly warns the damage
could be far more widespread.
Pennsylvania Town Gives Anti-Gun
Mayor the Boot - Chambersburg, PA
residents voted Mayor Pete Lagiovane (D) out of office on November 5th after he
signed up to be part of former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Mayors
Against Illegal Guns. According to
Salena Zito on RealClearPolitics.com, the anti-gun influence of Bloomberg made
Chambersburg hunters and gun owners feel like they were under attack. And the
combination of Bloomberg and “Washington [trying to regulate] gun ownership
with more background checks” caused Chambersburg residents “to react in the
only respectful way they know: [by voting] out of office those who are
infringing on their way of life.” Mayor-elect
Darren Brown (R) says that once he is sworn into office in January 2014, “the
very, very first thing [he'd] like to do is get Chambersburg off the [MAIG]
list.”
Duck Dynasty’-backed candidate wins
Louisiana congressional election - Vance
McAllister, a political newcomer with the backing of the popular “Duck Dynasty”
TV family, was elected as Louisiana’s newest member of Congress Saturday night. According to the Louisiana Secretary of
State’s website, McAllister led establishment candidate Neil Riser 59.7 percent
to 40.3 percent — a difference of over 17,500 votes — with 976 of a possible
981 precincts reporting. McAllister
advanced to this weekend’s election to face off against Riser after an October
contest with more than a dozen other candidates from both political parties —
in what is known as a “jungle primary.”
Airborne Ranger, Afghan vet latest
to oppose Graham - Another
candidate announced his opposition to Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R.-S.C.) in the
2014 primary on Veterans Day at a Tea Party meeting at the Myrtle Beach
Friendly’s Restaurant. Graham’s support
for President Barack Obama’s policies and his devious practice
of sabotaging conservatives on Capitol Hill, while campaigning back home as a
conservative, drove him to declare a campaign to unseat him, said Bill Connor,
an Orangeburg attorney, who is married with three children. “I am trying to bring back smaller government
and constitutional government,” he said.
